- The Marvellous Mishaps of Anon and Chrysalis
- Chapter 5: Cave Story is fucking hard serious what the hell man
- >The next few days went by without much incident
- >You had found that the life of a Changeling wasn't as bad as you thought, though you'd prefer the surface if you could. The air here was very stale.
- >Chrysalis, Ditto and you met with various officials, including the guy in charge of the Hive you were in. He was kindof stuck up and didn't take to you that well. The feeling was mutual.
- >You also met with the militia captain in the area. You didn't really pay much attention, as Ditto was doing most of the talking.
- >You also met some Changeling mare(?) named Poly, who had flown right into you by accident. She reminded you of Rainbro, actually, though without the rainbow mane, obviously.
- >Otherwise things were good. Chrysalis kept taking you to the same resturant for every meal, though. Turned out Changeling's weren't big on kitchens. You ended up going though every dish they served within a few days. It was good.
- >Though the fact it wasn't purely vegetarian might be part of why you liked it so much.
- >...Though beetles weren't exactly beef. But whatever. /fit/ would be happy
- >You sat within your room, which you shared with Chrysalis
- >After the first day, she had stopped putting on her 'moves' and let you be.
- >She was taking her rejection very well though, and seemed to try to stay positive.
- >Not that she didn't still complain. She did that quite a bit. Apparently her home in the Alpha Hive was 'far superior.'
- >You glanced towards your bed. Chrysalis had fetched a second one for you, which was good.
- >Even if these beds were much bigger, you weren't inclined to share with the Queen.
- >Your jimmies were still recovering from that specific night. You werent sure the damage would ever heal.
- >But whatever, not something that could be helped. You walk over to the balcony, and peer outward.
- >When you entered you had missed a few details. Like the clock'tower'. It was fairly high, and fluorescent, but was carved into the cave wall, as opposed to being a real tower.
- >It was roughly noon or so when your ears picked up the sound of Chrysalis' approach. You turned to face her.
- >She lacked her usual cheeky grin. Something was up
- "Something wrong?"
- >She sighed, "Maybe. Apparently the miners building tunnels struck into another set of tunnels, built by somep0ny else."
- >Other tunnels? Who else would have tunnels underground?
- "Maybe other Changelings?"
- >She seemed uneasy at this, but shook her head. "No, they apparently are a completely different style. Quite crude, actually."
- "I take it you want to investigate?"
- >She rolled her eyes, "No Anon, I want to sit here and watch the walls erode. Lets go!"
- >And so you did. The ride was uneventful. There was a few guards with you, plus Ditto, obviously. Ditto was always there.
- >If you didnt know better you'd think he had a thing for the Queen. But you knew better.
- "So uh, Chrysalis."
- >She turned to you, from her seat. "Anonymous?"
- >You look about at the tunnel you were in. It was actually quite spacious.
- "How come, we are checking on this personally? I can understand Ditto, but us?"
- >She looked off towards wherever you were heading. "I do not know how royalty work where you're from, Anonymous, but here, it is my duty to ensure my subjects are safe and healthy."
- >That made sense. You nodded in confirmation. She seemed pleased at that.
- >Eventually you came to a stop, some distance off. The two miners who were pulling the chart unhitched themselves, and opened the side doors.
- >You got up, with them, and they led you down another tunnel. It was not as big as the one you had just left, nor as bright, but whatever
- >Eventually you reached a point where the Changeling Tunnel broke through to another tunnel. The difference was blatant.
- >While Changeling tunnels had fairly smooth floors, evenly placed green fluorescent lamps, and various helpful things, these tunnels had none of that.
- >The floor was uneven, the lamps were pretty much nonexistant, and there was no consistency in the width or even height of the things.
- "So we're going in here, then?"
- >The miners nod, "You are."
- >Chrysalis let the way, horn glowing with green light. She was flanked by the guards you had brought.
- >You were behind her, and Ditto brought up the rear. You were grateful Chrysalis wasn't Fluttershy; she'd be probably trying to show off various goods by now.
- >...Not that you were looking. God damnit brain.
- >Your brain just laughed. Your jimmies had already become rustled, and you hadn't even done shit.
- >Eventually you reached a wide open construct. There was a few torches, and Chrysalis cut out her magical glow.
- >You walked ahead, and grabbed the torch. This place seemed so familiar...
- >You held the torch in front of you, and turned to Chrysalis,

"Save your magic. I'll handle the light."
- >She shrugged, "Suit yourself."
- >You chose another passage, one that went specifically down. It wasn't that steep at least, and you made your way down.
- >You were now in the lead, and eventually the tunnel opened up into an underground lake. Pretty cool shit, actually.
- >You slip, though, like a full retard, and the torch goes flying into the lake.
- >Everything goes black
- >Chrysalis lets out a dismayed sigh, "Damnit Anonymous..."
- >However the sound of footsteps catches everyone's attention. You all turn towards another passage.
- >There stands a dog like creature, which stood on two legs. It was wearing what seemed to be a nightgown, complete with hat.
- >There was a much smaller one beside it, which held a torch illuminating itself, and it's companions. (Which is why you could describe this)
- >The 3rd one was a big brute fellow, a bit taller than the middle one. He, and the little one wore vests.
- >The middle one yawned, "What is all this noise? I am trying to get my beauty sleep!"
- >Oh god, that fucking voice. It was so scratchy and high pitched.
- >He blinked. The other two mirrored his expression.
- >You looked where he was looking, at Chrysalis and the Changelings.
- >The big one spoke, "Uh... Are you gems?"
- >The small one facepalmed, "No you idiot! They aren't gems! They are intruders!"
- >The middle one gasped, "Intruders! Guar-"
- "Hold on a second!"
- >He stopped, and looked where the sound came from. So did the Changelings, actually.
- >The small one lifted its torch and took a few tenative steps forward. Eventually everyone was visible.
- >The middle one, probably the leader, narrowed its eyes once it saw you. You remembered this idiot, and he remembered you.
- >"I remember you! You intruded here before! What are you doing here!"
- >You shrug, uncaring. Chrysalis looks at you, then him, then back at you. "Do you know these... creatures?"
- "Unfortunately. A while back they kidnapped a p0ny I knew, and I helped get her back."
- >She nodded at this, but then the big dog spoke, "Oh you! Big creature who took noisy horse away!"
- >The small one smiled, "Thank you for that. How can you even listen to that creature?"
- >You roll your eyes at them, shrugging, not having enough fucks left to bother with a response.
- >The middle one crosses it's arms. "That doesn't explain why you are intruding here again! You can't have any more gems! They are OURS!"
- "Wasn't going to ask for any..."
- >He turns to Chrysalis, "You! Big bug p0ny creature! Identify yourself!"
- >She glares at him, then places a hoof on her chest, declaring, "/I/ am Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings, and you shall treat me with respect."
- >The Diamond Dog is not impressed, "Whatever Chrysaless, I don't care. What do you want?"
- "Well, we actually wanted to know who's tunnels we broke though to. And now we know, so I guess we'll be going..."
- >You start for the entrance, "Hold on you!"
- >The small one clears his throat, "You said you broke into our tunnels?"
- >Ditto speaks for the first time that day, "Correct. Our miners indavertantly discovered your complex. We'll try to avoid it if we can."
- >The big one scratches it's head, "What are bug p0nies doing digging anyway?"
- >Ditto shrugs, "To find ores, or perhaps gems. What are you dogs doing digging?"
- >"Gems, of course! Precious precious gems!"
- >The big one seems to be in pure bliss at the mention of his occupation. What was up with Diamond Dogs and gems?
- >The leader places a claw on his chin, thiking, "Hm..."
- >He points at the small one, "Spot! Get us thier gems! No matter the cost!"
- >He turns and walks out. 'Spot' seems fairly confused at this order. Chrysalis smiles darkly at him
- >"You want our gems, huh? Is that a fact? Well perhap you can be of use to us..."
- >Spot seemed uneasy at this, and kept glancing towards his bigger compainion, "...What did you have in mind?"
- >You ended up back in Epsilon Hive, at the one resturant. Spot and Fido as you learned his name was, had come with you.
- >You sat back, eating some of the 'burgers' they sold. You tried to pretend it was beef or maybe chicken, but the beetle taste was too strong to ignore.
- >Chrysalis was talking with Spot about gems. It turned out Changelings didnt have uses for most gems they had, and Diamond dogs didnt need the ore they found.
- >So they were figuring out how they'd trade them, and whatnot. You were just sitting about.
- >Spot was also sitting about. He had some of the burgers too. He was eating them greedily.
- >Ditto was beside you. He said nothing. It was kindof boring, honestly.
- >You turned to Fido, and figured you'd start up a conversation
- "So, uh Fido. How'd you get into the mining business?"
- >He pauses in his relentless assault on the burgers before him, and looks at you.
- >"What does human thing mean? Diamond Dogs always get gems. It is our calling!"
- >Not the answer you were looking for, but okay.
- "Ah, I see. So your parents were miners too?"
- >He rolls his eyes, "Yes. All Diamond Dogs are miners. We mine gems. It is our calling!"
- "Right."
- >Later that day, you again were looking out from your new home's balcony.
- >The lack of anything really productive to do had taken its toll on your form. You sighed. Perhaps you should just get some sleep?
- >Chrysalis however, had other ideas, and landed beside you on the balcony. You backed up slightly. Her landings weren't very good...
- "Uh hi Chrys. What's up?"
- >She streched her neck out, smiling at you, "Not much Anonymous. Things are going well. I just checked up with the militia; they have the tunnel to your house secure."
- >Your house was secured? Well that's good.
- "Well, I suppose I should head over to get my stuff?"
- >She rolls her eyes, and walks over to you. She leads you inside, smiling.
- >"How about we just relax together? We can fetch your TV or whatever you want from your home tommorrow."
- >She lies on her back in her bed. She winks at you. Cautiously, you lie in the bed beside her.
- >She rests her head beside yours.
- >"You know Anonymous, despite everything, I am enjoying our time together." You smile for her.
- "Yeah. Living in a cave isn't as bad as I thought it would be. You guys have really carved out a nice existance."
- >You laugh at your pun, and despite her contempt face, you could tell she found it funny too.
- >Her gaze disolved back into a smile. You returned the gesture. "Not bad for a bunch of bugs, huh?"
- "Not bad at all."
- >The next day, you were up early, relatively. You rose out of your bed, and got dressed.
- >You were going to enjoy getting back to your house. You weren't fond of wearing the same damn outfit five days in a row.
- >Chrysalis was still asleep though, to your dismay. You weren't going to wake her, though. You had done that once.
- >Never again.
- >You went downstairs, and headed down a hallway to Ditto's office/room.
- >You gave it a liberal knock, to see if there'd be an answer. Unfortunately, there was not.
- "Must be asleep. How early am I?"
- >You shrug, and decide to take a walk around town. You had never really gone about on your own before; Chrysalis was always dragging you from place to place.
- >Well, she was asleep right now, so you figured you could take a quick stroll.
- >You exited the 'palace' and began your walk.
- >You were certain today was probably a bright, sunny day. (It wasn't. The weather patrol had scheduled a downpour that day. It would be going on until later that evening.)
- >You decided you'd do a lap. What harm could it do.
- >You walked past a number of administrative buildings. A post office. The militia headquarters.
- >Eventually you entered residential areas, in the deeper part of the cave.
- >You saw young Changeling children running about, playing various games. How cute.
- >You saw a few adults talking, or going from place to place.
- >You also saw a Changeling flying.
- >You didn't see it fly /into/ you, though. Ow.
- >You rub your head. Fucks sake
- "Did anyone get the number of that SUV?"
- >You hear a groan, "Uhh... Sorry about that... Didn't see you."
- >You open your eyes to see... Wait a second
- "Didn't you do this before? Poly?"
- >The Changeling jumps at it's named. "Woah! Hey you're that Anonymous guy. S-Sorry about this! It won't happen again!"
- >You get up, dusting yourself off,

"Considering my luck, it probably will. You should watch where you're going."
- >"Yeah, she really should." You notice a small group of dismayed Changelings had formed a crowd around the two of you.
- >One of them approaches you, "We are all very sorry about this. We'll keep her out of your hair." He bows in respect.
- >Why were the Changelings bowing to you? That was exactly what you asked them.
- >Poly rolls her eyes, "Well, since you're hanging with the Queen, they figure you're her consort or something. Even though that's rediculous."
- >You do a double take. Seriously?

"Yes. That's absolutely rediculous. I'm a friend, nothing more."
- >The same one bows again, "My apologies, sir! We didn't mean to uh, offe-"
- >"You're making it worse, Slider. Anyway, sorry about that crap."
- >She jumps up, her wings buzzing, and she takes off, flying off to who knows where.
- >You return from your walk. You found the Changeling's were insufferable in honoring you. Now you knew how the Princesses felt.
- >Entering the building, you find Ditto who is talking to a few guard. He gestures to upstairs, and returns to his discussion. Something about tactics. You didn't really care.
- >You went back upstairs, and find Chrysalis was now awake. She was reading a book in her bed.
- "Chrysalis, hi. Ditto said you needed something?"
- >She smiled at you, though she seemed tired, "Mmm, yes. How was your walk?"
- "It was fine. That Poly mare flew into me again, but otherwise it was well, fine."
- >She nodded, "You're not injured, then?" She closed her book, and got out of bed.
- "Nope, I'm completely fi-Woah what the?"
- >You were cut off by a green aura lifting you up. Chrysalis just smiled deviously, and giggled at your dismay.
- "Uh, how about you put me down."
- >Her smile grows, "Alright."
- >Her levitation breaks, but she manages to toss you with it regardless.
- >You land on Chrysalis back. She grunts from the effort to hold you up.
- "What are you doing?"
- >She doesn't answer you how you expected. "Hold on tight."
- >Before you could even speak, Chrysalis was flying about. Panicing, you grabbed onto the nearest thing; her hair.
- >Bad choice, clearly. She yelled out in pain, and you let go,

"S-Sorry."
- >She glared back at you, "You are lucky you're my friend, Anonymous."
- >She flutters out off of the Balcony. Your hands find a much better perch around her neck, as she flies about. She's smiling once more.
- >"Duck."
- >Hm? Duck? Oh shit!
- >You duck, barely missing the entry way to the main tunnel.
- >She slows down somewhat due to the tighter space, and traffic, though she's still going quite fast.
- >You notice a number of carts in the tunnel. The ones going with you held various mundane gems, though there were some precious ones mixed in.
- >The ones going back had various bars of metals and rocks of what you would guess to be raw ore.
- >It seemed trade with the Diamond Dogs was already underway. These Changeling's wasted no time, clearly.
- >"Enjoying the ride?" Somehow you knew it was a rhetorical question. The adrenaline pumping through your veins probably would of butchered anything you said anyhow.
- >She giggled once again. Her laugh was actually quite cute, "I can taste it, you know. Happiness is one of my favorites..."
- >You laugh nervously. One of?
- >Eventually you reached the passage to the outpost which held the tunnel to your house
- >Chrysalis landed, and you disembarked. This tunnel was definately too small for flight. Or, well, the Queen's flight, at least.
- >You entered, leading the way, Chrysalis right behind.
- >You were quite happy to be heading home, though as you approached you began to dread what might be next.
- >After all Shining Armor and Cadance were most likely still after you. For all you knew, they were camping out in your kitchen, waiting for you.
- >They'd best have not touched your booze. That shit wasn't cheap.
- >You eventually reached the Outpost, the Changeling from before, the newly promoted, Sargeant Shifty, greeting you.
- >She directed towards the tunnel to your house, and assigned a guard to go with you.
- >While they reported no movement inside the house, they said it was 'better safe than sorry'
- >How did they even know no one was inside your house? Apparently they had put various enchantments inside it.
- >As long as there weren't pentagrams of blood on your walls, you were sure you'd be alright with it.
- >Maybe.
- >You reached the Basement in record time. It was just as you had left it. Empty.
- >You looked on at the starecase, and took a deep breath
- >You turned to Chrysalis,

"Shall we then?"
- >Upstairs was quiet. To your dismay, it was raining, but then you figured it'd be good cover if necessary.
- >You noticed that the upstairs /had/ been tampered with, though.
- >Your furniture was all out of place, though nothing was signifigantly damaged. The windows were all boarded up too. Strange.
- >Clearly the guard had been searching your home.
- >Instinctively, you head to your kitchen, and check your booze cabinet.
- >Son of a bitch. It was all gone.
- >You opened your fridge, and indeed, the food was gone too.
- >Chrysalis walked in behind you, and noticed your booze cabinet was open, "Please tell me we didn't come here only for your scotch."
- >You were about to complain about her anti-alcoholism, but you couldn't find any fucks to give
- "No. Lets go upstairs."
- >You head upstairs, and go into your room. You noticed the window was unblocked here.
- >You swore you saw a pinkish aura outside, but the rain
- >The bed was slightly off center, but otherwise it was unmolested.
- >Or at least you thought so. You went into your drawers. Your clothing was mostly all there.
- >You and Chrysalis packed some of it away into the boxes the Guard brought. It was pretty dull, actually.
- >You checked Chrysalis' room, which was, as you expected, fairly butchered. The guards had taken everything.
- >Even some of the wallpaper had been torn off. Seriously, what the fuck?
- >You sighed, and went with Chrysalis downstairs, but remembered your secret booze stash. The one with the absolute best liqour. Hm...
- >Chrysalis was already on the stairs. She noticed you paused, "Anon? We should go. Canterlot might send another search through here at any time..."
- >You nod,

"Yeah, I just need to check one other spot. Won't be long, I promise."
- >"I will hold you to that." She turns to the Guard, "Come, let us go."
- >It nods, and follows her down the stairs.
- >Better make this quick.
- >You head back to the kitchen, and open up the cupboard under your sink.
- >You pull a clip out from the pipes, where you had previously jammed it.
- >You stuck the clip into the floorboard in the cupboard, it jamming another compartment.
- >You pull out of the floorboard, which reveals a safe.
- >You put in the 5 didget combination, and open the safe.
- >Are you fucking kidding me?
- >Your 50 year old Vodka, imported from the Gryphon kingdoms which had cost you almost 400 bits was gone.
- >You'd never get to enjoy it...
- >"Is something wrong, Anonymous?"
- >You freeze. That was /not/ Chrysalis. No... It was...
- "Luna?"
- >You turned to face the Midnight Princess, "Hail, fair Anonymous! It is good to see thou hath escaped the Changeling menace!"
- >Oh shit Oh shit OH SHIT
- "What are you doing here? How did you even..."
- >"We sense thee from afar! Your spirit holds a different feel than other creatures. It stands out, you understand."
- >You nod, wearily. Fluttershy was incompetant, and easily removed.
- >Applejack was fairly competant, but stubborn and easily difused if you had wings.
- >But Luna... God damn Luna. Not only was she a fucking Alicorn with nigh unstoppable magic, but she was royalty.
- >And you can't just yell at god damn Royalty.
- >"She walked closer to you, smiling brightly, "So, Anonymous, shall we go celebrate your return?"
- >She attempted her best bedroom eyes. It was pretty wack, honestly, and would of killed any sexual tension you had, if there had been any to begin with.
- "No, Luna. I need to go. I have... p0nies waiting for me."
- >Luna's eye's went wide. "No... They still hold you in thier grip..."
- >She shakes her head, looking determined, "I will not stand for this! I shall help thee, fair Anonymous!"
- >Her horn begins to glow...
- >But the spell she was forming is disrupted, as a green bolt slams her away from you.
- >Luna is smashed into your cupboards, unable to fully comprehend what the fuck just happened
- >You take a few steps back, and look to the door
- >Chrysalis stands there, her horn still glowing. She looks to you, "Go, Anonymous. I will deal with this one."
- >Luna stands, focusing. She glares daggers at the Queen, "You! Thy hath taken our precious Anonymous away! Die by our hoof, monster!"
- >Her horn glows and she fires a ray of energy at Chrysalis. She counters it with one of her own.
- >You thought to make a comment on how Chrysalis would technically die by Luna's magic, not her hoof, but thought better of it.
- >It was time to get the fuck out. This shit was going to be messy. You slipped by, into the foyer, and headed for the basement
- >As soon as you put a single foot on the basement staircase however, your front door burst open
- >Royal guards, Royal guards everywhere!
- >"Stop right there, Criminal Scum!"
- >Fuck that shit
- >You run down the stairs, nearly tripping on the way. Oh shit, where was Chrysali-
- >A huge explosion rings out upstairs
- >The guard is urging you to head inside the tunnel, "She will be fine! Our Queen is invincible!"
- >Uh huh. Sure.
- >You ran back to the outpost. You had no idea what had happened in your house, and didn't really want to go check.
- >Hopefully Chrysalis would teleport in soon.
- >You waited.
- >Nothing came. Fuck.
- "We need to go back for her."
- >The guards were uneasy at this. They wanted to help the Queen, but weren't sure how they could help.
- >"We cannot leave the tunnel unguarded. It'd probably take all of us to even make a dent in those ranks... and well"
- "It'd leave this place unguarded. I get it, I get it. But still."
- >You sigh, looking off towards where your house was. This was your fault, you realized.
- >It was your idea to head back, and you just HAD to get your fucking booze.
- >Though it was fucking awesome booze. Or well, you figured it was. Not like you ever tried it.
- >Fucking Shining Armor.
- >More guards were pouring in. Ditto was leading them.
- >He approached you, half furious, half paniced, and half scared, "Anonymous! Where is our Queen."
- >You point upwards.
- >Ditto was furious. He was usually so stoic, it was actually quite jarring.
- >"This is terrible! We must help her! Anonymous!"
- >You flinch as he turns to you. His eyes were a purplish color now.
- >You figured that was the equivalent of red eyes.
- "Ditto?"
- >"We are going after her. Now."
- >You blinked at him, waiting for him to elaborate. He did not.
- "That's it? We're going to go get her?"
- >He nodded, "Yes."
- >There was a pause.
- "Well then, I guess we should get going?"
- >He nods again, "Yes, we should."
- >And so you left for your home, once more. You were flanked by four other guards
- >As you entered the basement, there was one guard standing about
- >He was rather confused when five Changelings and you walked out of what he saw as a brick wall.
- >He didn't even get a chance to yell out, before the troops were on him. You let them do thier thing.
- >Using thier mighty changeling magic, you soon found yourself with five Equestrian Royal guards.
- >They had 'tied you up' using some rope, though the knot was so pathetically done that you could easily just pull it part.
- >They 'led' you upstairs, and out of the building. Two stayed behind.
- >Ditto had said they would 'deal with' the other guards inside, so they wouldn't cause any problems.
- >Hopefully it wouldnt be fatal damage. You didn't really want ponies to get hurt.
- >Plus blood is a pain in the ass to get out of carpet.
- >Outside was a carrige, and a handful of other guards.
- >Shining Armor, was, surprise surprise, giving orders.
- >A guard in front of him noticed you, and pointed. He turned to you and your 'captors'
- >He sighed, and approached, "Hello Anonymous."
- >You just glared at him,

"Where is the Queen."
- >He returned the glare. "Not something you need concern yourself with. Take him."
- >You were led onto a carrige, the three guards with you inside, while two others pulled it off.
- >The rain had let up, at least. You wouldn't be absolutely soaked when you got through this.
- >You were carted through town, though the Guard took efforts to avoid the more popular roads
- >That didn't stop a few rather important ponies from noticing you, though
- >Rainbro was already floating by within a few minutes of you entering town
- "Hi there, Rainbro. What's up?"
- >Fear was plainly on her face, "Anon? What happened to you? What's going on?"
- >"Stop talking to the prisoner." The guard pulling the cart. They sped up slightly, but you doubted they'd be able to actually outpase her, especially with the cart behind them.
- >She opened her mouth in protest, but was tapped by Ditto, who's eyes flashed thier natural color.
- >"Come to the prison later. We will speak then."
- >She nodded, then turned to glare at the cart pullers, "Don't you do anything to him, got it!"
- >They ignored her and continued pulling.
- >Eventually you arrived at the Ponyville jail.
- >You were led in by Ditto and his crack team of doppelgangers.
- >Time to find the Queen.
- >Inside the jail was what you would expect.
- >Ponyville was not a large settlement. The jail only had room for 4 p0nies maximum. 8 if they shared rooms.
- >There really wasn't much crime in here. And thus, no criminals.
- >You WERE surprised to see Luna standing in front of one of the cells, most likely Chrysalis'
- >She was berrating the Queen, most likely, but then noticed your arrival
- >"Anon? Ah, there you are. We were most fearful that thou had been harmed"
- >She glances to your guards, then back at you. "Leave us."
- >Ditto shakes his false head, "We are under orders to stay with Anonymous under all circumstances."
- >Luna rolls her eyes, "Well you are relieved from said orders. Leave us."
- "I'd rather stay with the guards, honestly."
- >You can see her eye twitch just slightly at your comment. She was not in a good mood, clearly.
- >"Is there a reason why thou ignorest our orders?"
- >"We are not to let Anonymous out of our sights. Celestia demands it."
- >She pauses at the mention of her sister's name. She sighs, and mutters something under her breath. You aren't sure what.
- >"Very well. But I wish to speak to Anonymous. He is under Changeling control still. These magics must be purged before we will be able to get any information from him.
- >From within the far cell, you hear a voice call out, "Keep your filthy hooves off of him..."
- >It was Chrysalis. And she was hurt.
- >Luna approached you, horn glowing.
- >"Now, please stay still, Anonymous. This needs to be direct, or it may not fully take.
- >Mhm. Okay Luna. Except I'm not being mindcontrolled.
- >She places her horn on your forehead, and a wave of magical energy rushes through you.
- >Ditto, the closest Changeling guard to you, actually flickers just barely as excess magic reachs him.
- >Luckily, Luna's eyes were closed as she focused on her spell, and she did not notice. He wisely backed up.
- >Luna removed her horn, and looked up to face you. Your head was pounding, and you felt exactly the same.
- >"Fair Anon, how do you feel? Better?"
- "No. Much worse actually. Oh god my head..."
- >She frowns at this, "We apologize. Control breaker type spells often have such side effects. It will subside shortly."
- >You nod, "Uh huh."
- >You take a look at the night Princess before you. You hadn't noticed the minor cuts that littered her body, specifically her back.
- "What exactly happened up there?"
- >She smiles, "The Queen attempted to overpower me, but failed. Her spell was disrupted as the guard distracted her, and she eventually caused it to overload."
- >She looked down sheepishly, "I was unable to prevent the explosion. Your kitchen suffered a fatal blow, and I was knocked outside through the wall."
- >She smiles again, "We were only slightly harmed, of course. We are made of far tougher stuff than that." She rose her head triumphantly. Right.
- "I see. Well then. Chrysalis?"
- >You look past Luna, and hear the Queen walk up slowly. She peers through the bars at you, and tries to smile, but she is unable.
- >You can see she was pretty badly beaten up. At least a couple hooves to the face, and there was a bandaged cut on one of her forehooves. You could see a faint pink bloodstain seeping though.
- >There were likely other wounds, but her dark form made it hard to tell where any bruises might be; but you knew they were there.
- >Luna steps into your view, "Anonymous, she is of no consequence. What matters is that you are safe and sound. We shall personally pay for your home's repairs."
- >You glare at Luna, who is surprised at your hostility.
- "What did you do to her, Luna."
- >She raises an eyebrow at your question, "We did nothing. The guard simply pacified her as they saw fit, and brought her here.
- "Is that a fact."
- >Your hostile glare had taken it's toll on the Princess. She was not used to you being so upset at her. Flustered at her annoying advances, yes, but not angry.
- >"We did cast a magic jammer on her, if that is what you mean. A variant of the tower's spell. She cannot use any form of magic, Changeling or otherwise."
- "For how long?"
- >"Why are you still so curious of the Queen's state? She is the enemy, Anonymous."
- >You raise a hand, and point it in the Princess' face, "No, Luna, right now, /you/ are the Enemy. And I will not stand by and let you hurt my friends."
- >Luna was furious at this point
- >"How dare thee! Guards, put Anonymous within his cell! I will leave him to reflect on his ungentlecoltly behavoir alone!"
- >She raised her head, as Canterlot p0nies often did. The guards did not move from thier positions.
- >She opened her eyes, and glared at Ditto, "Why do thou ignore our commands!"
- >"We do not serve /you/, Luna." Ditto's form flickered, and the Changeling Commander made himself visible for a split second, before resuming his state as the guard.
- >"We serve our Queen, Chrysalis the First of the Alpha Hive. You would be wise to let her go."
- >Luna seems to deflate at this. Her flowing mane slows, and she turns to you
- >Her anger completely gone, she looks at you silently, "Why Anonymous?" You raise an eyebrow.
- "Why what?"
- >Her heart was breaking. "Why her, Anonymous? Why her, instead of me?"
- >You sigh, and put a hand on her. shoulder.

"I'm just trying to do what is right. We shouldn't be fighting. Please, just let us go."
- >She looked away, downcast. Her horn glowed briefly, and the cage Chrysalis was confined within opened slowly, "Go. Take your Queen."
- >The other two guards approach Chrysalis, assisting her out. She walks by Luna, not even giving her a glance.
- >You back away from her.
- >Ditto sighs, "Princess Luna. It doesn't have to be this, you know."
- >She gives no response. Ditto doesn't press it further.
- >He turns back into a guard, and leaves.
- >The Changeling duo cast some strange magic on the Queen. She winces as it flows into her.
- >One of them speaks, "Please try to transform."
- >Her horn glows, dimly. She shimmers, and eventually looks like a royal guard.
- >However, her disguise is rather bad. Her eyes were the same. Her mane was still turquoise, and her coat had random splotches of grey spread throughout.
- >It'd have to do.

"Lets get out of here before Shining or Celestia come ruin our day, yes?"
- >Chrysalis nods, and walks out behind her guards.
- >You turn to Luna before stepping out. She looks up at you.
- "Sorry. About all of this."
- >"We forgive thee. Your heart is a noble one, Anonymous. That much we hath learned is true."
- >You turn, and exit into the night.
- >You found Rainbro off nearby on a cloud. She apparently was camping out the jail, waiting for her moment.
- >It had come, and she swooped down near you. You quickly walked off into an alleyway, guards and bro in tow.
- (
tags show Anonymous speaking.)
- >"So, Anonymous, what the hay is going on?"
- "We need to get somewhere secure first. Any suggestinos?"
- >She thought at this, though Ditto spoke first, "The tunnels. We must return to the tunnels."
- "Yes, because Shining Armor isn't definately guarding the hell out of said tunnels."
- >Ditto flinched, but conceded. That wasn't gonna work.
- >"How about my house? It's out of the way and stuff. Plus, I've never gotten to show you around." Rainbro laughed awkwardly, but was on to something.
- >You turned to Ditto, hand on your chin in thought,

"I'd need a cloud walk spell. I suppose you don't know any?"
- >Ditto shook his head. "Not in our doctrine, I'm afraid." Typical.
- >The other two guards gave similar responses. Chrysalis had no standard magic, and didn't know the spell either.
- >"Well, we could ask Twilight to cast it o-"
- >"Are you insane? Twilight will rat us out to Celestia on the drop of a hat. We cannot rely on her!"
- >You shake your head. Perhaps Twilight could be of use.
- "Perhaps not like this. BUt I think we can solve this..."
- >"Will it involve lying to Twi, Anon? I'm not really big on that..."
- "Don't take it as lying. Take it as... Not telling her what she doesn't ask."
- >And so you came up with an ingenious plan
- >'Rarity', otherwise known as Ditto, would go with Rainbro to the library, to learn the spell.
- >You waited, near the outskirts of town closest to her cloud home. You'd still need to fly over.
- >Luckily, the two guards were capable of lifting you if need be, and with Ditto helping, it'd be easy.
- >That just left you with your thoughts.
- >Well, not really. Chrysalis had a number of questions for you.
- "Look, I'm not really in the mood for this. Today's been a long day."
- >She rests her head on you side, leaning into you. "Yes... Today has, hasn't it?"
- >You nod, and try to relax.
- >Soon enough, 'Rarity' and Rainbow were both back with you. 'She' casted the spell, and away you were.
- >Being carried by a group of p0nies, false as they might be, was fairly awkward. Chrysalis luckily had enough strength to fly herself, and Rainbro too flew herself.
- >Though, being the bro she was, she stayed closeby, to assure your safety.
- >You landed right outside it. You had taken off right beside it, and thus no guards saw you enter its confines
- >It was definately quite the site. Even Chrysalis was somewhat impressed. Rainbro, as one might guess, soaked up all the praise her home recieved.
- >She led into what you figured was the spare bed room. She pauses
- >"Uh... Huh. Hm. I've never really had a lot of guests before..." She smiles at you sheepishly, "There's only the one bed in here. Hm..."
- >Ditto spoke up first, "The guards and I shall take your couch or equivalent." Rainbro nodded, "Alright."
- >She turned to you and Chrysalis, but Chrysalis pushed you into the room, towards the bed.
- >"Uh... Anon?"
- "Guess I'm sharing with Chrys?"
- >You try to laugh for her, but she's doesn't laugh with you. She actually seems almost... jealous.
- >But that's probably the fatigue talking. Rainbro was your bro. She wasn't like that.
- >Sleep did not come easy for you. Chrysalis had opted to remain in her 'disguise' form that night, and gave you room.
- >She was practically out cold by the time she was in the bed. Didn't even say good night.
- >You couldn't blame her for that though. She had gotten smacked about by Royal Guards.
- >She still owed you a new kitchen, but that was beyond the point.
- >Your mind wanders to what will happen tommorrow.
- >All you know is, that the world enjoyed wrecking your shit. But you had no fucks to give it.
- /Elsewhere/
- >Shining Armor was not a happy pony. After being told Anonymous /and/ Chrysalis had escaped, he quickly had a perimeter around Ponyville set up.
- >He wasn't aware Anonymous was outside said perimeter, but he had to at least try. It was his job.
- >The carrige he was in pulled up to Town Hall, and he quickly got inside.
- >Celestia was already there, talking to the mayor. Luna was off in a corner. It was as though she had lost something of great importance.
- >"Princess? Mayor?" The two turned to the Captain. Celestia lacked her usual smile, but it wasn't replaced by her stoic gaze.
- >She was legitimately upset now. "Captain? Have you found Anonymous?"
- >He shook his head, waiting to be berrated for his failure. She said nothing, so he continued, "We're still searching. I assure you, he will be found soon!"
- >"Well I would hope so! This whole Changeling nonesense has been bringing far too much negative attention to my town!"
- >Celestia turns to the mayor, "We are truly sorry for all of this, Mayor Mare. Once Luna recovers, we'll be able to find him, no matter where he runs."
- >She tries to smile at her sister, but she gets no response from her.
- >Celestia sighed, "Luna, please speak to us. You were there when they escaped. What did they do?"
- >"They took him from me, 'Tia. Anonymous is lost..." She had already given up, it seemed.
- >"Sister, that is not specific enough. How? Who? What happened in the jail?" She slowly approached her sister as she spoke.
- >Shining Armor followed Celestia's lead, "Yes, tell us. I promise, I will help Anonymous the best I can! But first we need to find him."
- >"You can't help him."
- >Shining Armor frowned at this, stopping. "Oh? Why not?"
- >"Because you can't. The Changelings... They never had him under a spell to begin with." She looked up at Celestia, who stopped.
- >"Sister, how can that be, though? Anonymous had always supported us in the past. There's no reason for him to abandon us and serve our enemies."
- >Luna sighed, "Then why did my spell fail?"
- >"Perhaps they have developed a counter spell?" The divine duo turned to the Mayor, who shrunk back at thier united gaze,
- >"I'm simply t-throwing ideas out there, your majesties." She quickly bowed. Celestia turned to Shining Armor.
- >"Do you believe that may be the case?"
- >He nodded, "It would explain much. Clearly we will need more magic if we are to overcome this barrier."
- >Celestia nodded, "Yes. We will. And I know just where to get it."
- >Luna was not so certain, but did not voice her feelings. She looked off through a window, at her moon.
- >"We will save you, Anonymous... Whatever the cost..."
