- The Marvellous Mishaps of Anon and Chrysalis
- Chapter 4: Oh, but the fucks we do not give
- >A few days had passed since your encounter with Shining Armor
- >Save one close call, when it turned out a changeling switching forms triggered the amulet, there had been no issues
- >And Chrysalis herself had already begun to sap energy out of the spell to break it
- >Chrysalis was certain she'd be finished with it later that day, and until then, Chrysalis would need to stay in her pony form, as would Ditto
- >True to her word, Rainbro didn't spill the details on Chrysalis' identity to anyp0ny
- >She even got you some information regarding the Changeling Jammer, as it was called.
- >Today it would be flown in from Canterlot on a cloud transport
- >And today you would find a way to sabotage it
- >And luckily for you, Applejack and Fluttershy were so busy disrupting eachother's plans for you that they hadn't pestered you even once
- >Today would be a good day
- >You entered sugarcube corner at noon. Rainbro and a few other ponies, including that 'Snowflake' abomination were helping to guide the jammer over
- >You were here to meet up with Ditto and Chrysalis, to finish your battle preparations
- >Though you didn't actually intend on fighting or anything, obviously
- >You headed to the designated booth. Chrysalis was already there
- >She smiled at you, "Greetings Anon. Good to see you're on time.
- >You note the empty seat beside her. Ditto was late.
- >Or well, he would be. He showed up a few minutes later, and sat with you.
- "So Ditto, how's your preparations going?"
- >He nods at you, "Our forces are in position. We have a group impersonating the construction crew, and have a few more scouts in key spots."
- >Chrysalis smiles, "Good, good."
- >Ditto smiles faintly at his Queen, then turns his attention back to you. He takes out a box from his saddle bag.
- >He puts it on the table, and pushes it to you.
- >"Inside here is the counter spell we came up with. It'll force the magic field the Jammer generates in onto itself, and cause it to overload."
- >You sigh, and nod. You take the box, and throw it into the gym bag you had obtained.
- >"Normally one of our other agents would just do this, but even while inactive the gem might break our disguises. That would cause a panic."
- >You ended up being the only candidate able to get to the Jammer itself. Go figure.
- "Well, when is the jammer going to arrive? I'd rather get this done as quick as possible."
- >They nod at you. They'd prefer it be over quickly as well.
- >You blink, a thought coming to your mind. You decide to voice this worry.
- "Also, what is to stop Canterlot from sending another one of these things over?"
- >Chrysalis seems worried at this idea, but Ditto is unfazed.
- >"I have done much research on how ponykind runs it's administration. If this Jammer fails, they would easily take a month before they would restart production. We'll be fine."
- >You nod. Fair enough, I guess. Your home's bureaucrats weren't much better, after all
- "Very well."
- >You got up, and headed for the door. You gave the pair one last look.
- >They smiled at you
- >You smiled back
- >The construction site wasn't much to look at. In fact, it was barely a construction site at all.
- >The town's clock tower, which was it's highest structure was chosen to house the Jammer inside it. It made sense, really. No reason to build another tower with this one right here.
- >There was a good deal of security too, though, which had you worried somewhat.
- >These worries would be validated, to your dismay, as the guard had put you on the 'shitlist' effectively, and didn't listen to anything you said.
- >The chariot duo from before seemingly convinced them all that you were evil. The bastards.
- >You approached the tower, and noted the shield around it's base. There was no way into the tower from the top, so the guard saved magic by only shielding the entrance.
- >And speak of the devil, the Chariot duo was watching the door.
- >You approached. They glared at you as you came into view.
- "Hi there. I have the components Twilight sent."
- >This was true, actually. Twilight did ask you to bring over some parts the day before. Chrysalis saw fit for you to wait until today to bring them. It wasn't like it was urgent.
- >The left one snorts, "Is that a fact? Leave the stuff on the table." He points to a table.
- >You wait. That wasn't the plan.
- >"Well? Get on with it, /human/." You shake your head.
- "I was told to bring it upstairs personally."
- >They roll their eyes.
- >"Oh yes, of course. Except that's not happening."
- >Before they could continue a voice from inside rung out, "Anonymous? Did you bring the parts? Come on, lets go!"
- >The guards turn to find the Foreman (Or so they thought)
- >The mighty Pegasus looked down at the guards, "Well? Open the shield you two!"
- >They nod quickly, and one runs off to another building. Soon enough the shield flickers somewhat.
- "Thanks."
- >You quickly walk through, bag in toe. You follow the foreman inside.
- >"Good to see you're here, Anonymous. Just put 'it' at the top under the green gem, and it'll do the rest."
- >You smile at him, "Understood."
- >You quickly climb the various staircases, and eventually reach the top. The few workers around ignore you, as you were told they would.
- >Turned out Changeling mind control was extremely potent indeed.
- >You reached the top of the tower, about the gears in the clock components.
- >There sat a small circular device, with some inscriptions. It had three crystals imbued in it all equal distances apart, in a triangle formation.
- >You moved in, bag slung over your shoulder. This was it.
- /Elsewhere/
- >Cadance had cooled off significantly in the days following the Queen's resurfacing.
- >It probably had to do a lot with the 'quality time' she and Shining Armor had spent recently.
- >It almost made up for her Honeymoon's abrupt end.
- >Almost.
- >Regardless, with Shining Armor busy discussing the various mundane details of the tower's workings to officials, the mayor specifically, she found herself with nothing to do.
- >She sighed, looking at the bright green amulet she wore. It was quite pretty, really, but it served another purpose.
- >It was after all, an exact duplicate of Shining Armor's, and would too glow if Anonymous found himself near Changelings.
- >She sighed again, and stood up from her bed. Today was such a nice day; there was no reason to stay inside
- >She approached the balcony door, opening it with her blue magic.
- >She smiled as the sunshine reached her coat. She looked around, spotting the Tower.
- >Well, it never hurt to check.
- >She jumped down from balcony, wings spread, and took flight.
- >It wouldn't be long before she was there. May as well say hello...
- /Inside the Tower/
- >You took out the box from before, and opened it. Inside it was a black ring.
- >On it had various runes of magic. Being unable to use it yourself, you never bothered reading up much on it.
- >You picked it up, and slid it underneath the green gem, as told
- >Gah!
- >A green bolt of magic struck out, zapping your hand. You pulled it back quickly, looking it over.
- >The damage was superficial, however, and the pain had already subsided
- >You looked back at the ring. The magical bolts had refocused on the gem, which was turning a darker green.
- >You couldn't help but smile. This would work!
- >You turned, and began your descent.
- >A few false workers shot you grateful smiles. Others just ignored your presence.
- >You reached the entrance, and spotted the foreman. You nodded to him.
- >He nodded back, "Good work, Anon."
- >You left, and the shield flickered once more at your approach. You walked through.
- >You looked up at the sun, and smiled.
- >You walked off. You ended up being just in time, as you saw Cadance land near the Tower
- >You headed towards Sugarcube Corner, to return to Chrysalis and company
- >On the way though, you noticed a number of Royal Guards on the routes you had taken before
- >Not going to deal with them, you took an indirect route
- >Unfortunately it ended up leading you straight through the market section of Ponyville
- >You did your best to avoid her, but Applejack eventually spotted you and called you over
- >Not wanting to be rude, and moreso not wanting more attention than she was giving already, you walk over to her stand
- >She leans seductively onto it, "So Anon, what brings y'all over this way?"
- "Well, you kind of called me over."
- >She blinks, frowning, "Ah suppose ah did, didn't ah. Well how ya feeling?"
- "Fine."
- >She smiles at you, eyes lidded, "Y'all sure? Ah heard about that Changeling Queen trying ta get in yer pants. Ah know ah'd be stressed out if that were happening to me.
- >You nod. Where was she going with this?
- >"Ah'd probably need some, 'help,' before ah'd get back to normal, ya understand?"
- "Yeah, well I have Chrysalis and Rainbow for that. Anyway, I should get going..."
- >She stops you, frowning, "Anon, why won't ya at least give me a try? Ah play nice, ah promise!"
- "Because I'm not interested in ponies. Now if you'll excuse me..."
- >She doesn't block you this time, but her face makes clear that it isn't over.
- >You walk onward, and eventually return to Sugarcube corner. You could see a big cloud truck(?) of sorts approach the tower.
- >You sigh, and walk into the building. Time for your report.
- >And report you did. Until a deafening shockwave ripped out through the town. What the fuck?
- >You ran out, Chrysalis and Ditto in tow, and instinctively looked towards the tower.
- >You found it rather hard to find, though. Instead you found smoke. Much smoke.
- >You turn to Ditto, furious, "What did you do!"
- >He shrinks back, his new disguise (effectively a colt version of Chrysalis) shivering in fear, "I-I don't know! It shouldn't have been that powerful!"
- >You glare at him, but Chrysalis steps between you. "We need to go. Now. This is not something we want to be here for."
- >She has a point.
- >Yes brain, I know."
- "Right. Lets get out of here."
- >Your misfortune trio indeed, got out of there, but not all things were certain. As you reached your home, you knew to expect a visit from the mighty Captain.
- >He would want answers.
- >You weren't sure if you planned on giving him any.
- >You sat down in your chair. Chrysalis sat nearby, working complicated magics. A stream of green magic flowed from her horn to your chest.
- >It was actually quite painful. But it was a necessary pain.
- >She was undoing Shining Armor's spell, after all
- >The stream flickered and stopped.
- >You looked down to her, and grasped your chest. Still raw.
- >"There. The Spell should be gone for good now." You nodded at her.
- "Thank you, Chrysalis."
- >She smiled warmly, her form beginning to shimmer as she returned to her natural state. She walked to your side.
- >"So, now what should we do?" You put a hand on your chin, thinking.
- >Oh, here's an idea
- "How about we try to talk our way out of this mess before we end up dead?"
- >She frowns at you, "You know that will not work. Ponies and Changelings do not mix."
- >Now you frown, "Those Changeling construction workers got along fine with the real ones."
- >She rolls her eyes, "Of course they did! They thought they were ponies!"
- >She had you there. They were indeed ponies.
- "Well, still, your people need to feed on the emotions, primarily love, of other races to survive. Surely you didn't always siege capitals and attempt coups to make due."
- >She frowned, looking off, as though she was remembering something from long ago.
- >You put a hand on her shoulder. You noted how soft it felt. Her 'carapace' look was highly misleading.
- >She came back to reality from your touch, and look at you.
- >You noticed how peculiar her eyes were. The pupils seemed almost reptilian. A large contrast between the normal p0nies, and even other Changelings.
- >"Anonymous, could we... do something together some time?"
- >You thought about it. You weren't so sure you wanted to be in a relationship with a Changeling...
- >But she was fairly powerful, and quite able to keep Applejack and Fluttershy out of your business
- >She was also somewhat nice, though that was probably because you let her do what she wanted.
- >She was also royalty. Free booze for life was hard to pass up.
- >But she was still a creepy, quadrupedal Insect Queen. That was hard to get over.
- >She looked at you, pleadingly. You found yourself staring off into her green eyes.
- "What did you have in mind?"
- >Oh shit. Did you just say that?"
- >Her smile grew massive, "How about we go for a walk? Later tonight?"
- >You couldn't turn her down now, not after you had lifted her up...
- "Sounds like a plan."
- >The sun had set over the horizon. While the town of ponyville appeared to have gotten over the disaster at it's precious clock tower, the ripples of it's destruction were still present.
- >You were sure Shining Armor was getting an earful from his superiors right about now. You were almost certain.
- >Regardless you weren't going to dwell on it, at least not yet
- >You had a walk to go on.
- >And so, you and Chrysalis headed to outside. She donned her disguise once more, though she was unhappy that she would need to use it still.
- >It had become clear she preferred her own skin, but you couldn't risk it
- >You started on your stroll, heading down the path away from Ponyville
- >You looked up at the night sky, and smiled. It was nice outside. Not a cloud in the sky.
- >You looked over beside you, and saw Chrysalis was sharing the sentiment.
- >You strolled together in silence, eventually nearing a lake. The two of you took a seat by the shore.
- >Chrysalis smiled, and lean up against you. You decided not to ruin the moment for her, and left her be.
- >The two of you sat in silence together, looking at the reflected sky in the water
- "This is nice."
- >She nods softly, "Yes. I used to go on many walks like this..."
- >She sighs, "Though that was a long time ago."
- >You don't say anything. You just sat with her.
- >Unfortunately, your night would not be as tranquil as you had hoped.
- >Hoofsteps could be heard approaching
- >You said nothing, but couldn't help but frown at the disturbance. Chrysalis sighed, hearing this as well. Her ears were probably better than yours anyway.
- >You turn to face Fluttershy.
- >But Fluttershy it wasn't. It wasn't Applejack either.
- >Instead, maybe a dozen feet away stood the one and only, Princess Cadance.
- >She wore a pained frown on her face. She didn't seem angry, just upset.
- >The two groups look on at eachother in silence.
- >Eventually, she spoke. "Anonymous. Why did you destroy the tower?"
- "Excuse me?"
- >She shook her head, "Anonymous..." She lifted her amulet into view.
- >"I went to visit the tower, and watch it's activation. Right before I got to it, this amulet began to glow."
- >She shook her head, "And the guards said you had just left when I arrived."
- >Shit. The bolt that zapped you must have activated the amulet.
- "It wasn't supposed to explode."
- >She glares at you, "So it was you then. Hmph."
- >She didn't notice the death glare that Chrysalis was giving her.
- >"Anonymous, I don't like being a mean p0ny. I'm nice, I assure you. But the Changelings will hurt you, and others."
- "Oh is that a fact? As the Changelings have not done me any harm while I've known them."
- >She frowns
- >"And how do you know they aren't controlling you, Anonymous? For all you know they are making you feel safe while you are in danger."
- >You shake your head. They weren't controlling you. That much you knew.
- "They aren't. They trust me. And I trust them."
- >You rise to your feet, Chrysalis standing by your side. You cross your arms.
- "Perhaps you should do the same."
- >She steps forward, "Anonymous, you still blew up the tower."
- "No I did not! I told you, it was an accident!"
- >Your anger continued to grow. She continued her approach, "An accident? Oh, so what exactly were you planning?"
- >She's only a few feet away now, but she's stopped.
- >"He was protecting /me/, Cadance. Now leave."
- >She paused, looking down at Chrysalis
- >"...You're a changeling?"
- >She nods, "That's right, 'Princess.' Now get away from my Anon!"
- >Chrysalis' horn begins to glow a sickly green. You didn't want her to attack Cadance, and you doubted she would.
- >Cadance simply narrowed her eyes. "I wish it hadn't come to this."
- >Cadance's horn began to glow. What was she...?
- >You never got a chance to figure that thought, as Chrysalis struck out, a green bolt of energy lashing out at Cadance
- "Chrysalis, no!"
- >The beam never connected, as a pink shield materialized around her, deflecting the blow
- >Wait, pink?
- >Shining Armor! Damnit, she must of told him already, and they planned this...
- >Oh crap, now what?
- >You turn, as a group of royal guards come out of nearby foliage. At the head is, of course, Shining Armor
- >He's furious, "Get them!"
- >They charge downward towards you. From what you know of cavalry tactics, being trampled is not fun.
- >But Chrysalis would be having none of that, and her horn glowed stronger, it's aura encompasing you
- >Everything went white in a flash
- >Your vision slowly returned. What was that?
- >You looked about, and found yourself in your house. The basement specifically.
- >You look about, and spot Chrysalis. She turns to you, fear and worry drowning out all her other emotions.
- >She points to the tunnel, "Go! Now! I will get Ditto."
- >You find yourself unable to move.
- >She shakes her head, "Anonymous, Go! I will be fine..."
- >You weren't so sure. But you couldn't just sit around...
- >You turn to the tunnel, and enter within...
- >Despite the green lamps overhead, the tunnel succeeded in being very dark
- >You had tripped over various outcrops multiple times. Legendary miners, huh?
- >A good ten minutes in, you still saw no sign of anything
- >Looking back, you saw no indication that Chrysalis was right behind
- >This day had just gotten worse and worse
- >You continued your trek through the tunnel, eventually reaching a larger room
- "What the..."
- >You spotted a pair of eyes near the corner of said room. You weren't in here alone.
- >You attempted to wave at it, though you had no idea if it saw anything
- >The eyes did not relent in their gaze. You took a few steps into the room
- >"Halt." The voice was scratchy; was definitely a changeling. "Who goes there?"
- >Well, there's no point in lying to him...
- "Anonymous."
- >The eyes narrow somewhat, "What is your business here?"
- >You shrug, though it's effect was lost to the darkness.
- "The Queen sent me through. Where exactly am I?"
- >The Changeling ushered you into a small outcrop.
- >Inside was what you figured would be a standard changeling bed, as well as a few random chests
- >You took a seat on the edge of the bed
- >The changeling eyed you curiously. It seemed to have bought your story, but you weren't certain.
- >"This is where you will stay, for now. Do you know where the Queen is?"
- >You shake your head.
- "She said she was going to fetch Ditto. I figured she'd be right behind me."
- >The changeling sighs. "I see."
- >You sit in the dim light of the lamps, thinking.
- >Before you were simply housing an enemy of the state
- >But now, you were an enemy of the state. How much worse could this get?
- >...Well you suppose Applejack and/or Fluttershy could rape you, but they seemed to lack the competence for that.
- >Well, Fluttershy at least. You thought back to the many close calls you had with Applejack.
- >Without Rainbro around, you'd have been screwed. Quite literally.
- >You sigh.
- >You notice the Changeling is still sitting about in the room, near the entrance.
- "Uh, you just gonna sit there all night?"
- >The changeling turns it's head towards you. Your eyes have gotten used to the abysmal lighting, and you're able to partially make out it's face.
- >"This is actually my quarters as well, Anonymous. This outpost is only designed for one personnel.
- >Outpost? Ah, so that's what this place was.
- "Oh. Right. So where will you sleep then? It seems I've got your bed..."
- >The Changeling looks back towards the entryway. "It is of no consequence. I will be fine on the floor."
- >Well, okay then. Thanks I guess.
- "Hm. What about the Queen?"
- >The changeling pauses at this. "Hm. That's a good question." It gets up, and begins to look about.
- >"There should be a spare. Watch for her, yes?"
- >You nod, and replace the Changeling at the door.
- >You hear various rumblings in the other parts of the cave.
- >"Anonymous, uh, could you help me with this?"
- >You turn your head to see the Changeling attempting to lift another 'bed' up with it's magic
- >You walk over, and lift the bed. It's actually extremely light. You hold it up and walk it into the bedroom, placing it some distance from yours.
- >You turn back to the doorway, to find a shocked Changeling gaping at you
- "What?"
- >"How did you lift that so easily? Just what ARE you?"
- >You smile at it. "They call us, humans."
- >You spend about an hour telling the Changeling about humans.
- >You feel good, your night being somewhat salvaged. The thing sure was curious.
- >You hear the telltale clipclop of hooves. You turn towards the entrance.
- >It's Ditto, and Chrysalis.
- >Both are in their natural states. The Changeling salutes(?) Ditto. He nods
- >Chrysalis walks towards you, looking sad.
- >She reaches you, and you put a hand on her shoulder,
- "What's wrong, Chrys?"
- >She raises an eyebrow at your shortform, but doesn't voice her displeasure.
- >She shakes her head, "It wasn't supposed to be like this..."
- >You smile weakly at her, "There's no way you could of controlled it. Come on. We should probably get some rest."
- >She returns your smile, "Yes..."
- >She slips past you into the room, noting the beds.
- >You get into your bed. It's a bit cramped, but you'll make do.
- >You let out a deep breath, closing your eyes.
- >You are disturbed however, when Chrysalis slips in beside you in the bed.
- >It was cramped before, but this was ridiculous.
- "Chrysalis, what are you doing"
- >She's almost right on top of you. Turning your head slightly, you find her head right by.
- >"Shhh. Just sleep."
- >She shifts slightly, resting her head on your shoulder. Her horn is luckily not in an inconvenient position, but its still uncomfortable.
- >But she was already out, you realized. Guess you were stuck.
- >You close your eyes, and try to sleep.
- >It isn't easy, but eventually you drift out from consciousness...
- >You awake some time later. You were about to get up to initiate your morning routine, but you found yourself immobilized.
- >You look over to find Chrysalis still passed out beside you, her body covering half your form. Shit.
- >You try to shimmy your way out, but she's much heavier than you thought.
- >Better not tell her that, though.
- >You sigh. "Ditto? You there?"
- >You hear a mild grumbling, followed by the buzzing of Changeling wings.
- >Before long, Ditto was on your side of the bed, facing you. He wasn't wearing his helmet, and looked a good deal like that other Changeling.
- >"You call, sir?" He was tired still.
- >You move your head in gesture to the Queen.
- "Wake her up for me."
- >He blinks at your request, "Sir? She's right beside you..." You nod.
- "Yep. Wake her up."
- >He frowns, "Any specific reason why you want /me/ specifically to wake her?"
- >You nod, and smile.
- "Yeah. She'll be mad at you, and not me."
- >Ditto just rolls his eyes, "Hmph."
- >Chrysalis wasn't actually that bad, being woken.
- >It probably had to do with her waking up to see you. She smiled warmly.
- >"Good morning Anonymous."
- >Before you could respond she shifted slightly, planting a light kiss on your cheek.
- >You can't even begin to describe how rustled you were.
- >She returns to her position, and slowly gets up off of you. She smiles brightly the entire time
- >She stands. You follow her example, standing up on the other side.
- >You didn't really want to discuss that kiss of hers, and instead ask,
- "So, what do we do now?"
- >"My Queen, Anonymous, we should return to the Hive to plan our next moves. While your illusion will keep them out of our tunnels for now, they will find a way in eventually..."
- >Chrysalis sighed, "Mhm. That's true." She looked towards the other Changeling, who had fallen asleep at the door.
- "Some more staff might be a good idea."
- >The others nodded. "Yes... Ditto, once we arrive, send out some security here. The last thing we want is Shining Armor breaking down our front door."
- >Ditto saluted, "Yes, my Queen."
- >Chrysalis turned to you, "I suppose we should go then..."
- "Going to this 'Hive Cluster', then?"
- >You weren't sure you liked the prospect of going to some far off Hive
- >But you didn't really have a choice anymore
- >The three of you headed down the other tunnel, towards the Hive
- >You weren't sure what to expect, really
- "So Chrysalis uh, what is this Hive like?"
- >Chrysalis glances back at you, "We aren't heading to the primary Hive Cluster, if that's what you're asking."
- >You shake your head. You weren't asking that.
- "I meant like, what exactly it was like. Is everything so..."
- >You pause, looking for words.
- "...Dark?"
- >You could of swore you saw Chrysalis hide a blush
- >"The bigger Hives are better lit. These aren't exactly high usage tunnels."
- >You nod, and continue onward.
- >As you continued onward the tunnels branched off, and eventually you were in a much bigger tunnel.
- >It had been maybe a two hour trek before you ran into other Changelings. A miner carriage.
- >They were quite shocked at the Queen's presence.
- >You noticed they treated her a good deal like how ponies treated Celestia...
- >Before you knew it, you were on the carriage, en route to the so called Epsilon Hive
- >You arrived into it. You were quite surprised at what you saw
- >It was like a gigantic cave, deep underground
- >Into the sides of the hive were various caves and tunnels, adorned with stone doorways.
- >At the ceiling was a large green gemstone, which shined dimly, brightening the entire cave.
- >You noticed the large cave went off further, beyond your sight
- >Looking down from to the lower levels, you spotted dozens of Changelings doing various tasks. You even spotted a section that seemed to be a market.
- >Your carriage stopped at a large carved complex. It had glass windows, so you knew it was probably serious.
- >Something just told you glass wasn't common here in the caves.
- >You got out, Chrysalis leading the way inside.
- >Inside was a black and green carpet, and a staircase heading up. You followed Chrysalis upstairs, but Ditto didn't continue.
- >You turn back to him
- "Ditto? You coming?"
- >He shook his head. "I am not permitted to enter the Queen's chambers. You are a lucky... Human, Anonymous."
- >The Queen's chambers. You didn't like the sound of that...
- >You followed up into the room. There was a /much/ larger bed within, a dresser, and a balcony.
- >Chrysalis sat on the bed, in thought. You approached
- "Nice place?"
- >You sat down beside her on the bed. She smiled at you,
- >"It's alright. I have a residence in all of our Hives. For when I visit."
- >You nod. Celestia probably had some in larger cities too, you reasoned.
- "So, now that we're in this fantastic Hive city of yours, what happens now?"
- >She sighs, leaning onto you.
- >"What would you like to do, Anon?"
- >You think. What did you really want?
- >Well, for one, you'd like to not get raped. That was at least dealt with while you were here.
- >But you'd prefer that not disconnecting you from all your friends. Rainbro especially. You wondered what she was thinking right now.
- >However, whatever happened, you knew Rainbro wouldn't turn her back on you
- >She was the Element of Loyalty for a reason
- >You sigh
- "Well, I think we need to diffuse the situation in Equestria, honestly."
- >Chrysalis closes her eyes, but says nothing.
- "Clearly we've gone about this the wrong way."
- >You turn to her. Your face lacks emotion. You needed this to get through.
- "The Changelings need emotions to survive. Equestria has an emotional surplus. Fighting against them is just going to make everything worse for everyp0ny."
- >Chrysalis just nods at you.
- "So I think we should attempt to make amends. You know, bury the hatchet?"
- >You smile, and Chrysalis withdraws, sitting up straight
- >"I don't know about this Anonymous. I've already more or less made myself an enemy of them, and by proxy all of the Changelings have as well."
- >She gestures towards the balcony, "If this were to go sour, how would my kind carry on? They'd need a leader."
- >SHe frowns, fearful. You place a hand on her shoulder once more
- "Chrysalis, trust me. As long as I'm here, nothing will happen to you."
- >She smiles at you, her fangs shining in the room's light.
- >"Thank you, Anon." Her smile turns to a seductive grin, "So, what do we do now?"
- >Oh shit, is she trying to rustle your jimmies?
- >You back up slightly, attempting to raise your hands in defense
- >She places her hooves on top of them, pushing them down, getting closer to you
- >She smiles, and pushes herself on top of you
- "Ch-Chrysalis, wait a second!"
- >She stops her advance, "Mm? Oh, I suppose you'd like to get undressed first?" She winks at you
- >"Would you like some help with that?" You shake your head vigorously,
- "No no no! That's not what I meant!"
- >She raises an eyebrow at this, "Oh? What's wrong." You sigh, as she gets off of you.
- "Look, Chrysalis... You're nice and everything but I'm not sure I'm interested that way."
- >She seems only slightly offended, which was better than furious.
- >She frowns, and looks away, "Oh."
- >You try to smile for her, "Look, Chrys... You are a nice p0n, er, Changeling. While you've made a few rash decisions and let revenge lead to you a bit too much, you aren't a bad person."
- >She looks back, watching intently.
- "After all, you're helping me fix this mess. If you were evil, would you do that?"
- >She shakes her head, "No... But it's not even your mess, Anon. This is my fault."
- >You give her a warm smile, and stand. You offer a hand to her. She takes it.
- "Well, lets fix it together."
- >In Ponyville, Shining Armor was not a happy p0ny
- >Anonymous and his Changeling aids had successfully obliterated the Ponyville clock tower, as well as the Changeling Jammer that was going inside it. Both were fairly expensive constructs.
- >No points for guessing who's pay the repairs came out of.
- >But worse than that, Anonymous had escaped, the Changelings Ditto and Chrysalis in tow. And there was no sign of them at all.
- >Shining Armor sighed, and shifted in his seat. Since he had taken up the defense of Ponyville, he was given the spare office in Town Hall as a... well office.
- >A knock broke the silence within the room, and shining adjusted his helmet before magically opening the doorway.
- >In walked the royal sisters, in the flesh. Luna wore a pained and fearful expression, though it was slightly dulled from her fatigue. She wasn't usually up at 2 in the afternoon.
- >Celestia wore her royal pokerface. She nodded at Shining Armor, and took a seat across from him.
- >Shining opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by Luna, "Is it true, Shining Armor? Pray tell, has our Anon fallen into the Changeling's web?"
- >He was unable to meet her piercing gaze, and simply nodded.
- >"It's the only explanation for his behavior. The Changeling's are controlling him, likely to get at either of you. We have no idea how long this has been going on."
- >Celestia nodded, and Shining continued, "It is possible that this was their backup plan all along. However it appears we've put an end to it."
- >"Perhaps, Shining Armor. But we cannot be certain there will not be further incursions. We need to track them down, and defeat them."
- >"And save noble Anonymous! Who knows what horrible things their Queen has put him through already!"
- >Shining nodded, "Yes. I've had my colts go through his house a number of times, but there's thus far been nothing of note."
- >Celestia frowned, "Hm. Perhaps we will take a look." She turned to her sister, who nodded.
- >"Yes. We know not what powers this Queen possesses. Her illusions are likely stronger than her lesser ilk."
- >Shining Armor nods. "As you wish, Princess Luna."
