Bang. Explosion frightened them a bit.

"I can't even express, how happy for you I'm right now."

"What was that?"

Nereek grinned.

"Just a way to indicate your success. Congratulations, Luna, Celestia, you can rightfully be called mages from now on. I can show you many tricks, but I won't, I don't want to defile your individual perseption. Anyway, congratulations. Lets celebrate."

"J-just like this, I can't feel anything, and you, Luna?"

"No, nothing."

"You actually can feel everything with your magic and interact with it in every possible way. I've taught you, all other things you must learn with your own study, experience and hardships."

"Uhm, it's kinda nice."

"Don't be dissapointed, just apply everything you've learn everywhere you can. Come on, lets celebrate, we have a guest today, so lets not make her wait for too long without need."

Two alicorns looked at each other with a spark of surprise in their eyes - since their arrival to this world they've never met any other people than Nereek and Rikka.

"And after the celebration we'll think closer about your problem. I hope you didn't forget about Equestria?"

"No, Nereek, we don't. "

"Ok, now try to catch me."

With a laugh he bursted into race. But he was losing just the second after. Two, now grown mares, used their wings to catch with him.

"Are you really sure you want to compete with us?"

Both of them laughed happily, as they flew aside of Nereek.

"Sure, but I think you're too slow to really make this challenging."

Swiftly he threw his arm towards the tree near the house. Ponies looked surprised for a moment, but then shouted at him.

"Not fair!"

"Who said I'll be running just with my legs? You have wings and i don't, is it fair? No. But we all have magic power. Try to think of some energy manipulation, which allows you to travel in such way."

"We'll do it."

"I'm sure you will, you are too curious to screw it. Now go and wash yourself. We'll be waiting for you inside."

"By the way, you've already said we have to wash ourselves, but we've never seen you doing so."

"Another convenient use of magic. Now go, we are waiting."

He closed the door and headed to the kitchen. He was right - Meriss had already been here. Demoness heard him and turned to him.

"Nereek, it's been too long. And I'm amazed that you gave up on your decision to never use magic."

"I couldn't help it. I felt the same as it was with you and Jeyna. Except these two didn't try to attack me at first."

She giggled.

"Good old times... I wish Jeyna was alive."

"Me too, Meriss, me too."

"Well, I don't think you called me just to say how you're really missing everyone. I'm kind of busy, you know."

"Oh, I almost forgot, Your Majesty, High Commander Meriss."

"Oh, come on, I don't meant it. But High Commander missing somewhere, most probably huge eruptions of energy coming off, heavy outcomes of these eruptions and scent of person considered dead right before Banishment. You know you have me anytime you need, but the less risk included, the better."

"I think you're right, but it won't be so bad."

"You know, you've had pretty deviated thoughts of what can be refered to as bad even back at war. Just don't tell me there are going to be some victims."

"Mhm, it's Rikka's birthday tomorrow. And I want your opinion and possibilities as High Commander. "

"Oh, sorry. Of course I remember about her. You giving me hard time every year, forbidding me to present her weapons and armor."

"She has the right to live peacefully, without everything this world can bring upon her."

"Yeah, you're saying this everytime we met. This necklace was made specially for me, but I've already have one. I've decided it will be good enough for her to have official protection."

"I'm glad you've managed to find something peaceful again, Meriss, thank you. Now, as we've set this question, lets talk about another one."

Nereek called his powers back. At first Meriss didn't seem to notice, but a moment later her eyes widened.
