Growth

A few days later everything was back to it's normal. None of them mentioned this case and when Nereek was going to cook some meat he made ponies to work as hard as it was possible, so they won't pay any attention to his and Rikka's meals. As more time had passed, Celesrtia and Luna completely calmed down and returned to their normal cheerful behaviour. But even with their grim attitude these alicorns were hardworking to the extreme when it was coming down to their lessons. Strange enough, but as they've learned and practiced more they've grown bigger. With such physical growth they'd soon need separate rooms - Rikka's bed was to small for such creatures.

"Keep trying. You've said you'd already felt it. Now change it. Bend my stream."

"It's very hard, Nereek. Bending this stream is like bending a rock."

"But you've already done it, Luna. You did. As for my power stream - it's very weak and unstable. So stop slacking off and keep working."

"You're too harsh."

"And you are slacking, Celestia. I've told you, this exercise requires only raw power and understanding, skill is very important too, but not at this stage."

"Raw power. You're always saying we have more, but it's not true, we now feel your aura, but we can't interact with it in any way."

"Of course you two can't. I'm suppresing you. Actually I think you will be able to suppress any other mage in this world, except the champions. But I'm won't be satisfied with just that. I'm going to raise your skills to the top of it's potential, no matter how hard it'll be for you."

"Yeah-yeah, you've told us before."

"Right, so go back to work."

Woah. Nereek felt this thrust and fire rushed down to his hands. With a slight effort he pushed it back and laughed.

"Seems like Rikka taught you something too."

With fast strings of energy he pushed them a little back and appeared right before them.

"Distracting me with a talk and breaking my power is significant step, little ones."

Nereek whispered these words as he thought about what should he do next.

"Now we are done. But next time you'll better be prepared. I won't stand idly anymore, I'll be breaking you powers until nothing left, and when you will be rested enough, I'll be doing the same. Once you'll be able to resist me, you will become mages. At least real ones will acknowledge you, even if you are so unexpierenced."

"Yay!"

"Luna, we did it."

Nereek laughed in his mind so confident they were. Well, at least he managed to study them to this extend without any violent stuff included. It was more of achievement for him than it was for Celestia and Luna.

"Lets go, it's time to go home."

Together, they've left, eager to return at the next morning.
