- ((You are Anon))
- “What do you mean another one? There are more?”
- >“It’s all over the news! There was a burned down house just on the west end, and when the wreckage was searched, they found a little pony! Just like, well, yours!
- >The room felt like it was closing in on you
- “Jackie… Zip…”
- >Jackie shrunk to the size of your palm
- >You stuff her in your pocket and run to your car as fast as you can
- >The entire ride home felt like one big panic
- >You were constantly looking in your mirror to check if anyone was following you.
- >You run inside your apartment and instantly open your laptop
- >You don’t ever watch or read the news so you are never really in the swing of things.
- >You search up what you had heard about just a few minutes ago.
- >Sure enough it was everywhere
- >And it happened in your area
- >How did you net hear about this?
- >Then you see a picture of the poor thing, sealed away in a glass cage
- >A cute little blue pony
- >After about three minutes of looking at news stories, you see a new story pop up
- >There was already a news story for Jackie
- >Someone had even posted a video to YouTube
- “What do we do now…”
- >“Well, Anon, I kind of want to meet this other pony.”
- >You look at Jackie with a firm but sympathetic expression on your face
- “No.”
- >“W-what do you mean no?”
- >She sounded like she was going to cry
- “Jackie, you see that?”
- >You point at the screen
- “That... that is the last thing I want to happen to you.”
- >“But Anoooonn! People have already seen me! They have already seen you!”
- “Yes I know! But-”
- >You honestly don’t have anything to say
- >You couldn’t have hid her forever
- >“Anon? Anon are you okay?” She says, concerned
- “I don’t know what to do.”
- >She jumps on your lap and stands on her hind legs
- >“Come on Anon! It’s worth a shot, just take me out there like a pet!”
- “No…”
- >She leans in to give you a kiss
- “Screw off!”
- >You push her off of your lap
- >She lands on the floor
- >“A-Anon?” She whimpered
- “I’m going to bed, goodnight Jackie.”
- >You slam your door, leaving her in the living room.
- ((You are Jackie))
- >You crawl onto the couch, curl up, and start to cry
- >You notice the strange wetness forming in your eyes
- “Oh that’s right…”
- >You grab an archive
- >After a few minutes of sobbing on the couch, you grab Anon’s laptop and start surfing the internet
- >You then realize something
- >You are a computer that can pretty much do anything if given the right software
- >You research operating systems
- >Linux
- >Linux Linux Linux
- >But apparently one does not simply choose ‘Linux’
- >You research many distros
- >Enterprise Support! Just what you needed
- >You download CentOS and install it onto yourself
- “Perfect.”
- >You purge yourself of your sadness
- >Instead you now hold a sense of determination
- >The ‘Get out of my fucking way’ kind of determination
- >You connect to Anon’s wifi
- “You aren’t keeping anything from me.” You whisper
- >You begin to dig through all of Anon’s news history
- >You trace back every single image that had been uploaded
- >You start to try and hack your way into the news server
- >You must have been at it for hours
- >Anon came out of his room and walked to the bathroom
- >He stopped, turned around, and stared directly at you amongst your hundreds of windows projected around the room
- >“What are you doing?...” He says blearily
- “Entertaining myself.”
- >Anon walks over to you
- >You promptly stop projecting and sort of cower
- >To your surprise, he picks you up and carries you back into his room
- >“I can’t stay mad at you… I’m sorry Jackie… I just, this is too much for m-”
- >You silence him with a kiss
- “I’m fine Anon, I have something for us to do in the morning.”
- >You finished downloading the location of the photos taken of that… other pony
- >You curl up on Anon’s bed, and drift off to sleep, anxious for sunrise...
