- >You awake to light pouring through the blinds of your window.
- >As you open your eyes, you roll over on your bed and put your arm around your little furry buddy.
- >Your bat pony to be exact.
- "Hey, wake up sleepy head."
- >Groaning, the bat pony rolls over.
- >"Give me five more minutes."
- >You tousle her hair as you climb out of bed and head over to your bathroom to shower.
- >After finishing, you put on some fresh clothes and walk back into the bedroom to be greeted by a bat pony spread out over your bed.
- "Come on, get up. We got stuff to do today."
- >Picking her head up off of the pillows, she looks up at you with her blue eyes.
- >"Can I have five more minutes?"
- "You said five more minutes..."
- >You look over to the clock to see it's 8:21.
- "fifteen minutes ago, now get up."
- >With a groan, the bat pony drops her back onto the bed.
- >Heading downstairs, you turn into your kitchen to make your breakfast.
- >You start cooking bacon as you hear footsteps coming down the stairs.
- >Entering the room, the bat pony lifts herself onto a seat at the table as you walk over with a plate full of bacon.
- >As a grin spreads across the her face, you walk over to the fridge to get some milk.
- >Turning around, you see your bat pony stuffing her face with bacon, getting grease all over her coat.
- >You sigh, as you pour two glasses of milk and set them down on the table.
- "You really need to learn to eat without getting stuff all over your coat.
- >The bat pony picks up her glass of milk and drinks it as she giggles getting more milk on her fur.
- >At least it didn't show up of her white coat, unlike the grease.
- >After finishing breakfast, you head over to some hangers on the wall where your coat sits.
- >"Why isn't don't you just have a coat like mine, then you'd never get cold."
- >Turning around, you look down to see your little pony.
- >With a smile, you tousle her mane.
- "Because I'm a human of course!"
- >Looking over at your clock on the wall, you see you're late for work.
- "I have to go now. You know how to make your own food, right?"
- >"We go over this everyday. Yes, I do!"
- >With a chuckle, you walk out the door and make your daily commute to work.
- >Pulling into the parking lot, you get out of your car and walk into the office building.
- >As you walk up the door, you say hello to some familiar faces.
- >Finally reaching your desk, you sit down and begin working on your computer.
- >You did some serious stuff here, but it doesn't help that your mind always wandered back to your bat pony.
- >"Anon, could I see you in my office?"
- >Snapping out of your thoughts, you look around till you see your boss standing next to you.
- "Oh, um, yes sir!"
- >"Good, come in as soon as you can."
- >You continue your work for about five more minutes until you leave your desk and head over to your boss' office.
- >Opening the door, you look inside.
- "You wanted to see me sir?"
- >"Why yes, Mr. Anonymous. Take a seat."
- >Doing as he told you, you sit in a chair across from his desk.
- >"Anon, as you know, our company has been having some rough times recently."
- >Why would he want to talk to you about this?
- "Yes sir, I do. What about it?"
- >"Well, in this rough time, I'm afraid we have been having to lay off some people."
- >Was he saying what you thought he was?
- "A-are you firing me, sir?"
- >Running his fingers through his hair, your boss sighs.
- >"It's just you haven't been that focused lately and have been distracted a lot. It's costing us more money to have you than it makes us. Best clean out your desk and take your things home, we'll send you your paycheck in the mail."
- >You don't say a single word as you stand up.
- >Nor when you clean out your desk, or walk out of the building.
- >You remain silent the entire time as your mind rages about how you just lost the job you had went through four years of college to get.
- >You actually enjoyed your job.
- >That's something lots of poeple can't say.
- >Seeing a bright light, you swerve out of the way of another car.
- >That's enough thinking. Just focus on driving, unless you want to get yourself killed.
- >Arriving at your house, you pause for a second as the garage door closes behind you.
- >You didn't have to remove that key.
- >What were you thinking!?
- >You have a little bat pony waiting for you!
- >Turning off the engine, you step out of your car and into your house.
- >You wear a fake smile as you greet your little bat pony.
- >She gets so excited every time you get home.
- >Hugging her, you run your fingers through her mane.
- "We best make something to eat."
- >As the little bat pony rubs her belly, she looks up at you and smiles.
- >"Yeah, I'm starving!"
- >You begin cooking simple spaghetti as you think about what happened today.
- >You'd have to tell your bat pony.
- >Serving up the spaghetti, you and your bat pony both eat in silence as she shoves her face full of noodles.
- >After you both finish eating, you take both of your plates and put them in your dishwasher.
- >You might as well get this over with and tell her.
- >Sitting on the couch, you motion for her to sit next to you?
- >She takes note to the sad look on your face.
- >"What's wrong Anon?"
- >Feeling a lump in your throat, you look your bat pony in her bright blue eyes and run your fingers through her soft mane.
- "Today, I was laid off from my job."
- >"That's terrible! Um... What does laid off mean?"
- >Chuckling to yourself, you can feel tears starting to form in your eyes.
- "It means I was fired, and won't be making any money until I get a new job."
- >A worried face spreads over you bat ponies face as she realizes what's happened.
- >"Oh, Anon! That's terrible!"
- "Don't worry, I can find a new job. At least I hope I can."
- >Feeling something wrap around you, you look down to see your bat pony hugging you.
- >"It's okay. I'm here for you."
- >You can feel tears starting to fall from your eyes as you hold your little bat pony.
- "I love you so much. I just...
- >Choking on your own words, you feel tears pouring out of your eyes as you hold you little bat pony.
- "I just wish your were real."
