  1. >You trudge down the hallways with your head hung low.
  2. >Your hair covers your eyes as you pass many other fillies and colts as you head to the last place you'd ever want to be.
  3. >Detention.
  4. >You weren't the kind of pony that went there.
  5. >They went there evil, and came back even worse than before.
  6. >Passing many doorways, you pass by lots of fillies you know.
  7. >As you walk down the wallways, you can see them whispering to each other about you.
  8. >Well, you assumed it was about you.
  9. >But it most likely was, since you dumped that large bucket of swamp water of Echo.
  10. >Shuffling down the hallways, you see the room that is the bane to your very existance.
  11. >Mr. Battington's room.
  12. >He was the meanest teacher in the whole school.
  13. >Now you had to spend an hour with him and Alukardian in detention.
  14. >The very thought of it made you shudder.
  15. >You approach the door slowly.
  16. >Doesn't seem like anyp0ny was around.
  17. >The door loomed over you.
  18. >How could an ordinary door seem so big?
  19. >You put your hoof on it and push, slowly swinging it open
  20. >Sitting at a large desk at the front of the room was an old bat pony with grey hair, a dark coat, a mustache, and blue eyes.
  21. >He looks at you like you're the scum of Equestria, but turns back to three boys sitting at desks.
  22. >You pay no attention to them as you take a seat.
  23. >This was either going to get you killed or bore you to death.
  24. >Either way you'd be dead in the end.
  25. >They would say "Aux is kill."
  26. >Heh.
  27. >You look towards Alukardian and his friends to see them staring back at you with devilish grins.
  28. >You look back towards Mr. Battington as you hear him stand up.
  29. >He moves slowly, and walks in front of his desk.
  30. >His voice is hoarse, like he's never drank water in his life.
  31. >"Let's take roll call to ensure everyone is here."
  32. >He goes through Alukardian and all of his friends name, where he pauses on yours.
  33. >"Aux Tism?"
  34. >Mr. Battington raises his head to face you.
  35. >"What are you doing in here Aux?"
  36. >You glance over at Alukardian and his friends, knowing if you tell the truth, they'd pound you to a pulp.
  37. "I-if it's all the same to you sir, I'd rather not say."
  38. >Setting down his clip board on the table, you walks around his desk and sits back down.
  39. >"That's fine with me, just don't cause any trouble."
  40. >It's not you he should worry about.
  41. >You glance over to the Alukardian and his friend who are messing around with a paper football.
  42. >You shouldn't even be in here with them.
  43. >The moonlight pours in through the blinds of the window, as you look towards them.
  44. >That was one of the things that always bothered you.
  45. >Not the moon, but the concept of you all going to school and staying up during the night, and sleeping during the day.
  46. >Other ponies didn't do it.
  47. >Heck, you'd never even met a pony that wasn't a bat pony.
  48. >Hearing a chair move against the floor, you look up from your thoughts to see Mr. Battington standing up from his desk again.
  49. >"I'm afraid I need to step out for a moment boys. I hope I can trust you all to not get into trouble while I'm gone?"
  50. >Alukardian glances up at the teacher, to you, then back to his friends, an evil grin spreading across his lips.
  51. >"You can trust us Mr. B."
  52. >"Very well, I'll be back as soon as I can."
  53. >With that, he was out the door, leaving you alone with the three evil teens.
  54. >Maybe if you ignored them, they'd do the same.
  55. >You thoughts however are proved wrong when you feel a hoof on your back.
  56. >"Hey little buddy!"
  57. >You look up to see them all leaning over your desk, staring straight at you with red piercing eyes.
  58. >"Why's a little goody-two-shoes like you doing in here?"
  59. >Turning away, you hop out of your desk.
  60. "N-none of your business."
  61. >You slowly ease your way around the room.
  62. >They match each step you take with their own, slowly advancing towards you.
  63. >"Nop0ny talks to me like that you little punk."
  64. >Alukardian tries to grab you, but you leap back, out of his reach
  65. >But instead of finding yourself out of harm's way, you instead are cornered against the wall near the windows.
  66. >"We're gonna make you eat those words."
  67. >Looking them over, there's no way to can fight them.
  68. >You couldn't even fight a filly your age, but that's besides the point.
  69. >There's only one thing you can do.
  70. >Falling onto your knees, you look up and begin begging.
  71. "Please don't hurt me Alukardian! I'll do anything!"
  72. >Pausing for a minute, he looks back at his two friends, that same malicious smile spreading across his face.
  73. >He lowers his head to your level, peering into your very essence.
  74. >"Anything?"
  75. >You swallow and look up at him.
  76. >This was not going to end well.
  77. >You open your mouth to speak, but feel something grab your foreleg.
  78. >Alukardian and you look up the same time, only to be met by a pair of amber eyes staring at you.
  79. >"Hey!"
  80. >The red-eyed menace reaches for you, but you feel yourself lifted up by the hoof grabbing your leg, pulling you back out of the window.
  81. >You fall flat in the dirt to see a small filly shutting the window above you.
  82. >Dropping down next to your, she looks into your eyes.
  83. >After a moment of looking at each other, a smile appears on her face as she jumps back and helps you off the ground.
  84. >"Hey there!"
  85. >You dust yourself off and look back up at her.
  86. "H-hey..."
  87. >Taking a closer look at her, you can see what she looks like in the clear moonlight.
  88. >She had amber colored eyes, purple hair with a slight curl to it, her coat was a light grey, and she already had her cutie mark, witch appeared to be purple sparkles with music notes over them.
  89. "Why did you help me?"
  90. >Her smile doesn't faulter for one second as she points back up to the window above.
  91. >"My daddy is a teacher and that's his room. I stay after school with him until he leaves for the day, and I was wandering around when I saw you in there. You looked to be in real trouble, so I thought I'd help you!"
  92. >Wait...
  93. "You're Mr. Battington's daughter!?"
  94. >"Yep!
  95. >How could someone like him have a daughter like this.
  96. >"Oh, I almost forgot! My name's Amber, what's yours?"
  97. >Pausing for a second, you look at her.
  98. >Was she really being nice to you?
  99. >Nop0ny was ever nice to you.
  100. "M-my name is Aux Tism."
  101. >"That's a funny name!"
  102. "Yeah, most ponies think that way too..."
  103. >Her smile fades for a second, but returns just as quickly as it vanished.
  104. >"Well don't worry about them! I like it!"
  105. >Wow, she actually being nice to you.
  106. >Maybe she might like you?
  107. >"Come on, let's go to my house!"
  108. >You step back out of shock.
  109. "Your house?"
  110. >"Of course silly! Best friends always hang out each other's houses!"
  111. "But what about my detention?"
  112. >"Oh, don't worry about that! I'll have my daddy take care it!"
  113. >She motions you to follow her as she trots off towards her house.
  114. >A friend?
  115. >Better yet, a best friend?
  116. >That's right, things were turning around.
  117. >Everything is going to be just fine.
