It was some kind of vehicle, with upholstery reeking of cigar smoke. She sat up, feeling the lump on her head where she had hit the ground. Fortunately, fat acted as a shock absorber.   "Where am I?" she wondered aloud. The driver flicked his mirror down. It was a man smoking a cigar, with older styled glasses on.   "You're in the taxi, doll," he answered, "I've got instructions to bring you to over to Lake Erie."   "Lake Erie?" she responded, "That's on the other side of the state! I didn't even order a taxi, god bless you!"   "The phone call you placed seems to suggest so."   "I didn't make a call! That was Mr. Blast or that Count Dracula guy or Stalin or one of those other funny bunnies."   "Doesn't make a bit of difference to me," said the driver, taking a puff out of his cigar.   "Let me out, NOW!"   The doors locked. With a groan, Kay realized that she had no choice. She would have to wait until she was let out.   ****   The night wore on, and it was nearly sunrise by the time Kay arrived to the waterfront. There was a big truck trailer sitting on the ground, without a truck or a set of wheels beneath it. On the side was spraypainted "KGB".     "Oh boy... I think I know who this is..."   The taxi driver let her out just as a man wearing a fedora showed up. He resembled a private investigator of sorts, he even had a gray jacket. The clean face didn't twitch, nor did he make eye contact with Kay.   "Here's the check," he stated, handing money to the taxi driver. The yellow cab turned around and zoomed off after it had recieved its payment.   "Now, Miss Gallagher, if you will,"   Kay glared at the man, but realized she had no choice. She could try to run, be she was sure that he had some kind of gun or something concealed. She'd never make it.   They went around the back of the truckbed, entering through the storage compartment. Kay was astonished by what, and who, she saw inside.
