  1. >Wake up after a late night at the "Pre Flight-School Reunion Party" Pinkie threw for Rainbow
  2. >Spent all night avoiding Fluttershy and Applejack. Booze + alone with them = ...
  3. >You shudder at the thought
  4. >The night starts to blur right around the time you, Rainbow and Twilight finished the fourth bowl of punch
  5. >You didn't think Twilight had it in her to keep up with you and Dash in the liquor department
  6. >Speaking of booze, your head feels like it's in a vise grip.
  7. >You roll yourself out of bed and thank Celestia Pinkie thought to have the party *two* days before you and Dash go to Cloudsdale.
  8. >Now you can nurse this hang-over for a day
  9. >You go to the kitchen and scavenge whatever you can in your half-dead stupor
  10. >Once you've eaten and cleaned yourself up you decide to get some fresh air
  11. >Step outside to go to the park
  12. >blindedbythelight.mp3
  13. >You stumble your way to the park, dumb luck saving you from running into anything or anyp0ny
  14. >Get to the park and notice that it's not so bright now
  15. >Notice that you're standing in a shadow
  16. >Look up, see a single cloud above you
  17. Rainbow must have missed one
  18. >Prepare yourself to go blind again as you continue through the park
  19. >The light never comes. You look up again to see the cloud still right above you
  20. Wat
  21. >You step to the right and look at the cloud, only to see it follow you
  22. Am I still drunk?
  23. >You're a little freaked out until you spot a rainbow-colored mane poking out from behind the white cloud
  24. >Rainbro freakin' Dash
  25. 1/x
  26.
  27. >Rainbow leaps down from the cloud, hurtling towards the ground like a meteor before pulling up to hover in front of you
  28. >She obviously saw your sorry ass wandering around blindly and decided to give you a break
  29. >"Hey, Anon, are you still out of it from last night? I thought you could handle your booze better than that."
  30. >No breaks to be given, she just wanted to mess with you...
  31. I drank as much as you did last night. How are *you not* hung-over?
  32. >"I'm just that awesome. You should know that about me by now. Plus, I've got a secret weapon. That punch never knew what hit it!"
  33. >You bet she spent all morning trying to cure her hang-over just so she could gloat
  34. >"Wanna know what it is?" She looks like she's dying to show you so you just nod like an idiot
  35. >She flies up to the cloud and returns with a bottle full of what looks like multicolored paint
  36. What the hell is that, Dash?
  37. >She throws you the bottle. The colors just swirl around but never mix together. You shake it but the colors remain separate
  38. >"It's rainbow. I've got a friend up in Cloudsdale who works in the factory. Just drink it, OK? Trust me, it works."
  39. >You eye the bottle suspiciously, but your bro would never pull anything on you, so you take a drink
  40. 2/x
  41.
  42. >At first it doesn't taste like anything, but after a few seconds you're on the ground and your mouth is on fucking fire.
  43. >You look up at your bro only to see her laughing her blue flank off
  44. >”HAHAHA, I should've warned you but I was dying to see how you'd react! You sure didn't disappoint!”
  45. >You're about to retort but you realize to your amazement that your headache is gone. Not only that, you can see without the light burning your eyes
  46. Wow, Dash, that actually worked really well. How did you figure out to drink that stuff, though?
  47. >She looks embarrassed at the question
  48. >”Uhh, don't we need to get you over to Twilight's place? We should see if she's figured out that cloud walking spell for you.”
  49. >Oh shit, you almost forgot about that. You've got the helicopter contraption Pinkie devised for you, but you still can't walk on clouds
  50. I'll race you there, Dash, pay you back for that race last week. No wings.
  51. >You know she can't pass up a challenge like that
  52. >”Oh, it's ON.”
  53. >You both run full-tilt to the library, forgetting about your question.
  54. >Your human legs carry you faster than Dash can manage. It's the one area of competition you can beat her in
  55. >You make it to the library with time to spare to lean against the door and look smug.
  56. >Rainbow arrives to see you imitating her victory pose
  57. >”You're really happy with yourself, aren't you, Anon?”
  58. Yeah, I kind of am
  59. >You can't help but grin with a feeling of triumph
  60. >She punches your arm playfully before you both go inside
  61. 3/x
  62.
  63. >Twilight is hard at work shelving books when you and Rainbow come into the library
  64. >”Hey Twilight, did you get Anon's cloud walking spell worked out? We're going to Cloudsdale tomorrow and I'd like for him to not fall through the floor.”
  65. >Twilight stops what she's doing and takes a book down from the shelves
  66. >”Right, sorry about that, Rainbow. After the party I guess I blacked out a little because when I woke up this morning my books were all reshelved in this weird order.”
  67. >She flips through the book, looking for the correct spell until she finally stops
  68. >”Here we are. Stand over there, Anon, and hold still. This spell works on ponies but I'm not sure if it works on humans.”
  69. >Her horn lights up and you're enveloped in a shimmering  violet cloud for a few seconds. It raises you a few feet in the air before fading and dropping you back to the ground
  70. So did it work?
  71. >You certainly don't feel any different.
  72. >”Only one way to find out!” Rainbow declares. She flits over to you, picks you up, and before you can react you're rising up into the air
  73. >You look down just in time to the Twilight standing on her balcony with a look of abject horror on her face.
  74. Rainbow, wait a minute-
  75. >She ignores you and hovers directly over a cloud, lowering you onto it
  76. >You fully expect to fall through it, but as your foot makes contact you feel resistance
  77. >You put some weight on the cloud before Rainbow lets go
  78. >It feels like walking on a waterbed covered in cotton
  79. 4/x
  80.
  81. >”What did you think I was going to do? Drop you?”
  82. Uh....
  83. >You feel a little bad for doubting your bro's interest in your safety
  84. >”Come on, you know I'd be able to save your sorry flank even if you DID fall through.”
  85. You're right, bro. I just got a little freaked out by you dragging me up here with no warning
  86. >”Yeah, sorry about that, I got kind of carried away.” She seems genuine so you let it go
  87. Hey, the view's great up here, Rainbow; no wonder you're always hanging out on clouds
  88. >”Yeah, if you like that, you'll love Cloudsdale. You can see from Ponyville to Canterlot from up there.”
  89. Well let's get back down so I can pack for tomorrow then.
  90. >Rainbow picks you back up and brings you down to earth again
  91. >Twilight rushes over and frantically asks if you're OK before lecturing Rainbow about safety and proper testing
  92. >You excuse yourself and go home to pack your things for a weekend in Cloudsdale with your bro
  93. >Rainbow flies overhead to her place. She looks really happy; probably because she gets to see her friends from flight school tomorrow night
  94. >You finish packing and getting your stuff together in time to make sure your heli is in working order
  95. >Wouldn't want it to break down mid-flight. Even with your temporary ability to walk on cloud you're not sure you'd survive falling into one from the air
  96. >Pinkie was good enough to give you a schematic of the machine so you could fix any issues that crop up
  97. >You're impressed with her engineering ability every time you see the thing
  98. >After you've checked for any problems, you load your bags onto it and call it a night.
  99. >You've got to actually get a good night's rest so you can fly with Rainbow to Cloudsdale instead of taking Twilight's balloon
  100. 5/x
  101.
  102. >The next day
  103. >Wake up and make sure all your shit is ready. Were you always this manic about leaving your house unattended?
  104. >You're coherent enough to make yourself  an actual breakfast this morning.
  105. >You do so with the energy of your excitement over getting to spend some bro-time without fear of getting bad-touched by ponies
  106. >Finish breakfast and decide to see if Rainbow is ready to make for Cloudsdale.
  107. >You get in your heli and take off. Your legs have gotten stronger since you started flying and you pedal yourself into the air effortlessly
  108. >From up here you can appreciate why Rainbow spends so much of her time in the air.
  109. >It's so open and clear on a day like today; you feel so free when you fly that sometimes it's hard to make yourself land.
  110. >You shake the thoughts from your head. Now's not the time for sappiness, Anon. We've got a pretty long flight ahead of us.
  111. >Arrive at Rainbow's house and walk up to the door. Still getting used to the way cloud moves under your feet. Like it's solid, but not.
  112. >Knock on the door
  113. >No answer. Is that water running?
  114. >Knock again. The water stops. Hear footsteps before the door opens
  115. >”Sheesh, what i-” Rainbow stops dead and turns a shade of red you've only seen on Fluttershy
  116. >Her mane is wet and covered in a big white towel
  117. ...Bad time?
  118. >She stammers something but you can't make it out.
  119. >The door slams, you hear hurried footsteps, a great whoosh of air, and the door opens again to reveal a now-dry Rainbow carrying her saddle bags
  120. >”A-alright, let's go.”
  121. >You're not sure why she's acting so weird, it's not like you saw anything you've never seen before
  122. >In fact, she was wearing MORE clothes than ponies usually do, which is to say, none
  123. >Whatever, you've been surprised like that too...damn Sluttershy. You brush it off and get in the heli.
  124. 6/x
  125.
  126. >The flight to Cloudsdale is uneventful. The two of you just crack jokes and tell stories about dumb shit you did when you were kids.
  127. >You see the City of the Pegasi appear past a cloud bank. You're almost at Rainbow's hometown
  128. >Thank Celestia for that, you've gotten stronger, but your legs are starting to burn from all this pedaling
  129. >As you land in Cloudsdale a large group of pegasi gathers to get a look at the human piloting the crazy machinery
  130. >You forgot that a lot of ponies here have never seen you, having never left Ponyville except to follow Rainbow into the Everfree Forest on adventures
  131. >Stepping onto the clouds, the crowd gasps as you make contact and walk around to the back of the craft
  132. >You grab your pack and set off down the road with Rainbow
  133. >The crowd follows you both for a while, asking questions and trying to get a good look at you before dispersing
  134. >”So what do you think, Anon? Is it everything I've told you it was? We've got time before the reunion party, let me show you around!”
  135. >Man she's excited. You would be too if you got to show off a place as awesome as this to your bro
  136. >”First stop, the weather center.” She gives you a hardhat and safety goggles as you enter a massive cloud building.
  137. >”This is where we make the snowflakes, among other things, that we use to make the weather in Equestria.”
  138. >You see an army of pegasi all working hard, chiseling single snowflakes out of little blocks of ice
  139. >As you pass through the snowflake factory the workers look up and see you, some of them dropping their tools in surprise
  140. >It's a little uncomfortable, like being in Ponyville those first few weeks. You don't let it show, of course, last thing you want is your bro to think you're feeling weirded out in her hometown
  141. 7/x
  142.
  143. >Rainbow's tour brings you out of the snowflake factory and into a brightly lit area full of nozzles and pools.
  144. >”And THIS is where we make the rainbows!”
  145. >She looks at you and winks as she trots over to a pegasus working a large vat of the multicolored fluid.
  146. >”Anon, this is Rainbowshine. She's my source for bottled rainbow.” The pegasus puts down her ladle and extends a hoof. You bump it with your fist. She really is a friend of Rainbro
  147. Nice meeting you, that stuff really works wonders
  148. >”Nice meeting you too, Anon, Rainbow's told me about you.” She pulls your head down to her ear
  149. >”You treat her right though, or you'll have to answer to me.”
  150. >O....k, not sure what she means by that, but the tension is broken by Rainbowshine
  151. >”Say Anon, has Rainbow Dash ever told you about how we found out about rainbow's curing hangovers?”
  152. >Dash looks at her friend, almost panicked.
  153. >”No? Well when we were in flight school together we used to party on weekends; our whole little crew.”
  154. >She stops Dash from interrupting with an outstretched hoof. You can see Dash's legs flailing trying to stop her
  155. >”So this ONE week we get particularly crazy, with our final flight tests for the year and all, and Dash here decides we need to go all out”
  156. >Dash's face is a priceless combination of horror and dread with a sprinkle of embarrassed blushing. Rainbowshine continues, unabated
  157. 8/x
  158.
  159. >”She convinces us to all sneak into the weather factory and we have our party there. It was the weekend so we knew we'd have enough time to clear out in the morning.”
  160. >This is going to be good, you just know. Dash's reaction only makes you want to know more.
  161. >”So we're in there, right? And Dash finds the key to the room where they make the cloud starter.”
  162. You mean water? Aren't clouds made of water?
  163. >You know this. You've GOT to know this. You learned what clouds were in like, kindergarten
  164. >”Uh, no. We make the cloud starter by distilling the lightning dew we collect under the city”
  165. Lightning dew?
  166. >”It's also how we make lightning primer, it's basically condensed sunlight that collects under the city.”
  167. >You still don't understand, but you let her continue and just nod your head
  168. >”So the freshly distilled cloud starter, it turns out, is like, ridiculously strong. We'd had the older stuff before but by the time it's getting pumped out into the air it's lost its kick”
  169. >Rainbow has given up fighting it and is sitting next to you, hoof in face the whole time. Priceless
  170. >”Basically, by morning, we'd all had way, WAY too much and could barely move we were so hung over.”
  171. >She starts to laugh, remembering the events
  172. >”And then Rainbow gets up and says she's gonna go wash up. I guess she was so out of it that she thought she was at home!”
  173. >You look over at your bro, who's starting to  enjoy hearing the story again
  174. >”She goes into the rainbow room and when she comes out she's covered in liquid rainbow, yelling about how hot the stuff is!”
  175. >She stops to laugh for a minute
  176. >”And so once we calm her down she realizes that her hangover is gone, and we all jump into the vats to get rid of our own.”
  177. >Rainbow laughs with Rainbowshine at the end and the two of you excuse yourselves to continue on your way
  178. 9/x
  179.
  180. >After Rainbow's tour you stop at the hotel where you're staying so you can drop off your things and get ready for the reunion dinner
  181. >Rarity made you a suit and tie just for the occasion. You put it on feeling like a boss.
  182. >You have to remember to thank her again once you get back
  183. >You've gotta say, everything is going really well so far. This must be what it's like to be free of horny-ass ponies stalking you
  184. >Rainbow insisted on changing in the bathroom, although you don't see why, since she's just putting clothes ON instead of actually changing them
  185. >She emerges wearing another of Rarity's designs.
  186. >It fits Rainbow's personality perfectly: bold lines and solid color, but with an underlying grace and subtlety.
  187. >”Well how's it look? Too much?” She turns to try and get a look at the back of the dress
  188. No, no, it looks great, bro. Thumbs, er- hooves up!
  189. >She blushes at the compliment
  190. >”Heh, you don't look too bad yourself, Anon.”
  191. Shall we go, then?
  192. >You open the door and follow Rainbow out onto the street. Daylight doesn't do the city justice; once the sun sets you see the real beauty of Cloudsdale
  193. >The light inside the buildings seeps out through the clouds slightly, giving the whole skyline a warm glow
  194. >You walk to the reunion dinner along the winding cloud-streets under the streetlights, talking about whatever comes to mind
  195. >It's relaxing. You feel at ease with your bro. This night's going to be great
  196. 10/x
  197.
  198. >The reunion is like all the high school reunions you'd seen on TV back in your world
  199. >You can't remember them directly, but the scene has a sense of familiarity to it
  200. >You and Dash walk in and mingle with the crowd
  201. >It's going well; Dash introduces you to the ponies she knew in flight school, they're all pretty cool with the bipedal monkey in a suit standing twice as tall as them.
  202. >You figured Dash would only hang out with the chill ponies
  203. >Dash suddenly looks across the crowd as if something was coming your way
  204. >You look in that direction and see a tuft of white feathers bobbing over the heads of the ponies
  205. >Dash looks apprehensive, maybe it's an old rival of hers?
  206. >You see now what the feathers were attached to: a griffon. It looks at you apathetically before turning to Rainbow.
  207. >”Hey, Dash. Long time, no see.”
  208. >Rainbow does not look pleased to see this one.
  209. >”What do you want, Gilda?”
  210. >Gilda? The gears turn in your head. You remember somep0ny telling you about a griffon named Gilda who used to be friends with Rainbow.
  211. >”Dash, I'm surprised. I just wanted to catch up, maybe meet your...” she looks sidelong at you
  212. >”Your friend here.” You don't like her tone. It betrays her. You decide to play along anyway and extend your hand
  213. Name's Anon. Pleasure to meet an old friend of Rainbow's.
  214. >The griffon looks at your hand and turns back to Rainbow.
  215. >”I see you're still hanging out with dweebs, Dash” the sarcastic emphasis on your bro's name wears on your patience
  216. 11/x
  217.
  218. >”Why don't you go get us some drinks, ok Anon?” Rainbow asks you almost pleadingly
  219. >You're reluctant to leave your bro with this griffon but you think it's time to get some drinks anyway, so you go.
  220. >At the bar you look back and see Rainbow and Gilda. You really don't like seeing your bro treated like that.
  221. >Turn around and see Rainbowshine standing next to you
  222. >”I see you've met Gilda.”
  223. You could say that. What's the deal with her and Rainbow?
  224. >”Oh, she never told you? Gilda and Rainbow were friends in flight-school. Pulled all sorts of crazy pranks together. The meaner ones were always Gilda's idea.”
  225. She seems like the type
  226. >”Yeah, from what I heard they had a pretty bad falling-out after Rainbow moved to Ponyville. Guess she couldn't handle getting pranked herself.”
  227. >You get the drinks and turn back to look at the griffon.
  228. >”So are you going to do something about it?” Rainbowshine's voice chimes from the side
  229. >”You gonna let Gilda talk to Rainbow like that?” You see your bro shrink back at some unknown comment from the griffon.
  230. Can you hold these, Rainbowshine? I gotta take care of something
  231. >”Send Gilda one from me, Anon. I never liked that griffon.”
  232. >You walk back over to the griffon and Rainbow
  233. Hey, Gilda, I think it's time you backed off and talked up somep0ny else
  234. >”Yeah? What if I say otherwise, freak?”
  235. >She turns to you with bravado becoming someone of her attitude
  236. >You stand firm and stare her down
  237. Keep running your mouth and find out.
  238. >She looks around. Everyp0ny around is looking at the two of you.
  239. >”Alright, I get the picture. Later, Dash.” She stalks off in a huff.
  240. >You look to the bar and see Rainbowshine raise a glass to you and nod.
  241. >”...Anon...” Rainbow's voice is uncharacteristically quiet
  242. 12/x
  243.
  244. >Hearing your bro's voice quiver snaps you out of your triumphant thoughts
  245. >You turn to see Rainbow looking down at the floor, her face red
  246. >Gilda must have said something especially harsh to get her like this
  247. >She shakes her head and her expression turns from vulnerable shock to indignation
  248. >There's the Rainbow Dash you know
  249. >”Why'd you have to butt in, Anon? I could've handled Gilda myself.”
  250. >You put a hand on her shoulder
  251. Consider it payback for all the times you've had MY back,  bro. It's about time I had yours.
  252. >”Well I didn't need help dealing with Gilda, but...thanks.”
  253. Don't mention it. Now lets go mingle. I want to meet my bro's old school friends.
  254. >You both walk through the crowd easily; anypony who sees you coming makes a path. Your confrontation with the griffon was by no means private
  255. >Rainbow eventually stops at a group of pegasi who are talking amongst themselves
  256. >You recognize Rainbowshine, who gestures at you to the others. They open up the circle to let you and Rainbow in.
  257. >A barrage of questions hits Rainbow from all sides
  258. >”So, you gonna introduce us to the big guy?” A male pegasus motions at you after the others have quieted down
  259. >”Oh, yeah, yeah, everypony, this is Anon. He's one of my friends in Ponyville.”
  260. >You notice her hesitation before 'friends' but ignore it. Now's not the time to get hung up on trivia
  261. >”Anon, these are my friends from flight school.” She goes across the circle introducing them
  262. >”This is Merry May, Parasol, Cloud Kicker, you've met Rainbowshine, Lightning Bolt, Green Gem, and Leeroy.”
  263. >The pegasi respond in turn and before long you're all sharing stories and laughing amongst yourselves.
  264. 13/x
  265.
  266. >You look over to see Rainbow laughing with her old friends. Good to see she's bounced back from that encounter with Gilda
  267. >”So, Anon,” one of the pegasi, Lightning Bolt, looks you up and down as she speaks
  268. >”I don't think I've ever seen somep0ny like you, are you from Equestria originally?”
  269. >It's funny, you've been here in Equestria for so long, but your memory of that first time setting foot here feels like yesterday
  270. >You preface the tale with the obvious revelation that you aren't from anywhere in Equestria. You're sure Lightning Bolt just said it out of politeness
  271. It was about two and a half years ago I arrived in Equestria from my world...
  272. >You remember back to what happened to you when you came over to Celestia's domain
  273. >You had been walking in a city; you can't remember where, life before Equestria is hard to get a clear picture of now
  274. >You just remember seeing, down some nondescript alley, a glow which you were irresistibly drawn to.
  275. >You got close enough to see what it was when you were caught in the grip of its collapse
  276. >As the object fell into itself, it took you along with it.
  277. >Unbeknownst to you at the time, the object was a result of  Discord's chaos magic bleeding into your world. His defeat caused its collapse
  278. ...So I open my eyes after this blinding explosion and find myself unscathed, in the middle of this little town, staring at...
  279. >You remember seeing six ponies floating down to earth in front of the most hideous statue you'd ever seen
  280. >The next thing you remember is being knocked to the ground by your future bro
  281. >”What's this? Another one of Discord's tricks?” She holds you down and stares at your suspiciously
  282. >”Calm down, Rainbow Dash, we shouldn't jump to conclusions”
  283. And that's how I first met Rainbow here
  284. >The pegasi are at rapt attention as you continue your tale
  285. 14/x
  286.
  287. >Looking back, you can understand why the ponies were so suspicious of you.
  288. >Not only were you like nothing they'd seen before, you appeared in their world as a direct result of Discord's magic
  289. >That tends to arouse suspicion.
  290. >At the time, however, your ignorance of this didn't help your case
  291. >You were brought to Canterlot for evaluation by Celestia herself
  292. >Being used to neither talking ponies, nor addressing royalty, you came off rather abrasively
  293. >The Princess, being of such patience as she was, waited for you to calm yourself before beginning her evaluation
  294. So the Princess lowers her horn and I'm thinking “Damn, she's not going to take any chances that I'm with this Discord character!” and brace for what I think is gonna be the end of me
  295. >You laugh at this, recalling the events.
  296. >A brilliant white light surrounded you completely, lifting you off your feet. You could hear the Princess talking to herself over the hum of the magical aura
  297. >The light eventually subsided and you saw Celestia converse with a smaller, yet no less regal-looking pony
  298. >They turned to you and declared that you were no threat and that you were unrelated to whatever magic Discord had used to bring you there.
  299. ...And so it turned out that I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when Discord's magic was dispelled.
  300. >You look around to see that a large crowd of ponies has gathered to listen.
  301. >”And then?” Rainbowshine prods you to continue eagerly. “What happened next?”
  302. 15/x
  303.
  304. >You remember the first time Princess Luna spoke to you.
  305. >Her voice echoed through the hall like thunder, but you could see a certain quality of softness behind the imposing vocal display
  306. >”We have decided that thy presence in our kingdom is not to be looked upon with suspicion.”
  307. >You could feel the words reverberate in your chest. They literally shook the walls of the palace
  308. >”What is thy name, traveler?”
  309. >'Anon' you remember replying
  310. >”Anon? Prithee, why dost thou delay? Thy name, please, now.”
  311. >'Anon' you repeated, confused
  312. >”Anon, Sister, he does mock Us. We shall not play thy games, traveler. Your name!”
  313. >'A-anon!'
  314. >You could see the Princess of the Night growing frustrated
  315. >Celestia rolled her eyes, you remember, and turned to her sister, saying something to her that you could not hear
  316. >The midnight blue Princess's face perked up with the realization of her mistake
  317. >”Our apologies, Anon. Your words did confuse Us.”
  318. ...Get it? Because she talks with really a really old vocabulary, she got confused, because my name means...
  319. >You see that you're the only one laughing.
  320. >The group of pegasi just looks at you blankly as you continue on to after your exchange with Luna
  321. Ahem...Right, so after the name issue was sorted out thanks to Celestia...
  322. >Your memories take you back to the grand hall
  323. 16/x
  324.
  325. >Celestia, in her benevolence, allowed you to stay in Equestria
  326. >Her announcement was met with mixed reactions
  327. >Apparently it takes more than royal approval to make up for appearing in a flash of chaos magic just after a great force of upheaval has been sealed
  328. >The Royal Sisters ordered a chariot to bring you back to Ponyville, where you would stay on a provisional basis
  329. >You were dropped off at Twilight Sparkle's library where the two of you discussed the matter of your appearance in Ponyville
  330. >She was initially skeptical, but the chariot and royal writ of passage allowed her to get over her suspicions and accept you as part of the community
  331. >You were discussing the matter of where you'd stay for the time being when Pinkie Pie appeared in the window and mentioned the spare room at the Cakes'
  332. >You left the library with Pinkie, got the room with some enthusiastic testimony from Pinkie...
  333. ...and the rest is history. And that's how I came to Equestria and started living in Ponyville
  334. >Your audience is silent for a few seconds before Leeroy speaks up
  335. >”That. Was. Awesome! You know, Anon, you're OK.” He puts out a hoof, which you bump with your fist
  336. >The rest of the night is marked by much drinking and reverie.
  337. >Despite the rough start, you think you managed to make the night pretty great with your bro
  338. >By the end, you, Rainbow, and her friends are the life of the party.
  339. >Your group leaves the reunion as it wraps up and, after Leeroy, Green Gem, and Parasol say their goodbyes, the remaining ponies decide to take you to see the Cloudsdale nightlife
  340. >The night is young
  341. 17/x
  342.
  343. >You walk down Cloudsdale's downtown, looking around at the buildings. You still can't get over how beautiful the city looks at night.
  344. >The pegasi are arguing with each other over where to take you.
  345. >They slowly come to the realization that it's way later than any of you thought, and everything is closed.
  346. >The other ponies decide to call it a night one by one until it's just you, your bro, and Rainbowshine
  347. >”I think I'm gonna call it, too, Dash. I'll catch you tomorrow, ok?” She leaves the two of you alone in the glow of the streetlights
  348. >Rainbow looks disappointed that the festivities are over as you walk back to the hotel, but you both know that it's late and there's plenty to do tomorrow
  349. >You get to the hotel a few minutes later, having walked in relative silence the way there
  350. >”Hey, Anon?” Rainbow looks up at you as you get to the door
  351. What is it, Dash?
  352. >She looks down again before looking back up and responding
  353. >”Er- it's nothing, I just- thanks. I had fun tonight. I was actually a little nervous about coming here alone, but having you here made it a blast!”
  354. Hey, I had fun too, bro. We'll have to make the most of tomorrow too before we go back to Ponyville.
  355. >You put out your fist and your bro smirks as she meets it with her hoof
  356. >What a bro
  357. >You go to your room, next door to Rainbow's and lie on the bed
  358. >Tomorrow's gonna rock
  359. End
