Half a Year Already? (newspost)

Has it really been six months (give or take a couple days) since I started doing this? Time flies...

 

With the 6-month mark for myself a few days away and thread #400 looming on the horizon I felt it appropriate, given the occasion, to have a post here thanking everyone who's helped me get to this point. I know it's sappy and sentimental, but it really has been a great ride so far.

 

To Aether, fitanon, and dashisbestpone: You guys are the reason I got into writing in the first place. I know I've said it a million times, but without your stories and early support, I wouldn't be here at all. Thanks. I really mean that. Thanks.

 

To Chronicler, MisterElGuapo, Wuten, Mito, NoLongerAnon, Thunder, and Gadget: You've all helped me develop my writing style, proofread my stories, and/or generally supported my work, even when I took forever to do it. You guys kick ass. Never stop.

 

To the rest of the guys in the Skype, the tripfriends in the thread, and the Anonymous readers out there: Thanks. Thanks for reading, for commenting, critiquing, nit-picking, and telling me the things I suck at. It's because of you guys and the people I mentioned before that this thing, this little family of writers that came together way back in March, has grown so large and so great. You guys, you Anonymous posters and not-so-Anonymous writers, have managed to build up a little island of awesome in a sea of general mediocrity. I applaud you for that and am glad to have spent the last six months helping it along, however much I have.
