  1. >Day 196 in Ponyville
  2. >Rain is pounding on your roof
  3. >Drops clatter against your windows
  4. >You flop out of bed, heavy sleep clouding your brain
  5. >Rainbow Dash must have the weather team out in force to make this much rain
  6. >Good, you think, it'll keep at least one of your constant sources of worry at bay
  7. >You shuffle to the kitchen to make some coffee
  8. 'O, Coffee, who art in cabinet,'
  9. >You open the cabinets and grope for the container
  10. 'hallowed be thy beans,'
  11. >Grabbing the beans, you put them on the counter
  12. 'thy caffeine come,
  13. >You drop a filter into the machine
  14. 'my sleep be done,
  15. >The ground beans fall into the filter
  16. 'in me, as it is in ponies.'
  17. >You turn the machine on after pouring in the water
  18. >The machine gurgles to life as the sweet nectar drips into the pot
  19. >As you go to sit down you hear a rapid tapping at your door
  20. >This early? Really? Who the hell is it?
  21. >A sinking feeling hits your gut
  22. >You only know one pony who knocks with that much energy
  23. >Shivers run up your spine, snapping the sleepiness out of you
  24. >Guess you won't be needing that coffee...
  25. 1/x
  26.
  27. >You look through the peephole in your heavy-ass door
  28. >Blackness
  29. >Must be somep0ny's marshmallow hoof covering it
  30. Who's there?
  31. >”It's your old pal Pinkie Pie, silly filly!”
  32. >Pinkie. Somehow you knew...
  33. >Against your better judgment you open your front door
  34. >Pinkie stands in the rain with her absurd grin holding despite the downpour
  35. >Her hair is somehow still in its crazy poofy state
  36. What is it Pinkie?
  37. >”Oh, I just wanted to invite you to a private party. It'll be fun! Just you...me...”
  38. >Her grin becomes manic as she pulls the string by her leg
  39. >How did you not notice that before?
  40. >The Party Cannon fires a net which entangles you immediately
  41. >You fall to the ground, trapped
  42. >”Oh, I'm so happy you accepted my invitation! Come on, we'll get the party started right away!”
  43. >She takes out a rag and puts it to your face
  44. >You try to hold your breath but eventually you sink into unconsciousness
  45. >The last thing you hear is the sound of Pinkie prancing down the street dragging you along
  46. 2/x
  47.
  48. >You wake up in the dark
  49. >Where the hell are you?
  50. >The sound of rain is muffled. You're either in a basement or you've been out for a goddamn while
  51. >Your eyes adjust to the dark
  52. >You can make out a pair of eyes staring at you through the darkness
  53. >Fucking Pinkie...
  54. >”Oh good, you're up! Now we can start the party!”
  55. >She hops up and bounces out of the room
  56. >The ropes binding your hands are tight. Struggling avails you nothing
  57. >A lightbulb turns on, illuminating the room as you hear her come down the stairs again
  58. >Pinkie comes back in with two full saddlebags and holding a flask in her mouth
  59. >She sets it on the table and unloads the bags
  60. >Balloons, streamers, confetti, and...a funnel?
  61. >Oh fuck
  62. >She moves over to you and forces the funnel into your mouth
  63. >”I hope you like punch!”
  64. >She pours the contents of the flask down your throat before you can resist
  65. >After putting the flask back on the table she saunters back
  66. >Gotta be a way out. Gotta be a way to escape...
  67. >You feel something behind you
  68. >The ropes fall to the ground as Pinkie unties your hands
  69. >Your legs are next, she works them free of the chair before circling around in front of you
  70. >You bolt out of the chair to run
  71. >It was good fortune Pinkie was absent-minded enough to untie you
  72. >As you start to run you feel your legs crumple beneath you
  73. >You fall on your face into Pinkie's arms, the pony having cut you off
  74. >”Party time, Anon” She whispers in your ear with a heavy breath
  75. 3/x
  76.
  77. >Pinkie lays you out on your back
  78. >Your limbs won't move. They just lie there limp
  79. >The pony saunters around you, batting her eyes as she stares at your powerless state
  80. >She looks hungrily at your pants, then back at your face
  81. >A greedy smile comes over her face as she lowers her head to undo your belt
  82. >You try to talk but only manage to mumble some gibberish
  83. >Looks like you can't do jack shit right now
  84. >A tugging at your pants signals Pinkie's success with your belt, button, and zipper
  85. >You feel them get pulled off and Pinkie's breath on your exposed skin
  86. >She moves back up to your face
  87. >Her mouth is so close you yours
  88. >She stares at you with an unsettling gleam in her eye
  89. >That hungry look is still there
  90. >You feel as she exhales deeply on your neck, her head moving down your body
  91. >Her snout brushes you as she goes
  92. >'Hey, boner? Cut that shit out right now. There is a time and a place and this is neither'
  93. >Pinkie starts working your boxers off
  94. >She's almost there when she stops suddenly
  95. >You hear something upstairs
  96. >Loud steps
  97. >Pounding on a door
  98. >More steps
  99. >The lights go out
  100. >You hear a loud scuffle as Pinkie is thrown against the wall
  101. >”You ok, sugarcube?”
  102. 4/x
  103.
  104. >Your eyes adjust again to the dark as your bro heaves you onto her back
  105. Mphabblehacgraphllaphl
  106. >Motherfucking Apbrojack's got your back
  107. >She finally gets you secure and hauls your ass out of Pinkie's basement
  108. >”Looks like she did a number on you, partner. Let's git you back home”
  109. >Applejack carries you back to your house through the rain
  110. >She managed to drape your pants over you so you don't flash anyp0ny
  111. >You get home and your bro unloads you onto your couch
  112. >”Sit tight, sugarcube, Ahll git some coffee fer ya”
  113. >After a little while you can sort of move again
  114. >At least enough to swallow the coffee as your bro helps you hold the mug steady
  115. >You're good enough to talk semi-coherently at this point
  116. Fuckhin Pin-kee Pahh aahhllmosht gaahht mee therrrr
  117. >”Ah know, Anon, yer lucky Ah got to ya in time”
  118. Thaaanksshh, Abbljzack. Yerr a ghood phrend
  119. >She smiles a little bit and looks to the kitchen
  120. >You see a little bit of  a blush come on as she gets up to get more coffee
  121. >She's probably just worked up from fighting off Pinkie Pie and then carrying you across town
  122. >Your arms start working after about a half hour
  123. >You can stand up around ten minutes after that
  124. >Apbrojack helps you walk over to your kitchen table
  125. >She sits you back down and goes to the living room to get the mug
  126. >You look out the window
  127. >To your horror you see a familiar pony looking at you from the bushes
  128. >She winks
  129. >You scream
  130. 5/x
  131.
  132. >Applejack runs into the kitchen
  133. >As she passes the front door you watch as she's blindsided by Pinkie's Party Cannon
  134. >Your bro falls to the ground unconscious
  135. >You look back to the bushes
  136. >Pinkie's gone
  137. >Turn around
  138. >She's right in front of you with her manic grin and greedy eyes
  139. >”C'mon, Anon, we've still got lots of party games to play! Pin the tail on the pony, bobbing for apples...”
  140. >Her tone gets more unsettling as she speaks
  141. >“...hide the sausage...”
  142. >Oh HELL NO
  143. >You leap out of your chair to escape
  144. >She catches your leg and you fall
  145. >Body slams against the table
  146. >fadetoblack.mp3
  147.
  148. >Wake up in the basement again
  149. >Pinkie's set up the streamers and balloons
  150. >You struggle to get out of the ropes keeping you in your chair
  151. >The pink pony circles the chair, still eying you with that unsettling glint
  152. >She stops next to you and puts her mouth right up to your ear
  153. >”Now just because you're tied up doesn't mean we can't party. I can think of a couple games we can play in this...position”
  154. 6/x
  155.
  156. >Pinkie Pie plants a kiss on your neck before walking around to face you
  157. >She rests her forehooves on your crotch and looks at you
  158. >”Don't be a party-pooper, Anon. Everyp0ny loves my parties! You've just gotta get into it!”
  159. >She shifts her hooves, purposefully rubbing them on you
  160. >'Stop it, boner. Now's not the time.'
  161. >'LOL nope'
  162. >Pinkie steps back, smiling at her success
  163. >”That's the spirit!”
  164. >She looks really happy with herself...
  165. >You sit in the chair helpless as she starts undoing your belt
  166. >She hums cheerfully to herself as she does so
  167. >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNrXMOSkBas
  168. >Man, fuck this pony
  169. >...Wait, nevermind...shit...
  170. >The pants are off
  171. >This is bad
  172. >This is very bad
  173. >Pinkie is pawing at your boxers absent-mindedly while she stares you in the eye
  174. >”So what game should we play first?”
  175. >She thinks for a minute before looking back at you, having had an idea
  176. >A devious smile crawls over her face
  177. >”How about we just rut?”
  178. >Wow...That was...frank...
  179. >The pink pony climbs up onto your lap
  180. >”You're gonna love this game, Anon!”
  181. 7/x
  182.
  183. >She starts fumbling at your boxers
  184. >It's slow-going since she has no thumbs and she's trying to balance on your lap
  185. >She's so caught up in her efforts that she doesn't notice your bro creep down the stairs
  186. >Applejack raises her hind legs, preparing to kick Pinkie off of you
  187. >Pinkie leans way back as Applejack's feet fly out
  188. >”Hey! No one like a party-crasher, Applejack.”
  189. >She hops off of your lap as Applejack recovers her balance and turns to face her
  190. >”You keep yer hooves offa him, y'hear?”
  191. >The anger in Applejack's voice is palpable
  192. >”Aw, you're no fun, Applejack. If you want I could share my party guest with you?”
  193. >Applejack blushes, taken aback by Pinkie's suggestion
  194. >Pinkie takes advantage of her flustered state
  195. >She jumps at Applejack, hoping to incapacitate your bro
  196. Applejack!
  197. >Your voice seems to snap her out of it
  198. >Just in time too, she's able to get out of the way
  199. >As Pinkie lands, Applejack lands a hard kick on her side
  200. >The pink pony goes flying across the room
  201. >She gets back up, defiantly cheerful
  202. >”Well if you don't want to share, you can always stay and wat-”
  203. >She's cut off when Applejack lands a heavy blow on her forehead, knocking her out
  204. >You can feel the ropes being loosened behind you
  205. >Saved twice in one day by your bro, Applejack
  206. 8/x
  207.
  208. >You don't see Pinkie for the rest of the day
  209. >She seemed more determined than usual today
  210. >Maybe it's the rain
  211. >Rainbow's weather team sure are making it pour today
  212. >By the time the sun goes down it's still raining
  213. >Friggin' rain...
  214. >You offer to let Applejack stay the night at your place since walking back to Sweet Apple Acres in the rain would suck
  215. So what do you want to do to pass the time, then?
  216. >She looks surprised for a second, face turning red
  217. >Her blush fades when she sees the confused look on your face
  218. >”Uhh, movies and booze?” She goes for the good old standard
  219. Damn right, bro. I'll get my stash
  220. >You go to the cupboard and retrieve your many bottles
  221. >Applejack Daniels, Celestia's Reserve, the good stuff
  222. >You bring the bottles back over to the couch while Apbrojack flicks on the TV
  223. >The two of you sit back, open the booze, and laugh your asses off at the movie
  224. >As the night goes on you remember why Applejack is your best bro
  225. >Rape-saves aside, she's got your back, she knows how to have fun, and she's down-to-earth enough to get you
  226. >Without looking away from the TV you put out your fist
  227. >She meets it in kind with her hoof
  228. >The rain subsides as the two of you fall asleep on the couch, basking in the TV's blue glow
  229. 9/x
  230.
  231. >Sunlight filters through your window
  232. >Your eyes open slowly, overcoming the fog brought on by a night of drinking
  233. >Applejack is sprawled out on the couch
  234. >You get up and make a pot of coffee
  235. >As the pot fills up you hear a loud thud
  236. >”Urgh, Ahm ok!” Applejack's groggy voice comes from the living room
  237. Just try not to break any bottles. Some of that stuff's expensive
  238. >”Very funny, Anon. Ah didn't break any of yer precious bottles”
  239. >You chuckle and bring the coffee out to the living room
  240. >After a half hour cleaning up and finishing the coffee Applejack heads home
  241. >Looking out the kitchen window you see her stop and look back
  242. >You can't make out her expression
  243. >She continues walking down the road after a second or two
  244. >A little weird, you think, but you DID almost get taken by Pinkie yesterday...
  245. >...twice...
  246. >No doubt she's worried about you
  247. >At any rate, you've got work to do
  248. >You change your clothes and make your way into town
  249. >You don't want to be late with Twilight. No one wants to be late with Twilight...
  250. 10/x
  251.
  252. >”Two minutes, eleven seconds, Anon! I could have used you that whole time, but you. Weren't. Here.”
  253. >You were late with Twilight
  254. >She somehow manages to lecture you AND continue whatever it was she was doing at the same time
  255. >”Since you were late coming in, you've got to work extra hard to catch up, OK?”
  256. Sure, Twilight, what do you need me to do?
  257. >A few books float over to you
  258. >”Take these books over to Fluttershy. And please, don't be late with it”
  259. >Twilight sounds exasperated
  260. >It's a little annoying, you were only two minutes late, after all
  261. >But you go anyway. An excuse to see Fluttershy makes up for the lecture
  262. >You take the long way to Fluttershy's house
  263. >As you cross the market district you spot a stallion at Applejack's stand
  264. >He leans on the counter as he leers at your bro
  265. >You already don't like him
  266. >You start back down to Fluttershy's place
  267. >A sudden noise makes you whip around
  268. >Sounds like boards crashing together
  269. >You hear your bro yell
  270. >The books drop to the ground as you rush back to the Apple stand
  271. >Looks like a big board came down on the stand
  272. >The stallion pushed Applejack out of the way, it seems
  273. >She looks safe, unhurt
  274. >Maybe you just jumped to conclusions
  275. >You see Applejack blush
  276. >The stallion looks straight at you with a sneer
  277. >Houston, we have a problem
  278. 11/x
  279.
  280. >You deliver the books to Fluttershy quickly and go back to the library
  281. >You're mad. Why are you mad? Was it just because of that stallion's shit-eating sneer?
  282. >Whatever
  283. >Twilight's cooled down once you get back
  284. >You work at the library all day and soon forget about Applejack and the stallion
  285. >It's not even a big deal
  286. >She was probably surprised by the falling boards
  287. >Twilight has you organizing books with Spike
  288. >Finally finish around 5
  289. >You head to Sweet Apple Acres after work to see if your bro wants to chill
  290. >Applebloom comes out to greet you when you walk up the path
  291. >”Howdy, Anon? What'cha need?”
  292. I'm looking for Applejack. Have you seen her around?
  293. >”Applejack? She went off with some purple feller a lil while ago”
  294. >That stallion at the market was purple...
  295. >”Hey Anon? Could ya maybe stop crushin' our doorknob?”
  296. >You look down to see your hand clenched around the Apples' front door
  297. Right, sorry, about that, Applebloom. I'll see you later
  298. >”Uh, ok...”
  299. >You walk back to your house with an unwelcome sinking feeling
  300. >It's gonna be a lonesome night
  301. 12/x
  302.
  303. >The next few days pass without you getting to hang out with Applejack at all
  304. >You overhear gossip from the other ponies
  305. >The stallion's name is Grape Bristle
  306. >Apparently he's been saving your bro from a series of dangerous situations for the past few days
  307. >The ponies are talking
  308. >The two of them have gotten close
  309. >You feel something not right about this
  310. >Applejack isn't one to be so danger-prone
  311. >You decide to ask around about what kind of accidents have been happening
  312. >Everything from falling construction supplies to a fucking tree going down right in front of the two of them just this morning
  313. >Just doesn't sit right
  314. >You head home from the market and see a small violet colt walking down the road with a saddlebag
  315. >The handle of an ax is sticking out as he walks
  316. >This does not bode well
  317. >You backtrack from where the colt was walking until you find the felled tree
  318. >Clearly it's been cut through enough to be pushed over
  319. >Something is definitely wrong here
  320. >That sinking feeling comes back when you think about that stallion using such underhanded tactics
  321. >And on YOUR bro, no less
  322. >Twilight will know what to do. You've got to talk to Twilight about this
  323. 13/x
  324.
  325. >”I don't know, Anon. Why would somep0ny fake something like that?”
  326. >Dammit, you can't convince Twilight of shit
  327. >You've been talking in circles for forty minutes
  328. >Without the axe you've got nothing
  329. >”If you're really worried, you should talk to Applejack. It sounds like there's more going on here”
  330. What's that supposed to mean?
  331. >”Nothing, nothing. Just go talk to Applejack, Anon. I think this is a long time coming”
  332. I swear to Celestia, if you keep prancing around with your words-
  333. >You take a deep breath and compose yourself
  334. >Can't get worked up right now
  335. >She's right, you should just talk to your bro
  336. Ok, I'll go talk to her
  337. >Fat lot of help she was. You can't just walk up to Applejack and drop something like this
  338. >You need to get proof first
  339. >And you know right where to start
  340. >You go straight to the market and start asking around for information about Grape Bristle and the colt
  341. >Apparently they just moved to Ponyville
  342. >The colt's name is Grape Juice
  343. >They're staying at one of the inns until they can get a house in town
  344. >You get the name of the inn and decide to stake it out
  345. >Sure, you look like a fucking stalker, but you've got to get proof
  346. >Finally the purple colt emerges from the inn
  347. >You tail him until he reaches the edge of town
  348. >He takes a saw out of the saddlebag and sets to work on some tree branches before climbing up
  349. >Son of a bitch...
  350. 14/x
  351.
  352. >Your anger overcomes your reason and you set out to confront the little shit
  353. >Unfortunately your timing couldn't be worse
  354. >As you pull Grape Juice out of the tree you hear a voice
  355. >”Anon, what in 'tarnation are ya doin' to that colt?”
  356. >FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
  357. >”I was j-just p-playing in the tree and t-then th-this big m-mean thing just g-grabbed me...”
  358. >The colt is letting the waterworks go
  359. >”H-he said it w-was b-because he d-doesn't like my brother-herrr.....”
  360. >Applejack looks shocked
  361. >”I can't believe what Ahm seein' Anon. Ah never thought you had it in ya to pick on a little colt like that...and just because I'm seein' Grape Bristle? That's low, partner”
  362. >You put Grape Juice down and walk over to you bro
  363. >Before you can get a word in you feel her hoof collide with your cheek
  364. >You close your eyes in pain and you hear your bro's hoofsteps and muffled sobs as she trots away
  365. >When you look up again you see Grape Juice on her back, sticking his tongue out at you
  366.
  367. >The next day you get a visitor at your house
  368. >Fluttershy
  369. >She heard about what happened from Applejack, apparently
  370. >But she, being the kind pony she is, decided to come talk to you instead of slapping you and runn-
  371. >No, don't get bitter, Anon. You're better than that
  372. >Maybe Fluttershy can help you with this
  373. >She's good with...uh...animals...costumes...
  374. >Dammit
  375. >Well at least you have somep0ny to talk to about this
  376. 15/x
  377.
  378. So I guess you heard, huh?
  379. >”About you and Applejack? Oh, um, yes...”
  380. It's not my fault, Fluttershy. I was trying to find out what's going on with that stallion Applejack's with
  381. >”But Applejack said that, um, well...”
  382. I know what she thinks she saw, but I swear, something's not right about that Grape Bristle
  383. >She looks at you, puzzled
  384. I think he's been setting up all those “accidents” so he can play the hero for Applejack
  385. >Fluttershy gives you a kind smile; she's obviously humoring you
  386. >You maintain your pokerface and she realizes that you're serious
  387. >”You really think that Grape Bristle is...tricking Applejack? Oh my, that's a terrible thing to say!”
  388. Fluttershy, you have to believe me, I SAW Grape Juice saw those tree branches yesterday. I know he's been setting up those “accidents”
  389. >”Well is the branch still there? Maybe, if it's not too much of a bother that is...”
  390. >She looks down and pats her front hooves together nervously
  391. Yeah, come on. I'll show you where that little colt sawed the tree branch
  392. >You walk out of the house with Fluttershy in tow
  393. >You'll sort this out now
  394. >That sinking feeling returns whenever you think about that colossal asshole Grape Bristle getting close to your...
  395. >...your bro
  396. >Why did your mind hesitate just then?
  397. We're almost there, Fluttershy
  398. >The yellow pegasus follows timidly
  399. >She'll believe you when she sees
  400. >She has to...
  401. 16/x
  402.
  403. >You get to the tree and direct Fluttershy to the lower branches
  404. >She flies up and takes a look at the branches that Grape Juice put the saw to
  405. >”Oh my...that doesn't look very good at all...”
  406. Do you see? I'm telling you, Grape Bristle is setting all this up! He's playing Applejack!
  407. >”That big. Fat. MEANIE”
  408. >Oh boy, Flutterrage mode active
  409. >She takes off full tilt for Sweet Apple Acres
  410. >You'd have liked to go with her at the same time to talk to Applejack, but this will do
  411. >You set off running after her. Hopefully you can make it in time to back Fluttershy up
  412.
  413. >As you get to Sweet Apple Acres you see Applejack walk out of the barn
  414. >Fluttershy had flown over head a few minutes prior, so it's just you now
  415. >Hopefully she'll have talked sense into your bro
  416. >”You've got some nerve, Anon”
  417. >Ah, crap on a bagel
  418. >”Sendin' Fluttershah up here with yer story, Ah can't believe you'd get her involved lahk this”
  419. >Obstinate, stubborn Applejack
  420. >Your heart sinks with every word
  421. >She's angry, hurt, confused...
  422. >You can see tears welling up in her green eyes
  423. >”Whah can't you just be happy fer me? Whah're you actin' lahk this, Anon?”
  424. >Her anger has turned to sadness as her voice starts to shake
  425. >”You should go”
  426. Applejack, please... just let me-
  427. >”Ah s-said, you sh-should go...”
  428. Applejack, listen to m-
  429. >”NOW”
  430. 17/x
  431.
  432. >You walk back to town, defeated
  433. >If she won't listen to Fluttershy, how can she listen to anyone?
  434. >That bastard stallion
  435. >You'll kill him
  436. >Your fist clenches
  437. >You can feel yourself shaking
  438. >By the time you get home you can barely see straight
  439. >You close the door to your house and collapse
  440. >You'll kill Grape Bristle
  441. >That bastard...
  442. >He...
  443. >It hits you
  444. >He may have been tricking Applejack
  445. >He may have been playing the underhanded game, setting himself up to play the hero
  446. >But he wasn't the one who drove Applejack away from you
  447. >You did
  448. >You followed his brother
  449. >You pulled him out of the tree
  450. >He just did what any colt would do: pinning the blame on you...
  451. >It's your fault she's crying
  452. >It's your fault she's confused and angry
  453. >The tears start to fall from your eyes
  454. >The sinking feeling in your gut transforms and claws at you
  455. >A knock comes at the door
  456. >”Anon?”
  457. 18/x
  458.
  459. >The door opens and you hear somep0ny walk in
  460. >”hey,Anon, you in he- woah”
  461. >She sees the state you're in and stops
  462. >You feel a marshmallowy hoof on your shoulder
  463. >You see the cyan of Rainbow Dash's hoof when you look up
  464. >She might not be your closest friend, but you feel like she might know Applejack better than anyone
  465. >The mares are kindred spirits, really
  466. >You compose yourself, comforted by the pegasus' quiet understanding
  467. >”I came to see how you were doing, Anon. I didn't expect...uh...whatever THIS is...”
  468. Sorry, Rainbow Dash. I know it looks bad, everything that's happened with Applejack...
  469. >”Yeeaahhh, I may have heard about that...”
  470. It's my fault...
  471. >”What? How could it be YOUR fault? It's that Grape Bristle character who should be apologizing”
  472. No, no, I followed his brother and made Applejack think I was jealous
  473. >”ARE you?”
  474. No, yes, I...I don't even know...
  475. >”Listen. I heard about that purple stallion's little game from Fluttershy. It's not your fault, it's HIS”
  476. But I-
  477. >”You were looking out for Applejack, Anon. The way a friend should. She's just too stubborn to see it”
  478. Rainbow, what the hell can I do now? She won't even talk to me after today
  479. >”Well first off, you can buck up and pull yourself together”
  480. >You calm yourself down as best you can
  481. >”Now, I'm going to go get this Grape Bristle and his little colt brother and bring them over to Sweet Apple Acres”
  482. What? What are you planning, Rainbow?
  483. >”You'll see. Just head down to the park and wait at the bridge over the river”
  484. >You've got a bad feeling about this
  485. 19/x
  486.
  487. >You walk down to the park with heavy heart
  488. >Fluttershy couldn't talk sense into Applejack, and she's your other closest friend
  489. >What good can Rainbow Dash do, involving that goddamn stallion and his shit-stain brother?
  490. >You sit on the edge of the bridge and wait
  491. >”C'mon, it's just up this way...”
  492. >You hear Rainbow's voice in the distance
  493. >The sinking feeling returns
  494. >”Is it much further? Apple and I had plans down by the old mill”
  495. >That voice must be Grape Bristle's
  496. >They're close
  497. >You feel your fist clench involuntarily
  498. >The hoofsteps stop
  499. >”Rainbow...”
  500. >Applejack does not sound pleased
  501. >”Why in 'tarnation is HE here?”
  502. >”Just hear me out, OK, Applejack?”
  503. >”Ah ain't inter'sted in what HE has ta say, Rainbow, we're leavin'”
  504. >You turn around as Rainbow produces Grape Juice's saddlebags
  505. >”How'd you get that, you blue meanie?”
  506. >”Let's just say I found it LYING around” Rainbow's voice is full of authority
  507. >Grape Bristle looks panicked at first, but retains his cool
  508. >He's not going to let anything up
  509. >”Rainbow, what is goin' on here?”
  510. >Applejack looks at her pegasus friend impatiently
  511. >”You've been tricked, Applejack”
  512. >Applejack's eyes narrow.
  513. >This can't be going as Rainbow had hoped
  514. 20/x
  515.
  516. >”Anon tried to show you but you pushed him away because you're so bucking stubborn”
  517. >Grape Bristle smirks that shit-eating smirk
  518. >”Anon here has done nothing but hurt my Applejack out of his jealousy, Rainbow Dash”
  519. >Rainbow shoots him a glare that shuts him up
  520. >”He was trying to show you proof. Proof I've got now”
  521. >She empties Grape Juice's saddlebag onto the ground
  522. >The saw falls into a pile of sawdust and woodchips
  523. >You see a hammer, some glue, and a load of other tools drop in front of Applejack
  524. >”What's all this? So my brother is into carpentry. Doesn't prove anything”
  525. >”I figured you'd say that, so I took photos”
  526. >She drops several pictures of the sawed branch, the board over the stand (which was missing several nails) and other instances of Grape Juice's sabotage
  527. >Applejack's face turns from shock and disbelief to pain and anger
  528. >”Y'all tricked me this whole tahm?”
  529. >She looks at Grape Bristle, hurt
  530. >Rainbow flies off
  531. >”I'm done here, it's up to you now, Anon. So don't buck this up”
  532. >Grape Juice takes a few steps back
  533. >He knows what's coming
  534. >”Apple, let me explai-”
  535. >A hoof to the face sends him to the ground
  536. >”Ah don't wanna hear another word outta you”
  537. >She takes a look at the photos and you see her face as she realizes her error
  538. >Grape Bristle stands back up, looking furiously at you
  539. Bring it on. I've been waiting for this
  540. 21/x
  541.
  542. >As the stallion charges you you see Applejack rear her hind legs
  543. >Before you have a chance to punch him in his smug face, her hind legs crack into this skull, sending him flying
  544. >Grape Juice bolts when he sees his brother floored by one kick
  545. >Applejack looks back at you
  546. >”Anon...”
  547. >Her eyes are welling up again
  548. >”Ahm so sorry, Anon... Ah didn't know...”
  549. >You wrap your arms around her as her voice quakes
  550. It's OK, Applejack
  551. >”It's naught, Anon. Ahm a terrible friend”
  552. You're not
  553. >”Ah am” she sobs “Ah wanted to be more than just yer 'bro' and Ah didn't know how...”
  554. >You say nothing. All you can do is hold Applejack tighter
  555. >”...And then HE came along, and he paid attention to me. He was always there when things went bad. Ah just accepted it b'cause Ah wanted it to be true so badly...”
  556. >Her words hit you hard. You're to blame for missing her feelings. For missing your own...
  557. >”Ah love ya, Anon... Ah don't care that yer a human...Ah don't care...”
  558. >The sinking feeling in you gut is gone
  559. Applejack...
  560. >You pull her face close to yours
  561. I know
  562. >Your kiss silences the heavy sobs from the pony in your arms
  563. >You don't care that she's a pony
  564. >She doesn't care that you're a human
  565. >It doesn't matter
  566. >In this moment, you feel immortal
  567. >Like everything is going to be alright
  568. End
  569.
  570. Alt. Ending
  571. >As the stallion charges you, a rush of adrenaline surges in your body
  572. >You don't even care that he can probably floor you easily
  573. >He tricked your bro
  574. >Rainbow's right, it's not your fault
  575. >He rears up
  576. >You clench your fist and duck down
  577. >As his hooves overshoot you, your fist finds its mark
  578. >Grape Bristle's stomach yields as you follow through
  579. >He stumbles back, eyes clamped shut in pain
  580. Didn't set THAT up, did you?
  581. >'You suck at one-liners, you know that?'
  582. >Not now, brain
  583. >You take a step forward
  584. >The stallion sees your determination
  585. >He stands across from you, waiting for you to make a move
  586. >”That's enough, botha y'all!”
  587. >Applejack finally speaks up
  588. >”Bristle, Ah can't believe you'd stoop so low as ta trick me into likin' ya. We're through, y'hear? Now git!”
  589. >Grape Bristle sighs and nods. Nothing he can do to change her mind anyway
  590. >He walks past you to pick up Grape Juice
  591. >As he passes you he stops
  592. >”I might have tricked Apple, here, but you know what, Anon?”
  593. >He pauses, then, with a snarl
  594. >”At least I tried to give her something more than somep0ny to 'hang out' with. You're no better than me. Don't forget that”
  595. 22/x
  596.
  597. >Well, that kind of took the wind out of your sails...
  598. >Grape Bristle walks off with his brother
  599. >You watch them go as Applejack comes up to you
  600. >She looks like she's about to say something
  601. I'm sorry, Applejack... I should have just told you myself before any of this happened
  602. >”It don't matter none, Anon. Ya wanted ta look out fer me-”
  603. I was jealous
  604. >”...Say what now?”
  605. I did this, all of this, because I was jealous, mad, conflicted
  606. >”Jealous... a what?”
  607. >You turn to look at her
  608. >She's blushing again
  609. >Grape Bristle's words echo in your head
  610. >He's right, you made her your bro and she ignored her feelings because of it
  611. >But you've come to a realization through this
  612. Him, getting so close to you. At first I thought I was just looking out for my...bro
  613. >You hesitate
  614. >She winces at the word
  615. But when nop0ny believed me I panicked. Thinking of losing you...
  616. >Her arms encircle you
  617. >”Not another word, sugarcube”
  618. >You return her embrace, lowering your head to meet hers
  619. Can it work?
  620. >”Ah don't know, sug. But we kin give it a trah...can't we?”
  621. >Her mane is soft
  622. >You can feel her heartbeat through her chest
  623. Yeah...we will
  624. >The two of you stay there in silence until it's time to go back home
  625. >~~~~~~~
  626. >Across town
  627. >”Eye-twitch, tail-shake, leg-flap, eye-twitch, mane-flip”
  628. >A gasp
  629. >”Anon and Applejack??”
  630. >A poofy mane deflates and a sinister aura fills the air
  631. >”I'll have to throw a party...”
  632. End
