>The department of housing had asked you if you'd be okay rooming with a girl, and offered you reduced tuition if you accepted
>Lord knows you'd take all the money you could get
>You managed to get into CU with a decent scholarship for mechanical engineering, but everything helped
>And you really didn't mind sharing a dorm with a girl, so long as she wasn't messy or a bitch
>You're currently in the middle of schlepping your stuff from your old dorm building to the co-ed dorm across the street, a small two-floor affair
>Thank God you're on the first floor now, trekking up three flights of stairs to your old room was shit
>With the aid of your longtime friend Big Macintosh, you managed to move everything over in just two trips
>Mac is a sophomore, here on a football scholarship
>Dude's built like a goddamn skyscraper, and plays like one too
>You drop the last box on the floor by your bed
"Phew. I think we're good. I appreciate the help, Mac."

>Next is the little fridge, microwave on top

>You're just starting to put your clothes away when the door opens and you hear a woman's voice
>"...so here's your room - oh, your roommate's here already!"
>Over your shoulder, you see two girls in the doorway
>Holding it open is Lily Valley, your residence hall director (RHD for short)
>She's a Junior, and not bad to look at
>Behind her is a beige-skinned girl you've never seen, with a shock of blue hair
>She's wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, carrying what looks to be a guitar case
 
>Lily smiles and claps
>"This is great! Go on, say hello!"
>You straighten up and step forward, extending a hand and flash a winning smile
"Anonymous Bystander. Nice to meet you...?"
>She smiles as well and firmly returns the handshake
>"Ashley Sentry. Likewise."
>Lily bounces in place
>"I'll leave you two to it then! Happy spring semester!"
