- Welcome to Day 7 of Anon, The New Assistant! This is a Choose Your Own Adventure story following the life of Anonymous as he adjusts to life in his new town, Ponyville, and at his new job, as Twilight's library assistant. The story is written day by day, usually around 21:30-22:00. Choices will be made off of a vote for different options, and majority rules, unless I state otherwise. In the situation of a tie, I go with whichever option was voted for first. Feel free to vote for something other than provided, but I am ultimately the final judge of whether or not those options will be picked. Also, feel free to tell me to text someone, your contact list is in the pastebin.

- (Oh, and for those who were here last night, sorry that your choices are now void from yesterday)
- And now, let the story begin!
- -----
- >The sun shines on your face as you wake up this Sunday morning.
- >You prop yourself up on your elbow and look over at your alarm clock and see that the time is 8:45 AM.
- >Vinyl is still asleep in the bed beside you, probably exhausted from the moving of all her shit to your apartment.
- >You yawn and begin to decide what to do for the day.
- A. Shower
- B. Breakfast
- C. Back to sleep
- D. Other
- >Wait a minute, it's your day off.
- >Why the fuck would you not sleep in on your day off?
- Anon: "Fuck that shit, nigga!"
- >You flop back into bed and close your eyes.
- >You hear Vinyl roll over and then feel a light thump on your shoulder.
- >Guess you woke her up, woops.
- >You fall back asleep fairly quickly.
- >One of the greatest feelings in the world, in your opinion, is the feeling of falling back asleep in the morning.
- >...
- Vinyl: "Hey Anon?"
- >...
- Vinyl: "Anon?"
- Anon: "Mhhhh, yea?"
- Vinyl: "Where do you keep your forks?"
- Anon: "They're in the drawer underneath the microwave.
- Vinyl: "Mmk, thanks dude."
- >You flip yourself over and look at the time.
- >10 AM, you got yourself an extra hour and fifteen minutes of sleep.
- A. Shower
- B. Breakfast
- C. Other
- >You climb out of bed and yawn loudly.
- >Your stomach rumbles not a second later. Guess you better go see what Vinyl made for breakfast.
- >You get up and go out to your kitchen, you can see Vinyl sitting at the table eating some waffles, she has a huge tower of waffles on a separate plate on the middle of your table.
- >She's wearing her headphones, and you can hear the Knife Party coming from them from where you're standing. You walk in and grab a plate of waffles.
- >She takes her headphones off and tosses them onto the couch and smiles at you.
- Anon: "Morning, Vinyl! I see you put your waffle maker to work not too long ago."
- Vinyl: "Yup, I got up this morning and the waffles were calling my name."
- >You laugh at how strange she can be, yet so casual at the same time.
- A. Talk to Vinyl (Choose topic)
- B. Eat Silently
- C. Other
- >You put down your fork for a second and look up at Vinyl.
- Anon: "So..."
- >ANON WHAT ARE YOU DOING
- Anon: "...How about them, uh, c-complex equations"
- >OH GOD DAMNIT ANON
- >She looks up at you like you are literally the stupidest person on Earth.
- >Quick, change the subject, maybe she didn't see all that spaghetti going everywhere
- Anon: "Never mind that. Hey, where are we gonna keep all your stuff? There's only so much space in here."
- >She shakes her head at you and lets out a small laugh.
- Vinyl: "Well, you only have one bedroom in your apartment, so I guess we could just have beds on opposite sides of the bedroom if that's cool with you."
- >You can't really think of any better place to keep that, so you guess that'll have to work.
- Vinyl: "Otherwise, I figured I'd get rid of most of my unnecessary stuff, you know, for cash."
- Anon: "Actually that brings me to my next question."
- Vinyl: "Yep?"
- Anon: "If you don't mind me asking, just how bad is your financial situation?"
- >She looks at you and sighs.
- Vinyl: "It's kind of a long story."
- A. Long Version
- B. Short Version
- C. Change the subject
- D. Other
- Anon: "I've got time, let's talk."
- >A legitimate frown forms on her face; you can tell she doesn't want to talk about this.
- >None the less, she continues.
- Vinyl: "Well, it's a little embarrassing for me... But you've never made me feel bad before Anon, so I know I can trust you."
- >Oh shit man, this is gonna get serious. You give her your full attention.
- Vinyl: "I never really had any money growing up, enough to get by, but nothing extra. Nothing really appealed to me growing up, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I finally found inspiration though when my friend let me have her old, dying computer. I still remember coming home from school everyday to log on to the computer and play around with the different programs, always amazed. My parents were so happy to see me finally smiling and enjoying myself, even if it was doing something that was kind of a waste, that as soon as my dad got promoted at his job he started paying for internet. You can imagine my excitement when I started finding all these different things to do on the computer. I saw tons of things that a 12 year old shouldn't have seen, but my parents were always way too busy to even notice. Which is kinda lucky for me, or I would never have started hearing about techno. I was curious, so I wore down my sister into taking me to a free show that was going on downtown. When we got there, I was blown away by it all. The giant amounts of energy flowing throughout the club, the fun, exciting beats of the music, The flashing lights, it was a sensory overload for my young self. After the set ended, I snuck away from my sister to go backstage and talk to the DJ from the show. Probably scared the hell out of my sister, now that I'm thinking back on it. When I went back there, I managed to find the guy sitting down with a bottle of water, a huge smile on his face, telling some guy about how great the set was tonight. I walked right up to the guy and told him everything. I needed to know how to get started with this music. But that doesn't even describe how I felt, man. I knew from that night on that I would never find something I enjoyed that much again. I remember the DJ looking really happy that a person so young was into all this stuff. He told me all about how he got into the music scene, he gave me tips, told me everything he knew, that guy is still my hero to this day. I couldn't contain myself, that whole night was great. Later, the guy told me to wait there and ran to his car and sped off. I was pretty confused, but I waited. My sister eventually found me backstage and ran up to me. 'There you are, we need to go, it's getting really late,' she said. I fought with her to stay for just a little longer, and right as she was about to win and make me go back home, the DJ came running back. He had an old electronic keyboard, covered in dust. He told me that it was his first keyboard, but all it does anymore is sit in the attic. He gave it to me, saying he could tell from the shine in my eyes that I'd need it more than him. Ever since then, all I've spent my free time doing is working on music. I've been fired from several jobs because I'd show up late so I could finish the song I was working on, which I would inevitably decide was not good enough and end up scrapping anyways. When I was 16, I got my first gig at a club, technically they weren't supposed to let anyone under 18 DJ but they were desperate, I guess they had a cancellation or something. Anyways, I've been supporting myself through working part time at a local record shop and DJing ever since, but as you can imagine, that doesn't pay very well. So I started building up debt, and the landlord here was gonna have to kick me out. Thankfully, I met you and became your roommate, or I would have been fucked. Like seriously, all I know how to do or want to do is make music. But I can't do that without a place to live, at least not with my kind of music..."
- >She trails off there, and gives you a weak smile.
- >You keep looking at her, unsure how to react.
- I'm giving you guys free reign on this choice, I've got nothing.
- >You go around the table and gently rest a hand on her shoulder.
- Anon: "Hey, it's alright, we'll get you back on track with money... If you want, I can throw up some flyers in Twilight's library or something."
- >Vinyl stands up and gives you a hug, holding onto you tightly.
- Vinyl: "Thanks Anon, I really appreciate it."
- Anon: "Hey, it's no problem, I'm just doing what you do when someone you care about needs help."
- >She's still holding on to you, clearly grateful of your comforting words.
- Vinyl: "Sorry, I probably look like a big softy right now..."
- Anon: "Hey, don't worry, I like this Vinyl just as much as the loud, bro Vinyl."
- >You smile at her, and give a gentle laugh, and she does the same.
- A. Talk about other stuff
- B. Clean up from breakfast
- C. Other
- Anon: "Hey, it's my day off today, are you busy? We could go hang out and have some fun!"
- Vinyl: "Sure, that sounds like a good time!"
- >You guys get dressed for the day finally, and then head out of your apartment.
- Vinyl: "So what do you wanna do anyways?"
- Anon: "I dunno, we could just walk around and talk or something."
- Vinyl: "Okay, sounds like fun."
- >You guys go outside and start walking around town, joking about different stuff you see.
- >Vinyl looks like she is having a great time hanging out with you, and you are having a lot of fun too.
- Vinyl: "Hey, would you still want to help me with a song?"
- >
Not gonna lie, I completely forgot I wrote in that Anon plays bass
- Anon: "Yeah, that sounds like tons of fun! Plus, who knows, a new sound might get you some gigs again."
- >You keep on walking and talking, enjoying each others company. The weather is amazing today, and you are so happy you don't have to work.
- >Oh hey, there's Spike.
- >And he's with some girl. Are they...
- >Oh shit, they are full on yelling at each other.
- >You feel like you have an idea as to what's happening.
- A. Go check on them
- B. Leave them be, text Spike about it later.
- C. Other
- >You look back at Vinyl.
- Anon: "Sorry, I have to go take care of this, he's my bro.
- Vinyl: "No problem, I'm gonna head back to the apartment, I'll see you later."
- >Well there goes your hanging out.
- >Spike, you better hope this is worth it.
- >You run other there and jump into the conversation.
- Anon: "Woah, woah, woah, let's calm down. What's going on here?"
- >The girl Spike is fighting with looks over at you.
- ???: "And who might you be?"
- Anon: "I'm Anon, I've been looking after Spike and so it's my responsibility to make sure he doesn't fuck anything up."
- ???: "Oh, so you are the person I'm upset with!"
- >Wait what
- >What did you do?
- Spike: "Anon, that's Rarity."
- >That's kinda what you figured.
- Rarity: "Is it true that you told Spike he should go after Apple Bloom?"
- Anon: "Yes, that's the truth. Why?"
- Rarity: "I apologize if this comes off as rude, but why would you tell him that? He's just going to get hurt!"
- Anon: "What makes you say that? She seems to really like him!"
- Rarity: "How exactly do you know? From what I've heard, you've only seen them together once!"
- Anon: "Well it isn't hard to tell, she's practically melting in his hands."
- Rarity: "As a lady and friend of Spike's, I think you misread whatever emotions Apple Bloom was having."
- Anon: "Well as a friend of Spike's, I think you are being nosy and don't know what you are talking about."
- >Shit Anon, keep your cool.
- Rarity: "Excuse me? And what makes you so certain that you are right?"
- A. Confess to spying on Spike
- B. Continue to argue, not mentioning that
- C. Other
- >You take a single second to quickly decide what to say.
- Anon: "While I was at dinner at the Apple family's house, I went upstairs to Apple Bloom's room to tell them that dinner was ready. As I was doing that, I happened to see how they were acting together before they knew I was there. It was very clear that she was interested in him. She's a great girl for Spike, and I really think she is good for him. I understand your frustration and concern over the possibility that Spike could get hurt. But, frankly, I think your concerns are misguided. No matter what happens, I think this will be good for Spike. It'll give him a chance to grow up some."
- >She looks at you, probably debating with herself in her thoughts as to whether or not to accept what you said.
- Rarity: "I guess your right. But so help me, Anon, if you get Spike hurt--"
- Anon: "--Then I'll take full responsibility for my actions. Until then, I'm going to keep helping Spike out."
- Rarity: "...Okay."
- >You look over at Spike, then back at Rarity.
- Anon: "So is everybody satisfied?"
- >Each person nods silently.
- Anon: "Good. Rarity, next time we see each other, let's hope it's on better terms. I can tell you are a good friend, I'd love to get to know you better."
- >She nods, and then departs.
- Spike: "Thanks dude."
- Anon: "No problem, you alright, man?"
- Spike: "Yea, everything is good now."
- A. Hang out with Spike
- B. Go back to your apartment to hang with Vinyl
- C. Other
- Anon: "Alright dude, you take care, I gotta get going."
- >You wave goodbye and make your way back to the apartment.
- >What time is it? You are getting hungry again.
- >You pull out your phone and see that the time is 6:30 PM.
- >You send a quick text to Vinyl.
- Anon -> Vinyl(text): Hey, don't make anything for dinner yet I'm gonna pick up food
- >You put your phone away and go over to the local pizza place.
- >When you get in there, you sit in line for a minute. You've almost finished your first week of living in Ponyville so far, and everything has gone pretty well. It may have been exhausting or overwhelming at times, but you're really glad that you chose this town to move to.
- >You get a giant ass pepperoni pizza and make your way to your apartment.
- >When you get to the complex, you can hear dubstep playing loudly through your open window.
- >Guess Vinyl must've gotten her speakers upstairs on her own.
- >You head up there and grab plates, then hand her a slice of pizza.
- >You both sit there eating and channel surfing for a bit, but nothing really interesting is on.
- >After you are both done eating, you put away the leftover slices in your fridge and clean up the plates.
- >Hey, I guess the water is back on.
- >You just realized you haven't used your water all day up until now.
- >Whatever. You and Vinyl head down a floor and go back to moving things for the rest of the evening.
- >Just about everything is moved over now except for her bed, so Vinyl will have to sleep with you again tonight.
- >You guys get ready for bed and then go lie down.
- >You're kind of glad you never got to move Vinyl's bed upstairs, honestly.
- >It's strange, but you feel really comfortable with her beside you.
- >You listen to her gentle snoring from besides you. She can fall asleep really quickly.
- >As you start to drift off, you feel Vinyl moving around beside you, and then you feel an arm wrap loosely around your torso.
- >You smile, I guess she's really enjoying sleeping in the same bed as you, too.
- >You don't think she even woke up, she must have reached over in her sleep.
- >No point in bothering her to move her arm, even if you wanted her to.
- >It's really nice having her as a roommate. She's down to earth, someone you can really get along with. Not saying all your other friends aren't.
- >It's nice having a good group of friends this early into your time in town.
- >You smile, and then finally fall asleep for the day.
