Anon, The New Assistant: A Humanized CYOA - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of Anon, The New Assisstant! This is a Choose Your Own Adventure story following the life of Anonymous as he adjusts to life in his new town, Ponyville, and at his new job, as Twilight's library assistant. The story is written day by day, usually around 21:30-22:00. Choices will be made off of a vote for different options, and majority rules, unless I state otherwise. In the situation of a tie, I go with whichever option was voted for first. Feel free to vote for something other than provided, but I am ultimately the final judge of whether or not those options will be picked. >You awaken to the gentle sound of rain pattering on your bedroom window.

>What a relaxing way to awaken... What time is it anyways?

>9:30 AM

Anon: "SHIT, I'M LATE!"

>You jump out of bed as quickly as you can and sprint for the bathroom.

>Shower curtains are thrown open, and you dive in, washing yourself at breakneck pace.

>As soon as you get out, you towel yourself off and grab a forest green flannel and throw on some jeans.

>No time for breakfast today, you have to move! You are already an hour and forty-five minutes late for work!

>You slam the door behind you and run downstairs, and take a step outside.

>You take the first few steps on your walk to work when you remember that Twilight told you that you had the day off yesterday. Oops.

>Well, at least you are ready for the day now?

>Way to stay optimistic.

>Well, might as well go grab some food since you aren't in a rush now.

>You walk back up to your third floor apartment and go to grab some food.

>You make some toast and start frying an egg.

>You don't really know how to cook eggs, but how hard can it be?

>inb4 apartment complex burns down

>You get the toast as soon as it's ready and snag your low quality egg, and go sit on the couch and turn on the weather.

>The rainbow haired girl is giving the weather report again, and it looks like its gonna rain all day today.

>You munch on your food while half watching the TV.

>Your foods finished, and you bring the dishes over to the kitchen to clean up.

>While you are putting your plate away, you realize something.

Anon: "Wait a sec, I don't here any music. That's suspicious of Vinyl..."

>You step out of your apartment and head down the stairs towards Vinyl's front door.

>*Knock knock knock*

Anon: "Vinyl? You there?"

>No response to the calling out.

>A few seconds of silence go by and then you hear shuffling and the door opens.

Vinyl: "Dude, what do you want? I'm trying to sleep!"

Anon: "Oh, I didn't here your music so I figured you died or some shit."

Vinyl: "...You're fucking weird, man."

>You shrug and laugh a little, blaming the strangeness on your tiredness.

Vinyl: *chuckles* "You wanna come inside?"

Anon: "Nah, I've already got plans to wander around town for a while, see what fun things I can do."

Vinyl: "Oh, sounds like a good time. Mind if I join you?"

 

>You smile, and nod towards her.

Anon: "Sure, I don't see why not."

>Vinyl smiles and tells you to hold on.

>A moment later, she is back in the hallway with you, but now wearing jean shorts and a hoodie with a huge eighth note on the front, and light blue knee socks.

>You smile at each other and start walking downstairs.

>Stepping outside, you see a few people scurrying into buildings to avoid the storm.

Vinyl: "So why are we walking in the rain again?"

Anon: "I just felt like wandering around, and I don't mind the rain. It's pretty relaxing to just watch raindrops hit the concrete."

>You both step out and start walking towards the marketplace.

>Because apparently that's the only outdoor location in Ponyville

>Anyways, you pass by a few shops, but nothing to interesting.

>While wandering around and making small talk with Vinyl, you look up and your jaw drops the slightest bit.

Anon: "Woah, check this out! A pastry shop! Let's go get food."

Vinyl: "Sure, Sugarcube Corner is great and gives you a chance to get out of the rain.

>You step inside of the pastry shop and look around and find

>Pinkie?

Anon: "Hey Pinkie, you work here?"

Pinkie: "well duh, Anon, what kind of party host would I be if I didn't have inside sources to sweets?"

>She winks at you and then giggles.

Anon: "Cool, well I'm gonna have--"

Pinkie: "Two blueberry muffins? Sure thing?"

>Your brain takes a second to comprehend what just happened.

Vinyl: "Did she just..."

Anon: "How did you do that? That's exactly what I was gonna get!"

Pinkie: "Me? I just know my audience!"

>She laughs and gets back to getting you your food.

 

A. Eat in Sugarcube Corner

B. Take muffins to go

 

>You shake it off after recovering from your initial surprise.

Anon: "Hey Pinkie, we're gonna go find a place to sit, you can join us if you want when you aren't busy!"

Pinkie: "Okie Dokie!"

>No Loki

>What is this heresy

>You and Vinyl go sit at a table by the front window and look outside.

Vinyl: "You're right though."

Anon: "About what?"

Vinyl: "The rain. It is really relaxing, I never noticed before because I always locked myself in my room with my laptop whenever it started raining."

Anon: "Well I'm glad I could show you something new."

>You grin at her, but she is too mystified by the pitter patter of rain to even notice.

>You turn around, and see Pinkie on her way with the muffins.

Pinkie: "So who's this, Anon? Your new girly friend?"

>Vinyl turns around and nervously laughs, giving the slightest blush.

>You laugh at the sight.

Anon: "Nah, she's my neighbor, I thought she died this morning but really she was just asleep so we went outside for a walk and ended up here."

Pinkie: "Sounds super fun!"

Anon: "Yea, it's a good way to kill time."

Pinkie: "Well I gotta go back to the kitchen and make sure the pastries aren't burning, you two have a good day!"

>Pinkie gives a huge smile as she says her last line and then skips away to the kitchen.

>You and Vinyl eat for a little while and continue to make small talk.

Vinyl: "Alright Anon, I gotta get to work. I'll see you around!"

>She bumps your fist and heads out into the rain.

>Well fuck, alone again.

>Well, might as well walk this lonely road.

>The only road that I have ever known.

>You step out into the rain and walk along the right side of Sugarcube Corner and then head up along the street, until you find a small park with some people standing around.

>You check your phone and see that the time is 2 PM.

>While it's out, you send a text to AJ.

Anon -> AJ (text): Hey, you doing anything? I'm bored.

>You put your phone away and start walking along the bike path in the park.

>This is a pretty nice path.

>I really like the creek that runs along side it.

>It's too bad there is probably nothing down there.

>Wait... Is that Spike messing around in the water?

>Guess there wasn't nothing.

Anon: "Hey Spike! Aren't you a little old to be playing in a creek alone?"

>While you finish teasing him, you walk down to where he is.

>A good look at his face shows that he is not in a joking mood.

Spike: "Fuck off Anon, I just wanna be alone right now."

 

A. Apologize and leave

B. Ask what's wrong

>Your teasing smile turns to a frown.

Anon: "Hey dude, I'm sorry, I didn't know. What's got you down?"

>Spike gives a drawn out sigh and looks up at you.

>You take your shoes off and step into the creek as he starts talking to you.

Spike: "I'm just having a rough time with people. There's this beautiful girl I'm into, but she doesn't even notice, or worse, she just ignores it! The other day, I was trying to flirt with her, and some guy called me a spaghetti lord! I don't even know what that is! It doesn't help that she's older than me though, me being only 17 and all."

>You take a second to comprehend what he just said.

>Time to get your bro on.

Anon: "So you want this girl to notice you? We gotta make you seem mature. Ladies don't want to babysit, they want a relationship. Show her that you can pull through with that! We're gonna work on building your confidence. This girl will be craving the D when I'm done with you, bro."

Spike: "Really? Thanks Anon! You're a pretty cool dude, you know that?"

Anon: "I like to think so. C'mon, lets get you out of here."

>You both climb out of the creek, and get a feel for how cold it is outside when you are wet from the knees down.

Anon: "So who is this girl anyways?"

Spike: "The girl? Her name's Rarity, and she is fucking gorgeous. Seriously, I can't stop thinking about this girl."

Anon: "Oh, it's Rarity? Haven't met her yet, but when I do, I'll start talkin' you up to her."

Spike: "Thanks man, you really cheered me up."

>He gives a smile towards you, and you can tell he's telling the truth, he really does feel better.

>*bzzzzzzzzt*

AJ -> Anon (text): Can't go anywhere right now, but if yah want ah can come on over to the farm."

>She texts in her accent?

>lolwut

>You look up from your phone at Spike.

Anon: "Hey, I'm heading over to Applejack's place, you wanna come?"

Spike: "Sure dude, sounds like a good time."

Anon: "Cool, because I have no idea how to get there and I would have been fucked without you."

>Spike rolls his eyes and laughs at you.

>You two start your way to Sweet Apple Acres.

>And what do you know, the rain's starting to clear up a bit.

(INSERT MOVIE MAGIC HERE)

>Whew! Finally made it to Sweet Apple Acres. And it's only...

>6 PM?

>How slow were we walking?

>[Lazy writing intensifies]

>Looking around, you are blown away by the huge amounts of apple trees.

>Seriously, they're everywhere. Who knew apples were such serious business?

>You walk up to the front door of the house and ring the doorbell.

>A few moments later, A young girl with really red hair opens the door. She looks to be about Spike's age, and has a huge bow on top of her head.

>She stares at you confused for a second, and then seems to connect the dots in her head.

???: "APPLEJACK! YOUR FRIENDS ARE HERE!"

>She looks back at you and Spike again for a minute, and then runs off into the house.

Spike: "Well she seemed... busy."

>Applejack arrives at the door and invites you in.

Applejack: "Oh, hey Spike! Ah didn't know you were coming too!"

>You scratch at the back of your head and laugh quietly as you realize you never told her you were bringing Spike.

Applejack: "Well anyways, come on in. The girl that answered the door is Applebloom, mah little sister. Granny Smith and Big Mac are around here somewhere. Make yourselves comfortable!"

 

A. Socialize with AJ/Apple Bloom/Granny Smith/Big Mac (choose one)

B. Scavenge for dinner food like a raccoon

 

>You walk out into their living room to find an elderly lady with gray hair tied up in a bun sitting on the couch.

Anon: "Hi, I'm Anon. I'm one of AJ's friends, it's nice to meet you."

Granny: "What'd yeh say, yung'in? I'm hard fer hearin' these days, yer gonna have to speak up!"

>You repeat everything you said, only a lot louder.

Granny: "Oh, it's nice tah meet yer! A friend of AJ's is always welcome here!"

Anon: "Well I'm glad to here it. How long have you lived in this house?"

>Granny goes on a long tirade that you would love to listen to, if it had made any sense.

>She seems to start to repeat herself after a while, and forgets that you don't know some details already.

>None the less, you smile and nod, letting her continue her story.

>You glance around for a second and notice Spike running off with Apple Bloom to go do god knows what,

>You can hear their laughter from across the house though.

>Once Granny finishes up your story, you tell her that it was nice meeting her and that you are going to go check on AJ in the kitchen.

>You walk back toward the kitchen, you probably have time before one more conversation before dinner.

>You have a wonderful idea.

>You start creeping towards the stairs, where laughter is being had at the top.

>A devious grin grows on your face.

>Applejack pokes her head out of the kitchen and stares at you with suspicion in her eyes.

>[spoiler]u avin a giggle ther m8[/spoiler]

>You signal at her to keep quiet as you start creeping up the stares.

>At the top of the set of stairs, you see light and giggles coming from the room on your left, which you can only assume is Apple Bloom's room.

>Luckily, they left the door open a bit.

>You peek through the crack in the door ever so cautiously to find...

>Nope. Not underage sex.

>Just Spike and Apple Bloom messing around with what appears to be a Sharpie and an old yearbook.

>What, are they drawing stupid things on people's pictures?

>Well, they seem to be enjoying it enough.

>The whole time you are watching them, the are laughing and teasing each other.

>There are several times where Apple Bloom drops clear flirting on Spike, but it is deflected by his obliviousness.

>This fucking kid, bitching about girl problems and he has a girl melting in his hands like butter without realizing it.

Applejack: "HEY EVERYONE! DINNER'S ON!"

>You run back down the stairs before Spike and Apple Bloom can catch you, and arrive at the dinner table.

>The dinner is fairly uneventful, you met Big Mac and just joked around with everyone.

>The food was pretty good too, Applejack seems to know what she is doing.

>After dinner, you and Spike say goodbye to everybody and start walking back home under the moonlight

>such romantic

B. Let him figure it out on his own

 

Spike: "That was a pretty good way to spend an evening."

Anon: "Yea, that was pretty fun. So what were you and Apple Bloom doing?"

>He laughs a bit and looks over at you.

Spike: "Oh, you know, just goofing off, being dumb teens."

Anon: "Oh yeah? That's cool. She seems to really like you."

Spike: "Yea, she's really cool and fun to hang out with, we are great friends."

Anon: "No man, she seemed to REALLY like you."

>You can physically see the gears starting to turn in his head.

Spike: "You mean..."

Anon: "Yea, she was totally into you."

Spike: "You sure?"

Anon: "Trust me, I'm sure."

>Should you tell him about your spying?

>Not today, you are gonna wait for a better time.

Anon: "So dude? Are you gonna make a move?"

Spike: "What about Rarity?

Anon: "What about Rarity? She doesn't even see you guys as a thing, and becoming a thing would take a good while."

Spike: "So what, I should just give up on her?"

>You sigh.

Anon: "Maybe not give up, but definitely don't think about her. I wanna help you find a girl that will make you happy, and I think, at least at this point in time, Apple Bloom is the better option."

Spike: "...I'll have to think about that..."

Anon: "Alright, take your time. I'm gonna help you either way, that's what bros do. But know I'm not messing with you when I say that if you never did anything with Apple Bloom, you'll regret it."

>He takes the whole conversation in, and then the two of you part ways for the night.

>As you head back up into your room, you think about all that you did today. And you hope all your choices will end well.

>You get up to your apartment and unpack for a bit before heading into your bedroom, where you jump into bed, set your alarm for work tomorrow, and fall asleep to the sound of the last bit of rain coming down for the day.
