Didn't you say you wanted to learn how to roller skate?" Lynn said, trying to pull his sister into the derby arena. >"Yes, but I thought YOU were going to teach me, not some random girl that spends her weekends punching other girls!" >When they finally arrived in front of her new teacher, Linka hid behind her brother. >There she was, Polly Pain and her chin in all of their glory. >"Heya, Lynn, si this is your little sister? So adorable! She looks like a small mouse!" >"And is as strong as one, Polly. Hey, do you think you could teach her the art of roller skating?" >Linka could see a devilish smile appear on her new teacher's face. >"But of course! Come here, baby mouse!" >"Lynn, Lynn, please! This is not what we agreed to!" >"Relax, Link!" Her brother said. "I'll come back in two hours so just have fun."   >Linka was trying to stand around holding herself against the wall, trying not to fall down. >"You shouldn't have wore a skirt, baby mouse, it's not ideal." >"W-we're just going to learn the basics, r-right? N-nothing else." The smaller girl asked. >"You're going to be learning the basics alright. But you know the best way to learn how to walk? To start running first!" >Without any sign or warning, Polly grabbed Linka from the wrist and threw her into the street. >The poor girl screamed her lungs out and, not knowing what to do, began to pray to any god that could hear her. >"Hey, you have to open your eyes!" >"Wh-wha-" >CLANG   >"O-ouch" Linka thought. "My everything hurts. Where am I?" >The girl began to piece everything in her mind. >"Ok, so I'm laying down, ok yes. My head hurts more than anything and... I was roller skating and then that meanie pushed me around and... I should probably open my eyes..." >Linka slowly opened her eyes to discover two black silhouettes staring at her. >"Didn't you say you were going to be careful with her?!" >"It would've been fine if she opened her eyes!"   >The two figures noticed that the small girl was opening her eyes. >"Linka, Linka! Are you feeling alright? How many fingers can you see?" >"T-three and two hidden..." >"Good, you're fine. Come on, let me help you up." >Before he could do that, he hit Polly with his elbow. >"Ouch! I mean, I'm sorry, baby mouse, I shouldn't have pushed you like that." >"My head hurts. What happened?" >"Well, you hit yourself with that sign over here and... well the good thing is that you're a girl..." Lynn awkwardly said. >"What, what does that have to do with anything." >"I... I..." >"He means that you can cover your eyes with make-up." Polly sighed. >"What?!" Linka screamed. She turned around to look at herself in a nearby window and discovered a big black eye. >"Linka, it doesn't look that bad." Lynn desperately said. >But the damage was already done. The little sister began to pout her face. >"Linka, Linka please don't cry! Please stop, I'll do anything if you don't-" "My face!" She cried. >Bitter tears began to roll down her cheeks and her sobs could be heard across the entire building. >"Come on, baby mouse, things like this happen inside the derby!" >"S-shut up! I only wanted to learn how to roller skate, not be thrown against signs and walls! I'm going home!" >She threw her skates away and walked back to the dressing room, covering her face with arm. >"Nice going, Polly. This is the last time I let you take care of one of my siblings." >"Oh, now it's my fault, Mr. I don't want to teach her myself?!" >"I told you I had something to do today! How was I suppose to know they canceled it when I don't have a cellphone?!" >The cries of the girl could still be heard. >"Now she's going to be crying all the way home. Man, I feel like crap." Lynn sighed. >"Yeah, me too. I guess I was too harsh with baby mouse." >After a couple of minutes, Linka got out of the dressing room, still crying her eyes outs.   >"I wanna go home!" >"Alright alright... See you around, Polly." >"Yeah, bye. See ya around, baby mouse." >But Linka puffed her cheeks and looked away. >"Yeah... bye..." Polly said, kicking herself. "Dang it, I should've been a lot more careful with her." >After a couple of minutes, Linka finally calmed herself down, but tears still ran down her face. >"Stop crying, Linka, I'm really, really sorry. I know I said I was going to teach you myself and this is all my fault." >But his sister didn't even listen. >"Aww come on, Linka! I already said I was sorry, what else do you want? I'll buy you a new manga! Is that what you want?" >"I don't want to talk to you right now!" She angrily said. >"Alright, fine..." >When they arrived home, Lynn got in serious trouble. >His parents scolded him for his sister's black eye. >And his brothers? They really made him have it. >He made their precious sister cry and worst of all, made her have a black eye. >That night, however, Lynn was feeling like crap with himself. >He went to Linka's room and knocked on the door. >"Hey, Link? How are you feeling?" >But she didn't answer. >"I have one of those chocolate bars you love to eat. Do you want one? It's the deluxe size!" >A couple of seconds later the door was opened and Lynn got inside. >He saw his sister lying on her bed reading one of her romantic manga covering her face. >"Are you feeling better?" >The only movement she did was to lower her manga to show her face. >Lynn cringed a little when he noticed the black eye got worse. >"How do you think I'm doing?" She said before covering her face again. >"Linka please, I'm really sorry! Forgive me already!" >"Ok, I'll forgive you if you apologize for EVERYTHING!" >Lynn began to sweat. >He knew this was a trick question. >"Dang it" He thought "What is everything?" >"O-ok... I'm sorry for the black eye." >"And...?"   >"And sorry for not teaching you myself." >"And...?" >"And leaving you with such an explosive girl." >"And...?" >"And I'm sorry for being a total jerk." >"And...?" >This made Lynn nervous. He was running out of things to apologize. >What else could he have done? >"I... I..." >Linka finally lost her patience. >"Out." >"Linka, come on, do you want to spend all your time by your-" >Lynn finally figured it out >"Stop. Linka. I'm, I'm sorry, I get it now. You wanted to spend time with me, didn't you? I'm sorry for leaving you by yourself." >Linka slowly put her manga away and looked at her brother. >"Was that so hard to do?" Her eyes began to water. "I just wanted to spend some time with you like we used to do." >"Oh Linka, please don't cry again." Lynn sat beside her and rubbed her shoulder. >"It's been a while since we played together, Lynn. I wanted to be with you but, you sent me with Mrs. violent." Linka said with puppy eyes. >That made him feel even worse, seeing her black eye. >"Oh Linka..." He hugged his sister and lovingly kissed her eye. "I'm sorry." >They stayed like that for a while, the only things that cut through the silence were her sobs and his breathing. >When they finally broke the hug, Lynn finally said "Are you feeling better?" >Linka nodded. >She grabbed the candy bar, broke it in two and gave one to her brother. >"You know, there's this anime currently in the movie theater. Would you take me, Lynn?" Lynn hated anime and their dumb eyes and plotlines. >"Of course, Linka! Anything for my baby sister." >"Thank you, Lynn! I was going to watch it with Clyde, but I didn't want him to see me with a black eye." >"Wait, why would you care what that dork thinks?" >"Well he would get super worried! You know how he is, right?" >Lynn slowly clenched his fist. >"Yeah... You know, ever thought of making more girl friends?" >"You want to make me cry again, Lynn?"   The end.
