(Norman Normal) A new hope [Ch2]

>Norman and Elle began walking towards the nearest park from their neighborhood

>He still didn’t know why he was so nervous or at least he didn’t want to realize

>Not even in Pennsylvania did he have this kind of date

So Elle, my parents told me you come from Maryland right? why did your family moved here?

>”Remember when I told you that this was the only town my father could get a job?”

>”She did mention that, I am such a moron” Norman thought to himself

>”He is a geographer. The mayor of the town heard that he was such an expert on the region, that he hired him”

>”yeah, but he has a strong temperament. He doesn’t like lazy students or companions but once you get to know him he can be pretty cheerful”

Whoa, a geographer. I’ve never met one before. *snicker* I wouldn’t like to meet him, he would be disappointed at someone as bad as me on the subject

>”Really? well then tell me what is your favorite subject”

>Norman told her his favorite subject was the history of the native americans

>He said that he was fascinated by their religion and way of living before the contact with Europe

Let me tell you. Once before an exam, one friend of mine made me read all the books in the library about the Iroquois because she thought I wouldn’t be ready.

Yeah, Twilight can be a pain but in the end, she is one of my only friends here

>The conversation shifted to Twilight’s antics

Yeah, they began calling me a skin head. But not purple, I mean Twilight. She was the only one in my side. She even introduced me to her friends. They are the greatest people I’ve ever known

Oh well, uh, cheer up Elle. Come, Let me invite you an ice cream.

>The strawberry ice cream did cheer her up a little bit

>”this is my favorite ice cream flavour”

>The girl shrank a little while playing with her hair and looking at Norman’s eyes

>”Say Norman, should we go and sit by the fountain?”

Of course Elle. I do love the sound of running water

>The girl then held Norman’s wrist and guided him to a free bench

>There’s no need to say that the boy was blushing like an idiot

>On the bench at the park, Norman discovered that Elle liked videogames too, but those strange japanese role games

>”I could borrow you one, maybe you will like it”

Whichever you choose, it will be fun

>The girl also liked to read, but more than school books or love stories, she rather read fantasy novels

>”you should read more books Norman, they are always good to leave your problems behind for an hour or two”

I’d love to, but every book I try to read, purple gets too excited and she spoils me the ending.

>They shared stories of when they were living in Pennsylvania and in Maryland.

>Talking about their families. How Norman’s father was always entering his room at the exact same time he was sucking at CoD, or how his mother hated Twilight with all her guts

>Before they noticed it the day was already over and the last rays of sun were dying

>Norman then stretched out after after sitting for so long and by accident he put his hand besides Elle, barely touching her

>Embarrassed, he thought of moving it, but he left it there

>Elle didn’t move either

>They looked at each other’s eyes

>She was smiling

>”I, I’d love to Norman!”

I think it is a little late, maybe we should be going

>”I think I want to stay here a couple of minutes more” Elle said while resting her head on his shoulder

>Time passed, and Norman was enjoying this, more than anything in his life

>He didn’t notice that he was speaking his thoughts

It would be nice if you could be my Girlfriend

>Elle, without moving responded

>”well, you could just ask me to be your girlfriend”

>Normal realized what he just said before, it was just a thought, but he couldn’t back up now

>Elle looked at Norman’s eyes and kissed him on the cheek

>”Yes Norman, I will be your girlfriend.”

>This wasn’t the plan Norman thought, with a stupid smile on his face

 

>”Thank you for this wonderful evening Norman, I never had this much fun before in this town”

>”Well, see you around” The girl blushed a little “boyfriend”

>Elle smiled and ran back into her house.

 

>”Yo Norman, back for more wrecking?”

Yeah

>”So how was your gay date?”

It wasn’t, oh fuck it, dude I got news, I have a girlfriend

>”Whoa brah, you finally hit Rarity, congratulations”

Rarity? Oh, no no, it isn’t Rarity.

>”But once I got to know him well, he is charming. He has this stupid obsession with videogames but he can be a magical boy”

>”The other day, he told me a beautiful story from a native american group, and the passion in his eyes made, well, made my heart melt”

>”Yes, but darling, Spike bit his ear when he finished it. You should put a leash on him”

Oh dear. Spike, I swear, next time you bite Norman I will castrate you

>”He was getting too close to Rarity, Twilight”

>”I just don’t know what to do, everytime I try to get closer to him, something happens that ruins the mood”

Hello everyone, we need a favor to ask you

>”Oooh! do you want to have a sleepover?”

No Pinkie. We agreed to never sleep with you after the pizza party incident”

Anyway, we need your help so that Rarity’s feelings can get to Norman.

>”I don’t think she needs us for that, he is always drooling for her” Rainbow Dash answered

You see where I am going? something always happens that stops them having some private time

Yes Fluttershy, I am aware of it. So that’s why we need your help. We need you to be Rarity and Norman’s bodyguards until they are an item

>”No problem Twilight. You know I’ll do everything for a friend” RD said

>”Oh girls, I am so thankful for helping me. Grouphug?”  Rarity asked

>Norman was having a difficult time to sleep

>Brad’s commentary on Rarity left him uneasy

>He could swear that at some points, she was interested in him

>How she helps him when Spike humiliates him

>After all, his first crush in this town was Rarity

>When he reached it he had a received a new message

>”I had so much fun today Norman thank you for taking me out! And I am glad to have such a nice boyfriend, can’t wait to see you again :)”

>After reading the message all the doubts disappeared
