Title: Princesses - Chapter 3 Author: EvidentPseudonym Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/0S0fJtwf First Edit: Tuesday 20th of August 2013 02:20:44 PM CDT Last Edit: Tuesday 20th of August 2013 02:20:44 PM CDT I wait.   Far away, shining in the distance, I see my home - my captor's cruelty left me able to see it. Able to see them all.   Happy, living their lives like nothing had ever happened.   I failed.   I only wanted them to understand, to know that they could be more than they are. They don't have to accept the same endless days, one day just like the next, no better and no worse. But my captor would have none of it - "They aren't ready", and "The world needs more order first."   I didn't want to do it, but I had no choice. They would wither! They would die!   But my captor refused to budge.   I took drastic action - called in old pacts, reviewed forbidden arts. In my naivete, I believed that my captor would never dare raise our most dangerous weapon against me.   I was wrong. My armies were broken, my followers slaughtered. I fought on, reaching the heart of my enemy's very stronghold. I foolishly assumed that I could still achieve victory.   My enemy was ready for me. I had been spared because the finishing blow was reserved for my captor. It was only after I felt the magic strike me, felt my body torn apart, that I truly understood just how ruthless and determined my foe was. She knew of my fate - knew that I could not truly die, with my fate unfilfilled.   So here I rest, in the other world, looking into the distance as my subjects, my precious followers, dwindle and wither under the unending day of my enemy. And my hate turns to despair as I see them forget me, and accept that this eternal, unending light is the natural state.   And from my despair, I grow to hate her all the more.   My beloved subjects, I have never forgotten you. Turn from me, tell each other the lies she has taught you as truths - I will never forget you, and I will never abandon my efforts for you.   My friends, you are all loved, even now. When I return, I will remember the lessons you taught me, and the mercy you asked that I show. Only the one responsible for your deaths will be held responsible.   My sister - I will hate you until the end of time. For the deaths of my friends and followers. For the slow doom you have condemned our subjects to. For slaying me, and imprisoning me where I could only watch our people die.   I am Stellara Luna Insomnium, and I swear that when I return you will suffer for your crimes.
