  2.
  3. >But you had to ask, you had the opportunity to "do great things."
  4. >If you caught her drift correctly.
  5. "Well what do you have in mind when you say great things Twilight?"
  6. >"I'm not going to lie Anon, you're a really cute guy."
  7. >Fair enough observation.
  8. >"A girl like me would do a lot of things to be with a guy like you. But I'm hoping by being a little more... direct I won't have to do something I'll regret."
  9. "So you're saying you... Want to date me?"
  10. >She smiles.
  11. >"Yes."
  12. >Well at least she was direct about it.
  13. >That's more than you can say about a good amount of other girls.
  14. >Before you answer though, you consider Pinkie's reaction.
  15. >Would she be mad?
  16. >More importantly, would Twilight still make fun of her?
  17. >After a quick mulling over, you decide you could handle it.
  18. "Ok, Twilight, I'll go out with you."
  19. >She breathes a sigh of relief.
  20. >"That's great Anon! How about tomorrow at around 5. I know this great little bakery that makes the best cupcakes. It doesn't stay too busy, so it'll be a nice place to talk and get to know each other."
  21. "Sounds great Twilight."
  22. >"Give me a second."
  23. >She takes out a pen and a piece of paper from her backpack and scribbles the address on it."
  24. >"This is the place, I'll meet you there. Sorry I have to go, class starts soon."
  25. "It's okay, Twilight, I'll see you there."
  26. >You begin to walk your separate ways when she turns around and calls your name.
  27. >"Hey Anon."
  28. "Yeah?"
  29. >"Call me Twi."
  30. >You walk off to class with a pep in your step.
  31. >No longer do you know >tfw no qt3.14 gf.
  32. >You've graduated to a higher state of living and any traces of neckbeard that you may have had are now gone.
  33. >All throughout the first half of the day you can't stop thinking about Twi.
  34. >That hair.
  35. >Those curves.
  36. >That adorable face.
  37. >She was a bundle of huggableness.
  38. >Huggableness?
  39. >Maybe you were getting a little mushy.
  40. >But it doesn't matter.
  41. >She's your gril, right?
  42. >You'll talk about your gril when you want to.
  43. >After the first few classes, lunch rolls around.
  44. >You walk through the cafeteria line, pick up something that looks edible, and then begin searching for Pinkamena.
  45. >Just because you're going on a date with Twi doesn't mean you have to break your promises with a friend.
  46. >You scan the cafeteria looking for the pink-haired girl.
  47. >Ah there she is.
  48. >Sitting at a table by herself.
  49. >Not for long.
  50. >You walk over to her table and sit down across from her.
  51. >"Hi Nony!"
  52. >She says this through a mouth of food.
  53. "Hey, Pinkamena, how's it going?"
  54. >She swallows the food so she can talk clearly.
  55. >"Pretty good. Not as many people are making fun of me as I thought would."
  56. "But they're still making fun if you, that isn't exactly 'cool' Pinkanmena."
  57. >"I know, but what can you do?"
  58. >She had a point.
  59. >Sometimes you had to let things die down.
  60. >Which also reminds you: Twilight's the one that started all of this.
  61. >Maybe Pinkamena didn't have to know.
  62. "Hey, Anon."
  63. >Speak of the (beautiful) devil.
  64. >It's Twilight.
  65. >This isn't going to end well for one of three parties.
  66. >You can already tell.
  67. >She sits down next to you and gets close.
  68. >She then looks up from her adjustments and sees Pinkamena sitting across from you.
  69. >Her expression is a slight surprised one.
  70. >"Oh. Hello, Pinkamena."
  71. >"Hello, Twilight..."
  72. >She trails off at the end.
  73. >A silence settles in for a few moments.
  74. >You decide to break the silence.
  75. "So, uh... Pinkamena, how's the baking?"
  76. >"Um... pretty well, I guess?"
  77. >She's still a little quiet, but now she looks more confused than anything.
  78. >Your question was kind of stupid and random.
  79. >You knew that.
  80. >But you were willing to do anything to break this horrible silence gnawing at you.
  81. >You decide to see if Twi has anything interesting to say.
  82. "How about you Twi? Anything interesting?"
  83. >"I was planning on running for class treasurer..."
  84. >Tresurer?
  85. >This could be going somewhere.".
  86. "Why treasurer?"
  87. >"Think about it. How many people do you know run for president every year?"
  88. "Well, now that you mention it, a lot."
  89. >"Exactly! Nobody runs for treasurer, so I'm sure to win."
  90. >Seems logical.
  91. "Good thinking."
  92. >"Thanks, Anon."
  93. >She gives you smile.
  94. >Pinkamena glares at Twi, though.
  95. >You can tell this is going to be rough.
  96. >After a few more minutes of idle conversation and Pinkamena staring, lunch ends.
  97. >The three of you have to go your separate ways for now.
  98. >You say your goodbyes and Twi decides to give you a hug.
  99. >After seeing this, Pinkamena scurries off before you can say anything else.
  100. >Maybe this relationship was going to cause some bumps in the road for the both of you.
  101. >But now wasn't the time to think about that.
  102. >You still had to survive the rest of the school day.
  103. >Your first few classes of the last half of the day swing by fairly well.
  104. >You had a test in one class you feel you did fairly well on, and only had to take notes in the other class.
  105. >The last class of the day is once again psychology.
  106. >There wasn't a seating chart in that class because the teacher believed in some sort of "giving kids freedom will make them behave" load of crap.
  107. >Like teenagers don't just do what they want.
  108. >Anyway, because of this lack of seating chart, Twi decided to sit next to you.
  109. >She sat close to you as she did in lunch and when she found herself comfortable enough, she laid her head on your shoulder.
  110. >You love it.
  111. >It was just so cute.
  112. >You lean your head on her's a little and just enjoy the moment.
  113. >You can feel the warmth coming from her and just love every bit of it.
  114. >It was nice to be intimate with someone for once.
  115. >You aren't sure if you could've been this way with Pinkamena.
  116. >This moment...
  117. >You wish it could last you forever.
  118. >It does last for a while, but eventually the bell rings and school ends for the day.
  119. >You both break apart and just look at each other and smile.
  120. >It was good to have someone.
  121. >You both get up and walk down the hallway side by side until you get outside.
  122. >There you decide to say your temporary goodbyes and head off to your homes.
  123.
  124. >Be Twilight
  125. >Just said goodbye to your qt3.14 bf that you've had your eye on for almost a year.
  126. >After finally removing Pinkamena from the center of the school's attention, you were able to get him to notice you.
  127. >You decided to finally ask him on a date today.
  128. >And he said yes.
  129. >Looks like that direct approach technique was a keeper.
  130. >You spent lunch and psychology class together, but now you had to time to get ready for your date.
  131. >You go out to your car and speed home to make sure you have the maximum amount of time possible to get ready.
  132. >Once you get home you begin to raid your closet for something to wear.
  133. "Come on Twilight, you have to look great."
  134. >You knew talking out loud wasn't exactly a sign of a healthy mental state, but it helped you think.
  135. >After shifting through a few dresses you find the dress you fashion friend Rarity made you.
  136. >It was probably the best bet you had.
  137. >Then again, Anon wasn't exactly a formal guy.
  138. >Plus, you were just going to a bakery.
  139. >Maybe you needed something a little more casual.
  140. >After debating for several more minutes you decide to just go with the same clothes you wore to school.
  141. >You guys were just going to talk anyway.
  142. >Get to know each other.
  143. >It wasn't anything too serious, after all.
  144. >With your wardrobe dilemma solved you have about an hour before your date with Anon.
  145. >You decide it would best used watching your favorite reality show satire, The Real Princesses of Canterlot.
  146. >It was about two sisters that were complete opposites living in a castle together and ruling their kingdom.
  147. >You found the show strangely familiar, but couldn't quite put your finger on why.
  148. >You kill about thirty minutes watching and laughing while elements of any stereotypical reality show were mocked.
  149. >After the show ends you check the time.
  150. >It's 4:50 so you head out the door for the bakery.
  151. >Don't want to be late on your first date.
  152. >It takes only a few minutes to reach the downtown bakery and park.
  153. >You sit in your car and wait for Anon.
  154. >You hope Anon likes your favorite little shop.
  155. >There really was no place out there like Sugarcube Corner.
  156.
  157. >Be Pinkamena.
  158. >You're working your usual afterschool shift at Sugarcube Corner.
  159. >There haven't been many customers to come in and sit down, so your main focus has been preparing the pastries for tomorrow's wedding catering.
  160. >You wish you had asked your new friend, Anon, to help you, but he seems to have found someone else...
  161. >Twilight Sparkle.
  162. >She stole your life and now your only remaining friend.
  163. >To think when you were just falling for him.
  164. >When no one else was there for you, he was.
  165. >He talked to you out of the goodness of his heart and showed you what true friendship was.
  166. >For seemingly no reason, he showed you kindness.
  167. >All you could think was why?
  168. >Why would he be your friend?
  169. >Why did he want to be your friend?
  170. >Why was he so nice to you?
  171. >And, most of all, why would he betray you.
  172. >Why did he have to be with Twilight?
  173. >You saw them after you had left for class, but then went back to ask Anon why.
  174. >You hid behind a corner because you didn't want Twilight to see you.
  175. >You heard how she wanted to toy with you and how Anon refused.
  176. >You were happy.
  177. >But then she had to pull that move on him.
  178. >And he was her's, just like that.
  179. >You couldn't believe it.
  180. >In the blink of an eye you lost your only friend.
  181. >You rushed away before you saw anything else.
  182. >You didn't think your heart could take it.
  183. >You had to sit by yourself at lunch, as expected, which only made you feel worse.
  184. >But Anon came to sit with you, just like he promised.
  185. >You thought maybe he had broken it off with Twilight, so you gave him a warm greeting.
  186. >Then Twilight showed up again.
  187. >Just when you thought you were rid of her, here she is again.
  188. >It was as if she was trying to torture you.
  189. >Anon tried to make the best of the situation by making asking you about the baking for the wedding, but it didn't go over as he had hoped.
  190. >You were too sad to give him a proper response.
  191. >So he spent the rest of lunch talking with Twilight.
  192. >If only he knew how much it hurt you.
  193. >Tears began to well in your eyes while you were waiting on the cupcakes in the oven, but you sucked it up.
  194. >It isn't the time, or the place.
  195. >You'll mourn on your own time.
  196. >The bells on the door ring.
  197. >Sounds like a customer has just entered.
  198. >Time to get to your other job here: waiting.
  199. >You grab your notepad and head out the kitchen door and stop dead in your tracks.
  200. >You can't believe what you see.
  201. >Twilight and Anon.
  202. >Together.
  203. >They're on a date.
  204.
  205. >Be Anon.
  206. >You're on a date with your girlfriend Twilight Sparkle.
  207. >She's led you to this quaint little downtown bakery, claiming they had amazing cupcakes.
  208. >You weren't here for the cupcakes, though.
  209. >You were here to get to know you're gril better.
  210. >You both sit down at a table to get waited on.
  211. >It isn't long before you're approached by a pink haired girl with a notepad, an apron, and a sad face.
  212. >And that's when you realized you were in the bakery that was the workplace of your friend, Pinkamena Pie.
  213. >You could tell by the look on her face, she wasn't happy to see you and Twilight together.
  214. >Despite this, she closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, let's it out, and puts on a smile.
  215. >It hurts your heart to see her fake it like that.
  216. >She approaches the table, her smile still on and says:
  217. >"Hi, welcome to Sugarcube Corner! How can I help you?"
  218. "Uh..."
  219. >You don't know what to say.
  220. >"I think we'll both have sweet tea while we look through the menus."
  221. >Twilight seemed take this rather nonchalantly.
  222. >"Coming right up. I'll be back out in a few moments with those teas. Just let me know when you're ready to order."
  223. >She was so smiley when she didn't want to be.
  224. >That couldn't have been healthy for her mental state.
  225. >Wait a second.
  226. >Twilight's been here before.
  227. >She told you about the cupcakes.
  228. >She had to have known Pinkamena worked here.
  229. >You had to ask.
  230. "Twilight?"
  231. >She looks up from the menu, smiling.
  232. >"Yeah, Anon?"
  233. "Did you know Pinkamena worked here?"
  234. >"Yeah, why?"
  235. >You didn't really want to say it, fearing how Twilight would respond, but it had to be said.
  236. "It's just that you make her uncomfortable after what you did to her."
  237. >She frowns.
  238. >"I did what I had to do for us to be together, Anon."
  239. >She says it so casually it's almost unsettling.
  240. >Maybe even a little...
  241. >Crazy.
  242. >Regardless, you press the conversation on.
  243. "You know you didn't have to bring her down for me to notice you, right?"
  244. >"I know."
  245. >Then why did..?
  246. >"I just wanted to see her squirm."
  247. >Your jaw drops for a second, but you pick it back up before she can notice.
  248. >"You should've seen her face when everyone was crowded around her, mocking her. It was probably one of the proudest accomplishments in my entire life."
  249. >This tears it, the girl's crazy.
  250. >Pinkamena walks out of the kitchen with a small plate in each hand, a cupcake on each.
  251. >She places them down in front of you.
  252. "But we didn't order yet."
  253. >"It's on the house."
  254. >She walks back in the kitchen.
  255. >The smile she wore when she delivered these was almost as devious as Twilight's when she described how she destroyed Pinkamena's reputation.
  256. >Twilight immediately begins to dig into the cupcake, barely leaving any room to breathe.
  257. >You decide to take a bite yourself.
  258. >Twilight has eaten it, so it must be ok.
  259. >You take your first into the pink colored cupcake.
  260. >It's probably the best thing you've ever tasted.
  261. >Like a little slice of heaven was in your mouth and angels danced on your tastebuds.
  262. >It was amazing.
  263. >You hear a loud thus and clanking of silverware.
  264. >You come out of your cupcake induced trance to see Twilight, facedown on the table.
  265. >She's still breathing...
  266. >You think.
  267. >You pick her head up to get a better look at her.
  268. >Her eyes are closed but you can still feel air escaping your mouth.
  269. >You try to put her down gently.
  270. >Thud!
  271. >Oops...
  272. >Your hand slipped and she fell again.
  273. >This had to be Pinkamena's doing.
  274. >You try to get up from the table, but your legs are like jelly.
  275. >You fall onto the floor after tripping on your own feet.
  276. >Numbness comes across your whole body and you rapidly become tired.
  277. >Before you even realize it, your eyes are shut.
