- >But you had to ask, you had the opportunity to "do great things."
- >If you caught her drift correctly.
- "Well what do you have in mind when you say great things Twilight?"
- >"I'm not going to lie Anon, you're a really cute guy."
- >Fair enough observation.
- >"A girl like me would do a lot of things to be with a guy like you. But I'm hoping by being a little more... direct I won't have to do something I'll regret."
- "So you're saying you... Want to date me?"
- >She smiles.
- >"Yes."
- >Well at least she was direct about it.
- >That's more than you can say about a good amount of other girls.
- >Before you answer though, you consider Pinkie's reaction.
- >Would she be mad?
- >More importantly, would Twilight still make fun of her?
- >After a quick mulling over, you decide you could handle it.
- "Ok, Twilight, I'll go out with you."
- >She breathes a sigh of relief.
- >"That's great Anon! How about tomorrow at around 5. I know this great little bakery that makes the best cupcakes. It doesn't stay too busy, so it'll be a nice place to talk and get to know each other."
- "Sounds great Twilight."
- >"Give me a second."
- >She takes out a pen and a piece of paper from her backpack and scribbles the address on it."
- >"This is the place, I'll meet you there. Sorry I have to go, class starts soon."
- "It's okay, Twilight, I'll see you there."
- >You begin to walk your separate ways when she turns around and calls your name.
- >"Hey Anon."
- "Yeah?"
- >"Call me Twi."
- >You walk off to class with a pep in your step.
- >No longer do you know >tfw no qt3.14 gf.
- >You've graduated to a higher state of living and any traces of neckbeard that you may have had are now gone.
- >All throughout the first half of the day you can't stop thinking about Twi.
- >That hair.
- >Those curves.
- >That adorable face.
- >She was a bundle of huggableness.
- >Huggableness?
- >Maybe you were getting a little mushy.
- >But it doesn't matter.
- >She's your gril, right?
- >You'll talk about your gril when you want to.
- >After the first few classes, lunch rolls around.
- >You walk through the cafeteria line, pick up something that looks edible, and then begin searching for Pinkamena.
- >Just because you're going on a date with Twi doesn't mean you have to break your promises with a friend.
- >You scan the cafeteria looking for the pink-haired girl.
- >Ah there she is.
- >Sitting at a table by herself.
- >Not for long.
- >You walk over to her table and sit down across from her.
- >"Hi Nony!"
- >She says this through a mouth of food.
- "Hey, Pinkamena, how's it going?"
- >She swallows the food so she can talk clearly.
- >"Pretty good. Not as many people are making fun of me as I thought would."
- "But they're still making fun if you, that isn't exactly 'cool' Pinkanmena."
- >"I know, but what can you do?"
- >She had a point.
- >Sometimes you had to let things die down.
- >Which also reminds you: Twilight's the one that started all of this.
- >Maybe Pinkamena didn't have to know.
- "Hey, Anon."
- >Speak of the (beautiful) devil.
- >It's Twilight.
- >This isn't going to end well for one of three parties.
- >You can already tell.
- >She sits down next to you and gets close.
- >She then looks up from her adjustments and sees Pinkamena sitting across from you.
- >Her expression is a slight surprised one.
- >"Oh. Hello, Pinkamena."
- >"Hello, Twilight..."
- >She trails off at the end.
- >A silence settles in for a few moments.
- >You decide to break the silence.
- "So, uh... Pinkamena, how's the baking?"
- >"Um... pretty well, I guess?"
- >She's still a little quiet, but now she looks more confused than anything.
- >Your question was kind of stupid and random.
- >You knew that.
- >But you were willing to do anything to break this horrible silence gnawing at you.
- >You decide to see if Twi has anything interesting to say.
- "How about you Twi? Anything interesting?"
- >"I was planning on running for class treasurer..."
- >Tresurer?
- >This could be going somewhere.".
- "Why treasurer?"
- >"Think about it. How many people do you know run for president every year?"
- "Well, now that you mention it, a lot."
- >"Exactly! Nobody runs for treasurer, so I'm sure to win."
- >Seems logical.
- "Good thinking."
- >"Thanks, Anon."
- >She gives you smile.
- >Pinkamena glares at Twi, though.
- >You can tell this is going to be rough.
- >After a few more minutes of idle conversation and Pinkamena staring, lunch ends.
- >The three of you have to go your separate ways for now.
- >You say your goodbyes and Twi decides to give you a hug.
- >After seeing this, Pinkamena scurries off before you can say anything else.
- >Maybe this relationship was going to cause some bumps in the road for the both of you.
- >But now wasn't the time to think about that.
- >You still had to survive the rest of the school day.
- >Your first few classes of the last half of the day swing by fairly well.
- >You had a test in one class you feel you did fairly well on, and only had to take notes in the other class.
- >The last class of the day is once again psychology.
- >There wasn't a seating chart in that class because the teacher believed in some sort of "giving kids freedom will make them behave" load of crap.
- >Like teenagers don't just do what they want.
- >Anyway, because of this lack of seating chart, Twi decided to sit next to you.
- >She sat close to you as she did in lunch and when she found herself comfortable enough, she laid her head on your shoulder.
- >You love it.
- >It was just so cute.
- >You lean your head on her's a little and just enjoy the moment.
- >You can feel the warmth coming from her and just love every bit of it.
- >It was nice to be intimate with someone for once.
- >You aren't sure if you could've been this way with Pinkamena.
- >This moment...
- >You wish it could last you forever.
- >It does last for a while, but eventually the bell rings and school ends for the day.
- >You both break apart and just look at each other and smile.
- >It was good to have someone.
- >You both get up and walk down the hallway side by side until you get outside.
- >There you decide to say your temporary goodbyes and head off to your homes.
- >Be Twilight
- >Just said goodbye to your qt3.14 bf that you've had your eye on for almost a year.
- >After finally removing Pinkamena from the center of the school's attention, you were able to get him to notice you.
- >You decided to finally ask him on a date today.
- >And he said yes.
- >Looks like that direct approach technique was a keeper.
- >You spent lunch and psychology class together, but now you had to time to get ready for your date.
- >You go out to your car and speed home to make sure you have the maximum amount of time possible to get ready.
- >Once you get home you begin to raid your closet for something to wear.
- "Come on Twilight, you have to look great."
- >You knew talking out loud wasn't exactly a sign of a healthy mental state, but it helped you think.
- >After shifting through a few dresses you find the dress you fashion friend Rarity made you.
- >It was probably the best bet you had.
- >Then again, Anon wasn't exactly a formal guy.
- >Plus, you were just going to a bakery.
- >Maybe you needed something a little more casual.
- >After debating for several more minutes you decide to just go with the same clothes you wore to school.
- >You guys were just going to talk anyway.
- >Get to know each other.
- >It wasn't anything too serious, after all.
- >With your wardrobe dilemma solved you have about an hour before your date with Anon.
- >You decide it would best used watching your favorite reality show satire, The Real Princesses of Canterlot.
- >It was about two sisters that were complete opposites living in a castle together and ruling their kingdom.
- >You found the show strangely familiar, but couldn't quite put your finger on why.
- >You kill about thirty minutes watching and laughing while elements of any stereotypical reality show were mocked.
- >After the show ends you check the time.
- >It's 4:50 so you head out the door for the bakery.
- >Don't want to be late on your first date.
- >It takes only a few minutes to reach the downtown bakery and park.
- >You sit in your car and wait for Anon.
- >You hope Anon likes your favorite little shop.
- >There really was no place out there like Sugarcube Corner.
- >Be Pinkamena.
- >You're working your usual afterschool shift at Sugarcube Corner.
- >There haven't been many customers to come in and sit down, so your main focus has been preparing the pastries for tomorrow's wedding catering.
- >You wish you had asked your new friend, Anon, to help you, but he seems to have found someone else...
- >Twilight Sparkle.
- >She stole your life and now your only remaining friend.
- >To think when you were just falling for him.
- >When no one else was there for you, he was.
- >He talked to you out of the goodness of his heart and showed you what true friendship was.
- >For seemingly no reason, he showed you kindness.
- >All you could think was why?
- >Why would he be your friend?
- >Why did he want to be your friend?
- >Why was he so nice to you?
- >And, most of all, why would he betray you.
- >Why did he have to be with Twilight?
- >You saw them after you had left for class, but then went back to ask Anon why.
- >You hid behind a corner because you didn't want Twilight to see you.
- >You heard how she wanted to toy with you and how Anon refused.
- >You were happy.
- >But then she had to pull that move on him.
- >And he was her's, just like that.
- >You couldn't believe it.
- >In the blink of an eye you lost your only friend.
- >You rushed away before you saw anything else.
- >You didn't think your heart could take it.
- >You had to sit by yourself at lunch, as expected, which only made you feel worse.
- >But Anon came to sit with you, just like he promised.
- >You thought maybe he had broken it off with Twilight, so you gave him a warm greeting.
- >Then Twilight showed up again.
- >Just when you thought you were rid of her, here she is again.
- >It was as if she was trying to torture you.
- >Anon tried to make the best of the situation by making asking you about the baking for the wedding, but it didn't go over as he had hoped.
- >You were too sad to give him a proper response.
- >So he spent the rest of lunch talking with Twilight.
- >If only he knew how much it hurt you.
- >Tears began to well in your eyes while you were waiting on the cupcakes in the oven, but you sucked it up.
- >It isn't the time, or the place.
- >You'll mourn on your own time.
- >The bells on the door ring.
- >Sounds like a customer has just entered.
- >Time to get to your other job here: waiting.
- >You grab your notepad and head out the kitchen door and stop dead in your tracks.
- >You can't believe what you see.
- >Twilight and Anon.
- >Together.
- >They're on a date.
- >Be Anon.
- >You're on a date with your girlfriend Twilight Sparkle.
- >She's led you to this quaint little downtown bakery, claiming they had amazing cupcakes.
- >You weren't here for the cupcakes, though.
- >You were here to get to know you're gril better.
- >You both sit down at a table to get waited on.
- >It isn't long before you're approached by a pink haired girl with a notepad, an apron, and a sad face.
- >And that's when you realized you were in the bakery that was the workplace of your friend, Pinkamena Pie.
- >You could tell by the look on her face, she wasn't happy to see you and Twilight together.
- >Despite this, she closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, let's it out, and puts on a smile.
- >It hurts your heart to see her fake it like that.
- >She approaches the table, her smile still on and says:
- >"Hi, welcome to Sugarcube Corner! How can I help you?"
- "Uh..."
- >You don't know what to say.
- >"I think we'll both have sweet tea while we look through the menus."
- >Twilight seemed take this rather nonchalantly.
- >"Coming right up. I'll be back out in a few moments with those teas. Just let me know when you're ready to order."
- >She was so smiley when she didn't want to be.
- >That couldn't have been healthy for her mental state.
- >Wait a second.
- >Twilight's been here before.
- >She told you about the cupcakes.
- >She had to have known Pinkamena worked here.
- >You had to ask.
- "Twilight?"
- >She looks up from the menu, smiling.
- >"Yeah, Anon?"
- "Did you know Pinkamena worked here?"
- >"Yeah, why?"
- >You didn't really want to say it, fearing how Twilight would respond, but it had to be said.
- "It's just that you make her uncomfortable after what you did to her."
- >She frowns.
- >"I did what I had to do for us to be together, Anon."
- >She says it so casually it's almost unsettling.
- >Maybe even a little...
- >Crazy.
- >Regardless, you press the conversation on.
- "You know you didn't have to bring her down for me to notice you, right?"
- >"I know."
- >Then why did..?
- >"I just wanted to see her squirm."
- >Your jaw drops for a second, but you pick it back up before she can notice.
- >"You should've seen her face when everyone was crowded around her, mocking her. It was probably one of the proudest accomplishments in my entire life."
- >This tears it, the girl's crazy.
- >Pinkamena walks out of the kitchen with a small plate in each hand, a cupcake on each.
- >She places them down in front of you.
- "But we didn't order yet."
- >"It's on the house."
- >She walks back in the kitchen.
- >The smile she wore when she delivered these was almost as devious as Twilight's when she described how she destroyed Pinkamena's reputation.
- >Twilight immediately begins to dig into the cupcake, barely leaving any room to breathe.
- >You decide to take a bite yourself.
- >Twilight has eaten it, so it must be ok.
- >You take your first into the pink colored cupcake.
- >It's probably the best thing you've ever tasted.
- >Like a little slice of heaven was in your mouth and angels danced on your tastebuds.
- >It was amazing.
- >You hear a loud thus and clanking of silverware.
- >You come out of your cupcake induced trance to see Twilight, facedown on the table.
- >She's still breathing...
- >You think.
- >You pick her head up to get a better look at her.
- >Her eyes are closed but you can still feel air escaping your mouth.
- >You try to put her down gently.
- >Thud!
- >Oops...
- >Your hand slipped and she fell again.
- >This had to be Pinkamena's doing.
- >You try to get up from the table, but your legs are like jelly.
- >You fall onto the floor after tripping on your own feet.
- >Numbness comes across your whole body and you rapidly become tired.
- >Before you even realize it, your eyes are shut.
