    The Winter's white winds hold an icy cold stare
    The Wendigo watches as bold blizzards blare
    Feeding off stallion's and mare's avarice
    Hatred and sorrow their sugar and spice

    One day to Foal Mountain the Wendigo came
    The bickering of ponies was solely to blame
    The Wendigo whinnied, their white winter spread
    And down from Foal Mountain the ponies all fled
    The cold could not be kempt by Unicorns sly
    Nor pushed far away by the proud Pegasi
    The Earth Ponies planted but found nothing grew
    The tribes split apart in search of lands anew

    Each tribe found a land to claim as all their own

    And caught the attention of the Wendigo
    The winter then harrowed with hail and with sleet
    The tribe's three great leaders froze in their conceit
    But peasants beneath them held to Friendship's glow
    And with it then banished the cruel Wendigo
