2nd Journal of Rain Drop

>Morning Princess!

>So today we went over the feilds to make sure that everything was set in its proper place and what not, no needd to worry as everythings been planted, heck even have some left over seed for all these ponies that keep asking me for more seed for their gardens!

>Was relaxing near the barn door when I was thinking about some of the stuff I need to get for the farm when I spotted a small speck of blue off on the outskirts of the feilds.

>Curious pony as I am I went on to investigate it and found it to be none other than Kaiasha coming to visit!

>Greeted her, gave her a hug asked about how she was doing, and I apologized I hadn't been able to visit as much as I oughta since I was so busy.

>Kai waved me off saying it was fine and she understood after all have to get them plants growing right?

>Before I could inquire as to what else she was up to she asked how the farm was going, if she could have some seed for her own garden and even for some manure.

 

>Well in order to that i told her bout how we're in the mid game of the farming season now, we wait for the plants to grow weed and water em as needed and just wait.

>Which means lots of free time to go out and do things to help around the town!

>As for the seeds I went ahead and started to lead her into the barn to see what we had while explaing what we did for manure of the farm.

>Not sure what Applejack does on her farm, but what we do around here was to make an out house with a slot to cath all the undersibles then draw lots monthly to empty it out and spread it during the winter.

>If it wasn't for Lucy making sure the results were fair I would totally say that John or Sarah was cheating me into doing the most every month during winter when it came round to it.

>Shoveling that stuff sucks!

 

>Kai seemed to be a bit perturbed by the fact that we move poo around but I think it was more 'dang I can't get any in a handy dandy bag to spread withouth thinking about where it came from.' kinda deal.

>At any rate I had to rummage about as she had started listing off these herbal plants that I didn't have till she mentioned tomatoes!

>Now those I do have, luckily enough but Kai then asked what else I happened to have so I had to go and find my ledger for this kinda stuff, pretty lucky of me to snag that extra journal from Schetts stuff before they done away with it really...

>Found it under some logs that I needed to cut up for some projects that I sorta forgot about and rattled off the thigns I had on hand, carrots, strawberries there a few others but Kai wanted those two.

>We talked a bit more about gardening tips, Kai asking for help in raising tomatoes such as using a tomatoe cage, she called em Trellises but I still call em tomatoe cages.

 

>As we were dicussing the merits of having peppers to keep off the rabbits that kept popping up on my farm near the forest Orange came up to the farm as well!

>Orange had been a wandering around oh wait you don't know Orange huh, well Orange is this earth pony mare with an orange coat, well no duh, but also has a nice little white swirl in her mane that looks like a candy I can't recall the name of.

>Anyway, Orange had come over to invite Kai and I to a luncheon at the Diner which we happily accpeted and on the way I wasn't sure if the two had met before so i introduced them.

>Though I did have a bit of an emberassed moment as the two already knew each other it passed soon enough as we went into the diner after trotting through town without much fuss.

 

>Once we got in it seemed like the diner might have been closed though the lights were still on with the tourch light and chandlier still burning so we took a seat and we started to gossip I suppose.

>Told em both about this time I had found this young couple of ponies wasn't sure if they were togetehr or not, Garnent and Cold Front were their names, that had been needing some supplies from the embassy as they hadn't arrived with them.

>What was strange was that Garnent was either teasing the poor colt or was unaware of the shenagins she was doing to him when it finally got to the point they tripped and she had landed plot first on his face and her face in his junk.

>At that point I had to intervene before they got arrested for indecent exposure by giving them a small lecture on the practices of safe sex and making sure your ready before having a kid.

>End result was two red faced, well pink and dark blue faced ponies that were stammering and wanting to disappear into the ground by the time I was done with em.

 

>We all had a giggle about that before Kai brought up something interesting, as of late a lot of the ponies coming to town seemed far more driven to get into each others naughty bits than they are to work or do something productive.

>Which brought the conversation to the topic that Orange professed to not know that much about, estrus.

>Now at this point I would like to say that I was professional calm and collected about it.

>I was not.

>Kai gave me a small evil little smirk when Orange brought it up and I remembered a certain incident down near the river that made me blush and hurreidly push down on my wings to stay still.

>Kai got distracted though as Orange asked for some tips seeing as how she was pregnant and was free of the heat when nature decided to give us all a little visit when it hits.

>After some quick unsexy thoughts involving Able and Glimmer getting it on I manged to settle my wings back in order.

 

>Just in time for Orange to start talking about relationships and hers with Golden which broke off though they are still good friends none the less which is nice.

>I asked why that happened if she were willing and she mentioned she had moved in far too fast with their relationship for it to be stable bonding.

>Before it could shift into doom and gloom Orange perked up asking us if we wanted to hear some great news.

>I was half tempted to just say no, but I didn't want to crush her excitement so I waited for her to go on.

>Orange when she had began to tell us was already bouncing on her seat like a demeneted pogo stick before turning around and showed off her tail

>No not that kind of tail! I swear if a stallion is reading this or certain types of mares...

>On a more related note, ORANGE IS GETTING MARRIED!!

 

>EEEEEeee ok better now, but yeah for reals Orange and Lamon are getting together and I started to ask her about what she has planned so far.

>As Orange detailed how she had the location best stallion and bridesmare planned Kai surprised me by asking about MY wedding

>To be honest I hadn't thought about it that much and I was cuaght off guard.

>I know that Lucy gets a lil antsy whenever we talk about it and I dont wanna pressure her into having a big ol ceremony to just celebrate the simple fact that we already love each other.

>It would be nice to have the bells and whistles that goes with all that pomp but to be honest, I get what Lucy is aiming for.

>I love her.

>She loves me.

>Wedding or no wedding it doesnt change that simple fact.

 

>Sorry I kinda got into it there weird like.

>Despite that, we talked a bit more about what we could do for the wedding when Orange mentioned Bacon wasnt around for somer reason.

>I tried calling out in the diner see if he was about.

>No dice.

>So we decided to head to the Prancing Pony see if it was open.

>Luckily enough for us it was as we opened the door to see a rather bedraggled looking Quicksilver working behind the counter to get something built up.

>Also Coral was there too!

 

>Corals this lil filly of Quick's that she raises with Rosie, shes a small cutie with light blue fur and a strawberry pink mane with amber eyes and she soo small and cute and oh my gosh shes soooo small its cuuuute!

>I sat down near her to try and play with her and say Hi but she backed off a bit and said a word!

>Oh my gosh she can talk ehehehehe!

>Granted I had to play it cool and just stay chill so she didn't run off as she seems to not like me that much but she soooo cute I just wanna pinch her cheeks and blow her belly and run around with her and fly a kite and eeeee so cute!

 

>I had asked about getting a teacher for the foals that are starting to get bigger as Corals already half a year old or so and its only a mattter of time that the other foals will be getting to the age when htey need to be taught the important bits in life or else where would we be when that happened eh?

>Then that sprang up a whole new conversaiont about what to do with the inn bums that dont work in town.

>Only problem I had with that was who would organize it, who would we send em too and where do we get the tools for them to do their jobs?

>Kai had mentioned sending them to fish so they could at least be somewhat productive.

>I mentioned Tide but that just made her laugh a bit which i thought was a tad rude but then Orange got up saying she had to scoot on outta here which reminded me that I had my own obligations to attend to.

 

>So I packed myself up waved bye to Coral, hugged Kai and Quick and soon enough followed Orange out of the Pony to get a order of fence posts at the smithy.

>540.

>540 fence posts is what I need to properly fence off the entiiiiire property!

>This is crazy!

>How in the bleeding nine hells of Tartourus am I supposed to make a fence that huge!!?

>Ugh, at any rate I made the order and left a note for them on the door to read.

>Just hope I dont get the pony irs after me asking why I need that many posts or something...

>After that I went home for the day and tried to figure out where or who to go to for honey.

 

>Ugh, tired lately Princess.

>Member how I had went off to try and look for the honey from last time?

>Well I had tried to find it out in the forest near my farm.

>Turns out that plenty of critters and insects are up and about this time of year.

>Particulary rabbits.

>I HATE rabbits.

>Those no good nasty varmits have been the bane of my exsistance ever since I arrived here in Equestria!

 

>Right back to the tale, so I went out to look in the forest and trees for a bee hive to try for some honey.

>Instead as I was looking amongst the trees from the ground  I had nearly sprained my ankel in a rabbit hole.

>If that wasn't bad enough I then had to endure a five minute lecture by a rabbit about disrespecting peoples homes before I had enough and went on my way.

>Big mistake.

>That buck toothed creature must have set traps for me all over the forest as I looked I swear it!

>Or had just thousands of cousins to trip me up, bushing through some bushes and accidently triggering some kind of pourus plant that made me sneeze in a allergerns season is one thing.

>Having a limb sweep back and knock you out of the air as you try to fly around to find a bee hive?

>I call buffalo #@#@ on that with the rage of a thousands suns.

 

>Then there was the fact that I had landed not in a nice soft patch of shrubbery but instead on top of a hedgehog made it all the more fun.

>The gibbering thing squealed when I landed on it, retracted all its leaves and ran me over in a poor imitation of the boulder from Indianna Jones, er Daring Do I guess would be the proper cultural term for you.

>Whatever, the point is for two hours I had hiked all over the forest it felt like and I have been lectured, sneeze powdered, smacked, and then ran over looking for a stupid bee hive.

 

>When I returned to home I was not entirely all that great a mood, more like I was just tired of everything and I wanted to just sleep.

>Yet as I crossed the final hillock that made the small amount of plains between the forest's edge to my farm house I found some pony tapping at my door.

>Think my vision must have been spotty from that powder as I got closer to find that it was Blue looking antsy about something.

>When I talked with him to find out what he needed I found he wanted his food for the day.

>Jeeze I had nearly forgotten about that at the time, poor guy would have been all alone in the cold waiting for me if I had stayed out longer...

>So I got him his food then he asked for some seed, kinda glad that so many ponies are actually getting some intiative around here and want to grow their own food for once!

>Had to rummage round the work bench to find the seed I had left while I made small talk with Blue before finding out he was going to no longer need my cart for now as he was going to work on his garden for now.

>Which is great as I'm going to need it for those fence posts that I ordered.

 

>After a bit more small talk I waved Blue off as he went to his house, I think he has a house, not sure, I might have to ask one of these days.

>Once he left I turned inside to my house and went to bed.

>Then I had to get out of bed as I was poking Lucy with the twigs that had gotten stuck in my hair which took another ten minutes to do which was torture in and of itself.

>Finally I got to rest my weary head on the pillows which felt like cloud of Nirvanna, which I should try to see if I can use a cloud as a bed.

>Anyway that was the end of the day for me Princess, talk to ya later, Rain.

 

>Allo again Princess!

>Oh man you wouldn't believe it but did you know we had a projector?

>I had nearly forgotten myself when I had saw Boris coming out of the inn one day after pinning up posters telling my workers about the new schdule for work.

>Funnily enough I was told by Able that the west and south feilds were in fact NOT going to be dugged up for the canal project, so yay more work till the third.

>Great.

>But back to the important matter here, I found Boris who was talking about this movie reel he had managed to get importated in from the train and I had a great idea!

>Movie Night!~

 

>Cornering Boris before he cloud slip away like the dirty red he is I talked with him about the idea and found he liked it!

>"In communist 4cannon Movie watches you!"

>Not entirly sure if my message got across, but I took that  as a yes.

>So we went and got the projector that was stashed away in storage from this one room that I don't recall what it was called and started to set it up.

>Movie projectors are weird to set up, you have to set the stand, charge some battery with a burst of magic to get the light to work and then bait the reel through the projector to get the stinking thing to work.

>We tested it a few times to see if we got it only to freak out when ever the reel wouldn't run through or project properly due to the light being weird.

>Boris just got feed up with it and started to smack it before I could stop him shouting, "Equestrian parts, Russian parts, all made in Neighpon!"

>Just as I grabbed him from behind to stop smacking the poor thing it started to work as the movie started!

>Tossing the wrench he was using Boris shouted right next to my ear "Yes! Now we can watch Movie!"

>It was only when I pointed out that it was the practice reel which was a blank film that Boris stared at me with blood shot eyes and pointed at the door for me to go.

 

>Taking the hint I nodded saying I would get some friends for moive night.

>Flying over to the farm I went in to see if Lucy was up for it, only to find her stone cold asleep.

>Even tried rocking the hammock to see if I could get her up but no dice.

>So I went around the town to see who I could pick up, finding Greenhoof drinking some pruno at the square watching the clouds, Feldspar enjoying a walk by herself on Mane Street and in the clouds doing patrol looks like was Phoenix Down Commisar or something with that new name of the guard being changed again.

>Grinning I went to each and instead of wasting time with talking and the busy body of letting them waste their energy to walk there helped them along to the meeting hall.

 

>Arriving with a bang and dropping them all off at the screen that we had fashioned from some table cloth I went into the back to see if Boris was ready yet.

>That damn dirty red was still fiddling with the movie reel!!

>I chided him for taking so long and started to pick one up when he shouted at me "NO ITS FINE. I AM WORKING ON IT. GO TO THE FRONT NOW!"

>There are times when I begin to wonder if Boris is some long lost decendant of a pony kingdom of Luna's era when that Royal Voice was still a thing.

>Couldn't hear a thing for a while, though that faded as the movie came on.

 

>It was nice, about a pegasi that was turned into a pig that flew around in the Mediaquarian and how he used to be one of the best fliers around before getting turned into a pig that could fly.

>There was this one mare an earthie mechanic that worked on his wings as the orginals were lost in a battle with some hot shot Troxten pegasis that wanted to earn a name for himself.

>They had a fight in the air before they ran out of things to shoot at eachother and finally had a mono e mono fight between the two and dang did they get the crap beat out of them when they fought, until near the end this one lady that the both liked came by and told them both to stop being silly and warned them that the po po was on its way to break up the pirates that were there.

>It was a fun movie, even got to talk with Applesis about some of the silly things about the story as more ponies from town trickled in.

>Able tried to shh us but we were whispering so it was fine.

>Once the movie ended I wanted to go for another but the others wanted to savor the movie as it was a really good one that was though provoking to some, specially to Greenhoof who looked like a kid on Hearth's warming eve and he got the best present of all time.

>I went on home after saying bye to everyone and helped clean up a bit in the meeting hall as someone brought drink s and spilled on the floor.

>Boris offered to find another movie reel for another movie night which I thought was awesome of him, you know for a dirty red.

>All in all I think lesson I could get from this Princess is that taking the time to hang out with friends is vital to the health and happyness of the community.

>PS, not to mention that its fun to watch movies as an excuse to have fun, think I'll bring Lucy here on a date ehehe...

 

 

>Journal update of Rain Drop

>Another day another bit eh Princess?

>Sorry for the long pauses between updates not much has been happening lately except for today cuz of some weird behavior with the animals here near the woods.

>Mianly that it feels like something has it out for us here in town.

>Now I'm not saying that someone is out there sending small woodland creatures at us to ruin our livihoods, but I mean come on!

>First it was some minor woodpeckers trying to make a home in the roofes in the town I think or looking for food or whatever the hell it is that woodpeckers peck at wood for.

>Then it was lizards and frogs charging into the main square trying to get into people's homes!

>We managed to get them to stop by picking them up and dropping them off in the river or woods, though a few ponies kinda made a mess of the critters...

>Then the real big bone I wanna pick with someone was the birds that came to visit my farm, first it was a few sparrows then it grew and grew till they went on to wreck my house!

>All my food for the day was ruined!

>They got away with wrecking my house becuase of these crows that were trying to eat the feild which they managed to nom on a fair chunk of it which sucks.

>Luckily Tide was there with some fishes to lead the crows away while Farmerbro and I made a hastily constructed scarecrow to keep the dang varmits off my crops.

>Not that it helped in the end, thats for later though.

>When I went to check on those sparrows they were all in my house making a mess of things that got even worse as Able literally forcechoked one making it explode!

>The bloodstains haven't come out yet, hoping that soaking it a bit might help some.

 

>So that happened, then your not gonna believe this but we had some kind of freak weather system come in!

>Was it nourishing rains that would have made the crops even stronger and fuller?

>Winds that would carry the pollen for my plants to they can fertilzie and make plenty of seed for next year?

>Or even some hail that would cause a bit of minor damage but eventually melt to make the ground moist and fertile?

>Oh no instead we got snow.

>Snow.

>Lemme reiterate this so everyone is clear, snow.

>The hell kinda crack pot operation are you running up there?!

>Sorry its justa pain in the butt that we have to make our own food and all that jazz and then a freaking small event would cause such a issue!

>Long story short and what I heard in the local watering hole was that Liven, a zebra doctor of the clinic, was kidnapped by some weird spirit.

>Now the spirit could have been a normal spooky ghostie but noooo it had to be a heart ached creature capable of spawning blizzards because her feelings were hurt.

Off to the side is a small carticture of a pony with squids around it saying stop spawning squid.

>Honestly I was pretty damn miffed at the whole thing espically when I tried to knock the clouds outta the sky and they kept reforming every time.

>Made me a lil depressed so i went to the inn to try drinking and cheer up, only found this really annoying mare drapping herself over farmerbro.

>That plus the look he was giving me that screamed help me from the impending rape face made my choice for me.

>took a seat in between em and chatted a bit, then Garret I think was her name, was it? Gah I can't remember that well recently...

>Anyway the mare started to do this really dumb thing staring at me and going jiiiii and I mean honestly?

 

>That was dumb, seriously what is this to her an anime or some cartoon.

>So to get her to quit being an autistic fuck I gave her a punch in the face.

>Then she pouted from getting hit mumbled something about me being a bitch and I kinda ripped her a new one verbally before they cut me off the drink.

 

>Then Greenhoof sorta well just picked me up and dragged me off ta the offices on the docks.

>He was talking about some stuffs but I wasnt really paying attention till he brought me back about this cloud stuff and how I was up there all day working on getting the clouds away from the farm.

>I asked him what his point was when he told me that I had said that the clouds had made me feel miserable before.

>Shrugged at him asking what of it, then he hugged me and said that I wasnt acting like me.

>Kinda had a moment of introspection there, he told me to member all my good memories and times wiht everyone here, I did and... well it felt kinda great like a bolt of lightning running through my veins even.

>I hugged greenhoof once I felt better to thank him for helping me with my problem and we went on to the house for that night.

 

>Hrm, think thats everything of note that happened so far, now to talk about the plans for the farm.

>We managed to get a deal for some seed to replace the ones that died in the snows.

>Hauled farmerbro's his share and took my own, right now we're gonna alternate what we grow so as to keep things fresh and fertile.

>Right now we managed to till the land and are replanting seeds, once I get done I'll need to make more scarecrows, I imagine something of 4-5 more will be able to give me enough scare coverage for the fields.
