  1. My name is Anonymous, and I have been brought to your world by unknown means.
  2. >"Wow...what are you? A monkey?"
  3. No, I am a human.
  4. >"What's a 'human', Anon?"
  5. A human is...well...I could show you easier than I could tell you.
  6. I am a human male. There are females that are shaped similarly, but different from us as men.
  7. Men lead, and decide.
  8. >Trixie and Twilight looked at each other and burst out laughing
  9. >"A stallion? Lead? Oh that's rich!"
  10. >They're positively rolling with laughter
  11. What is so odd or unusual about that?
  12. >"This is..."
  13. >"More than unusual here in Equestria."
  14. >So you have come to a place named Equestria
  15. Alright, you just answered one of many questions. My next question: Who runs this county?
  16. >"My! There's a word I haven't heard in quite some time, not even in my books!"
  17. >"That'll be the Princesses!"
  18. >She looks gleeful at this proclaimation
  19. >She stops with realization
  20. >"Trixie, you're not my friend! Why'd you lie?"
  21. >"Because, you're going to be when I tell you...he made me his fledgling!"
  22. >"YOU WHAT?!?"
  23. I did. The poor dear seemed in need of some assitance, she is confused, does not utilize her full potential.
  24. >Twilight snorts
  25. >"Whatever! That's a lie and you know it, Trixie. And a monkey that performs magic? Please-"
  26. Would you like me to show off some of my talents?
  27. >"Yeah right, a monkey performing magic-"
  28. >No sooner had she said this than the words were shot forth from your throat
  29. Videte nunc nec!
  30. >She yelps
  31. >"I can't see! What'd you do!"
  32. >Her eyes were still there
  33. >Well, what do you know
  34. >You chuckle to yourself
  35. Me videre now!
  36. >She howls again
  37. >"I can see! Was that..."
  38. >"Yes, Twilight, it is magic. And I can't say that I'm terribly pleased this creature is able to use it."
  39. >A horse of similar stature to yourself had appeared
  40. >But this one had wings and a horn
  41. >Must be some sort of advanced race
  42. >They might work off of a caste system
  43. Good morn, madame. My name is Anonymous. And I am not here to cause discord amongst your kind, I am here for reasons even I myself do not know.
  44. >"I'm more concerned about you being discord."
  45. >She says this as though it were a being of some sort
  46. >Imagine that
  47. >A being
  48. >Named Discord
  49. >How can that be possible?
  50. How is this possible?
  51. >"Well, we've had an adversary here many years by the name of Discord, and he likes his namesake quite well."
  52. >"He's the reason all three races grew apart into tribals so many years ago.." Twilight added, with some sadness in her inflection
  53. >"Yes. That's quite right. Now, why are you here?"
  54. Well, you see, originally, I was to defeat a dragon that had roosted in the plains, but in my point of origin, those are creatures of pure fiction. Imagine my surprise when I see one...
  55. >Everyone looks around with a grimace on their faces
  56. >The tall one looks on at you
  57. >You realize you are speaking to royalty when you notice the jewels
  58. >"Go on..."
  59. Well, shortly following that, a portal opened, and I awoke in some woods, and ran into...Trixie I believe her name is?
  60. >"I see. Well, I will be requesting politely you come back to Canterlot with me-"
  61. I think your highness means Camelot.
  62. >"No, Canterlot. Camelot's a silly name, everyone knows Camels live in Saddle Arabia."
  63. >Your mind is skewed right now
  64. >You feel as though someone let the king's jester loose
  65. >And told him he may create a world of his choosing
  66. >You shake your head out of these useless thought
  67. Alright, where do I go to this 'Canterlot'?
  68. >"You can take the train. If you tell them it's for royal business, they won't hassle you with a ticket.
  69. >Since I know you don't have a bit to your name."
  70. >Bit
  71. What is a bit?
  72. >Everyone of them looks at you with mouth agape
  73. >"Bits are our currency! Golden bits are the most valuable, while silver ones are really meaningless."
  74. >You shake your head
  75. >This was quite a bit to take in at once
  76. Princess, once I have reached Canterlot, will I have-
  77. >Before you can finish, a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane and tail walks in
  78. >And the most adorable teal eyes
  79. >"Twilight, c-can-*yelp*!"
  80. >She disappears behind her mane
  81. >You stand up slowly, stretching arms toward her
  82. There there, little one. Nobody is going to hurt you.
  83. >She looks up at you
  84. >You run a hand through her mane
  85. >She positively quakes to the touch
  86. >Your heart goes out to such a shy creature
  87. >She seems so terribly innocent
  88. >"It's okay, Fluttershy, he's really friendly, just gotta get past all that...hair."
  89. >They, of course, must be referring to your magnificent beard
  90. >One that might make a dwarf jealous
  91. >Had dwarves existed in your realm
  92. >You doff your hat, and set out for this..train
  93. >What is a train, come to think of it?
  94. >You know what training is
  95. >But train as a noun
  96. >This was a new concept to you as well
  97. >Doors on trees
  98. >Trains that are nouns
  99. >Talking horses
  100. >You are just on a roll today for things that would not exist back home
  101. >Wherever home might be now
  102. >You realize
  103. >Finding a home here may be difficult
  104. >Because they all seem to see you as some sort of animal
  105. >Oh, the irony
  106. >Your tale will be simply too much for the king's heart to handle
  107. >Another thought occurs to you
  108. >How will you get back?
  109. >And did the dragon return with you?
  110. >Or is it still back on earth, and di you fail in your duties to your lord
  111. >No, you performed them to your utmost
  112. >You have no way of being able to recieve punishment as it stands regardless
  113. >You see an iron machine pull into the station, with several coaches behind it
  114. >This must be the train of which her highness spoke of
  115. >You climb aboard, explain to the ticketmaster you are on royal business
  116. >He looks at you funny
  117. >He shrugs and trots down the aisle
  118. >This truly is a wonderous place.
  119. >You arrive at Canterlot
  120. >The entire city appears to be built into a cliffside
  121. >You step out tenatively on the platform below
  122. >You have seen some cliffside cities, but this was unheard of
  123. >You walk uptown to the castle
  124. >The castle itself was quite the work of art
  125. >You marvel at its almost fairy-tale like construction
  126. >It is very well done, and yet tasteful
  127. >You walk into the throne room, and drop to the customary knee
  128. >The Princess looks around confused
  129. >"Uhh...Anon? What are you doing?"
  130. >"He performs the traditional position of Royal Courtesy."
  131. >This voice
  132. >She sounds much like someone you remember from the court
  133. >Always obsessed with the moon
  134. >"Yes, Luna, but why is he doing that?"
  135. >That would explain why, she is like that because her name /is/ Moon
  136. >"Sister, we know this because it has not been done here for well over a thousand years."
  137. >You are getting impatient, your knee upon the cobble floor
  138. Begging your pardon, ladies, but how might I be of service to you?
  139. >"Anon, in your time on this...as you call it, Earth, what was your position?"
  140. >You think briefly
  141. >How to describe this?
  142. Well, you see ladies, my tale is long, sad, but it goes something like this....
  143.
  144. >You are Anonymous
  145. >Back in your own time, in your own place
  146. >You weave this as a story for the royal sisters
  147. >How you arrived
  148. >That fateful day, the King had requested your presence
  149. >This is where it all started to go wrong
  150. >Typically, this meant that bad things were about to occur
  151. >This time he told you he had a new position open within his inner circle
  152. >You graciously accept
  153. >You are now the king's magician
  154. >Being as you lived during a time of much to do with the arcane, it was quite fashionable to have a court magician or magi
  155. >But none of you ever could perform magic
  156. >You all made it appear that you could do this magic
  157. >You had magi beneath you struggling to learn the art
  158. >There was much that needed doing
  159. >Most of your jobs were not so terrible
  160. >You were the one he typically called upon for advice
  161. >One day, however, you were called upon for something more grave
  162. >And your services were needed
  163. >The magical sort
  164. >"We face grave peril from this beast. Can you accomplish this herculean task?"
  165. Milord, I will do my dying best to defend your honor and land. I will go and see what can be done.
  166. >"Excellent! You have my undying gratitude in wait!"
  167. >You walk outside the walls of the city and toward a forest
  168. >You smell brimstone
  169. >This is not good
  170. >You run up with your staff, and as you are about to crown the sleeping beast
  171. >You swallow your fears, and jumped at the beast
  172. >Something is not right
  173. >You feel like you are being squeezed into a rope
  174. >You blank out
  175. >And awaken in a quite different place than when you had fallen asleep
  176.
  177. So dear sisters, that is the tale which brings me to here.
  178. >"Wow...we had no idea that humans were so...similar to us!"
  179. >"We had notions of it too, sister."
  180. I am just one man. I do not know what I could have done, but I would have done it.
  181. >"Well, you'll be pleased to know we've procured quarters for you in Ponyville."
  182. Oh good. When can I go...settle in?
  183. >"As soon as we release you from your interview."
  184. Oh jolly good. Are there any more questions?
  185. >"Yes, just one...would you be comfortable teaching Twilight Sparkle some of your magic too?"
  186. Certainly! I just hope that, in return, she will have something equally important to teach me?
  187. >"Bartering? I like it, so much more intriguing than just an exchange of bits."
  188. >You nod your head graciously
  189. >You bow, turn and walk out of the throne room
  190. >You have just spoken with a princess
  191. >Of horses
  192. >How does this begin to make sense?
  193. >You take the train back to this 'Ponyville', which is evidently where you boarded to Canterlot
  194. >They have some strange names around here
  195. >You set your things up in your home, what little you were carrying when you left on a dresser, and collapse in the bed
  196. >Well, at least something worked out right
  197. >The bed is still scaled to your size
  198. >You find some leftover parchment and quills, and an inkwell
  199. >You decide to write out what you were willing to teach Twilight Sparkle
  200. >And explain your agreement
  201. >By Jove, you are writing a contract for the poor thing
  202. >You tear it up, best not to be so litigatious
  203. >You instead write a list of spells you would teach her
  204. >You are going to enjoy this
  205. >Suddenly, there comes a knock at the door
  206. >It is the shy mare pegasus from earlier
  207. >"Uhm...hello Anon....uhm, I'd like it v-very much if we could *mumble mumble*..."
  208. Sorry, I am afraid I am a bit hard of hearing, could you please repeat that?
  209. >You were being gentle on her, you didn't hear her, and you weren't hard of hearing
  210. >But you were trying to be polite
  211. >After all, you were the visitor
  212. >And they were your gracious hosts
  213. >The faintest scent of musty hay fills the air
  214. >It has been a while since you have smelled that anywhere
  215. >Last time you did, it was when you worked at the stables
  216. >But that was so long ago and you do not recall much of it
  217. >"I-I said, c-can you take me for a n-nice, long r-rut Anon?"
  218. >Oh dear
  219. >It appears this one will not take no for an answer
  220. Fluttershy, is it?
  221. >She nods furiously, with a grin that could swallow the sun
  222. Fluttershy, I do not think you understand. Where I am from, horses were made to be ridden, do not have the ability to speak, and moreover, nobody will engage in the act of coitus with an equine.
  223. >"Oh...m-maybe if I finde y-your fetish?"
  224. >What was she getting at?
  225. >And what was a fetish?
  226. >You vaguely remember reading about it somewhere
  227. >Might have been one of those old libertine books
  228. >Books you were condemned to burn
  229. I do not think there will be any need for that, my dear. Now, if you will allow me to pass, good day.
  230. >You walk past her as though she were an open gate
  231. >Setting off for the library
  232. >This still got you every time, a library in a tree
  233. >You knock on the door
  234. >Twilight opens up
  235. >"Oh, Anon! You're here! Ready to begin our lesson?"
  236. I think I am quite ready to begin the lesson, Twilight.
  237. >You walk in and sit down, after taking off your overcloak
  238. But first, might I ask for a spot of tea?
  239.
  240. END PART 2
