  1. >You are a magician
  2. >The best of your kind
  3. >One of the king's finest magi
  4. >And you are still confused
  5. >You are mulling over the last day's events
  6. >They still befuddled you
  7. >The towns people complained of not being safe
  8. >Whisperings of a dragon around the village
  9. >Your king had sent you to deal with this dragon
  10. >You had scoffed him at first
  11. >Dragons didn't exist....
  12. >Or do they?
  13. >When you arrived on the scene, your nose smelled brimstone
  14. >You should have left then
  15. >You met a foul beast whose breath could have scorched you
  16. >He looked at you, and roared
  17. >Swiping at you with claw and talon
  18. >You feared the worst and that it was over
  19. >A rift must have appeared
  20. >And you found yourself not quite where you began
  21. >You look around
  22. >It's like this place had been crafted from the finest silks of the Far East
  23. >All of the colors vibrant and brilliant
  24. >You have been sent to this place where horses were able to talk
  25. >And they look...quite odd
  26. >As if someone had...bewitched them
  27. >Some of them look like the Pegasus you'd read from mythology
  28. >Others looked like they had a narwahl's horn attached to their heads
  29. >And then there were those that appeared as you'd remembered horses...on Earth
  30. >Or wherever you've found yourself
  31. >Your legs stretch and you begin walking toward the first establishment you see
  32. >You are stopped by a pony with a constellation on her flank
  33. >You bring your hands up and speak your incantation (as if it would work here as opposed to home.)
  34. >But, a great energy enters your throat
  35. >You feel empowered, as you speak the words
  36. Vinctum catenis in!
  37. >Chains appear around her
  38. >Her form looks scared, her cloak and hat on the ground
  39. >She keeps trying to illuminate her horn
  40. >But the poor thing cannot defend herself
  41. >You're then wracked with an epiphany
  42. >An equine that talks
  43. >And moreover
  44. >One with magic?
  45. >You're not sure what's more surprising
  46. >That a horse is here begging for its...her, life?
  47. >Or that your magic actually works
  48. >You reassure yourself that this must've been a fluke of this world
  49. >So you test the next step
  50. >A mind reading spell
  51. >You hope you remember the incantation well enough
  52. >It is a tad more exotic
  53. Milí̱ste to myaló sas!
  54. >And lo, she began to speak her thoughts
  55. >She babbles on how she fears for her life
  56. >She looks shocked
  57. >You decide to listen to what she says, realizing she may well have some sentiment of intelligence
  58. >Imagine such a thing, a steed that can speak its mind
  59. >"Please, I don't care what you do, bearded monkeycorn! Just don't hurt me! Is it my body you want? The great and rut-able Trixie awaits your beckon call!"
  60. >You are intrigued
  61. >She would offer such a thing to you
  62. >You wouldn't ever engage in coitus with an equine
  63. I will not engage in intercourse with thee. But, if you will listen, I'll make an offer to ye.
  64. >"Anything!"
  65. >She's on the brink
  66. Would you like to be my fledgling?
  67. >"An...An assistant to a great practitioner of magic as yourself?"
  68. Yes.
  69. >Wait a moment
  70. How didst thee know of my position?
  71. >"Well, it's an antiquated term but-nevermind, I accept!"
  72. >"What shall I call you?"
  73. Thou shalt call me....Anonymous.
  74. >"Alright, I'll stick wiht Anon for short."
  75. >You chuckle heartily to yourself
  76. >This was going to be the beginning to a rather length journey
  77. >You needed to discover what this place is, who its rulers must be
  78. >There were so many questions to ask
  79. >And you needed to get as much of a start as was possible
  80. >You attempted to mount this 'Trixie'
  81. >She looked at you like you were insane
  82. Do humans not ride you or your kind?
  83. >"Hoo-mans?"
  84. Humans. And, I take it no?
  85. >"No...look, I hate going to her, but we should see my friend, Twilight Sparkle."
  86. >"She'll have an idea of what's going on for you."
  87. >You all start walking toward the nearby village
  88. >You stop as you remember with odd amnesia
  89. >You have not got your staff either
  90. >You will have to make a new one
  91. >You knock on the door to a tree
  92. >A tree with a door was a new concept indeed
  93. >A mare approximately similar in stature to Trixie appears with a beaming face
  94. >"Good afternoon, my name is Twilight Spark-....what are you? And Trixie, what are you doing here?"
  95.
  96. END PART 1
