  1. >It has been almost a week since Stompy moved in with you, and things are going pretty well, so far.
  2. >After the storm passed, you decided it would be a smart idea to go back and recover anything that may have been left of her tent, and what little things she owned. You came across an empty water bottle, two saddle bags, one of which was empty, and the other had two pairs of slippers packed inside of it.
  3. >The tent its self has definitely seen better days at this point. When you found it, it was just a pile of wet fabric laying on the ground, with a few sticks protruding out of it.
  4. >Jesus Christ, she could have been in there if you didn't come along and find her when you did. The what if's are through the roof right now, but thinking about them is bumming you out, so you dump them in the back of your mind for later destruction, via alcohol, and food.
  5.
  6. >Back to your new permanent "guest", however.
  7. >She has been sleeping in your small guest room, which you have not used even once in your time here. Hell, it has pretty much been used as an oversized closet for keeping all of your boxes of crap in, and it has always been a bit of a dusty shithole because you never bothered using it for anything productive.
  8. >Stompy seems to like it, though, which is enough to keep you happy.
  9. >Admittedly, despite her lets say, "different", behaviour, she is incredibly easy to live with.
  10. >She never makes a mess, she always helps you clean up, and she always insists on packing your groceries away, claiming "Even though it's just a simple job, she'd feel useless if she didn't at least do something to help out", and you can't really take that away from her. If she's happy with it, you're happy with it.
  11. >On top of all of this, no matter how much you want to deny it, even her strange little way of doing things, such as the way she almost hops around the house sometimes like the floor is on fire makes you d'aww internally, and sometimes externally.
  12.
  13. >Today is differen't, though.
  14. >Stompy hasn't left the house even once since you offered to let her stay with you, and whenever you ask her to come anywhere with you, she backs away into her room, or into the kitchen, claiming that she "doesn't feel well enough" to go outside when other ponies are around.
  15. >This really boils your piss sometimes.
  16. >You're not angry with Stompy, at all, not even in the slightest, but you are with the way other p0nies have treated her, in the past.
  17. >One step at a time, Anon, one step at a time.
  18. >Today, you are taking your strange purple pony friend to the park, to relax a little, in public, whether she likes it or not. It'll do her some good, you're sure of it.
  19. "Stompy! Come on down, we're going out!"
  20. >"O-oh.. That's okay, Anon.. You go without me, I d -"
  21. >You cut her short, you're not giving in without a fight.
  22. "No excuses, get your ass down here, we're going to the park."
  23. >"B-but there's other p0nies there, Anon... A-and you know I don't do well around other p0nies, and well.. I -"
  24. >You warned her, you really did.
  25. "Right, that's it, I'm coming up to drag you there if I have to!"
  26. >You hear the light "pomf" of her slippers hit the ground as you walk up the stairs, and the sound of four legs shuffling underneath a bed.
  27. >This is going to be entertaining, to say the least.
  28.
  29. >You enter her room, and look around, seeing a pinkish tail sticking out from under her bed.
  30. "Stomp, I can see you, just come out, and go to the park with me, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way."
  31. >"But I don't want to go outside, Anon.. It's safe in here, where there's nop0ny else to laugh at me, and call me names behind my back.."
  32. >Shit, you better tread easily here, you're on thin ice.
  33. "Look, I know it's hard, okay. How about this, we go to the park, and we sit out of the way of everyone, and eveything else, just the two of us?"
  34. >You here a mixture of a whimper, and a groan come out from underneath the bed, and to your surprise, the tail disappears, and after some shuffling, a head pops out, and asks you:
  35. >"Just the two of us?"
  36. "Promise"
