  1. >You are Anonymous the Lich
  2. >You will stop at nothing to annihilate these pathetic ponies and their world.
  3. >The shadows hide your undead form as you stalk the depths of the forest, watching the six… Ponies, return home.
  4. >Even in this place, darkness is an ally, and it lovingly caresses you in its embrace.
  5. >You ooze from the darkest recesses of the trees, and look down from a high branch at the ponies.
  6. >”I dunno Twi, that Anon feller wasn’t what I’d call normal.”
  7. >”I agree, Applejack, but I don’t think we have anything to really go on, do we?”
  8. >That white one is deep in thought.
  9. >Odd.
  10. >You’d taken her for an aristocrat.
  11. >Thinking should be below her.
  12. >”Don’t think for a second girls that he was trying to make friends.”
  13. >Very smart. Would need to watch her carefully.
  14. >”I still don’t like it any though. What’s he doin’ in the Everfree anyway?”
  15. >This Applejack was inquisitive, unfortunately; though a small part of you is glad they’re sharper than they appeared at first.
  16. >This game of shadows would be all the more enjoyable.
  17. >You know enough.
  18. >Fading back into the darkness, you cackle to yourself, your burning eyes the last thing to fade away into the murk of the shadows.
  19.
  20. >It has been two days sense you were approached.
  21. >The ponies know you exist, but know nothing of you.
  22. >While you wished you could erect your tower in silence, and keep the element of surprise, you can be content with the outcome.
  23. >Now, moving your tower?
  24. >That was easy.
  25. >You have sense moved it to a tall cliff-edge, a large meadow out in front.
  26. >Once you have dominated this land, you will have to make this simple tower into a castle befitting your magnificence.
  27. >The ponies would be grasping at shadows and smoke if they tried to hunt you down.
  28. >Perfect.
  29. >You turn from your balcony, and grasp your newly-built Phylactory tightly.
  30. >It is a gilded box, filled with thousands of rare jems, each radiating magical power, rings and various trinkets.
  31. >Few would guess that the Phylactory its self is one of the hinges, made of pure star-metal, wrenched from the heart of this worlds sun.
  32. >Most would shatter the box and destroy the rings and gems, and call it a day.
  33. >Setting it down on your desk, you pull open a scroll.
  34. >You have much work to do.
  35.
  36. >It begins simple.
  37. >You must observe Ponyville, Fillydelphia, the world at large in fact.
  38. >You must learn of this place, learn how it works.
  39. >And once you understand it, you can tear it apart, piece by bloody piece.
  40. >Rising after Nerull knows how long, you stride to your balcony, the rising sun giving little indication as to the time you’ve spent planning and brooding.
  41. >It is the beginning of the end for this world.
  42. >Ironic it is herald by a rising sun.
  43. >The deepening shadows cast by the scarce light accept you into their embrace.
  44. >You move through the dark underworld of Equestria, free of the horrors that plague many other planes in the realm between Light and Dark.
  45. >The world passes in a blurr, as you meld back into reality in Ponyville, hugging to an alleyway.
  46. >The ponies are not about just yet. You don’t expect them too, they are creatures of peace.
  47. >It’s doubtful they’ve needed to raise a militia to force back the eldritch horrors that roam the Multiverse.
  48. >It will make your conquest all the more easy.
  49. >You fall into the shadows again, this time moving for the Library.
  50. >You will take the time to read the books now, to truly get a firm grasp of what there is to know about this world.
  51.
  52. >The Library is host to Twilight Sparkle and her dragon pet.
  53. >You knew she had a dragon, but you did not expect it to be an assistant.
  54. >These Ponies seem odd, to keep such a powerful creature around as a pet.
  55. >If this dragon were to go rogue, he could easily do lasting harm to the ponyfolk.
  56. >You wait in the whispering darkness of the Library, behind the walls in an impossible place.
  57. >Eventually, you watch as Twilight leaves, taking spike with her.
  58. >She seems to be in high moods, along with the dragon.
  59. >Foolish girl, what is there to be happy about?
  60. >Every second her death ticks closer, and she is wasting time on petty emotions.
  61. >You scoff as you bleed from the walls, returning to the true world.
  62. >Your hate for these things grows all the more at their idiocy.
  63. >Such is the folly of the living, however…
  64. >You will enjoy showing them the peace of death.
  65. >But this is musings for later.
  66. >Now, you have to focus on researching this world.
  67. >Runes dance across the floor and float in the air.
  68. >Your arcane power flows from your hands in brackish mists, swirling like oil smoke through the air.
  69. >Books of all sorts fly from the shelves in various sections of the library as you set down to read.
  70.
  71. >Time flies as your memorize tome after tome.
  72. >The Basics of Magic
  73. >The History of Equestria
  74. >The Elements of Harmony
  75. >Bestiary Cryptium
  76. >All sorts of knowledge on this land, Equestria, fills your being.
  77. >Timber Wolves, the correct name for those idiot beasts that attacked you, while silly, is fitting.
  78. >You spend most of the day rifling through book after book, scouring them for knowledge.
  79. >It was only when you reach your last one, that you leave your seat, the book flying away to a vacant position on the shelf.
  80. >You know everything you need to know, for now, a mere four hours later.
  81. >You will return and study every book here eventually, but for now, you have other things to worry about.
  82. >Namely, the small orange pony with red hair looking up at you in fright.
  83.
  84. “What do you want?”
  85. >Your voice is heavy with malice and an ancient severity.
  86. >You are the Eternal Evil of your home.
  87. >You do not see a reason to lessen your contempt for the living based on age.
  88. >With a frightened ‘eep!’ she backs away, slightly, your visage and tone working in tandem.
  89. >”Uhm.. I was just, uh… Finding the new book of Daring Doo!”
  90. >She smiles at you, her eyes wide.
  91. >Disgusting.
  92. “Be gone, whelp, I have no time for your inane mumblings.”
  93. >You glide past, not sparing a second look, and reach into the shadows.
  94. >The darkness leans out to touch you, eager for you once more.
  95. >”Mister..  Uhm.. robes guy?”
  96. >You pause, and slowly turn your baleful gaze upon here.
  97. “What?”
  98. >Nothing but venom in your voice, not a touch of kindness.
  99. >”What are you doing going that way? The door is over-“
  100. >Silence, you idiot beast.
  101. “I do not desire the door, I desire an exit.”
  102. >The tendrils of darkness reach around you, as you melt into the shadows again, leaving a stunned filly in your wake.
  103. >You could not imagine the impact this would have.
