You get some time to hink on what youc an do during the day. >Mess around with Twilight's books and see what you can find? >Play with Fluttershy's pets? >Some ideas turn out great for you while others... don't end well for you. >But hey, at least you have fun with it. >While walking, you notice a strange looking pony sitting on a bench. >She is playing on a handheld (hoofheld?) console, like the Game Boy back on Earth. >God, you miss playing that little thing. >You walk up to her to get a better view of her. >She is wearing a skullcap and a hoodie, though they're both in terrible condition. >Did she dumpster dive for those or something? Rarity would be pissed if she caught this pony wearing clothes like that. >Under the hoodie, she has black hooves and tan fur. >She also has hair strands that are dyed green. >You sit besides her, but she kept her eyes on the game. >You notice that her cutie mark is an upside down, black ace with needles sticking inside. >The hell does that mean? >... >... Well, this is awkward. "So... what are you playing?" >She is still playing that game. "Um... excuse me?" >She turns her head towards you. >"What?" she said. >... Woah. >She looks pretty cute. "U-Um... Hi?" >She turns her head back to the game and continues playing. >Fuck. >Well, not the first time you've spilled some spaghetti. "I asked what you're playing." >"... A game," she said. >Mental facepalm. "Does it have a name?" >"... Power Ponies and the Attack of the Rock-Taurs." "Do you like it?" >"It's okay, I guess... This is my fifth time beating it." "Fifth time?" >"Yeah. Fastest time I beat this was an hour and fifteen minutes, but... I think I can get a better time."   "Do you play any other games than that?" >She shakes her head. >"Yesterday, I got this from a little kid when he wasn't looking-" "Wait wait wait, you STOLE that?" >"I... plan on giving it back," she said. "How do you plan on giving it back when you don't know where the kid lives?" >"... I-I'll find a way..." >You might have an idea of who she stole it from. >You decide to not press on this further and ask a different question. "What's your name?" >She doesn't respond and kept playing the game. >You cough to get her attention. >"Oh... it's um..." >She drifts off back to her game before she could tell you her name. "It's...?" >"... Bambi. It's Bambi." >Bambi? Nothing long, like Pinkie Pie? "That's a nice name." >"T-... Thanks. What's yours?" "You can call me Anon." >"... Cool." "Where did you get the clothes from?" >"I... just picked them up," she said. "What do you mean?" >"I've been wearing this for... I don't know." "Well, it looks like you need some new clothes. I have some extra clothes back at my place." >"... I'm fine." >You get up from the bench and extend your hand to her. "Nonsense. It's not healthy to walk out looking like that." >She pauses her game and looks up to you. >She has nice golden eyes. >She then puts the gaming console in her torn hoodie pocket and puts her hoof on your hand. >You could see little red marks on her wrists, but you paid no mind to it. >Maybe they're from playing games too much? >You pull her up from the bench, and the two of you walk together to your house. >...   >There is an awkward silence when the two of you are walking to your home. >Fuck it, you want to know her more. "So Bambi. What do you do when you're not playing your games?" >Bambi keeps her head down and kept walking. >"... Nothing really. I just... walk around Ponyville... that's about it," she softly said. "That's it? Don't you get tired of that? >"... Sometimes." "Well... you do have a home right?" >Bambi doesn't move her head or respond to you. "Bambi?" >"N-No..." >You raise your eyebrow. "Wait what?" >"M-My parents... I didn't like them... so I moved out," she said. "Why?" >"..." >Maybe you can ask why later. "... So is the name Bambi a nickname or...?" >"... I like the name Bambi." "But, do you have a real name? Because that sounds like a nickname." >"... I don't want to talk about it..." >You shrug. "Okay then." >The two of you arrive to your home. >Twilight helped you out by getting this average home. >What a good friend. >You unlock the front door, open it, and walk inside with Bambi following you behind. >You lead her to your dusty living room. "Just wait here. I'll see what I have that you can wear." >Bambi nods, sits on the sofa, brings out the gaming console, and resumes playing. >Well, someone else's game.   >... Right. Clothes for Bambi. >You head upstairs to your room and look in your drawer. >You placed all of your clothes that were from your luggage in here. >... You remember walking to an airport with your luggage on one hand and your suit on the other. >You were headed home to see your family. But, you had a massive headache and blacked out. >When you woke up, you found yourself in Equestria. >Man, you wish you could see the look on those ponies' faces when they saw a human for the first time. >Twilight and her friends helped you out when you arrived. >When you ask Twilight how you got here, she said that even she doesn't know. >You sigh and look back to your original objective, which was getting Bambi new clothes. >You rummage through the drawer and pick up two pieces of clothing: a hoodie and a skullcap. >The hoodie is colored pink with a skeleton print on it. There is also a broken heart on it. >Where and why did you pick this up? Was this for a friend back on Earth? >You can't remember that much. >The skullcap is green and has a triforce emblem on it. >You always liked the Link series back home, but you were never a big nerd about it. >Both the skullcap and the hoodie look like a good fit for Bambi. >But you'll have to give it to her so she can try it out. >You bring the hoodie and the cap with you and go downstairs. >Bambi is still playing the game on the sofa. "Hey Bambi, look over here." >Again, she keeps playing. >You cough to get her attention. >"O-Oh. Sorry," she said. She pauses the game and looks at you and the clothes. >She gets off the sofa to get a better look at the clothes. >"Are... these for me?" "Yep. I don't plan on wearing those anytime soon, and they look like a good fit for you. Here, come with me to the bathroom. You can change in there to see how it fits."   >You lead Bambi to your bathroom. >When you and Bambi make it, you hand her the skullcap and hoodie and open the door for her. "You can leave your old cap and hoodie out here when you're changing." >She nods and walks inside the bathroom with the clothes. >You wait for her outside of the bathroom and begin to think. >Why the name Bambi? And what's wrong with her and the parents? >And why do you have this odd feeling that she has been stealing just to make a living? >After a few minutes, Bambi opens the door and shows herself. >Oh wow. "Wow, those look pretty good on you. How do they feel?" >"... They fit nice. And they're better than the... old clothes that I had." >You look over her shoulder and see the old and dirty skullcap and hoodie that Bambi was wearing on the floor. >"These socks are a nice fit also-" "Socks? What sock-" >You look over her hind legs and see long, green and white striped socks on each leg. "Where did you get those?" >"... They were in the hoodie. The hoodie pockets... Why? Do you... want them back?" >You have to admit. Those look pretty good on her. "Uh... no. No, you can keep them." >"Are you sure?" "Yeah. They look good on you." >Bambi slightly blushes and looks away. >"T-Thanks..." "You can also keep the hoodie and the skullcap." >"... R-Really?" >You nod. >Bambi goes up to you and gives you a hug. >"... Thank you... Anon." >You hug her back. >...   >Bambi lets go of you and looks away. >"So um... again... Thanks." "No problem, Bambi." >"I guess I should get going... Don't want to keep bothering you." "It's fine. It's just nice to meet you." >She weakly smiles at you and walks towards the door. >When she puts her hoof on the door handle, you get a better view of those red marks. >You widen your eyes when you realize what they are. >They're cut wounds. Self inflicted. >Bambi looks back at you and frowns. >"... What's wrong?" >You shake your head. "Nothing. I uh... remembered that I had to do something for... Rarity yeah!" >Bambi weakly nods, "Okay..." >She then walks out the door and closes it behind her. >... >Maybe you should get to know her more tomorrow.
