- Well here's the pic first off. I actually got this commissioned. http://i.imgur.com/obThHua.png
- [22:32] <Chinook> That's Sir Landslide. Here's his story.
- [22:33] <Chinook> So you know the Hearth's Warming Eve episode right? The three tribes, looking for a new land, all that business? Well, Landslide was the personal bodyguard of Chancellor Puddinghead and the General of the earth pony armies. A mountain of a pony with herculean strength.
- [22:34] <Chinook> When the earth ponies were heading down south they were harassed by a large griffon tribes. The Bloodbeaks.
- [22:35] <Chinook> These Bloodbeaks picked away at them, harassed them, nightly bandit raids all that mean business.
- [22:35] <Chinook> Then they stopped.
- [22:37] <Chinook> So eventually some scouts reported that they had had enough of simply picking away and decided to amass one grand attack. They were coming down in full strength. This information gave the earth ponies time to erect some kind of defense, nestled in a mountain pass. Fort Snowtail.
- [22:38] <Chinook> It really only had one purpose. Allow for safe passage of the civillians and the nobility (Puddinghead and Smart Cookie) amongst them whilst most of the soldiers remained behind to hold the line as long as possible.
- [22:40] <Chinook> Landslide was in charge of the defense. The pic actually takes place before the Griffons attack. The Earth ponies held out for a month against the onslaught. But they fell. This however had almost ruined the Bloodbeaks, scattering their remainders and giving the civillian earthies the time they needed to escape to the south. To Equestria.
- [22:40] <Chinook> Some say however, that in this lost, ruined fortress. Landslide and his soldiers still hold the line. Even in death.
- [22:40] <High_Tide> hmm
- [22:41] * Chinook is all nervous.
- [22:43] <Chinook> I mean if it WAS a 4C quest I was actually gonna include a prelude quest. DD bandits looking for this fortress. Someone would find the notes on the leader's corpse.
- [22:45] <High_Tide> First I want to say it's a fantastic setup for a dungeon crawl, but I feel like it would be wasted on 4C
- [22:45] <Chinook> Hmm....Lucy said that too.
- [22:45] <High_Tide> well, no, wasted is a very negative term
- [22:46] <Chinook> I see what you mean though
- [22:47] <Chinook> I was thinking, armored hollow/draugr like enemies with swords, spears bows. Remember this is a fortress. Designed to keep people out, so plenty of traps too.
- [22:47] <Chinook> Oh and Landslide was the boss of course.
- [22:47] <Chinook> Would shout about damned griffons as he fought the party in his echoing, distorted voice.
- [22:48] <High_Tide> see, that's fucking awesome
- [22:48] <High_Tide> but for a game on 4C that's not even designed to have adventures?
- [22:48] <Chinook> Yeah...
- [22:52] Channel names begin with # (corrected automatically).
- [22:54] <Chinook> You know, all this time, I've been in the stairway leading up to the moonlight butterfly. And I ran past the stone guards. There's one in the archway just looking at me.
- [22:54] <Chinook> 2spooky
