The old tomb spoken of in the tales. The tomb of Dawn Singer. The rumours were true, stubborn door kept us occupied with that damn riddle. I mean seriously, the answer after all that was APPLE.   I feel I have to do this. Sure, this is a place for the dead to rest but I can trace my lineage back to the Blood Beaks themselves, a shameful chapter of the Gryphon's proud history. If what they say is true then Dawn Singer lost her husband to an attack by my own ancestors and I feel I need to pay my respects. Sitting on my bed and saying sorry just won't cut it. This has to be one of the hardest laying of a wreathe of flowers I've ever done.   They say that this tomb was built shortly after the unification treaty was signed millenia ago, to honor Dawn Singer. She was one of the unsung heroes of yore who sought unification between the three tribes. She can be found in the history books if you look far enough, but she's often overshadowed by Smart Cookie, Clover the clever, Commander Hurricane, all those big shots. Mostly because she never succeeded in bringing them together, despite her best efforts. We do know she had a brother who, unlike her, was a Unicorn. He apparently led a group of warriors and was quite fearsome, but a noble knight nonetheless.   ------------ tears and unmarked stains make the rest of this page illegible -------------------   We're inside and we've encountered yet another damn riddle door. Luckily, Soto the Zebra had this one in the bag and we proceeded, I didn't like the skittering I hear in the walls though when he took that key though, looks kinda like a shellfish. I wonder what it unlocks? Soto said he hopes it helps finds the means to get rid of that accursed ice wall we stumbled on in the southern tomb. I can see where he's coming from, these two places have got to be linked somehow but for what reason and why, we may never know.   And if what they say about "A treasure so dear to her." is true, then I'm not sure we should know. Some things are better left undisturbed.   ---------------- rips and bloodstains cover the rest of the journals' pages -------------
