- Chapter 22
- >You’re not exactly sure what to believe right now.
- >Especially the whole raping you while you’re asleep.
- >But you’ve had these sorts of dreams before.
- >Never quite as vivid.
- >But it makes sense.
- >You hear Discord out.
- >”We’ve run into a problem and it’s delaying your rescue.”
- “Come again?”
- >”Chrysalis has partially destroyed one of the elements of harmony. You remember, she turned the other half of the Element of Kindness to obsidian?”
- >You nod.
- >”We trying to reverse it but so far no luck. That’s put a damper on things. You see, none of the other Elements will work until we make Kindness whole again.”
- “Why can’t Celestia use her magic?”
- >”Chrysalis is growing stronger from stealing energy from you two. Right now, she’s more powerful than both Luna and Celestia combined.”
- >Well that sucks.
- >”What about you? Aren’t you a god?”
- >You stare at Mara.
- >”Yes?”
- >”Why aren’t you just storming in here? Can’t you just destroy all of the changelings?”
- >”My magic is limited right now.”
- >Your stare shifts to Discord.
- >Limited?
- “What are you talking about?”
- >”It’s rather hard to explain.”
- >”Just tell us the short version.”
- >Discord sighs.
- >”Chaos can only exist if there is harmony to wreak havoc on.”
- >You’re getting tired of never understanding anything.
- >”I can only use the magic of chaos if there is harmony. Since the Elements of Harmony aren’t whole, there is no harmony to be found. No harmony? No chaos.”
- >Damn.
- >”That sucks.”
- >”Yes. It quite unfortunate.”
- “So... where does that leave us?”
- >”It leaves you stranded here until we can find a way to fix the elements and rescue you.”
- >You groan.
- “Isn’t there anything else? Like... fuck, didn’t Cadence and Shining Armor stop them before?”
- >”If Princess Celestia and Luna aren’t powerful enough, Cadence and Shining Armor won’t fare much better.”
- >You grumble.
- >You can’t just give up.
- >”Can’t we get help from somewhere else in Equestria? Or maybe even outside of it?”
- >Discord shakes his head.
- >”Your only shot at escape is the elements. The magic of friendship is quite possibly the only thing powerful enough to stop Chrysalis and her army.”
- >Fuck.
- >”We’ll keep working on repairing Kindness. But for now, you’ll be stuck here.”
- >You let out a scream of frustration.
- >”We’re doing everything in our power, believe me.”
- “Believing in you doesn’t get me out of here.”
- >Discord sighs. He undoes Mara’s bindings.
- >”I know, things are looking bleak. I’ll be popping in every now and then to give you an update.”
- >You nod.
- >”Also, one last thing... we can’t let the changelings know I was here.”
- >Discord kicks Mara to the ground and surrounds him with a cloud of smoke.
- >”This is just a suggestion, but you two might want to take up roleplaying.”
- “... what?”
- >”Mara, make sure to transform into me and take my spot.”
- >Mara growls.
- >Wait, what is he talking about?
- >The walls around you start cracking.
- >”Anon, don’t freak out. Just relax.”
- >The world around you starts to fade.
- >Discord sighs.
- >”You know Anon... you really are quite lovely...”
- >The dream collapses.
- >You feel a sharp pain in between your legs.
- >Your eyes fly open.
- >Discord is on top of you.
- >Inside you.
- >Oh god.
- >He clamps his paw over your mouth and gives you a wink.
- >He pulls out.
- >A sudden flash of light illuminates the cave.
- >It quickly dissipates.
- >You open your eyes slowly.
- >Discord slides his cock back into you.
- >”Anny...”
- >What?
- >You stare at him.
- >Mara?
- >Fuck.
- >Mara slams himself into you and puts his mouth to your lips.
- >You feel his beard tickle your neck.
- >You let out a soft muffled moan.
- >You break away from his kiss.
- “Y-you’re... so dead-ahh... after this.”
- >Mara ignores you.
- >”Sorry Anny, but you’re just so... captivating.”
- >He even sounds like Discord.
- >This is so... bizarre.
- >He’s hitting you deeper than before.
- >It feels... good.
- >Fuck.
- >His arms grab your hips.
- >You shudder.
- >This is ridiculous.
- >You focus on breathing.
- >Clearing your mind.
- >You ignore everything.
- >And hopefully this will end soon.
- >The occasional feeling of pleasure creeps up on you.
- >But you shut it out.
- >This is not how you want to be woken up.
- >Or how you want to be treated while you’re sleeping.
- >And you most certainly are not going to enjoy it.
- >Mara finishes up and cuddles against you.
- >You let him.
- >You just focus on breathing.
- >You aren’t going to get angry at him.
- >Or Discord for that matter.
- >You’re just happy it’s over.
- >”It’s just some roleplaying... you don’t have to get all worked up about it.”
- >Easy for him to say.
- >He’s never on the receiving end.
- >Mara transforms back into his usual ghostly self.
- >You hear footsteps just outside the door.
- >It’s Bambi and Nemo.
- >At least, you think it is.
- >You can’t tell.
- >The defining traits they had are completely gone.
- >In fact, they look bigger to you.
- >”Are you-...”
- >”-alright?”
- >Wait, what?
- >They can talk now?
- >Their voices are dry and airy.
- >As if their throats had holes in them.
- >Somehow, you’re not very surprised.
- >Mara laughs to himself.
- >”That’s a first.”
- >You scowl.
- >He’s definitely reading your mind again.
- >They glare at him.
- >”We have-”
- >”-a request for-”
- >”-the human.”
- >They’re speaking in that annoying manner where they finish each other’s sentences.
- >You roll your eyes.
- “Alright, shoot.”
- >”Will you-”
- >”-feed our young?”
- >You blink.
- >What?
- “What do you mean by feed?”
- >”Give them prana.”
- >Prana?
- >”Make them strong.”
- >They bow their heads to you.
- >You blink.
- >You aren’t sure this is a good idea.
- >The two of them nearly killed you moments ago.
- >Or... however long ago it was.
- >You had no idea how long you were asleep.
- >You look at the two changelings.
- >”See them.”
- >”Give them strength.”
- >They’re bowing towards you.
- >Eyes closed.
- >As if they were begging.
- “I-...”
- >You don’t know how to respond.
- >They raise their heads and look at you.
- >”You understand?”
- >”Our young need food-”
- >”-and if we do not give them nourishment-”
- >”-they... will die.”
- >You stare at them.
- >What?
- >You freeze.
- “Die?”
- >Your voice is shaky.
- >One of the pair goes back to the tunnel.
- >And they return.
- >With a tiny little changeling, carried by the mouth.
- >Its eyes are clamped shut.
- >It’s so fragile looking.
- >Weak.
- >Nemo, or Bambi, you can’t tell which, sets the tiny creature on the bed in front of you.
- >You can’t look away.
- “How do I even...?”
- >Nemo... you think it’s Nemo, grabs your hand with his hoof.
- >He gently pulls it to the child changeling.
- >You’re inches away from touching it.
- >Nemo lets go before you do.
- >You hand hovers for a moment.
- >Touch?
- >You have to touch it?
- >”Makes sense...”
- >Mara says.
- >Fuck.
- “... if I do this, I want the two of you to answer a few questions. Truthfully.”
- >They nod.
- >You take a deep breath and reach out.
- >You carefully place your fingers on its back.
- >Almost immediately, feel your energy being sucked away.
- >Not as quickly as before.
- >But you can slowly feel yourself growing tired.
- >You can see the changeling squirm under your touch.
- >You hold your breath.
- >Is what you’re doing even working?
- >Its eyes slowly flutter open.
- >It yawns.
- >And looks at you.
- >You see a fang slowly grow from his mouth.
- >He gives you smile.
- >You breathe.
- >Okay...
- >”You okay?”
- >Mara asks, placing a claw on your shoulder.
- >You nod.
- >”Then let go.”
- >What?
- >”He’s fine now. Let go.”
- “He’s not-... I have to-”
- >”There are millions of changelings in this cave, and more hatching soon. You’re going to kill yourself doing this.”
- >You shake your head.
- >”Let go.”
- >You reluctantly pull your hand away.
- >The changeling shakes its head, and tries to stand.
- >It stumbles, nearly falling off the edge of the bed.
- >You grab it, and pull it towards you.
- >Mara sighs.
- >”Fine... don’t listen to me.”
- >You won’t.
- >You pull the changeling into your arms, and give it a hug.
- >When they’re so helpless like this... you can’t help but feel sorry for them.
- >You keep him in your arms for a few minutes.
- >The holes in his legs start to patch up.
- >His fangs become razor sharp.
- >And he grows.
- >When he gets to be the size of a large dog, you put him down.
- >He shakes his head again.
- >Looks at you.
- >And gives you an affectionate lick on your face.
- >”Thank you.”
- >He gallops away down the tunnel.
- >You stare at him until you can’t see him anymore.
- >You fold your arm over the other, rubbing it nervously.
- >It’s all about survival.
- >Survival.
- >That’s why they want you.
- >That’s why you’re here.
- >You shudder.
- >The death of millions of changelings?
- >That’s a huge burden.
- >You almost want to sympathize with Chrysalis.
- “... so about those questions.”
- >Mara?
- >You let your thoughts resonate in your mind.
- >He looks at you.
- >Good, you have his attention.
- >’Relay the information to Discord... or whoever.’
- >He gives you a light squeeze on your shoulder.
- >”Ask what you want.”
- >”We shall try to answer.”
- >You don’t know what to ask.
- >You have so many questions.
- >You take a deep breath.
- “Well... I’m getting sick of calling you Bambi and Nemo, so let’s start with your names?”
- >”We do not have titles.”
- >Really?
- >”You are free to call us however you like.”
- >You start thinking.
- >You’ve never named anyone.
- >Let alone a changeling.
- >Changelings were sort of scary to you.
- >Not that they looked scary.
- >But they had the power to be anything they wanted.
- >Maybe you should give them some quirky, badass names?
- >You point to the shorter of the two.
- >Bambi, you guess.
- “Feral.”
- >The other.
- “Eisen.”
- >You look at them.
- “That okay?”
- >They look at each other, shrug, and nod.
- “Anything I should know about you two?”
- >Eisen jerks his head to the other.
- >”He’s a soldier.”
- >Feral looks at his friend.
- >”She’s a worker.”
- >She?
- >You facepalm.
- >How the fuck are you supposed to tell the difference?
- >”They’re changelings? Maybe you can ask one of them to change their voice?”
- >You look at Mara.
- >You know, that’s not a bad idea.
- “Can you do that?”
- >Eisen nods.
- >You hear a screeching noise coming from her mouth.
- >”Is this suitable?”
- >She sounds much softer.
- >You nod.
- >It’ll do.
- “Okay... another question. Do changelings feed on anything else other than love?”
- >They tilt their head.
- >Feral nods.
- >”We feed only on love.”
- >Okay.
- >That’s what you were expecting.
- >Though you were hoping that they would eat up hate.
- >Or friendship.
- >Twilight and the others have loads of that.
- “If something happens to Chrysalis, what will happen to you?”
- >They narrow their gazes at you.
- >”Nothing will happen to our Queen.”
- >You gulp.
- “H-hypothetically speaking? I just want to know...”
- >Eisen glares at you.
- >”One will take her place and continue as she did.”
- >”Though it will never happen because NOTHING will happen to our Queen.”
- >You’re surprised.
- >Is it really that simple?
- >You were expecting something like, “if Chrysalis is dead, we would die too.”
- >Isn’t that how a hive works?
- >Kill the head, the body dies?
- >That’s what would have happened in a movie or novel back on Earth.
- >You frown.
- >This complicates things.
- ”Can-... are you able to transform into other things? Besides ponies?”
- >They look at you and take a step back.
- >One of them transforms into a young dragon, similar to Spike.
- >The other one morphs into you.
- >You stare at your copy.
- >Shit.
- >That really complicates things.
- >You look at them carefully.
- >Feral’s copying your every move.
- >Is that really what you look like?
- >You feel kind of embarrassed, seeing your naked body move that way.
- “One... one last question.”
- >They flash green, returning back to their normal bodies.
- “Can you overfeed on love? Or maybe store up on it?”
- >If so, you’d graciously donate all the love you could.
- >Though you have no idea how you would do that.
- >Your fingers are crossed.
- >They look at you carefully.
- >”No.”
- >...
- >Shit.
- >They want to keep you forever.
- >Or at least until you die.
- >That... sucks.
- >You sit in silence for a few moments, taking it all in.
- >Hopefully Mara’s paying attention.
- >A thought passes through your head.
- “Wait, hold on. Why do you need Mara then?”
- >The changelings look at you.
- “You can absorb love from me directly. Why did Chrysalis want to use an incubus?”
- >”We... do not know.”
- >You feel uneasy.
- >They don’t have an answer.
- >It’s bothering you.
- >Why would Chrysalis use Mara?
- >If every single changeling could just steal the love straight out of you, why bother having Mara at all?
- >You look at Mara with concern.
- >Is she planning on using him?
- >You can almost hear her saying something.
- >Always two steps behind.
- >Did she plan for this from the start?
- >Mara doesn’t seem phased by this at all.
- >”I’ll be fine Anon. Just worry about yourself.”
- >You open your mouth to retort.
- >Just then, your stomach growls.
- >You sigh.
- “I’m sorry, one more... what’s for breakfast?”
- >Feral disappears.
- >He comes back with a stone bowl filled with leaves and small berries.
- >Fantastic.
- “You wouldn’t happen to have any strawberries, would you?”
- >Feral shoots you a look.
- >You give him a shrug.
- >Eh, you tried.
- >”I will search for them.”
- >Really?
- >He disappears down the tunnel.
- >You smile.
- >At least they were trying to be hospitable.
