  1. Ask Me Anything, Twilight Sparkle
  2.
  3. "Anon, what is 'Feminism'?"
  4.
  5. You blink. That's an incredibly loaded question to answer, especially when talking to a female pony. Mare. Whatever you call it. You pause for a moment to think. And you think about a lot of things.
  6.
  7. How exactly do you explain human things to Twilight?
  8.
  9. More importantly, how is it that you have managed to give her a satisfactory answer for all of her previous question. She's a pony with an insatiable desire for knowledge, while you're just a common, average person that just doesn't really care about anything. How could you possibly relate to her and be stupid enough to answer her questions?
  10.
  11. "Feminism is... Feminism is a mode of thought." You say. Pretty argument neutral if you do say so. "It's both a rational and irrational way of viewing modern life from the female perspective."
  12.
  13. "Rational and irrational? How so?" Twilight looks at you very interestedly. Her eyes are watching you intently, as if she's trying to peer through your eyes, into your brain, to see your gears turn and how you think.
  14.
  15. You pause again. You have to make this simple enough to understand and broad enough to cover almost everything so she doesn't keep asking questions.
  16.
  17. Twilight seems to have become a little impatient. "Is this something I should take notes on?"
  18.
  19. "No, it's just really hard to explain. Just give me a moment." you stall just for a few seconds. "Humankind has had a really... questionable history. It has a few elements similar to that of Equestria, but a lot of it has to do with past civilizations living a male-dominant society. Men were oppressive to women, thought they were superior, just because they were more physically capable."
  20.
  21. "Just because you're able to handle hard labor doesn't make you better." Twilight interrupted.
  22.
  23. "You're right. But for humans, men were forced to do more to ensure the safety and survival of humans as a species."
  24.
  25. "More?"
  26.
  27. "Humans have a 9 month pregnancy period. Women are incredibly vulnerable in this state. This means that men have to be proactive and do stuff while their significant other is harboring a child." You explain. "Additionally, humans, when newly born, are incredibly useless. We don't learn how to walk or talk until a couple years after."
  28.
  29. "Well, ponies are sort of the same... but please, continue."
  30.
  31. "Because babies are so vulnerable, it's typically the mother's duty to properly nurture them until they become functional. And while the mother's are raising the child, the father's are doing nearly everything else. This is the foundation of which the male-dominant society came from." You pause again. "You know, this is a really difficult question to answer. Feminism is usually a female topic... it's hard for men to relate."
  32.
  33. "Well, the way you explain things is interesting."
  34.
  35. "Thanks, I guess." You shake your head. Why are you even doing this again? "Anyways, human males have had more time to do more things. And after a while, they became unhappy. They wanted to do more than just provide for their families... and they did. They started doing terrible things, things that should be crimes against humanity. Crimes against existence. And many of those harmful things were to women."
  36.
  37. "... I suppose these things are a taboo?"
  38.
  39. "Yeah. Not a topic for normal conversation." You reply. "Only recently have women gained the authority and social acceptance to be considered equals to men. So in light of that, Feminism was born to keep men from wronging women."
  40.
  41. "Okay, so that explains the reasons. But what is it and what makes it so rational or irrational?"
  42.
  43. "Feminism is a pro-female mindset. Female accomplishments are perceived as more impressive than male accomplishments. Any wrongdoing from men demands severe punishment and compensation."
  44.
  45. "..." The purple pony went quiet, eyes looking away at nothing in particular.
  46.
  47. "It's rational in that there are many unfair things happening to women today. How would you like it if someone paid you less than a man for the same amount of work?"
  48.
  49. "I suppose I would find that unfair." Twilight said, crossing her arms over each other.
  50.
  51. "Exactly. Stuff like that is exactly why feminism has completely valid points and justifies it's thought. But..."
  52.
  53. "But?"
  54.
  55. "Some feminists take it too far. They accuse men of wronging them even when it's completely unfounded, and they use principal concepts from history as their reasons. Even when an action has no particular effect on them directly. It can get a little ridiculous.
  56.
  57. "Wow, that's uh, interesting." Twilight said. "Equestria is almost a polar opposite. Though I haven't found anypony being an advocate for... masculinism."
  58.
  59. "Yeah, well... a lot of that probably has to do with Princess Sunbutt."
  60.
  61. "Who? You mean Princess Celestia?"
  62.
  63. Shit, you didn't mean to say that out loud. Twilight stares at you with a disappointing look. You quickly utter an apology. "Sorry."
  64.
  65. "Okay then. I just have one more question for you."
  66.
  67. "Shoot away." you say uninterestedly.
  68.
  69. "What is 'ecstasy'?:
  70.
  71. Wat?
  72.
  73.  I know that it's supposed to be an extremely pleasurable feeling that you experience, but from what I've read, humans seem to be referring to it as a physical thing, not a feeling."
  74.
  75. "... another time."
  76.
  77. "But you just said 'Shoot away'!"
  78.
  79. "Another time Twilight."
  80.
  81. Twilight scoffs. "How typical of a male. Hoarding information and refusing to tell a mare." You give her an empty stare.
  82.
  83. She giggles. "I'm joking. You can answer my question tomorrow."
  84.
  85. Fantastic.
