These rooms will slow us down..." "Not if we split the ones we can. You get all of the unmarked rooms, and I'll get all of the One and Two doors." >With that, you turn to the closest door, a Level 2 door. >... >The task was a bit tedious, but the two of you eventually got through it. Only four rooms weren't able to be opened: two Level Three doors, a Level Four door and a Level Five door. >Oh, also, there are a lot of pitfalls. >Considering everyone here beside you can fly, you assume they were there specifically for you. >Surprisingly enough, most of the rooms were regular storage rooms, devoid of anything useful to you. >Some of them had useful things; you grabbed those. >Actias looks bored. >"Can we move on now?" "That's quite the attitude coming from someone who can't even defend herself." >She looks... flustered? >"We don't have time to waste with this!" >You get down on a knee and stare straight into her... sunglasses. "I only have one life. Same with you, same with Hexferry, same with everyone in this building. If I get captured or killed, you don't stand a chance. I don't know if Hexferry could do the entire mission on her own, but I know it'd be near impossible. We didn't search the rooms for fun, we searched them to be more prepared, so we can actually succeed." >... She wasn't able to match your stare. Partway through, she had to take a step back. >You stand back up and turn to the Level Two door to the next room.     "Wait here, I'll be back once I make sure this next room is safe." >She nods dejectedly. >"At least I'll have a lot of rooms to hide in if anyone comes by." >With that, she waves at you, and you enter the next room. >... Your gun was readied, but your mind was not. >The room itself is incredibly tall, but there isn't much room to move, because the middle is filled by an aluminum tower. >... Strapped to that tower is a brown moth stallion... with six legs. >He appears to be unconscious. >Many wires wrap around the tower as well, going in several directions as the tower ascends. >... You hear a few hoofsteps on the other side of the tower, but you can't see who's making them. >"So... you're the famous Anonymous Snake." >An old-looking tan and brown moth stallion comes into view between some of the legs of the tower. >It's somewhat difficult to see him through all of the wires. >You point your tranquilizer at him. >He isn't even looking at you; he simply spins a gun on him hoof and keeps walking slowly around the tower. >"I've waited a long time for this fight, you know." >You start walking around the tower as well, so he doesn't get any closer to you. "Who are you? How do you know my name?" >"We know more about you, Anonymous, than you could ever imagine. You've been through a lot, and you've thwarted many groups on your missions." >He shouldn't know that, unless he's worked with the group you're a part of. >If he did, that means they knew you'd be here on this exact day. >"I am Revolver Tarkin." >In one swift motion, he catches the gun and fires at a wall. >... A bullet flies right under your nose, barely missing your mouth.     >You heard several pings on metal when he fired... >Did he... reflect that shot off the walls? >He points the gun at the moth strapped to the tower. >"Do you know who this is? The President of ArmsTech? His name is Pepper Dust. He's the reason you're still in this building, right?" >... If that is the President of ArmsTech, he's correct. >"Do you feel safe pointing that puny tranquilizer at me? Certainly it isn't worth the effort of not breaking a wire." >... Why would you care about breaking a wire? >You glance to where they specifically connect. >On the inner parts of the tower are several unmarked explosives, all of them are connected to the wires. >Something tells you breaking one of them would be the last thing you ever do. >"What do you think, Anonymous? Can you beat an old moth like me? Let's find out!" >He turns to look at you, but he fires in a different direction. >You jump to your right, narrowly dodging another bullet. As you roll and get back up, you hear him laugh. >Your heart races as you carefully aim through the wires of the tower. >You fire and the dart hits him straight in his back. >"Ah, your aim is good, Anonymous! It'll take much more than that to wear me down!" >He spins around and shoots at another wall. >The bullet grazes your legs and you wince at the pain. >If you just stand here, you'll be dead long before he passes out. >As another bullet flies by, you roll behind a leg of the tower. >Your eyes dart at the patterns of the wires, and you jump from your cover to shoot another dart into the old moth. >A sharp pain enters your chest as a bullet hits you. >You grit your teeth an fire a few more darts into the old moth.     >He coughs and stares at you. >"My bones are already so sluggish, do you wish to stop my heart?" >Both of you run to the same side of the tower. >There are no wires between you. >His revolver is pointed directly at you, while your tranquilizer is pointed directly at him. >You see the trigger tightening and jump back into a backflip. >Your legs connect with the wall behind you, and you push off it to do a frontflip, landing on your feet. >The old moth is trying to reload his revolver as fast as he can, but he's having trouble lining up the bullet, with how many tranquilizing darts he has sticking out of him. >"Ah, I haven't felt this thrill in years!" >You dash toward him, as he flips the bullet and gun into the air. >The bullet lines up with the barrel perfectly, and it descends to his hoof, ready to fire. >Fortunately, you're upon him; you grab him by the torso and flip him over you. >His gun goes off; the bullet bounces off all of the walls, impossible to keep track of. >As you slam him onto the hard, metal floor, you see a spark in the air. >The bullet hit something, but... you can't see what it hit. >Sparks start flying off the tower. >Metal scrapes against metal, as more sparks fly all around the room. >A giant cut appears in the wall next to you. >You jump to your feet and look to the ArmsTech President. >He's been freed of his bindings and he falls toward you. >Your arms shoot up to catch his odd figure; you stumble back at his weight. >A groan to your side reminds you of Tarkin. >The old moth gets back to his hoofs and readies another bullet to load. >However, the bullet gets cut in half.     >He jumps back in shock and looks around the room. >The tower's legs have been cut many times, readying it to topple at any moment, yet none of the wires have even moved. >... A silhouette of a pony is covered in electricity, slowly becoming more visible. >It's the same cyborg from before. >... Upon closer inspection, they don't have any wings. >"So you're Snake..." >It's the same cold, metallic voice from before. >Before anyone is able to process what's happened fully, the tower starts to give away. >You carry Pepper Dust out of the closest door. Neither Tarkin or the cyborg pony go this same path. >The door closes behind you as you keep running. >You hear a loud explosion behind you, and the entire floor shakes. >... After making sure you're safe, you set down the ArmsTech President and sit next to him. >He's breathing, that's a good sign. >... The room you're in isn't the warehouse you left Actias in. This must be the other of the tower room. It's... just a hallway so far. >... You should save. >-Call: Amata- >"Snake, you have the President of ArmsTech! All you need to do is get out of there!" "Yeah, but I'm pretty deep in this place now, and there's probably no way back." >"Do not worry, Snake, we are here for you all the way." "Right... Tell the Colonel to find a quick way out for me." >"I will. Do you wish to save?"   >Game Saved.   "Stay safe, Snake." >-End Transmission- "... What now..."   >Current Inventory: >Tranquilizer(40/46) >Pistol(46/46) "Book"(1/5) Stun Grenade(5/20) Remote Explosive(3/16) >Level 2 Key Card. >Codec Options: >Colonel Minty. >Cejire. >Amata. >Hexferry. >Current Objectives: >Get Actias and Pepper Dust to safety.
