  1. >The cool autumn breeze brushes against your face, send a small chill down your spine.
  2. >Celestia lets a tiny shrill as the same gust beats against her.
  3. >Taking off your jacket, you awkwardly try to place it on her.
  4. >It's rather hard to pull of since the jacket is intended for humans and not ponies.
  5. >She giggles as you give up and just hang it around her neck.
  6. >"Thank you, Anon," she mutters, a rosy tint spreading across her face.
  7. >Scratching the back of your head, you chuckle and avoid eye contact.
  8. "It's no big deal."
  9. >The park was abnormally quiet, even for this time of night.
  10. >Normally ponies would be walking to their homes, using the small walkway as a shortcut.
  11. >But that didn't really matter to you right now.
  12. >What mattered was that this date HAD to be perfect.
  13. >And what better way to have a first date than a dinner at a nice family restaurant and a walk in the park.
  14. >Thing is, this night couldn't be going any worse than it already was.
  15. >Not only were you late to pick up your date, but you just had to spill your plate of spaghetti all over her at dinner as well!
  16. >Celestia leans her head against you, nuzzling your arm with her nose.
  17. >"I wouldn't want you to get cold either," she coos.
  18. >Swallowing hard, you look around to make sure no one is around.
  19. >You wrap your arm around her shoulder and bring her in closer.
  20. >She emits a purring hum, looking up at you with her eyes glistening in the moon's light.
  21. >Her face is almost completely red at this point as she stares in your eyes, not taking a second to remove her gaze.
  22. >Leaning your head down, you find yourself inching closer and closer to her face.
  23. >Her hot breath beats against your face, smelling of a mixture of mint and lavender.
  24. >Your heart beats faster, knowing where this is going, but your brain is still trying its best to register everything.
  25. >The air grows still as you reach ever closer to her face, lips puckered and eyes closed.
  26. >Before long, the light, warm press of lips is against your own.
  27. >For what feels like an eternity, you hold your position and open an eye to peek.
  28. >Tears flow down her cheeks, leaving an unsettled feeling in the pit of your stomach.
  29. >Releasing the kiss, the princess looks up at you with a beautiful smile.
  30. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you or anything! Please, don't cry!"
  31. >Celestia giggles as you pull out a handkerchief and wipe the tears from her face.
  32. >"Anon, please calm down. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm just happy, is all."
  33. >Happy? About a kiss?
  34. >A bit cliche in your opinion, but who are you to judge.
  35. "Happy about what?" you question, putting the cloth back in your pocket.
  36. >She turns her head away, avoiding your sight.
  37. >"It's... nothing."
  38. >She turns back to you, smile still protruding across her face.
  39. >"All I do know is that I had a wonderful time tonight, all thanks to you, Anon."
  40. >Your stomach untangles as a smile sneaks onto your face.
  41. >Wrapping your arms around her neck, you embrace her in a tight hug.
  42. "I'm glad to hear it."
  43. >Letting go of the mare, you stand up and offer your hand in assistance to help her off the bench.
  44. >She extends her hoof and you lift her up, bringing her to her hooves.
  45. >As Celestia climbs down from seat, she looks up to the sky and lets out a content sigh.
  46. >"I must be getting back home. Will I... see you again, maybe?" she mumbles, trying to hide her embarrassment.
  47. "Of course," you reply with a nod.
  48. >With a nod, she spreads her beautiful wings and takes to sky as you begin your venture home.
  49. ______________
  50.
  51. >Waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning would normally send you in a blistering fury, but you were in just too good of mood to care right now.
  52. >Throwing off the covers, you jump from your bed and walk into the bathroom to perform your usual morning routine.
  53. >Once done, you put on a fresh set of clothes and head off to start your day.
  54. >Walking down the path on such a beautiful day was practically a blessing.
  55. >The sun was shining brightly, but gave off a nice, subtle warmth that was comfortable.
  56. >Over the past few days, it was rather hot, even though it was fall.
  57. >Passing by the usual stands, you give your morning hellos and waves.
  58. >But something was off today.
  59. >The ponies were acting differently around you.
  60. >Some mockingly, some nervous, and some cold, even.
  61. >Walking over to Roseluck's stand, you lean in and look at the flowers.
  62. "A nice batch you got today?" you comment, trying to make small talk.
  63. >"Sure is," she says bluntly.
  64. >Looking up from the plants, you make contact with a deathly glare from Roseluck.
  65. >Backing away from the stand, you continue your venture towards the large library down the street.
  66. >The streets of Canterlot were rather "chatty", today.
  67. >Whispers and murmurs course your ears as you walk down the brick path.
  68. >"How dare he defile our princess!"
  69. >"I wonder what their foals would look like?"
  70. >"He's kind of cute now that I take a look at him."
  71. >With breakneck speed, you reach the front door of the building and enter, slamming the door behind you.
  72. >Twilight looks up from her desk, glaring directly at you.
  73. >"Anon, what have I told you about slamming the door?" she whispers in an annoyed tone.
  74. >Ever since Twilight took the position of librarian in Canterlot, your visits have been nothing but nagging and moaning.
  75. "I'm sorry, I was just trying to get off the streets," you gasp, trying to catch your breath. "All the ponies are talking about me and I'm getting mixed results about their comments."
  76. >"Well, you are the talk of the country right now, it would seem," she says with a blush.
  77. >Twilight hovers a newspaper over to you with her magic aura, displaying a huge picture that makes you almost swallow your tongue.
  78. >Displayed in big, bold lettering, the title reads, "Celestia and Anonymous - A Strange Pair in the Making!"
