1. >Day two of estrus.
2. >You are Anonymous.
3. >And you are bored as shit.
4. >This excess magic bullshit was starting to piss you off.
5. >You were exhausted last night, and sleep had come easy enough… for about two hours.
6. >So you’ve just been sitting here for the past… eight or so hours, wide awake.
7. >That’s not entirely true, actually. You did get up and explore the cave a little, but since it was pretty much pitch black, it didn’t seem like the best idea.
8. >So you ventured outside of the cave instead.
9. >The night sky here was much more beautiful than back on earth. The moon… the stars… like everything else here, they were so much brighter.
10. >You would have liked to stay out there longer, but it was getting way too cold so you were forced to retreat back inside the cave.
11. >Of course you aren’t entirely without company. Maya’s been up nearly as long as you. Still… she isn’t exactly the best conversational partner. So your mind has been set adrift across various trains of thought.
12. >One that kept popping up, though, was Celestia. Or more specifically, what she was currently doing. She never mentioned if the estrus cycle affected her, but you assumed it did.
13. >A horny sun goddess alicorn. Now that’d be interesting. Magic and wings… she could probably have just plucked you out of the car and had her way with you if she really wanted.
14. >Then again, she’s probably been through enough of them to be able to refrain herself from becoming like the other mares did under the effects of estrus.
15. >You chuckle a little at the thought of her hand… err… hoof cuffed to a bed, you’re not sure why that popped into your head but it did.
16.
17.
18. >For how old she is, she still has one of the best looking flanks you’ve seen (Yes this thought does make you feel weird inside, but it’s been a while since you first got here, and after seeing nothing but p0nies, you do start to notice the more attractive features on them). Spitfire’s was nice, but it was too small, whereas Celestia’s was just perf…
19. >A rather loud noise from Soarin brings you out of your little day dream, maybe you’ll have some company now.
20. >…
21. >Aaaaand he’s gone back to sleep.
22. >Fuck.
23. - - - - - -
24. SOME TIME LATER
25. >SA: “Is he still sleeping?”
26. “Yeah...”
27. >It’s been an hour or so since Shiny got up, and you two haven’t exactly been quiet, and yet... Soarin still slept.
28. “You wanna... wake him up?”
29. >SA: “It would be my pleasure.”
30. >A pale pink aura surrounded Shiny’s horn and a megaphone formed in front of him... this oughta be good.
31. >He brings the megaphone to his mouth and creeps up on Soarin.
32. >He turns to face you. “May want to cover your ears, Anon.”
33. >You nod and cup your hands over your ears, bracing yourself for whatever Shiny had in store.
34. >He takes a deep breath in, “WAKE UP SOARIN YOU LAZY BUCK!!”
35. >Oh God your ears...
36. >The cave lets out an angered groan as Shiny’s shout seems to echo on forever. The sounds it’s making unsettles you a little. The cave that is, not Shiny. Though it is rare to hear him swear.
37. >The echo fades along with the groans from the cave, leaving you and Shiny staring wide-eyed at Soarin, who… is… no way.
38. >There is NO FUCKING WAY he is still asleep.
39. >…
40. >Yeah, he is.
41. >Well…
42. >That was anti climatic.
43. >SA: “…How?”
44. “I don’t know, man…”
45. >SA: “Is he… is he dead?”
46. “Uhhh… nah, he’s still breathing, look.”
47. >You point at Soarin’s stomach. It rises and falls calmly.
48.
49.
50. >SA: “C’mon… wake up.”
51. >Shiny raises a hoof and nudges Soarin with it.
52. >Soarin’s eyes snap open in an instant.
53. >Soar: “G-g-g-ghost!”
54. >Before you can even process what he’s said, Soarin takes off at fucking Mach 1 and rockets deeper into the cave, leaving you and Shiny standing there, mouths agape.
55. >SA: “Well, that was…”
56. “Unexpected?”
57. >SA: “Well… yeah.”
58. >You both stare blankly at the last spot you had seen Soarin, only to see him return a few moments later.
59. “What wa—”
60. >He shoves a hoof in your mouth before you can finish your sentence.
61. >Soar: “We aren’t alone in here.” His voice was nothing more than a hushed whisper; you lower yours to one as well.
62. “So there are more mares in this tunnel?”
63. >Soar: “What? No. I’m not sure man, but I think I saw diamond dogs.”
64. >Aaah yes, the bi pedal creature everyone is so quick to compare you to. You’re a little sick of it all to tell the truth.
65. “So do we… leave?”
66. >Soar: “Nah, let ‘em come. We can take any dog any day.”
67. >He suddenly jumped straight in the air and was halfway out the cave before you realized that Maya was where he was standing, wearing what you swear was a doggy-grin.
68. >Soarin floats back, glaring red-faced at Maya. She just wagged her tail and let her tongue hang out.
69. >It took a few minutes for you and Shiny to finish laughing.
70. >SA “I’ve heard mixed reports of diamond dog encounters. If they try anything, I can just put a shield up to separate us in here.”
71. “Sounds like a good idea. Now, let’s have some fucking breakfast. I’m starving.”
72. >Fuck yeah, peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Breakfast of champions, much better than that peanut butter and jelly concoction the ‘Murrikans came up with.
73. >Soar: “Bro, what’s on this sandwich?”
74.
75.
76. “Peanut butter and honey motherfucker. Good right?”
77. >Soar: “Good? It’s bucking amazing!”
78. >SA: “It’s not bad.”
79. “*Pffft* ‘Not bad.’ Get that weak shit outta here.”
80. >SA: “It’s not -that- good though.”
81. >You give Shiny a deadpan stare before flicking your eyes to Maya. She seems to be bothered by something from deeper in the cave.

“What is it girl?”
82. >Soarin opens his mouth but you quickly shush him. You swore you heard something coming from the direction Maya was looking.
83. >Silence befalls your trio as you listen carefully to the sounds emanating from the cave.
84. >At first, you hear nothing, but then…
85. >Voices.
86. >There was no doubt about it; you could hear them echoing through the tunnel. Must be those diamond dogs Soarin saw from earlier, three or four of them by the sounds of it.
87. “You guys hear that?”
88. >They both nod.
89. “So what do we do? Just… stand our ground?”
90. >Soar: “Buck that, I say we go in hoofs blazing,” he say while putting his hooves into a boxing stance… wut.
91. >SA: “Look, like I said earlier, if they aren’t friendly, I can just put a shield between us and them. If they get too aggravated, we’ll leave.”
92. “Sweet as then, just keep an eye out, eh? The last thing I want is to be killed by a club to the back of the head or some shit.”
93.
94. >You all finish your breakfast in silence, still listening for any indication of the lurking possibility of an attack.
95. >The voices have all but completely faded at this point, that is until…
96. >M *BARK!*
97. “SHUT IT MAYA!” you say in the best loud whisper you can manage.
98. >She turns tail and walks back to you, but unfortunately the damage is already done. You can hear the voices getting closer.
99.
100.
101. “Fuck… okay, you ready to pop a bubble if shit goes tits up, Shiny?”
102. >He glares at you before nodding; you know he hates it when you call his shields bubbles, but what can you say? You played a fair bit of Halo back in the day, sometimes the lingo sticks.
103. >?: “…It came from this way.”
104. >?: “Yes, we heards it.”
105. >Your trio stands at the ready, just in case shit gets real. You only have to wait a moment before the diamond dogs come into your view. There were three of them, like you’d guessed. They walked on their hind legs but all hunched over, a bit like a gorilla would.
106. >They finally spot your group and freeze in place. And you stay like that for what feels like hours. No one moves, no one talks. The only sound to be heard is the wind lapping at the edges of the cave.
107. >The silence is deafening. You can’t take it anymore, you have to say something.
108. “Friendly?” You wave a hand submissively at them.
109. >They talk amongst themselves; you can’t make anything out so you just stand there with your hand still out at an awkward angle.
110. >They eventually turn to look at you. “Yeah, friendly,” the medium sized one calls out.
111. >Well that’s a relief.
112. >They start to move towards your group. You look over at Soarin and Shiny, they weren’t budging, so you stay where you are. These dogs do seem to have a golem feel to them.
113. >They’re only a few feet away from you before the medium one stops them, he must be the leader or something? He points at Maya with an agitated look on his face. You don’t like where this is going.
114. >?: “Why have you enslaved one of our kind, alien?”
115. >Wha…
116. >Are they talking about Maya?
117. >…
118. >Really?
119.
120.
121. >As if on cue, Maya trots up to meet them and starts barking.
122. >?: “Dogs!”
123. >A loud series of crashes sound off somewhere deeper in the cave, moments later a few more dogs join the three in front of you. However, these are wearing armour.
124. >?: “Dogs, translate,” he motions towards Maya, who is still barking happily.
125. >The armour clad dogs look intently at Maya while she keeps barking at them. Could they really understand her?
126. >One of them speaks up.
127. >2?: “She says they’re her friends, especially the tall one.”
128. >Awww.
129. >That makes your heart melt a little.
130. “C’mere!”
131. >Maya promptly darts back to you and leaps up into your awaiting arms, you pull her into a hug and she licks your cheek.
132. >Apparently this was all the dogs needed to see before they deemed you friendly.
133. >Maybe you’ll be able to stay here for a while?
134. - - - - - -
135. Something you may want to know for later. (If you don’t know what a splitter / diffuser is)
136. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e6/Ferrarif430diffuser.jpg
137. It’s basically something mounted on the rear bumper that uses airflow to suck the rear of the car onto the road.
138. - - - - - -
139. LATER THAT DAY
140. >It’s now well into the day, and your group is still hanging out with the dogs from earlier. Spot, Rover, and Fido as you had learned. They were actually really cool about the whole estrus thing. Apparently they’ve encountered some… lusty mares… in the past. Celestia has apologized for it but they understand there isn’t much she can do.
141. >You wouldn’t be able to stay here much longer, though. Food was running low for Soarin and Armor.
142. >Too bad for them if they don’t like meat.
143.
144.
145. >But you weren’t mean enough to let them starve here, so you have to find another group of colts hiding from the mares.
146. >Hopefully Shiny and Soarin have some ideas of where they might be, because you have absolutely none.
147. >Oh well… that’s a problem for future Anon.
148. >You swear you can hear someone cursing at you but you pay it no attention.
149. >They were very interested in your car—who wouldn’t be?—, so you’re currently getting it ready for a little demonstration.
150. Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wToW2D5qfes
151. >You test the throttle a little, making sure the engine was still fine from your ventures yesterday.
152. >Everything sounds in order…
153. >You floor the accelerator and watch the looks on the dogs’ faces as the engine dances on the rev limiter. They all jump a little as a few backfires sound off, intensified by the acoustics of the cave.
154. >Let’s do this.
155. >You drop the clutch and thunder off towards the dogs, they quickly split and jump out of the way.
156. >Perfect.
157. >You rip the E Brake and turn in towards Spot, the smallest one. You circle him like a shark circling its prey.
158. >You put the steering on opposite lock as you spin round and start circling Fido and Rover.
159. >Their faces are a mix of wonder and fear.
160. >Seems to be the most common one you encounter with this beast.
161. >You straighten up and head deeper into the cave; being unsure of the terrain, you don’t head too far before ripping the E Brake and spinning to face your little group.
162. >The car comes to a stop. You wait a moment before revving the engine. The sounds rumble across the cave walls and echo deep within.
163. >You drop the clutch and rocket forward, ascending the gears as fast as you could.
164.
165.
166. >The car jumps and skips over the rough cave floor but you keep your foot planted.
167. >Just before you plow straight into the diamond dogs, you tug the E Brake and turn into the naturally formed corner.
168. >The tail steps out and sends little chunks of the cave floor in a wave towards the group. Shiny manages to block them with a quick shield spell.
169. >You eye a wider section in the cave ahead and decide to use it as your return point.
170. >You weave between all the various holes and pillars, snaking your way toward your turnaround point.
171. >The light from the opening of the cave cascades down towards you. It forms a beautiful outline around the pony at the entrance.
172. >Wait…
173. >Pony at the…
174. >Oh fuck.
175. >Wrenching the E Brake, you take one last look towards the cave mouth, only to have your fears confirmed.
176. >Where there had once been a singular outline, now stood a large group.
177. >Yeah… time to go.
178. >You jump back up the gears and make a beeline for where your group was standing, paying little attention to the sounds of agony from the tires and suspension for having to deal with the cave surface.
179. >You slam on the brakes and slide to a stop right beside Shiny and Maya.
180. “Get in.”
181. >SA: “Wha… why? Are we leaving already? Because I…”
182. “It’s them.”
183. >The look of horror on Armor’s face is all you need to see to know he’s caught on to your reason.
184. >You shove the door open and Maya instinctively hops in followed in quick succession by Shiny.
185. “SOARIN! LET’S GO.”
186. >He hops in the car with no second guessing. You mouth ‘sorry’ to the diamond dogs before taking off deeper into the tunnel.
187.
188.
189. Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXhBzkwRiAE
190. >The dim light from the lanterns flicks past you like a series of small strobe lights as you desperately search for a way out of this cave system.
191. >Soar: “So why are we leaving so suddenly dude?”
192. >You glance in the rear-view mirror to see a horde of mares flood the tunnel behind you.
193. “Behind us.”
194. >Soar: “Oh fuck, bro. Get us outta here!”
195. >You slam on the brakes and veer down a large opening in the cave wall.

“Trying to.”
196. >Veering between pillars and holes in the ground, you manage to spot something.
197. >Light.
198. >This wasn’t lantern light, however.
199. >This was glorious sunlight!
200. >You flatten the accelerator and plunge the rev counter deep into the red line.
201. >The engine lets out a thunderous roar and you lock your arms in place as the car races forward.
202. >The cave floor begins to veer upwards and you quickly ascend the track into the cave mouth.
203. >Sunlight floods your vision as the car leaps out onto the open wasteland ground.
204. >You tug on the E Brake and quickly swerve out of the way of a very menacing rock formation. The tires bounce over the uneven surface and you have to wrestle the steering wheel to get the car pointing in the right direction again.
205. >The image in your mirrors is not a very comforting one. A horde of mares are rushing out of the cave and not just pegasi this time either. Shiny sure has his work cut out for him.
206. >You slam it into fourth and bury the throttle. The car leaps from bump to bump in the rough wasteland terrain. A particularly large bump sends you in the direction of a protruding rock formation.
207.
208.
209. >You snap the E Brake back and throw the steering wheel to the left. The front digs in and the tail slides round, you flick on some opposite lock and wait for the tail to swing back around.
210. >It doesn’t.
211. >An almighty snapping sound rings through the cockpit and you’re all thrown to the right side of the car. Before you’re able to adjust, the tail whips back around.
212. >You catch a glimpse of your impaled rear bumper on the rock formation.
213. >Fuck, that’s not good.
214. >The car is almost facing towards the horde now. Snapping back to your senses, you wrench the gear lever in to reverse and floor it.
215. >You dab the front brakes and swing the steering wheel to the left. The front of the car snaps around to point in the right direction again and you drop it back in to second and thunder forwards.
216. >The horde has closed in on you after your little… incident with the rocks. You shift through the gears as fast as you can manage on this surface and put a more comfortable distance between the car and the horde.
217. >The rear of the car floats around on the surface a lot more without the splitter on; this could prove a problem…
218. >But the best way to counter that is lose the horde as fast as possible.
219. >And that’s what the plan is.
220. - - - - - -
221. 10 MINUTES LATER
222. >Yeah… that plan didn’t go so well.
223. >On the bright side…
224. >…
225. >There isn’t one.
226. >Fuck.
227. >Wait. Is that?
228. >YES! The rocks are thinning out.
229. >And with them, so does the ground. You can’t stress how nice it is to not feel like you’re strapped to a fucking jackhammer.
230. >This new development calls for one thing and one thing only.
231. >Speed.
232. >You stretch the gears, waiting until the last moment until jumping up to the next.
233. >170.
234.
235.
236. >You really miss that rear splitter right now, any slight variation in the steering sends the back afloat, and that scares you very much so, because with no roll cage and at these speeds, if you do… go upside down, the results wouldn’t exactly be pleasant.
237. >190.
238. >What is that?
239. >Because it looks like a gorge.
240. >But that’s…
241. >Soar: “Buck…”
242. >SA: “Ghastly Gorge.”
243. >Well isn’t that a pleasant name?
244. >SA: “What do we do now?”
245. >You know that little voice in your head? The one who tells you not to do stupid shit? Yeah… you’re not listening to him this time.
246. >You shift up into sixth and weld the throttle to the floor.
247. >SA: “What are you doing Anon? You do know what a gorge is right? They have those on Earth don’t they?”
248. “If we don’t make it out of this alive, I just want you to know you guys have been the best friends I could ever have asked for.”
249. >The car remains silent as what you said sinks in.
250. >210.
251. >SA: “Likewise.”
252. >Soar: “Yeah, best bucking bros forever.”
253. >223.
254. >The front of the car lifts up as it hits the natural lip on the edge of the gorge. Quickly followed by the rear of the car.
255. >You… you can’t describe this feeling.
256. >It’s like a mix of raw emotions infused with raw adrenaline injected straight into your brain.
257. >You imagine it’s a bit like smoking a Jeffery.
258. >The wheels spin freely, causing the engine to hit the redline. Each backfire strikes a new thought into your head.
259. >Why did you agree to this?
260. >What if you hadn’t hit that rock earlier?
261. >What if you don’t make it out of this alive?
262. >Then something happens, something you didn’t even consider, all triggered by one thing.
263. >Her.
264. >You will make it through this.
265. >You will make it home.
266. >And you will see her again.
267.
268.
269. >Home… you’d never called Equestria home before.
270. >And it IS your home.
271. >And you won’t leave it. Not like this.
272. >The nose of the car dips down slightly, and you brace yourself for whatever happens next.
273. >You’re thrown forward in your seat as the front impacts the ground. The suspension cries out in pain and the body of the car lets out an accompanying groan.
274. >The back slams onto the ground and throws you back in your seat. The world just seems to fade a little bit as your vision blurs.
275. >It feels like you’re slowly going into a dark tunnel.
276. >Maybe you should stop fighting and go with it.
277. >It’d be easier.
278. >…
279. >No.
280. >That’s not you.
281. >Pulling yourself back to reality you check the other occupants of the car.
282. >They’re all groaning in pain but no one seems to be seriously injured.
283. >You look behind you and notice all the mares standing near the edge of the canyon.
284. >Why aren’t the pegasi chasing you?
285. >Whatever, you don’t care. You just focus on driving.
286. >It appears this side of the gorge is covered in dense forest. Luckily for you, there seems to be a track leading into it.
287.
288.
289. >SA: “*groan* I know this forest. It’s Whitetail Woods. There should be a group of stallions seeking refuge in here.”
290. “I hope we find them soon.”
291. >You clutch at your chest as it sends a lance of pain through you.
292. - - - - - -
293. A SHORT TIME FOLLOWING THE TRACK LATER
294. >It’s starting to get dark now.
295. >Which means it’s a lot easier to see that lantern light up ahead.
296. >Wait… lantern light?
297. >The light cascades across various tents and other things.
298. >You’ve found them…
299. >A pair of stallion pegasi jump out in front of the car. You slam on the brakes and clutch at your chest as it sends another lance of pain through you.
300. >Flicking the engine off you slowly undo your harness and hop out of the car.
301. >You’re about to say something but the pain in your chest stops you. It spears through every fibre of your being. You let out a blood curdling scream as your vision fades to black. The last thing you hear is someone screaming medic before you slip into unconsciousness.
302. >End of Day Two.
