  1. Some people have asked me for an alternate ending to Chapter 12, mostly 'what if Twilight hadn't noticed?' This is the result.
  2.
  3.
  4. Timeskip to mid-chapter 12, everything before happens the same.
  5. ---
  6.
  7. You awoke on a stone floor. Not cobblestone like the Canterlot streets, but solid stone. Groaning, you clutched your pounding head and sat up, getting a better look at your surroundings. Crystals were on every wall of your cave prison, and you'd have appreciated the beauty more if your head wasn't trying to split itself open.
  8.
  9. "Oh thank goodness you're awake!" A familiar voice called out. Looking over to the source, a pink Alicorn sat staring at you. She looked roughed up and tired, various bruises and scratches visible under and on her bright pink coat. She was clearly relieved you were awake, but you weren't exactly pleased to see her.
  10.
  11. "So, I take it they all got tired of Princess Bitch?" You asked bluntly, in no condition to make a witty line. Cadenza's expression immediately flipped itself, going from relieved to hurt and confused in a nanosecond.
  12.
  13. "Wh-No! That's not me!" She cried. "That's an impostor! A fake! You have to believe me!"
  14.
  15. As if you had been born yesterday.
  16.
  17. "Well, forgive me if I don't trust you at all, Miss "Mi Amore Cadenza"."
  18.
  19. "It's Cadence." She replied tiredly, head hanging low. "My name is Cadence. It's the name I want everypony to use, that official 'title' is just...ugh."
  20.
  21. "Ah, so my two captives are awake and mingling, how nice."
  22.
  23. You looked around, with Cadence's voice echoing throughout the cavern. Cadence herself looked angry, while you were busy being confused. Two Cadences?
  24.
  25. Said second Cadence was reflected in some of the crystals, wicked grin splitting her face. She turned to you, and the grin grew wider.
  26.
  27. "Enjoying your cell, monkey?" Cadenza said sweetly, the unsettling grin growing almost predatory. You shot back with a withering look, remaining silent. "You'll be sharing it with the princess while I drain both a brother and sister of all their love!" The princess' evil grin remained. "It's interesting, actually. The sister has almost as much love for you as her brother does for his fiancee!"
  28.
  29. This touched your heart, despite the circumstances. Still, draining love?
  30.
  31. "Seriously?" You asked, completely incredulous. Fuck you hated magic sometimes. "How on earth do you 'drain' love?"
  32.
  33. "My brood and I feed off of it, ape. In fact, I've been draining off of Shining Armor for weeks now!" Cadenza cackled.
  34.
  35. "So...succubi?"
  36.
  37. Cadenza was silent, staring at you confused. "What?"
  38.
  39. "Succubi. Demons that feed off of love and lust."
  40.
  41. "We are not demons!" She shouted. Looks like you struck a nerve.
  42.
  43. "Parasites then." You smirked, enjoying the angry look she was shooting at you. The fake Alicorn growled at you, while Cadence put a hoof to her mouth to stifle her laughter. Probably the first laugh she had in however long she's been here. "Leech? Bloodsucker? I could go on all day."
  44.
  45. "ENOUGH!" She roared, before forcibly calming herself with a deep breath. "Well, if you fancy yourself a comedian, then you'll get a laugh out of this, I bet!"
  46.
  47. The view flipped...a hotel room? No, Twilight's room, you recognized the expanded bed. The view was from the ceiling, and it was kinda creepy that Cadenza was actually keeping watch on the amethyst unicorn in the room. Twilight was sitting in the room and looking out of the window...when the door swung open.
  48.
  49. 'You' walked in, somewhat unsteadily. Seemed that whatever was mimicking you hadn't quite gotten bipedal movement down. Twilight, facing the other way, hadn't seen 'you' enter.
  50.
  51. "Oh, Anon! What are you doing here?" Twilight asked, turning away from the window.
  52.
  53. "Oh nothing much, just checking up on my favorite unicorn." Your fake responded. "Haven't seen you in a little bit."
  54.
  55. "I could say the same about you." She replied, then sighed. "I don't know, something's off. Cadence isn't acting right, Shining is completely defending all of her actions...it's bugging me."
  56.
  57. "I know. It's...stressful, isn't it?" 'You' replied sweetly, sitting on the bed next to her. 'You' began stroking her mane with 'your' left hand, and she visibly relaxed. "If only there was a way to...cut loose and relax..." Your fake trailed off, and Twilight's ear twitched.
  58.
  59. "I-I'd like to find a way..." She muttered.
  60.
  61. Your groan echoed through your rocky prison.
  62.
  63. "Come on Twilight, you're smarter than that!" You nearly shouted. Cadence put a hoof on your shoulder.
  64.
  65. "It's only going to get worse from here..." The Alicorn muttered dismally. "She forced me to watch every time she and Shining...did things..." Your blood ran icy cold when Cadence trailed off, and your mind filled in the blanks.
  66.
  67. Oh fuck no. No way. There was no way in hell that thing was going to...
  68.
  69. 'Your' hand moved to Twilight's ears, and she melted into 'your' lap. Twilight groaned blissfully as 'your' other hand massaged her back.
  70.
  71. "So tense..." 'You' cooed. "Let's see what we can do about that..."
  72.
  73. The fake's hand went lower and lower, getting a shudder of anticipation from Twilight. Eventually, the copy's fingers disappeared from view, and the unicorn gasped in shock...and then melted into moans. You gasped too, but in disbelief. You almost instinctively knew what was happening to her, and Cadence pressed comfortingly on your shoulder.
  74.
  75. "It's difficult to watch, I know...believe me, I know..." The alicorn's voice meant to comfort you, but she was doing a shitty job of it. You felt the blood pounding in your ears and face, even as you internally felt icy cold. "Every time Shining Armor and that...THING did anything in the bedroom, I was forced to watch."
  76.
  77. Your copy pulled his fingers out, slick with her fluids.
  78.
  79. "C'mon Twilight, I thought you could last longer than that..." Not-You teased, which only intensified Twilight's already heavy blush. It would have been perfect if it was YOU, not this...creature doing that. You slugged the wall nearby, fracturing a bone in your hand and at the same time simply not caring about the pain.
  80.
  81. Faux-You then began gently stroking Twi's horn, which elicited a sharp and high-pitched groan from the mare.
  82.
  83. "H-how...did you know to do th-that?" She stuttered, moving her head to get more feeling out of it. A sickening grin appeared on 'your' face, and he replied.
  84.
  85. "I read too, sweetheart. Those biology books were very...informative..." He trailed off, keeping the stroking gentle but picking up the pace. The unicorn's breathing picked up, and tears of happiness streamed down her face.
  86.
  87. "I-I've waited for this for so long..." She moaned again, her horn glowing heavily. A bolt launched from her and scorched the wall, but neither 'you' nor Twilight cared. A slight green trail lead from the smoking hole to 'you', one that went unnoticed by Twilight as her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Another green trail latched onto the mare herself, also leading back to 'your' body.
  88.
  89. Your copy's lustful grin grew wider.
  90.
  91. "It's absorbing the love..." Cadence whispered, stunned this was happening to the mare she used to foalsit for.
  92.
  93. You were too absorbed in rage to pay much attention to her. Your eyes were locked solidly onto the crystal display. It was horrible...but you couldn't look away.
  94.
  95. Your copy decided to stop the massage, which got an unhappy whine from Twilight. Your heart melted, and then re-froze when you realized what he was doing.
  96.
  97. 'Your' pants came off, and Twilight's eyes became the size of dinner plates.
  98.
  99. "A-anon..." Twilight eventually found her voice, eying something blocked from view...but you knew exactly what it was. "Please be careful...I'm still, you know..."
  100.
  101. "Still what, my little pony~?"
  102.
  103. "A...virgin..." Twilight whispered, blush back in place. Your twin had a lustful grin in place.
  104.
  105. "Really now...? I figured you to be one to...experiment."
  106.
  107. "I've tried some things, but...never went too far. I wanted to give myself to...my special somepony..."
  108.
  109. Tears started blurring your view. This was what broke you. You cried, for the first time in years. Your heart was shattered in that instant, as Twilight gave a loud moan...followed by "I love you so much!"
  110.
  111. "C-Cadence..." You eventually managed to sputter out. Tear tracks were visible, and you sniffled pathetically.
  112.
  113. She was quiet for a moment, before getting closer and wrapping a comforting wing around you. "Yes...Anon?"
  114.
  115. "I'm going..." You swallowed, pushing down another wave of tears. "I'm going to end Cadenza. I want you...to stay here. I don't want to hurt you by mistake."
  116.
  117. "Anonymous, when you say 'end', do you mean..." Cadence trailed off, giving you a worried look.
  118.
  119. "I mean, I'm going to kill her. I'm going to draw it out and make it PAINFUL." Your heart suddenly had a fire in it, one you had felt only once before. One you had hoped to never feel again. "Can you...make a hole in the wall?"
  120.
  121. Another of Twilight's happy moans brought a fresh wave of tears. That should be YOU, godsdammit! "Please, before I have to hear that again..." You pleaded. Cadence gave you a pained look, before firing a small, low power beam at the wall. It struck and left just a scuff mark, which you were honestly expecting.
  122.
  123. "I'm sorry Anonymous, I'm just too...weak right now."
  124.
  125. You nodded, upset beyond belief. You understood, of course. It looked like she hadn't eaten in weeks, you shouldn't have even asked for her to do that.
  126.
  127. Instead, you walked over and yanked on the top of a stalagmite. It creaked as pressure was placed on it, and eventually yielded and snapped off. You used it as a chisel, striking at what you thought to be weakpoints in the wall. You tried so damn hard to ignore Twilight's grunts and groans as she was...violated, but found it nearly impossible.
  128.
  129. After almost twenty minutes, you felt it. Wind, moving through a crack you created. Striking with greater force, the wall began to give way. After another few minutes, you had a hole large enough to walk through. After a final look at Cadence...and at the crystals showing an exhausted and happy Twilight, you turned and left.
  130. ---
  131.
  132. You had been keeping your tears at bay with simple and pure anger. Twilight should have known! She should have looked at your hands, the burn was still there! Why didn't she notice the green aura?!
  133.
  134. "That's not fair." You said to yourself. It wasn't fair to put it all on her, she was tricked. It started before the mare could even get a good look at you, and escalated quickly past the point where she didn't care anymore.
  135.
  136. It still didn't stop you from being angry, but it wasn't fair in the slightest to pin that on Twilight. She had even said she had been waiting for this, there was no reason at all for her to suspect anything was wrong.
  137.
  138. Instead, you pinned the blame on Cadenza and that...changeling. You remembered creatures that could change shape at will from old fairy tales back home, so that was yet another parallel to your books.
  139.
  140. You shook your head. No time for games or idle thoughts. You wanted to keep this anger, it would help in just a little bit.
  141.
  142. You saw a minecart, but ignored it when you noticed broken tracks later on the path. Instead, you took a winding route around and up, which lead to a small 'bridge' less than two inches wide, yet at least ten yards long. Trusting your balance, you sprinted along it. It began crumbling as you dashed across, and once you reached safe ground, there was no going back.
  143.
  144. Not that you wanted to. You had an alicorn to slay.
  145. --
  146.
  147. You reached a set of stairs, presumably leading into the castle. Lyra and two other flowermares stood guard, and locked eyes to you when they saw you.
  148.
  149. "Where do you think YOU'RE going?" They asked simultaneously, narrowing their eyes and sneering sinisterly. You didn't respond, simply choosing to ignore them. You didn't want to have to hurt Lyra anyway.
  150.
  151. As you went past, they moved to block you. You growled.
  152.
  153. "Let. Me. Through."
  154.
  155. They chuckled, then came after you in force.
  156.
  157. You kicked the blue unicorn in the head, and she dropped like a lead weight. Lyra threw a heavy rock at you with telekinesis, which you dodged. You grabbed Lyra by the scruff of her neck and tossed her towards the steps, which she struck back first. The final mare charged you mindlessly, not recognizing the danger. You punched her in the face as she came at you, then kicked her in the neck.
  158.
  159. She dropped too, groaning slightly.
  160.
  161. Good, you didn't kill any of them. You'd have felt bad about it later.
  162.
  163. Lyra groaned as she woke up again, holding her head with her hoof.
  164.
  165. "Wh...what happened...?" She asked. "Why does my head and back hurt...?"
  166.
  167. "Well, you attacked me." You said bluntly, and she looked up. Her eyes widened and her ears flattened against her skull.
  168.
  169. "I did what!?"
  170.
  171. "You attacked me." You repeated, marching past her. "If you'll excuse me, I've got a princess to murder."
  172.
  173. "Wait, what?! Anon, wait!" Lyra shouted, following you. "What's going on?"
  174.
  175. "That alicorn you've been following is a fake. I'm going to take her out, but not before I visit Twilight. Someone copied me, and...had their way with Twilight. I'm going to gut him first."
  176.
  177. Lyra took a step back, this wasn't the Anon she had known from Ponyville. She thought about your last few words for a moment, and it dawned on the mint green unicorn.
  178.
  179. "Wait...you mean...?"
  180.
  181. "Yes." You ground out, keeping your temper in check. You didn't have a right to be angry at Lyra either.
  182.
  183. She followed you up the stairs, keeping a small distance between the two of you. Eventually you made it into the castle proper, where two black...bugponies waited. They hadn't seen you yet, and your softer feet made next to no sound on the polished stone. Waving at Lyra, she stopped and waited.
  184.
  185. You silently crept up to one...and put your hand over its mouth, wrenching his neck up and twisting viciously. There was a sickening *crunch*, and the creature silently went limp. The other bug didn't hear the sound, or simply wasn't paying much attention. His loss.
  186.
  187. You laid the corpse down quietly, then repeated the process on the other. He went down just as quickly, and you signaled to Lyra. She cautiously went up the stairs again, following behind you. You encountered no more resistance from that point onwards, which was both suspicious and a lucky break.
  188.
  189. You eventually made it to Twilight's room, which was locked. You looked to Lyra, and gestured at the lock. She looked puzzled.
  190.
  191. "Pick it." You hissed, and she nodded. Her magic lit the knob up, and after a few minutes, the door popped open.
  192.
  193. As the door opened, your heart broke yet again.
  194.
  195. You had caught both your fake and Twilight in the throes of ecstasy, the lavender pony biting her pillow to stifle her screams of arousal. Her eyes shot open when the door did, and your fake looked at you with a shocked and worried expression.
  196.
  197. You roared in anguish and rage, charging your fake and planting the sharp edge of the stalagmite in his neck before he even had a chance to react. Green blood sprayed from the wound, coating you and the ceiling in it. The copy then reverted back to his bugpony state, which got a look of horror from both ponies nearby.
  198.
  199. "A-anon...? What...I mean...no...I...I didn't mean for..." Twilight started, before losing it. She burst into sobs, screaming "I didn't know!" over and over again.
  200.
  201. You pulled her into a tight hug, kissing her neck and stroking her mane.
  202.
  203. "It's okay, it's okay..." You whispered into her ear, trying to calm the wailing unicorn. You silently cried, tears staining her coat and mane. Lyra stood in the hallway, still in shock at what had transpired.
  204.
  205. You slowly broke the embrace.
  206.
  207. "Twilight, I need a weapon. Anything you can think of?"
  208.
  209. "W-well..." She thought for a moment, fighting off tears. She truly wanted to make up for this. "Well, the g-guard barracks have weapons...I want to help Anon. I want to get back at that...thing that tricked me."
  210.
  211. "Take us there, Twi."
  212.
  213. She nodded silently, sniffling once in a while. "I...I wanted to give myself to you...not a fake...I'm so sorry..."
  214.
  215. "It's okay Twilight. Really, I understand."
  216.
  217. "You...you aren't mad at me...?"
  218.
  219. "I could never be angry at you."
  220.
  221. The three of you walked to the barracks in silence after that, Twilight walking close to you. She looked at you every once in a while, before re-focusing ahead. The door to the barracks was unlocked, and the armory door was hanging open. A dead earth pony guard was blocking the armory door from shutting, and there were still several sets of armor and a handful of weapons there. You grabbed a halberd, familiar enough with it in principle.
  222.
  223. A few practice swings had you set to use it, getting back into the groove of using what was essentially a Longsword. Twilight and Lyra armored themselves, but neither took a weapon. Being unicorns, they had a natural weapon already. You felt a little exposed.
  224.
  225. "Twilight...do you think you could teleport my armor here?" You asked. She nodded, quickly teleporting to her library. A few moments later, she teleported back alone.
  226.
  227. "Darn it, hold on."
  228.
  229. She flashed away again, and just as quickly came back, your Azure armor in tow.
  230.
  231. "I got it!" She cheered. "I figured out how to get past your armor's magical immunity! I don't need to transport *everything*, just the stuff the magic-immune things are attached to!"
  232.
  233. You stroked her mane, smiling warmly at your genius unicorn.
  234.
  235. "Great job Twi." She smiled at your praise, happy you were still even talking to her.
  236.
  237. You slowly donned your armor, Azure scales glittering in the light. You stepped forward.
  238.
  239. "We have a wedding to cancel, and a changeling to kill. Let's move."
  240.
  241. The commanding Hunter in you had finally resurfaced after months away, and it felt good. The two mares followed you, horns aglow with power.
  242.
  243. "Twilight, down in the caves beneath the castle, Cadence is being held captive. I've already beat the wall apart, I just need somepony to go get her."
  244.
  245. "I've got it Anon!" Lyra said, splitting off and going down the hallway.
  246. ---
  247.
  248. You approached the throne room door, the guard in front of it stopping the three of you.
  249.
  250. "HALT! There is a wedding in progress, who are you?!" He demanded. You simply answered by unsheathing your weapon.
  251.
  252. "My name is Anonymous, Monster Hunter. There is a monster in there that needs killing, and you WILL stand aside. I will not be responsible for 'accidental' deaths that occur during the battle." You growled, and the guard visibly paled. You towered over him, and your armor gave you a much more menacing appearance. He wisely backed down a few seconds later.
  253.
  254. You kicked the door in with enough force to splinter it, striding into the room. Twilight immediately threw up a barrier in front of Cadenza, blocking her off from Shining Armor. All eyes turned to your group, and then all hell broke loose.
  255.
  256. "CADENZA!" You roared, pouring all your hate and anguish into it. "For what you've done to me, Twilight, AND Cadence...you will PAY."
  257.
  258. "How dare you ruin my wedding!" She screamed, almost as angry as you and still keeping the charade.
  259.
  260. Almost as angry.
  261.
  262. "YOUR wedding?!" A copy of the voice screamed, and all eyes left Cadenza to meet the real Cadence, looking royally pissed off. Her roughed up appearance only added to the effect. "This is MY wedding you've ruined, Changeling!"
  263.
  264. Lyra took a spot behind you, a mint-green shield in front of you both.
  265.
  266. An evil laugh came from Cadenza, before a pillar of green flame engulfed her. When it subsided, a much taller green bug alicorn stood in her place.
  267.
  268. "Shining Armor is already mine, and soon, so will all of Equestria! You've FAILED." She gloated, before shooting the bridesmares and Celestia an evil sneer.
  269.
  270. "This ends NOW." You shouted, charging forward. The insect thought quickly, leaping back as the sharp blade cleaved the floor where she was just seconds ago.
  271.
  272. You needed space, this halberd was going to hurt somepony who didn't deserve to get hurt.
  273.
  274. "Girls." You said, looking to AJ, Rarity, Flutters, Rainbow, and Pinkie. "Clear out. Now." The commanding tone was back in your voice. "Get everypony out of here, this is going to get...messy."
  275.
  276. They nodded, and quickly cleared the throne room. They didn't need to really convince anyone anyway.
  277.
  278. "You think you can challenge me?!" The black creature shouted. A smirk crossed your lips, which she couldn't see due to the helmet.
  279.
  280. "I don't think. I KNOW." You shouted back. "Twi, strip her wings, and make it HURT."
  281.
  282. "With pleasure." The unicorn growled darkly, a pulse of magic from her almost flooring the bug. Twilight's aura enveloped the alicorn's wings, and with a scream of exertion from the unicorn, the clear tattered wings ripped clean from its body. The insect dropped from the air like a stone afterwards, landing neck first.
  283.
  284. You walked up to the entranced Shining Armor...and slugged him in the face. He reeled back, shaking his head clear.
  285.
  286. "SNAP THE HELL OUT OF IT." You yelled, as he put a hoof to his head.
  287.
  288. "Ung...where...?"
  289.
  290. "Your bride's over there, get to safety." You stated calmly, turning away from him. "I've got a bug to crush."
  291.
  292. You walked over to the fallen Changeling Queen, picking her up by her neck and slamming her into the wall. She was shockingly light for her size, and being fueled by anger made it even easier.
  293.
  294. "You've made me an enemy. This," you leveled a punch directly across her face, "was a mistake. Not only did one of your people rape Twilight," you punched her again, "you also continuously raped Cadence's fiancee." You threw the Queen across the floor, and she bounced on contact with the solid stone before coming to a halt.
  295.
  296. "I'm sure she wants to tear you apart as much as we ALL do. So, we're going to take turns. One by one, until you're cold and lifeless on the floor."
  297.
  298. Twilight gave you a worried glance, as did the remaining ponies in the room.
  299.
  300. "Anon, what..."
  301.
  302. You turned to her, slowly. The mare closed her mouth just as slowly.
  303.
  304. "Remember that story I told you?" Twilight's eyes widened, and she nodded slowly, horrified. "Guess who's back."
  305.
  306. You returned your steely gaze to the Changeling on the ground, who in a last ditch effort took on Twilight's form. It made it harder to attack her, but not impossible...as you demonstrated when you buried the halberd into her side. Her disguise immediately failed afterwards, and green fluids leaked onto the tiled floor.
  307.
  308. "And if they don't want to end you, I will." You continued, twisting the blade for good measure.
  309.
  310. "You...you wouldn't..." The wounded queen whispered. "My entire race will die..."
  311.
  312. "I. Don't. Care."
  313.
  314. "Anon, stop. Please." Cadence pleaded. "That's enough..."
  315.
  316. You paused...and then turned away. If anyone had a right to beat this creature to death, it was Cadence. If she was telling you to stop, maybe you had crossed a line. You sighed.
  317.
  318. "Fine."
  319.
  320. You wrenched your borrowed weapon out of the injured matriarch's side, replacing it on your back and walking out, Twilight in tow.

  322.
  323. "Anon...?" Twilight eventually spoke up, sitting close to you as you sat on the steps out front of the castle. The wedding had been rescheduled for tomorrow, which gave the ponies time to reset everything...and time to clean the bloodstains out of the throne room. Shining Armor had personally snapped Chrysalis' horn off, and she was currently rotting in the dungeon, alone.
  324.
  325. Celestia had promised the death sentence. You were shocked, you weren't aware Canterlot had one. Apparently, you had to be downright irredeemable for the penalty to apply, and it had only been given twice in Equestrian history.
  326.
  327. "Yeah Twilight?"
  328.
  329. "I...still want to be with you. Everything I did...I did because I thought it was you..." Twilight's voice got quieter as she spoke, it was like you were meeting Fluttershy all over again. A small flush crossed her face, and she scooted closer to you.
  330.
  331. You wrapped her in a hug, and kissed her. She leaned into it, and you pulled back, smiling mischievously.
  332.
  333. "I think we can arrange that."
