  40. His father ran a small, but powerful cooperation, and he was always busy, spending hardly anytime with his family. But, when he did, he was always angry, loud, and abusive.

  42. His mother, however, was around more often, and they'd do things together. She was a kind and beautiful pegasus, and was very close to her son, and she often shielded him from his father.

  44. One day, no one understood quite what happened, or what went wrong, but the manor he lived in burnt to the ground, taking the lives of all those inside, except his. Some ponies pitied him, and some assumed he started the fire, and hated him. But, either way, no one wanted him. So he was shunned, and he travelled the world.

  46. One night, taking shelter in a cornfield, he heard a voice, seemingly from nowhere. Soon, it became apparent that it was his shadow that was talking to him. He thought he gone crazy, but it whispered things. Dark things. Comforting things...
