  3. >One day, you're walking along, enjoying the sound of the waves, when you find a young, stray fluffy pony.
  4. >Fearing for his safety, you take him home and adopt him.
  5. >Name him Arthur.
  6. >Regret giving him a name that’s so hard for him to pronounce
  7. >"Awfuh", like many fluffy ponies, has a suicidal fondness for water.
  8. >He especially loves your fishtank, and spends hours giggling and staring, entranced, at the fish.
  9. >One day the phone rings while you're feeding the fish.
  10. >You absentmindedly leave the top of the fish tank off, and when you return, you find Arthur trying to clamber inside.
  11. >You scoop him up before he manages to tip it over or fall in.
  12. >He protests all the way back to his saferoom.
  13. >"Awfuh wan’ be fishie! Wan’ hug an pway an tawk wif fishies!”
  14. >In your attempts to calm him down, you explain that fishies can’t talk.

  16. >You have no idea what he’s talking about.
  17. >One day, you forget to secure the lock on Arthur’s saferoom.

  19. >You run outside, and see Arthur carefully approaching the waterline.
  20. >You yell for him to come back, the water’s too dangerous for fluffy ponies!
  21. >He turns around, puffing his cheeks in defiance.
  22. >”Nuh uh! Awfuh wuv wawa, daddy!
  23. >As he says this, a wave manages to reach his little hooves.
  24. >His absorbent fluff is instantly weighed down by water, and his legs fall out from under him.
  25. >”Wheeeeee” he squeals as you race to catch him.
  26. >You’re too late; Arthur is pulled back and disappears under the crest of the next wave.
  27. >You’re crushed by the sudden lost of your fluffy companion
  28. >But then, you hear a sound ringing out above the noise of the surf.
  29. >”See Daddy? Wa-wa fun! Awfuh pway in wa-wa fowevuh!”
  30. >Arthur is leaping out of the water like a dolphin, bouncing and giggling and babbling about fishies, quicker and more energetic than he ever was on land.
  31. >”Fishie fwends heaw now! Go pway! Bye-bye, Daddy!”
  32. >As he says this, several fish leap out of the water. Arthur embraces them in a mid-air hug, and is carried out to the horizon.
  33. >Your fluffy pony has become Aquafluff, king of the sea.
  34. >He uses his powers to have fish steal spaghetti from the Italian place on the waterfront.
