- >Sitting in your office a small bell rings out, the intercom comes to life
- >"Admiral, we have a problem, please come to the bridge"
- >You are Admiral Jones Valkyrie, head of command for the flight wing Hades, and you had hopes of finishing up paper work before heading to bed.
- >Standing up from your black leather chair you make your way around a mahogany desk shifting your officers uniform and straightning out the wrinkles
- >You make your way past the sheet metal walls of your opressing office into the hallway
- >As you walk the halls towards the elevator a few of your ships staff straighten up and salute you.
- >Noding them all of casually you reach the elevator and wait for it to arrive
- >Stepping inside you take note of the holographic keypad, punching in the code to reach the bridge
- >The doors open to the bridge of your ship letting the overly bright lights fill the elevators pod
- >Stepping out Comms officers and other bridge staff stand up and salute
- >"ADMIRAL ON DECK" yells the head comms man
- "At ease"
- >Most of the staff go back to their duties but the lead comms officer stands waiting
- "Now, what did you bring me up here for Ron?"
- >"Sir, as of 1600 hours we have lost contact with the Erberus, we have sent other ships to investigate the last warp point and have discovered a type 4 anomaly"
- "Please Ron, remind me what exacly a type 4 is"
- >"Its a wormhole with the gravity well akin to a white dwarf sir"
- "So we're assuming the Eberus has entered the anomaly correct?"
- >"Indeed sir and the problem here is that we think the Eberus might of been damaged"
- "If thats the case, then relay high command, we need a science vessel out here to stabilize the wormhole"
- >"We might not have time for that, we estimate the damages would be critical to the Eberus"
- "Im not planning a rescue mission here Ron, this is a corpse recovery"
- >A short moment of tension arrises and Ron visibly looks sickened
- >"Understood sir, I shall contact high command ASAP"
- >You turn from Ron and make your way back to the elevators pod
- >Punching the code to head back to your office you wait in the warm humming of the elevators interior
- >The doors open without a sound and you step out
- >Making your way back down the hall you walked through minutes before, the staff instinctivly re salute you
- >Waving them off you reach your office door and step inside
- >More paperwork, always more paperwork.
