- Duke Adamant, Lord of Coltchester, Butcher of Nonponies - unicorn, crusader - Until recently, a long ally of the king. Known for his level-headedness, he surprised many with his rebellion. His honorable words are not befitting of actions he committed in his domain.
- Sir Margil of Orkeneigh, the Black Knight - earth pony, blackguard - Bound by oath to serve Duke Adamant. Victories over PCs: 3
- Count Blackthorn - earth pony, rogue(?) - Traitor to the King and general untrustworthy opportunist. has a long tongue faster than his wits, and his charge away from the enemy is even faster than that.
- Flashfire - unicorn, mage - A trusted advisor to Duke Adamant, her origins are unknown. Actually not a nun.
- Duke Willabert, Great Royal Nobody - griffon of unknown class - Griffon aristocrat fond of lion-headed helmets and tassets reminiscent of eagle tails.
- Sir Grieve of Orkeneigh - earth pony, knight - Commander of the force guarding the outer wall of Coltchester. Taken prisoner by sir Shield Bearer. Victories over PCs: 2
- Pegasus Commander - An unknown pegasus leading a large detachment of his obviously foreign brethren, assisting the duke. Killed by Earl Ashon and his crazy ex.
- Deer Commander - A necromancer in command of a joint goat-deer force under the king. Slain by Earl Sterling Silver.
- Dawn Glow - unicorn of unknown class - an ambassador from the faraway duchy of Canterlot on the King's court.
