  1. >I was really excited when we had our very first raft completed.
  2. >So much so that when it was done, very soon after I hijacked it to sail upriver on an adventure that lasted a couple days.
  3. >I saw quite a bit on those two days, but those are stories I can tell some other time.
  4. >When I returned, by my request one of the ponies who went hunting cockatrices brought me back a single cockatrice eye.
  5. >I haven't turned to stone by looking at it, so I can only guess it works only when attached to the creature. If all goes well, I can use it to replace my missing eye.
  6. >Doc said he'd look into it, which is good because I don't really want to try magically reattaching it myself. Until then,
  7. >The docks are starting to look better everyday, and while still no one has any magic, our crude tools allow us to shape the logs we have into planks.
  8. >That in mind, I think it's time we begin construction of our first real boat.
  9. >I may have to pull rank or owe favours to do it, but I'll need to get help on this.
  10.
  11. >In other news, I'll need to talk to whoever is going to be our mayor. We've begun our second week and I have no idea who's in charge.
  12. >Naturally, I'll have a spot as head waterponi in city council, but that won't mean much if I never know who else is in the council and how we decide things.
  13. >If I have spare time, I should also help in the other projects around town, once I get the boat done. I may not be good at magic at all, but I'm as strong as any earth pony.
  14. >Actually, speaking of which I'll need to talk to the magic instructors and the other unicorns. With how bad I am at magic, I'm a ticking timebomb.
