>Day 'I've lost count' in Equestria

>Construction of the docks is going better than expected

>I've only had a handful of ponies to help, but with the introduction of crude tools and combined musclepower we've been able to plant full-sized logs vertically into the river and put a sort of platform ontop of them.

>I've been getting strange looks, what I can only guess is because of the eyepatch and that I've been pitching in with the physical labour as much as the Earth Ponies, if not more than a few of them.

>But, after my last attempt at magic, I figure it will be safer if I just listened to the magic instructors and try later when I stop bumping my horn into things everytime I turn my head.

>In relation to my missing eye situation, no one's found it, but maybe the people talking about the cockatrice problem could get me a cockatrice eye if their trip goes violent.

>Note to self; ask Doc Hospik if getting a cockatrice eye to replace my old one is feasible.

 

>In other news, now that we have a "dock" to tie it to, my attention has turned to the construction of Four Cannon's first boat.

>Nopony has been able to catch any fish, and it seems that a big help would be if we could reach the center of the river, and be able to move location should we spot fish up or down river.

>Not that anypony working for me will confirm that we're trying to catch fish if asked.

>Some logs to roll together, some vines from the forest, and we have ourselves a raft.

>It's not much, but it's a start, and a great contribution to our dwindling food supply.

>I shall name it 'The Last Saskatchewan Pirate'
