<yetsturdy> My headcanon is becoming this: Celestia sensed when Twilight used alicorn magic when facing Sombre, and thought that this was the sign she'd been waiting for, that Twilight's friendship had grown so strong that she had tapped into the cosmic source of Alicorn magic power, and was ready to be tipped over the edge into full alicorn princesshood, wings and all.
<yetsturdy> But Celestia was mistaken, because she had not witnessed the corrupt dark aura that Twilight's horn takes on when she accesses alicorn magic.
