Title: S2 Luna Author: Anonymous Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/U0k97NFB First Edit: Friday 26th of June 2015 06:00:22 PM CDT Last Edit: Friday 26th of June 2015 06:00:22 PM CDT So about Luna's design... For God's sake just why. Why did they change her design? Not just the visuals, but the voice, the backstory, her identity, trademark, the potential interaction with Celestia and the main 6. It might as well be a new never-before-seen character. What reason did they have? It's like purposefully trying to be an asshole.   Luna's design  The hair style looks like two amoebas plastered onto her. Her coat color is too dark even for night time. Her giraffe neck is bigger than her body. The torso, flank, thighs are too small. The legs get thinner as they advance up her thigh. The horse head looks uglier than Celestia's and the original S1 Luna. The proportions are unequal to eachother, completely wrong proportions.   S2 Luna's wings shape is as badly designed as Twilight's. Wings are suppose to bend upwards, not horizontally. They look very flat, they don't seem to bend together backwards like bird wings are suppose to, the wing joints are too big compared to how small the wings are, plus they bend awkwardly, I repeat: Wings don't bend horizontally, it looks so inflexible and unpractical that I'm imagining back pains from a poor bird having to bear such wings.   Finer details: The eyelashes are uneven, the eye shape doesn't let the eye fit inside properly, her eyeliner is completely gone. (every single pony design has a tiny bit of eyeliner. Celestia has full eyeliner)   Trademark items: The sparkles on her slippers are gone and instead replaced with cheap after effects. Her slippers' color changed from baby blue to a faint silver. Her platechest looks even cheaper than S1's design. Compared to say Celestia's jewelry which is huge and decorated in swirls and gems. And crown shapes.    Her platechest is too small and instead of having a gem in it, it still has the moon. Most of her royal attire either degraded or remained the same, rather than improving. For example her black crown is still too small and it doesn't have a gem in it or anything fancy inside it. While Celestia's crown goes over her ears. Plus Luna's horn since S1 is thicker than Celestia's, they should have made it thinner to not cover up her tiny black crown.   Compare her design to: her old one, Celestia's design and to all the other ponies. It's like the same retard who designed Discord also made Luna. The whole design overall doesn't look like it was designed by an artist, but by some amateur who just picked up and drew the first thing that came to mind. The proportions are wrong, the anatomy is wrong and it's not aesthetically pleasing. If they wanted to pull off her intro book design from episode 1, then they did a horrible job. Even a cheap repaint of Celestia would have got the job done. Celestia's design is a masterpiece compared even to normal ponies and especially to Luna Eclipsed's design. Celestia has a unique eye shape designed to cater to her eye's needs.   So do they ever explain why exactly her design changed so much? Nope. Lauren said her bullshit with "she's growing in power, totally u guise", but to tell you the truth the reason for her design change is because they want S1 to fall in line with S2's new lolsorandumb direction. Yes even if it contradicts everything and it parodies the source material. It's like breaking a window and covering it up with dog shit in order to hide the flaws. Normally you cover it up flowers and grass, a fake fixed window or just try fixing the broken glass.   Speaking of the costumes, they're too generic. I've seen better costumes ideas from fanart and anywhere else. The costumes themselves could have transformed the ponies into monsters. Batponies, wereponies, skeleton ponies, zombie ponies, etc.
