-Episode begins on the trail of White Tailed Woods. Applejack leads Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Spike with buckets and sap straws in tow.
- AJ thanks everyone for helping out with swapping the sap buckets today.
- They all say they were more than happy to help, (Including Rarity, who makes passing comments about hoping that her hair does not get any sap in it.) but asked why Pinkie Pie did not come along.
- AJ remembers the last time Pinkie 'helped out' with the sap swapping. Few buckets survived her sweet tooth. But she made sure to have the perfect mare to help keep her busy. (Meanwhile, Fluttershy tries her best to keep Pinkie busy back in ponyville. Success can be varied, as it is not completely relevant to the main plot.)
- As the group is prepping to set up camp, Spike asks if there was anything he could do to help. Applejack, remembering the last time Spike helped with any hard labor, decides to try to distract him. She asks Rainbow Dash to take him out exploring in the woods.
- RD accepts, but Rarity and Twilight are skeptical of the safety of the forests. RD scoffs at their worry and reminds them that this wasn't Everfree. What could possibly be out there?
- The antlered shadow of a deer can be seen through the trees.
 
CUE INTRO
 
- Short Spike/RD dialogue
- Introduce Deer
- Redwood confronts RD and Spike. RD tells Spike to run as she leads the deer away.
- RD flies in front of Redwood and taunts him into coming after her. Spike tries to run, but Redwood rushing at RD bumps Spike and sends him tumbling down a grove.
- RD flies through the trees, but the agile Redwood easily keeps pace in his home turf, much to RD's surprise.
- Cut to AJ, Rarity, and Twilight
Outline, currently, can be summarized fairly well.
-Spike meets Treebark the same way.
-RD charges through the forest towards AJ Rarity and Purple Smart, but Redwood keeps pace before plowing through and spilling sap, sticking the buck to the ground.
-Redwood, refusing to believe the ponies even as he struggles to escape the sap, is finally told to calm his man titties by his wife, Maple Leaf.
-Meanwhile, Treebark agrees to help Spike find his pony friends, since he does not want his dad wrecking their shit. They travel about the forest, commence world building shit.
-RD goes off to find Spike alone, while AJ and the gang, along with the deer, go off to find him as well. More worldbuilding hooray.
