Title: Day 1 Geez... Who knew these parts could get so bloody hot. Who knew these parts could get so bloody hot. Not to mention the spiders, mosquitoes and all the other fauna around here. But watching the sun go down over the canopy, just kind of sets ones mind at ease, you know? And some of the plants I've found? Would make for great cataloging material for the Princess'.    Found this neat looking one with blue pedals, and almost bug like antennae type things sticking out the top of it. Will be collecting samples of it tomorrow. Who knows, maybe the Princess' know of it. But, finding this type of flora in this region may have some rather odd properties.    Haven't come across any sentient life yet. Hopefully I will. I would love to find out more about their culture, what they eat, what they do etc. etc. Pretty excited. Yet, at the same time, anxious. What if I screw up somehow? What if there's a miscommunication? Something gets lost in translation? Eh. Here's hoping for the best though.    Fire is dying out and the moon is coming along... Hopefully tomorrow will bring more luck. And here's hoping my wings won't be so cramped up. Flying can be such a task, you know?   Day 2 So, managed to successfully get some of those aforementioned plant samples. Used my trusty 'ol knife and a pair of tweezers just in case it was poisonous. Headed deeper into the jungle and encountered this most interesting beast. Think I've read it in a book before. A... Manticore, I think it was called? I think that's right... Thankfully, it was sleeping and snaked my way around it.    Although, can't help but have a, weird funny feeling brewing up inside me... Kind of hard to describe... But, here's hoping it wasn't caused by that plant I took a sample of.    Caught a whiff of smoke earlier as well. Am I getting close to sentient life? Here's hoping. Is it just a simple bush fire? I hope not... Also, as a side note, have seen prints that distinctively have the shape of hooves... May not be the only one out here. Will be doing a fly around tomorrow to get a better view, if I can shake this funny feeling off.   It also rained today. Though, it didn't feel like an average low pressure system. The air almost felt like it was being controlled. Is there a weather team out here? A princess? The feeling this jungle gives off? Or my funny feeling? Again, who knows.    It's been a hell of a time trying to dry out some wood for this fire, I can tell you that. Glad my journal didn't get wet.   Day 3 Well, it finally happened. I made contact with the locals around these parts! But in the most unfortunate circumstance. That plant I harvested had quite the adverse effect... I became unmotivated, dull and just overall lazy. But these locals, which have the most particular patterns on them, like stripes. But black and white with quite the, unique, looking jewelry. Nothing like I've ever seen before.    Thankfully, they knew just what to do with me. I'm just glad they spoke with me and explained what the plant was. Apparently it's a type of fauna called "poison joke". The way they made the cure for it though, there was quite the interesting selection of flowers and herbs put into the cure.    It strikes me that they're superb at alchemy and potion making, albeit synonymous. These hut type things they live in look pretty basic. Just a bunch of twigs, leaves and what looks like clay hold them together. I can't thank them enough for helping me out with that poison joke thing.    I want to question what they are and what they do more, but, they all seem to recommend rest more than anything. Thankfully, I'll be able to sleep more comfortably tonight instead of having to be half asleep and keep an eye and ear out for any dangers around, you know? What they prepared for dinner though, was one of those aforementioned creatures. The Manticore.    They also seem to have a limited supply of fruits and vegetables. Though, that's expected from a small village like this. These strange locals also, from what I gather, seem to be following a hierarchy type system. Hard to explain. I'll get more details on this tomorrow. For now, rest...
