Title: Anon Gets Ghost Kids Author: Anonymous Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/zsCFdVLC First Edit: Sunday 13th of December 2015 05:47:59 PM CDT Last Edit: Sunday 13th of December 2015 05:47:59 PM CDT >You fall back on the blankets of your bed. >Your little ghost floats down slowly to your side. “That was spooky.” >”Gets your heart racing, doesn’t it?” “Yeah, why should I giggle at ghosties when I could do that instead?” >”Anon, don’t say things like that! I’ll giggle at you and then you’ll disappear.” >She wraps her hooves around you, one of them going through you to get to the other side. >A chill goes up and down your spine as she slips it effortlessly through you. >”And I don’t want my Anon to disappear.” >She gives you a cold kiss on the cheek. >The moment seems to last forever, and then it starts to feel… >Warm. “Please tell me that’s not what I think it is.” >She pulls back, and the feeling disappears. >”What? -Oh!” >She scrunches up, and you can hear her straining. “What are you doing?” >She continues to strain and concentrate, her see-through face somehow red. >When suddenly she seems to pop back to normal. >”Don’t worry about it.” “Seriously, what was that?” >”It’s a little trick that keeps our haunted house clean and dust free, now shush and let me be a sleepy spirit.” >Well, you know when not to let her get her rest, so you leave her to her peace. >Shutting your eyes, everything goes dark. >During the night, you felt her cold embrace fade away. >She leaves to go haunt an object. She says it’s a more comfortable way for her to sleep. >”Anon, I made a surprise for you!” >You put your hands on your face and rub your eyes tiredly. “If it’s another heart-attack, so help me, you know who I’m gonna call…” >And two unfamiliar voices shriek excitedly. >”Daddy!” >what. >You shoot open your eyes, ignoring the sliver of light that usually burns your eyes, and see two smaller versions of your ghostly partner. >They look only slightly different, their high voices all too real.   >They wrap their own pairs of hooves around your legs, not nearly as cold as their mother. >They only manage to give you goosebumps, and then a shock of cold hits the rest of your body. >”So would you rather have the heart-attack?” “I think this still qualifies as just that.” >”So you’ll be a ghost with me, finally?” “How did… Does this mean…?” >She lets go, and floats down to her offspring. >”Well, I took a certain little part of you…” >While the miniatures nuzzle your legs, thankfully wrapped in pajamas, she gestures to the boxers underneath. >”And mixed it with a little part of me…” >She wraps her hooves around the pair and your legs, sending your legs into “let’s not freeze off” mode. >”And found a nice spooky place to make these two.” >They ignore their larger counterpart and continue to attempt to freeze your bones. “So, like, ghostly mitosis?” >”You could say that.” >You look back down at the trio, what would break other mortal men is... >Heartwarming. >Suddenly, she sticks a hoof through your chest. "Thanks for getting rid of the warm and fuzzy feeling." >"Anything for the stallion who knows death wont do us part."   >You tip toe over to the little brown pot. “Where are you, my little ghosties?” >You can hear them giggling, the little pot shaking and glowing with laughter. “Where could you possibly…” >You grab the pot, and begin to lift. >DING! >Ugh, who could that be? “You win this time, little wisps.” >Their giggling continues to mock you, as you leave to open the door. >”Anon? Anon are you in there?” >You’ve been spending most your time in your house of horrors, with your little horrors. >So, you haven’t had time to…Go out. >”Ah, there you are Anon!” “Hey there Twilight, what brings you this part of town?” >It was more like ‘the middle of nowhere’ than a ‘part of town’. >It was quite a walk away from Ponyville, living up to the stereotypical haunted house. >Far away, on a hill, two stories high, a broken window or two thanks to a reckless Little League. >But, in the light of a cloudless day like today, it seemed like a normal house. >”The girls and I were wondering if you could come out and join us for a picnic?” >She steps back, and all her friends smile and wave. >”What’s been coopin’ you up in there for so long, Anon?” >”Yeah, what gives?” >”Maybe he’s getting a surprise ready for all of us! Is it a surprise ‘Nonny? Is it?” >You turn your head, and look at Spooky. >She looks down at the floor, still a little shy about meeting the living. >Could she even leave the house? >A disappointed frown forms on your face as you turn back to the group. “Sorry, I’m…” >You look back and see your two little ones being held back by Spooky as she tries to stop them from seeing who’s at the door. “Busy.” >”Busy?” >”What could you possibly be busy with, dear?” “Well, sorry to point out the obvious but…” >You point at the obvious. >Windows, floor, a little bit of roof. “This place still needs a little more dusting off.”   >”Well at this rate you’ll up an work yourself to the bone!” >”Yeah, really Anon, if you spent all that time working just the interior I think you deserve a well-earned break.” >Twilight, why do you have to be smart? “Well, I’m busy with some other things too. Like, uh…” >A single spider comes down from above like a sign from the heavens. “Pest control, yeah. Lots of spiders that I need to-“ >”W-well, I could come by after the picnic and round them up somewhere else.” >A nervous bead of sweat forms on your forehead. >How would Spooky take this? >You can’t just leave her by herself with the wisps and what would she think if you went out with six other mares for a ‘picnic’? >It’d take at least a day, they seem like time isn’t existent. >You look back for a little help, but she’s still trying her best to hold back the little ones. >You really got to come up with names for those two… >”’Nonny, what are you busy with? You keep looking away and looking back at us. It’s like you’ve seen a ghost!” “Yeah, guess you could say I have.” >You lean on the doorway and try to block their view in on the inside. >”Seriously bud, what’s the big deal? A little sun never hurt anypony.” >”You still didn’t answer us, darling, what you were up to?” “Well, I have a wife and two foals, so I’m busy with that.” >Twilights eyes shoot wide. >Pinkie and Dash chuckle to themselves and AJ simply shakes her head with a grin. >Fluttershy and Rarity, however, don’t seem to have picked up on the sarcasm you /tried/ to hint at. >”Really? Who is she? How did you meet?” >”He was just pullin’ your leg, Rarity.” >”Well, I CERTAINLY did not hear a hint of a lie in what he said.” “Calm down Rarity, I was kidding.” >You turn back, and see Spooky is far more than just a little mad.   >You point at your ring-less finger, and silently mouth ‘for now’. >She glares at you only for a moment, and then realized where rings on humans go. >Her little muzzle goes red, somehow, and she flies off into the attic after the wisps. >And idea pops into your cranium. “How about we just bring the picnic in here? Give you a little tour of the place, relax and chat about current events, all in the comfort of my new home?” >The girls seem a little surprised, like it wasn’t considered. >”Well, that sounds just fine. What do you girls think?” >”T-that’d be nice.” >”I wouldn’t mind.” >”Was this the surprise?!” >”Then it’s settled! When would you like us over? We understand if the place may be a little, heh, dusty.” >You look at the sun in the distance, slowly falling from its former positon. “Yeah, give me an hour or two to tidy up.” >Faint laughter from the wisps diverts your attention, and you turn around expecting heavy damage. >Pots and furniture still in place… >Nothing moved. >What are they up to? >”Excellent! We’ll see you then!” >They turn and begin to walk away, and you shut the door and turn around. >You slide down the door and wait for them to come out. >But Spooky only pokes her head from the attic, her neck not acknowledging the ceiling. >”They seem nice.” “So you don’t mind the neighbors?” >”Not at all, I mind this house still being dusty, though.” >You look around, tables and windows outlined with debris. >”And I think you should be the one to clean up this time.” “Why me?” >”Well, I for one don’t think it’s a good idea to herd six ponies, three ghosts, and a human into one house.” >She pulls herself through the ceiling and floats over to a shelf. >”Not to mention I didn’t get a single say in any of it.” >She picks up a duster and floats it over to you and drops it in your lap.   >”And I’m the one who had to hold back two restless spirits for you-“ >You wave your hand and grab the duster with the other. “I got it, I got it.” >She crosses her hooves as her little ghost-tail curls up. “Are you upset you won’t be able to eat anything?” >”N-no, I’m upset that…” “They’re good friends, no reason to be scared of them.” >She looks at you unsurely. “Besides, you could even make a few new friends.” >And the ghost goes whiter than a ghost, and she flees up back into the attic. >You look at the duster in your hand and back to the large house. >”I expect it done by the time they come back!” >Oh the struggle.
