Title: 4C item statistics and descriptions (WIP) Padded Armour Class - Light AC Bo Author: Anonymous Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/j5SLTdxN First Edit: Thursday 9th of October 2014 05:49:49 AM CDT Last Edit: Thursday 9th of October 2014 05:49:49 AM CDT 4C item statistics and descriptions (WIP)   Padded Armour Class - Light AC Bonus: +1 Max Dodge: +8 Check Penalty: 0 Weight: 1.5   Hewn from thick quilted wool and cotton with the occasional leather binding here and there to secure it in place. More akin to a thick jacket than actual armour. It provides warmth, shelter from the elements and imposes little to no restrictions on movement, a favorite amongst travellers, looters and those who wish to remain light on their hooves.   Hide Armour Class - Medium AC Bonus: +4 Max Dodge: +4 Check Penalty: -3   Weight: 4.0   More common amongst bandits, this armour is crafted straight from the tanned and preserved hides of various thickskinned animals, with some of the fur left in for a more imposing effect upon cowering merchants and/or bewildered guards. Whilst it may appear primitive and unreliable, it is actually well crafted. Serving as a good middle ground between light and medium. It offers mobility as well as a decent level of protection against conventional weaponry and harsh weather. Since this armour is normally found on bandits and other Ne'er-do-well's, it's inaccurate to suggest that the Hide Armour conforms to a set standard in terms of aesthetics, but it's never something you'd wear on a night out in the town. Unless you were pillaging it of course.   Common Garb Class - Clothing AC Bonus: 0 Max Dodge: Unhindered Check Penalty: 0 Weight: 0.3   Cannonite's clothing which covers most of the body in a comfy, warm layer of cloth, with a distinct crumpling conical hood which is reminiscent of an archetypical wizard's hat. Although this is merely an embellishment and only serves to repel the rain and/or sun. Common garb for the pony about town, the style is indicative of the far flung town's seamstress' designs. Curious, yet alluring all the same to the native Equestrian, it may take off as some kind of alien fashion in the coming seasons.   Leather Armour: Class - Light AC Bonus: +2 Max Dodge: +6 Check Penalty: 0   Weight: 3.0   The classic light armour, forged from specialist tanners and armourers and used by a wide variety of ponies in a multitude of situations, with usually successful results. This armour has long been a favourite of adventuring Pegasi for its excellent functionality and relative protection. The base Leather Armour is forged from animal hides which have been tanned and crafted into a form upon which the wearer is free to customise as they see fit. Usually allowing space for some travelling gear and weaponry. Anypony aspiring for adventure is almost certain to wear this at some point in their journey.   Fine Outfit: (Diplomacy bonus maybe?) Class - Clothing AC Bonus: 0 Max Dodge: Unhindered Check Penalty: 0 Weight: 0.5   No expense has been spared for these formal robes, custom tailored to fit the pony destined to wear them, they exhude grace, authority and good manners. At least until somepony starts pouring the sherry by the pints. Designs on fine clothing such as this vary greatly and can be attributed to not only the pony's social standing, but their culture and personality as well. A true tailor can reflect the very essence of a pony by what they wear. It's a statement to the world in which they proudly trot. This particular outfit must have belonged to one of Four Cannon's council members, to be worn when entertaining guests from the mainland. Which begs the question; How did YOU get your hooves on it?   Half-Plate Armour: Class - Heavy AC Bonus: +8 Max Dodge: 0 Check Penalty: -7 Weight: 9.0   This suit of armour, probably a smithy's first attempt at platemail, was designed to be a hybrid between solid plates of iron or steel, interlinked with chainmail so as to not be so imposing upon one's mobility. Generally though, it's described as an "Almost there" type of armour. Which, whilst it certainly provides an excellent level of protection, usually falls short when put next to expertly-crafted full-plate armour. But such specimens are often only available to those with the heaviest of purses and some mercenaries and warbands have found a place for this armour in their hearts. It's also relatively easier to repair and upkeep as well. "Almost there" trumps bare coated in battle anyway.
