- >Twilight walks back downstairs, and you sit down on the bed and take off your shoes, and place your shield on the floor before getting in.
- >The bed really is quite comfortable. The pillow and mattress are soft, but not too soft. The quilt is warm and not too heavy. Sure beats the stone bench you slept on last night.
- >Twilight soon returns, with two floating glasses of water and the book from the coffee table.
- >She sets a glass on your table, and levitates the book towards you.
- >"Anon, When I was sorting through some books earlier, I came across this one, and thought you might find it interesting."
- "Hmhm, thank you."
- >Twilight slowly walks over to her bed, and gets in. She lights her candle, then retrieves a book from under her pillow. With a quill from her bedside table, she begins writing in it.
- >You see a small bookmark about a third of the way through the book Twilight gave you. You open it on the marked page.
- >The left page is occupied entirely by a picture of a familiar beast.
- >"Wyverns...", The book reads...
- >"...Are wild, vicious, and cruel winged serpents. Like their distant cousins, the dragons, they can fly, and breathe fire. Unlike dragons, however, wyverns are soulless, evil monsters which possess no emotions, and feel nothing beyond an instinctive desire to prey upon smaller creatures..."
- >So, they're like the wyverns of your legends?
- >You spend the next ten minutes looking through the book. It contains a lot of familiar mythical creatures.
- >Hydra, Manticore, Cockatrice...
- >And a strange creature, which looks a lot like the silhouette on the front of the book. It's called a "Draconequus".
- >You read a few more pages, and come across another familiar beast, which, you learn, is a "Timberwolf".
- >The picture shows a small pack of them. Luckily, you only had to deal with one.
- >...Jumping iguana on a stick, Cerberus is here too!
- >And if the wyvern from earlier is any indication, these creatures aren't really mythical; they actually exist!
- >You take a moment to let that set in, then place the book on the bedside table.
- >You turn to look at the window. The moon is watching dutifully over all of Equestria.
- >Spike is sleeping peacefully in his basket. You can hear him snoring very quietly.
- >Twilight also seems to have fallen asleep. You can't help but notice how adorable she looks, all snug in her bed. Hmhm.
- >All is well in the library. You lie flat on your back, and pull the quilt up to your neck.
- >As you begin to drift away, you hear a sleepy little voice from the other bed.
- >"Goodnight, Anon."
- "...Goodnight."
- >...
- >...
- >...Darkness. Darkness everywhere.
- "...Hello?"
- >No response.
- "Where am I?"
- >Nothing.
- >...Hm. You feel kind of strange.
- >You lift your right arm, and examine it. For some reason, it's all ghostly. And purple.
- >...And your entire body is like this. What's going on? Are you dead?
- >Oh, right. You're dreaming. Nevermind.
- >you touch your left hand with your right. Your hands feel not like solid matter, but like water. You move your right hand over your heart, which is beating slowly.
- >It's also glowing, visible through your ghostly form.
- >...That's so weird.
- >Your vision begins to fade, and you feel yourself slipping away into a dreamless slumber.
- >...
- >"...anon..."
- >You feel something shake your arm gently.
- >"...Wake up, Anon."
- "...mmhhmm..."
- >"Hmhm, come on, mister."
- >You open your eyes. For a moment your vision is blurred, but it quickly becomes clear.
- >"Good morning, Anon."

- "...Oh, Miss Twilight... Good morning."
- >You yawn, then slowly move the quilt and sit up.
- >"Did you sleep well? You still seem a little tired."
- "Uh... Um, yes, I slept quite well. I just need a minute to wake up properly."
- >A minute or two later, your drowsiness subsides and you stand up.
- >"Come with me, Anon."
- >As you follow Twilight, You notice she's levitating some kind of small, pink plastic bottle beside her.
- >She leads you into another, smaller room, which appears to be a bathroom. There is a bathtub, which is currently a little over halfway full, and rising. The steam rising from the water would suggest it is very warm.
- >"I thought you might like to take a bath, Anon. You're still a little sooty from yesterday."
- >Twilight turns the tap off, and dips the tip of her hoof into the water.
- >"Hm, it's nice and warm. Now, Fluttershy said your hair is probably different than ours, so I thought you could use this."
- >Twilight gives you the pink bottle, and you take a quick look at it. The label shows a little, smiling pink pony.
- >"It's filly shampoo, so it's milder than the usual stuff. It should work great for you!"
- "Hm, thank you."
- >"Now, when you're all nice and clean, come downstairs and we'll get you some breakfast."
- "Alrighty, then."
- >"Oh, and there's a hairdryer in the cabinet over there. Make sure you don't turn it to the highest setting, it might singe your hair a little."
- >Twilight heads out of the room, and closes the door behind her.
- >A short while later, you stand in front of the mirror, gently running your hands through your hair. That filly shampoo Twilight gave you seems to have worked very well. The hair dryer, on the lowest setting, has left your hair dry, but not drained of moisture.
- >You made sure to shake your clothes free of any soot remnants before you put them back on. The charred areas are a little irritating to your skin, but you won't have to tolerate that for much longer. You're going to go and see Rarity after breakfast, and assuming she didn't get caught up with anything, she'll have your new clothes ready.
- >You return the hairdryer to the cabinet, and make your way downstairs.
- >Arriving downstairs, you hear a few voices coming from the kitchen.
- >One voice is rather quiet... Fluttershy must be here. You can only just make out what she's saying.
- >"...So Anon was... All alone, by himself?"
- >You step into the kitchen, drawing everyp0ny's attention.
- >"Oh, here he is!"
- >"Morning, Anon!"
- >Says Spike, who is wearing a very nice red scarf.
- >"Um, hi, Anon."
- "Good morning, Spike. Miss Fluttershy."
- >You take a seat at the kitchen table.
- >"Would you like some toast, Anon?"
- "Yes please, Miss Twilight."
- >Twilight levitates two slices of toast onto the plate in front of you.
- >"So, the filly shampoo seems to have worked. Your hair looks great, Anon."
- "Oh yes, it worked quite well. Thank you. And you too, Miss Fluttershy. How'd you know about my hair?"
- >"Oh, I didn't, really. I'm just very, um... Intuitive, when it comes to caring for other creatures."
- >You eat a slice of toast.
- "That's a nice scarf, Mister Spike."
- >"Heh-heh, thanks. Rarity made it for me."
- >You can feel a lot of adoration in Spike's voice.
- >"Say, she's making you some new clothes, right?"
- "Uh-huh."
- >"Well, I'm telling you right now, they'll be awesome. Nop0ny in all of Equestria could ever hope to match Rarity's skill and creativity. Why, she's simply the greatest, most talented... most beautiful p0ny... who ever lived... Hmhm."
- >Spike seems to have slipped into some kind of trance. His eyes are staring at absolutely nothing, and little hearts are bubbling over his head while he strokes the scarf he's wearing.
- >Twilight and Fluttershy both giggle quietly.
- >You finish your toast, and drink a glass of water before saying goodbye to Twilight, Fluttershy, and Spike, who is still half entranced.
- >It's time to go and collect your new clothes.
