>"Twilight... There's some kinda flying snake monster... coming this way!"
>"What?"
>"Yeah... I was flying back from Cloudsdale... And it just came outta nowhere and started chasing me."
>"So you brought it here??"
>Twilight looks confused, and a little mad.
>"Not on purpose! I thought I gave it the slip in the ghastly gorge, but it must have found me again."
>"RAAAAAAAGGHHH!!"
>As you look skyward, the source of the terrible screeching comes into view.
>About a hundred feet in the air, is a large, but slender, dragon-like creature. Its leathery skin is mostly dark purple, except for the inner membranes of its wings, which are a sickly dark green. It has two legs with sharp talons, and a long neck. Its head is serpent-like, with two cruel, red eyes and large fangs.
>"What is it, Twahlite? Some kinda dragon?"
>"No. It's-"
"A wyvern."
>"...Yeah. That's right, Anon..."
 
>For a few seconds, it just keeps itself aloft with slow beats of its wings.
>Then, it screeches once more, and swoops down, landing in the middle of the square. This close, you can now see it's about 10 feet tall at the shoulders, and probably three times as long from it's head to the tip of it's tail.
>By now, everyp0ny in town is terrified. Some are just running, while others are hiding in shops and houses.
>Fluttershy is now hiding behind the table, with Rarity, who is trying to calm her.
>The two soldiers approach the wyvern, each gripping a sword in their mouth.
 
>The wyvern notices the soldiers, and whips at them with its tail.
>The soldiers try to avoid the wyvern's attack, but they're not fast enough. They're both sent flying back several feet, and they drop their swords. They appear to have been knocked unconscious.
>Rainbow Dash suddenly leaps off the ground, and launches herself at the wyvern at a high speed.
>The creature doesn't see her coming, and flinches when Rainbow strikes it in the face with a hoof.
>It snarls, then snaps at Rainbow Dash with its fangs, but she's too fast for it.
>It snaps again, and the pegasus dodges.
>Before the wyvern can ready another strike, a lasso passes over its head, and tightens around its neck.
>You look at the other end of the rope, and see none other than Applejack holding it tightly in her mouth, while she struggles with the beast.
>Somehow, she seems to be able to match the wyvern's strength. How can one little pony be so strong?
>For a moment, Applejack looks like she's winning the tug of war until the beast lashes its head to the left, which drags Applejack off the ground, and sends her flying towards an empty market stall.
>"AHH!"
>Applejack yelps, as she crashes into the stall, causing it to collapse on her.
>"APPLEJA-oof!"
>While she's distracted by Applejack's cry, the wyvern bats Rainbow Dash with its wing, and she is sent hurtling towards a wall.
>Rainbow hits the wall with a thud, and falls to the ground. She tries briefly to get back up, before collapsing.
>This causes Fluttershy to burst into tears, while the other ponies remain silent.
 
>"HEEEEEEY!"
>Twilight shouts, with rage in her eyes. Her horn begins to glow very brightly, and her purple aura envelops a large tree nearby, ripping it out of the ground with little effort.
>Woah.
>Twilight flings the tree at the monster, which inhales deeply.
>A second before the tree would have struck the wyvern, it breaths a huge blast of orange fire which obliterates most of the tree, leaving only a few charred splinters.
>Out of the corner of its eye, the creature notices Applejack, who is trying to crawl out from under the collapsed stall.
>"RAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHH!"
>It turns to face her.
>Without waiting another moment, you run towards Applejack and take a hold of your shield.
>The wyvern inhales once more.
"Anon!"
>You hear Twilight's cry, but you don't stop running. You're only seconds away from Applejack.
>The beast stops taking in air, and there is a moment of silence before it unleashes another inferno.
>The other ponies are screaming, but you can barely hear them above the roaring flames.
>And, it just dawned on you...
>...That this could be the end.
