  1. WiP - Will continue once I rewrite it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  2.
  3. Raised by the dragons, Anon is forced to leave when he couldn't travel with them during the migration. Setting out for Canterlot to start a new life a rumor spreads around Equestria, that he's dangerous. Promptly getting arrested, he was given the option of marrying Celestia or being thrown in prison. And so, his new life starts.

  11.
  12. >It’s been weeks since you’ve last seen anyone, or had an actual conversation.
  13. >You’ve been stuck in your room a few days now, playing with an old chess set you found in one of the closet.
  14. >It’s not as fun as having a real opponent, but you make do with the current situation.
  15. >You’re a prisoner in here.
  16. >It doesn’t seem like it, but you are.
  17. >The council had said that you were to be confined in your room until they figure out what to do with you.
  18. >Even though they were gracious enough to give you a room of your own it still feels like a prison.
  19. >Complete with a bed, extra clothes and a shower.
  20. >You can leave your room if you wish to, you just have to ask nicely, and if the guard is willing enough to walk with you through the castle.
  21. >Sometimes it’s not worth the trouble and sometimes they will downright ignore you.
  22. >Only when you started shouting that they finally decided to escort you to the kitchen and get some food.
  23. >You look outside the window in your room.
  24. >It’s a small window, preventing you from escaping, or throwing yourself off the tower.
  25. >It’s evening.
  26. >Sleeping here is impossible; the bed is too soft and comfy to your liking.
  27. >You miss sleeping inside the caves, or under the stars.
  28. >You miss the feel of the wind on your skin and the sounds of the crickets.
  29. >And most of all, you miss the dragons that raised you.
  30. >Sighing to yourself you move a piece on the chess board.
  31. >You’re winning.
  32.
  33. >You hear a knock at the door.
  34. >“Excuse me, but it’s almost time. You need to get ready now,” a voice calls to you just outside.
  35. >The lock outside opens with a click and a white unicorn steps inside.
  36.
  37. >As you get out of your chair, annoyed and nervous, you contemplate on taking a shower.
  38. >Tonight is special after all, plus it will help you calm down.
  39. “I’ll take a shower first.”
  40. >The unicorn jumps in shock, her face showing surprise.
  41. >The council must have told her lies about you.
  42. >You heard the guards talking outside once.
  43. >They were saying that you were able to breathe fire, or how your teeth are as sharp as a dragon’s.
  44. >A creature that crawled out of the depths of Tartarus into Equestria.
  45. >But the one that sticks to you was that they called you a beast, unable to be reasoned with and has to be guarded at all times.
  46. >And they all believe it.
  47. >You hope that the ponies here would not listen to these silly rumors, but they did, and it spread like wildfire.
  48. >With a nod she sits down on one of the chairs, waiting for you.
  49. >Entering the shower, you remember the events that brought you here in the first place.
  50.
  51. >You were still a child when you arrived in Equestria.
  52. >The dragons were the first one to find you.
  53. >Surprisingly, instead of eating you, they took you in as one of their own.
  54. >They raised you, taught you everything you needed to know, and more.
  55. >It was a hard life, being different and weak from everyone else.
  56. >But you still managed it.
  57. >It toughened you up, and made you smarter than most.
  58. >Then the time of the migration came.
  59. >Preparations were being made; the dragons would eat a lot, stuffing themselves so they can fly for weeks without stopping, their treasures and gems all hidden so no wanderer can steal them.
  60. >And you couldn’t come with them.
  61. >The journey alone would have killed you, so you had to stay behind.
  62. >Instead of following them and risking your life, you made plans to go to Canterlot instead, the capital of Equestria.
  63. >There you can start a new life.
  64. >But when you arrived you were promptly arrested and taken straight to the Princess.
  65. >There was a rumour going around of a dragon traveling straight to Canterlot.
  66. >Technically it’s true, you still do belong to one of the dragon clans but you weren’t a dragon per se.
  67. >It didn’t stop them from arresting you however and dragging you to see the Princess.
  68. >She didn’t know what to do with you, so she ordered you to stay in a room until they figure out what to do.
  69. >Few days later they announced that you were to be married to the Princess.
  70. >And that’s that.
  71. >You wanted to start a new life in Canterlot and now you’re marrying the Princess.
  72. >Congratulations.
  73.
  74. >After you finish with your shower and calming down a considerable amount, the unicorn stood up and introduced herself.
  75. >“Hello Mr.Anonymous, my name is Rarity and I’ll be helping you get dressed for tonight.”
  76. >Nodding, you finish drying yourself with the towel and proceed to follow the unicorn to her chambers.
  77. >It isn’t a long walk but the silence was uncomfortable.
  78. >It also doesn’t help when there are guards following you ready to pounce on you at a moment’s notice.
  79. >Thankfully her room is close to yours and you don’t dwell on the awkward situation too much.
  80. >She motions a hoof at one of the stools surrounded by three large mirrors.
  81. >You take your place and she gets to work.
  82. >Occasionally she would lift your arm using her magic but other than that you just stood there doing nothing.
  83. >As she worked on you, you’re left with your own thoughts again.
  84.
  85. >Every once in a while you glance at one of the mirrors to memorize the unicorn better.
  86. >A nasty habit you’ve developed over the years.
  87. >Being raised by dragons, you had to find a way to compensate for your ‘weaknesses’.
  88. >You’re not as strong or as fast as a dragon, you can’t spew fire from your mouth nor fly and your lifespan is merely a speck compared to theirs.
  89. >So what can Anonymous the human do?
  90. >You can think, you can form plans in your head and find the best outcome
  91. >And best of all, you can outsmart anyone, given enough time that is.
  92. >You like to call it brain over brawn.
  93. >And you accomplish this by paying attention to details no matter how small.
  94. >You remember the time you offended a young dragon once.
  95. >Calling him words he doesn’t know the meaning of made him boil with anger, but you were still insulting him.
  96. >‘Frivolous’ is the word you use before he started attacking you.
  97. >It was quite fun actually.
  98. >They made you feel weak and you made them feel stupid.
  99. >It seems fair.
  100. >The only reason you were able to survive was because every time the dragon breaths fire his left eye would close.
  101. >All you had to do is move to his blind spot and let him tire himself out.
  102. >On that day you learned that every little detail counts.
  103.
  104. >You’re able to memorize her face, her body, even her smell.
  105. >It’s boring work to say the least, but at least if she tries to kill you, you can give a precise description.
  106. >You doubt the guards guarding the door will speak in your defense.
  107. >She doesn’t talk much as she is working on you; when she needs you to turn around she would forcibly turn you with her magic instead.
  108. >It was quite annoying.
  109. >But you let it go; this has always been the norm for you, everyone treating you like some third-class citizen.
  110. >The dragons don’t accept you and now these ponies, it’s nothing new.
  111. >You could tell she was nervous though, afraid of you.
  112. >These stupid rumors are spreading fast.
  113. >Maybe that’s why she doesn’t want to talk to you?
  114. >You want to make her feel relaxed, to lighten the mood so to speak.
  115. >But it’s been so long since you’ve had a proper conversation, you don’t know how to start one.
  116. >Dragons aren’t exactly known for their conversational skills.
  117. >What exactly do you say?
  118. >‘Hello, my name is Anonymous and I’m a human raised by dragons.’
  119. >Yeah, that’ll work; they don’t even know what a human is.
  120. >They might think it’s something dangerous, and not to mention being raised by dragons.
  121. >That’ll go really well.
  122. >Something dangerous raising something else that’s dangerous.
  123.
  124. >“Done,” you hear her say.
  125. >You look at the mirror and you see yourself wearing a black suit.
  126. >You remember seeing this once, when you were back home, your real home on earth.
  127. >It’s only used for special occasions.
  128. >They must have made it especially for you, custom made.
  129. >The white unicorn has done an exceptionally amazing job, you really should thank her.
  130. >Before you can say your thanks, you hear the door shutting.
  131. >Yup, they’re afraid to be near me.
  132.
  133. >Looking back at the mirror you can’t help but feel nervous.
  134. >You do your breathing exercises to try to calm down.
  135. >Tonight has to be perfect.
  136. >Deciding you’re just stalling for time you step out of the room and make your way to the courtyard.
  137. >You don’t know the exact layout of the castle but at least you know enough to get to the courtyard.
  138. >You don’t want to ask directions from the guard, he would probably just stay silent refusing to answer you.
  139. >Luckily the whole castle is empty during this time, so you don’t see anyone.
  140. >Finally, you find yourself in the main hallway; you can see the stained glass that tells the history of Equestria.
  141. >You can’t examine them in detail at the moment; you have other appointments to attend to.
  142.
  143. >As you enter the courtyard, your senses are assaulted.
  144. >The first thing you notice is the smell, the bright lights blinding you.
  145. >You can smell the flowers, roses, lilac being the most noticeable.
  146. >There’s also a soft melody playing in the background that almost lulls you to sleep.
  147. >As soon as your eyes adjust from the light, you see white everywhere.
  148. >The color white being the most dominant color, the chairs are white, the ribbons and even the confetti raining down is color white.
  149. >If it wasn’t for the flowers and the warm temperature, you could have sworn you stepped into a winter wonderland.
  150. >The perimeter is surrounded by hundreds of flowers; notably all of them are summer flowers.
  151. >Red, blue, orange, purple, yellow, all types of colors contrasting the white background.
  152. >Quite a change from the empty castle.
  153. >There are ponies here already, that’s what you get for taking so long.
  154. >The mares wore white and yellow dresses while the stallions wore a simple dark tuxedo.
  155. >They’re conversing with each other already, which means they have an excuse to ignore you. >And you prefer it that way.
  156. >But you can still feel their eyes focusing towards you as you stood in place, taking in the scenery.
  157.
  158. >You finally get a better look at the courtyard.
  159. >It is beautiful, perfect for tonight’s proceedings.
  160. >You can see a group of chairs, one group in the left and one group in the right.
  161. >The white carpet covering the dirt path in the middle.
  162. >The color matches the chairs and the ribbons strewn about.
  163. >At the side you can see tables with food, surprisingly they have fish.
  164. >Only a single plate though; it was nice of them to serve meat for you.
  165. >And at the end you see the altar.
  166.
  167. >You are Anonymous and today is your wedding day.
  168. >The council has instructed you to not screw this up or it would end horribly for everyone.
  169. >Just say your lines and everything will be fine.
  170. >Don’t say anything else.
  171. >Don’t look around.
  172. >Don’t fidget.
  173. >And most importantly, don’t offend anyone.
  174. >Jeez, it’s like they don’t trust you.
  175. >It’s understandable, but still, it feels like they’re treating you like some stupid animal.
  176. >As you take your place in the altar waiting for your bride to be, you can’t help but glance through the crowd.
  177. >Usually your family and friends would sit on the right side while your bride’s family sits on the left, but since you had none, all the guests sat on both sides.
  178. >Looking around just notice that you don’t even know their names, not a single one.
  179. >At your side is your best man or whatever it’s called for ponies.
  180. >You don’t even know his name, it was Amour or something.
  181. >Something related to love.
  182. >Whatever it is you don’t care.
  183. >You just wanted tonight to be over with.
  184.
  185. >They say a wedding is full of love, and sappy emotions.
  186. >Your wedding however has none.
  187. >You don’t love her, hell you don’t even know her.
  188. >Aside from her name, what exactly do you know about her?
  189. >She’s a princess, she has a sister and she raises the sun.
  190. >...
  191. >That’s all you know.
  192. >Fuck.
  193. >Is this how it’s going to be for you, getting married at such a young age to a mare a thousand times older than you, a mare that you don’t even know?
  194. >Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
  195. >You consider running away now, maybe you can chance it.
  196. >But then you spot the guards, you won’t even make it outside the castle.
  197. >You are stuck.
  198. >While all this is going on inside your head, you fail to notice the ponies entering, filling each of the empty seats.
  199. >The music grows louder and louder.
  200. >It’s starting now.
  201. >Everyone stands up facing the door.
  202. >She’s close now, you can hear her footsteps.
  203. >Then she comes into view.
  204.
  205. >For a moment, time stops, she looks beautiful.
  206. >Her mane, her naturally white coat, and her grace.
  207. >Everything about her screams ‘out of your league’.
  208. >But you’re getting married to her right now.
  209. >You can’t feel your legs, it’s hard to breathe, your palms are sweaty, and it takes everything you have to stay in place.
  210. >She’s looking at you now, her white veil covering her face but you’re able to see through it.
  211. >Her magenta eyes looking into yours.
  212. >She proceeds to walk towards you, her eyes not leaving yours for a moment.
  213. >Your heart is beating a mile a minute, she’s close now, you can even smell her perfume.
  214. >Smells like flowers.
  215. >She’s standing beside you, still looking at your eyes never wavering.
  216. >You remove the white veil covering her face and for the first time, you fully see her.
  217. >Princess Celestia.
  218. >It’s like staring at the sun, you want to look away, but she’s too beautiful.
  219. >You try to memorize her, your eyes hungrily searching her face.
  220. >Her eyes are the most noticeable, then you move to her nose, her lips, her ears.
  221. >Everywhere you look, you find something new about her.
  222. >It seems like she’s doing the same to you.
  223. >You want to say ‘you’re beautiful’ but that isn’t enough.
  224. >Alluring, angelic, appealing, charming, dazzling, elegant, enticing, exquisite, lovely, pleasing, radiant, stunning, sublime, wonderful.
  225. >All of these words describes her, and yet none of them can compare to her beauty.
  226. >You open your mouth to speak; she smiles to you and turns to face the altar.
  227. >Right, no speaking unless you need to.
  228.
  229. >It’s the younger sister that will marry the both of you, the moon pony, Luna was her name.
  230. >The Princess wants her sister to marry you both, and Luna wants to do it in the middle of the night.
  231. >You had no say in the matter of course; they just told you the date on when to marry Princess Celestia.
  232. >They said that you didn’t need to concern yourself with the minor details.
  233. >The wedding itself was short and simple.
  234. >You and Princess Celestia says your vows and the ‘I do’s’ without any problems.
  235. >And as a symbol and proof of your marriage, you wore a ring on your finger with a sun insignia embedded in it, while the Princess wore a necklace of a similar design.
  236. >When it was time to kiss her, you both blush.
  237. >Your first kiss is at your wedding, some might say it’s sweet, waiting for the perfect moment, and other may call it lame.
  238. >But for some reason, you can’t care about any of that.
  239. >Looking at Princess Celestia’s blushing face, you can tell this will be her first kiss too.
  240. >That gives you courage for some reason.
  241. >Cupping her chin in your palm, you guide her lips to yours.
  242. >A small and light kiss.
  243. >Nothing too intense or stimulating for the Princess.
  244. >You broke the kiss and you look at her.
  245. >She’s blushing, you’re blushing.
  246. >She’s smiling, you’re smiling.
  247. >The first time tonight, you are smiling.
  248. >From happiness?
  249. >Probably not.
  250. >From the absurdity of the situation?
  251. >Most likely.
  252.
  253. >As you step down from the altar with the Princess, the ponies rises out of their seats and begins to crowd around her.
  254. >Congratulating her on her marriage and asking what she plans to do now.
  255. >You can see flashes of lights from the cameras and you do your best to smile, but right now, all you want is to be left alone.
  256. >Since no one was talking to you, you decide to back away a bit, to give Princess Celestia the spotlight.
  257. >She knows what you’re planning and your back is met with her wing, pulling you closer to her.
  258. >It feels warm.
  259. >She said her ‘thank you’s to everyone and both of you made your way to the castle for the reception.
  260.
  261. >You both take your place at the end of the great hall.
  262. >The Princess begins her speech, something about new beginnings.
  263. >When she finishes, more claps and pictures.
  264. >It’s like they want to give you a headache, and it is working.
  265. >The waiters finally brings you your food and you dig in.
  266. >You aren’t particularly hungry but at least it’s something else to do other than smiling.
  267. >You’re about to ask for seconds when the Princess speaks to you.
  268. >The first time tonight.
  269. >“Are you enjoying yourself Anonymous?”
  270. “Yes I am,” you smile, “and you?”
  271. >“Likewise.”
  272. >...
  273. >And more silence.
  274. >You want to say something, relieve the tension.
  275. “Would you like to dance, Princess?”
  276. >Fuck, not that.
  277. >A smile finds its way to her lips, “Yes, I would love to.”
  278. >Shit, you better tell her the truth.
  279. “Just so you know I don’t know how to dance.”
  280. >She lightly laughs at that, “You were raised by the longest living species in Equestria, and you tell me they didn’t teach you how to dance?”
  281. >You shrug.
  282. >“It’s quite alright, just follow my lead,” she says as she pulls you to the center of the room.
  283. >Usually it’s the males that lead in the dance, but since you don’t know how, you’d rather follow her instead of tripping over your own feet every time.
  284. >It was confusing at first, but you finally get the hang of it.
  285. >You can still feel the other ponies’ gaze on you, but this time, they do so without hiding it, finally having a reason to look and stare at you.
  286. >You ignore them and look at your partner’s face instead, she’s smiling at you.
  287. >You return the gesture in kind.
  288. >After a while more ponies enters the dance floor, and you both decide to go back to your seat; you’re too tired to continue anyways.
  289. >And it seems the Princess doesn’t mind.
  290. >As soon as you two sit down a purple pony starts to have an animated chat with her.
  291. >She introduces you to her.
  292. >Her name is Twilight Sparkle, another Alicorn, which means another princess.
  293. >And her brother was your best man tonight.
  294. >Shining Armour is his name.
  295. >You thought it was Amour, but its close enough.
  296. >Eventually, the party dies down and the ponies have been leaving one by one.
  297. >All in all the reception was a success.
  298. >There was food, dancing, laughter and the occasional conversation to ponies that gathered up enough courage and introduced themselves to you.
  299.
  300. >The Princess stands up once again and said that everyone should go home now as she has other duties to attend to.
  301. >“Anonymous, please follow me,” she says to you, “it’s time for us to raise the sun.”
  302. >You follow her to the balcony and took your place behind her.
  303. >“Please stand by my side, the citizens needs to see my husband with me.”
  304. >That was the first time she mentions you as her husband, it’s a bit unnerving.
  305. >Following her command you stand beside her, looking down below the balcony.
  306. >Surprisingly, there’s a group of ponies looking at the Princess as she raises the sun.
  307. >She starts and you see her horn glowing from her magic, she makes this seem effortless.
  308. >You’re about to say that the sun looked amazing but when you looked at her, the words caught in your mouth.
  309. >She looks dazzling.
  310. >How her mane would flow reflecting the sun’s rays, and how her white coat shines in the sun.
  311. “You’re beautiful.”
  312. >Crap, you’re supposed to say ‘That was beautiful’.
  313. >You see a tint of pink emerge from her cheeks.
  314. >“Thank you,” she says as she exits the balcony beckoning you to follow her to her room.
  315. >You stay there a moment longer looking at the sky and Canterlot.
  316. >You can’t help but think to yourself, your new life begins now.
  317.
  318. >You follow the princess to her room.
  319. >It’s located deep inside the castle; thankfully it isn’t that long of a walk.
  320. >She opened the door and stepped inside, you follow her.
  321. >Stepping inside, you glance around the room.
  322. >It certainly is big.
  323. >You can see a dinner table and a complete kitchen at the corner, a fireplace coupled with a large couch, bookshelves filled with dusty old books, and even a large bathroom.
  324. >And you see it, her bed.
  325. >Your subconscious has avoided looking at it.
  326. >It’s not until you see the whole room that you finally force yourself to look at it.
  327. >This is the Princess’ bed.
  328. >She sleeps there.
  329. >And after tonight, you will too.
  330. >With her.
  331. >The nerves you were feeling during the wedding comes back, two-fold this time.
  332. >You decide to sneak a glance to her.
  333. >She’s looking at the floor, unable to say anything; you can also see her cheeks turning red again.
  334. >She doesn’t know how to proceed.
  335. >You don’t either.
  336. >How exactly does this work?
  337. >Usually when others get married they consummate the marriage by sleeping together.
  338. >Since your wedding isn’t exactly a traditional wedding you’re at a loss on what to do.
  339. >Finally, you decide to speak up.
  340. “Why don’t you take a shower first, Princess? And once you finish, I’ll take one too.”
  341. >You ask, hoping to buy you some time to think of something.
  342. >“Y-yes!” she responds almost immediately, “I-I mean, yes. I would love to shower first.”
  343. >Your eyes follow her as she walks, faster than normal, to her bathroom.
  344. >You hear the lock click.
  345. >Instead of standing around, you decide to look at the bookshelf.
  346. >You take a random book out of the shelf.
  347. >It’s dusty and old; it probably hasn’t been opened in a while.
  348. >There’s no name on it, not even an author, only a date.
  349. >The book is dated a couple of years ago.
  350. >You decide to look at another one.
  351. >Yup, same thing, it’s dated too, all of them are.
  352. >And all of them seems to be written by hand, or hoof.
  353. >These must be the Princess’ journals.
  354. >All of them are.
  355. >She must have kept track of her life in these books.
  356. >You look at all of them; they stretch from one side of the room to the other.
  357. >There are hundreds of them.
  358. >It’s easy to forget that she’s more than a thousand years old.
  359. >It makes you feel like a child.
  360. >You walk away from the bookshelf and open a window, feeling the warm air on your skin.
  361. >You glance at the door of the bathroom.
  362. >She’s been there for quite some time now.
  363. >You chuckle.
  364. >Even though she agreed to this she’s actually pretty nervous about the whole thing.
  365. >You can have some serious fun with this.
  366. >But you push the thought out of your mind for now.
  367. >She’s not the only one nervous, you are too.
  368. >But the warm air calms you down.
  369. >Just a bit.
  370.
  371. >“I’m done,” you hear a voice coming from behind you.
  372. >You immediately rush to the bathroom, without looking at the Princess, locking the door behind you.
  373. >Nope, you definitely didn’t notice her wet mane.
  374. >Or her glowing coat.
  375. >Or her smell.
  376. >Fuck.
  377. >Okay, you’re blushing now.
  378. >You really should control yourself better.
  379. >You strip off your formal attire and step in the shower.
  380. >The warm water splashes on your back.
  381. >It’s quite relaxing.
  382. >Then you start thinking about what’s outside the bathroom and you start to panic again.
  383. >You decide to count to 100.
  384. >...
  385. >...
  386. “98, 99, 100.”
  387. >That didn’t help at all.
  388. >Okay, 200.
  389. “1, 2...”
  390. >Still not working, 400 then.
  391. >500.
  392. >Nothing is working for you.
  393. >You become more and more nervous by the minute.
  394. >Deciding the shower isn’t helping with your nerves at all, you decide to step out.
  395. >All it did was delay the inevitable and made you wrinkly.
  396. >You grab a towel out of the little closet and dry yourself off.
  397. >You even spot some clothes made for you inside.
  398. >The Princess must have stocked it for your convenience.
  399. >Finally looking presentable you step out of the bathroom.
  400.
  401. >The first thing you notice is that the light has been turned off.
  402. >The Princess must be shy.
  403. >Your eyes adjust quickly enough and you make your way to her bed.
  404. >She’s laying down under the covers, hiding from you.
  405. >You gently grab the covers and remove it, exposing her to you.
  406. >Her eyes tightly closed, her body facing away from you.
  407. >You slowly lift your hand and place it on her neck, gently caressing her.
  408. >She’s shaking.
  409. >Of course she is, everyone is nervous during their first time.
  410. >But this isn’t right.
  411. >Only when your partner completely loves you, should you be able to do this.
  412. >But not now.
  413. >Instead you gently grab her chin and kiss her on the forehead, carefully avoiding her horn.
  414. >You could feel her face warm up.
  415. “We should wait.”
  416. >As you speak to her, she looks up at you, not shaking anymore.
  417. >A few seconds pass and she says, “I agree. I am tired Anonymous, I would like to sleep now. Goodnight.”
  418. >You are surprised that she can casually brush you off and you chuckle at that.
  419. “Goodnight Princess.”
  420. >She moves closer to the edge of the bed, making space for you.
  421. >Instead you got up and walked to the couch.
  422. >“Where are you going?” she asks, propping herself off the bed to look at you.
  423. “I can sleep on the couch.”
  424. >And with that she plops back down.
  425. >Grabbing a blanket out of the closet you find a comfortable position in the couch to lie on.
  426. >This has been a really, really long day.
  427. >Before you can plan on what to do tomorrow, you fall straight to sleep.
