  1. >You glumly look out the window of the moving train, watching raindrops drip down.
  2. >Twilight had come over this morning with a letter with a strange seal on it, saying that you were to head to Canterlot, the capitol city, and meet with Princess Celestia. Twilight and Fluttershy were to accompany you, but you were still pissed off at Fluttershy for bringing the goddamn manticore to you.
  3. >Seriously, what part of her thought it was a good idea to bring the thing that almost killed you and place it in front of you when you woke up.
  4. >And here you were, boarded on the train to Canterlot, trying to ignore Fluttershy and Twilight as they made idle conversation.
  5. >You felt slightly nervous about this whole visit. Twilight had said she would get in contact with this Celestia p0ny, but the summoning was on extremely short notice. You didn’t feel like you were in any trouble or danger though, as you hadn’t done anything to incur anyone’s anger.
  6. >And hey, maybe this Princess could help you get home. Maybe you could get home today?
  7. >You feel a twinge of sadness as you contemplate returning home. You didn’t belong here in Equestria, but Fluttershy has been nothing but nice to you, save for making you shit your pants in fear. She showed genuine concern for you, and you liked to think of her as a friend, one of the few you had.
  8. >As the train pulls to a stop outside the huge city, which you assumed to be Canterlot, you are approached by two armour clad guards on the station platform, one unicorn and the other pegasi.
  9. >They walk towards you and you begin to panic, stepping back towards Fluttershy. You notice Twilight frowning at the unicorn, whose “cutie mark” was that of a shield, suitable given that he’s more likely than not a royal guard.
  10. >”It’s ok Anon, they wont want to hurt you.” Fluttershy says reassuringly, but you remain anxious.
  11. >”Do you understand me?” asks the unicorn slowly.
  12. >You nod nervously, and the unicorn clears his throat. “I am going to perform a short, harmless scan on you. There is nothing to be afraid of. Just, stay, still.”
  13. >God, this guard is probably thinking that’s he’s doing you a favour, but speaking like that is nothing but patronising… fuck it, let’s get this pointless security scan or whatever it is over and done with.
  14. >The unicorn’s horn glows and a beam of light surrounds your body.
  15. >Whoa, you feel a little tingly…
  16. >You look down and recoil at the sight. You could see through your body, to your skeletal structure, as if you were being scanned by a huge x-ray machine.
  17. >This the coolest thing that you’ve ever seen, but by god if seeing your own bones wasn’t unnerving.
  18. >The beam of light makes its way from your feet, up to your ribs, and past your neck. You wish p0nies had the capabilities to record footage, you’d had killed to see what your head looked like.
  19. >The beam of light fades and the unicorn turns to its companion.
  20. >”Tell the Princess that the “Anon” is not a changeling, I repeat, not a changeling. He also does not have any weapons on him, nor hidden claws or poison glands.”
  21. >You were right, that was a security scan. Makes sense given that you’re going to be visiting a member of royalty.
  22. >The pegasi nods, salutes and flies off, presumably to tell the Princess that everything is clear. The unicorn sighs, before turning to Twilight.
  23. >”Sorry ‘bout that Twiley, gotta take care of security first.”
  24. >Wait, Twilight knew this dude?”
  25. >”Shining, I told you Anon was ok. Don’t you trust me? And he’s a human, not an “anon””
  26. >”Celestia’s orders, little sis. Ever since the changeling invasion, she’s tripled security. I barely even get to see Cadence anymore, I’m that worked out!”
  27. >Little sis? Changelings? Cadence?
  28. >”I know Shining Armour.” Twilight sighs. “Anyway, let’s get to Celestia. I’m sure Anon here doesn’t appreciate us holding him up with this personal conversation.”
  29. >”Whatever Twiley, I’ve got to go to the barracks anyways. Say hi to mom and dad for me, will ya?”
  30. >”Will do, BBBFF!” Twilight and Shining Armour share a brief hug, before his horn glows, and he disappears with a pop.
  31. >Teleportation, huh. After everything you’ve seen already, this doesn’t faze you one bit.
  32. >”You’re probably wondering who that was and what just happened, aren’t you?”
  33. >You nod.
  34. >”Well, I’ll tell you on the way to Celestia. Follow me!”
  35. >You follow Twilight down the bustling street, attracting curious glances from the diminutive p0nies.
  36. >”That was my big brother best friend forever, Shining Armour. He’s the captain of the royal guard, and he’s in charge of making sure that no harm comes to Celestia.”
  37. >Well, that explains who he is, but what was that about changelings?
  38. >As if Twilight could read your mind, she continued on. “A few months ago, Canterlot was invaded by the changelings, a group of parasites who pose as someone close to you, and feed off the love that you give. They were lead by Chrysalis, who pretended to be my brother’s special somep0y, Cadence, who was trapped below Canterlot. We fended them off, but ever since that day we’ve had to be more careful, as Celestia was almost killed by Chrysalis.”
  39. >Wow.
  40. >You thought this land of colourful, talking p0nies was too wholesome. You knew there’d have to be conflict somewhere. Looks like you found it.
  41. >Hmm, changelings feed off love eh. Sounds like they… are feeling the love.
  42. >You faintly hear someone scream, “Yeah!”, and Fluttershy cringes. “Who was that? Is somep0ny in trouble?”
  43. >Twilight rolls her eyes. “It’s probably nothing. Anyways, did I answer any questions you wanted to ask? I mean, I know you can’t ask, which the entire point of this is, but you know what I’m saying…”
  44. >You nod, your curiosity satiated. You were now impatient to meet this Celestia individual, and you picked up the pace, heading towards the palace which was most likely where Celestia was.
  45. >You quickly reach the palace, word apparently having been spread about your arrival, and as such the guards did not treat you as if you were suspicious or dangerous, which was a relief.
  46. >You are accompanied through the building, enraptured by the impressive architecture. You knew these p0nies had magic, but this was still a feat of engineering, creating a building this impressive.
  47. >As you enter a huge room, you notice a white skinned P0ny descending off a large throne, which was ascended at the back of the room. You could see that this p0ny was much larger than the others, and more prominently, this p0ny had both wings and a horn.
  48. >It wouldn’t take a genius to figure out who this is.
  49. >As Princess Celestia draws nearer, you go down on one knee, not wishing to appear disrespectful.
  50. >”Rise, Anonymous.” Her voice was powerful and commanding, but also… strangely gentle, and kind.
  51. >You straighten your self up, still taller than her. She locked gazes with you, her eyes sparkling with an intensity you’d never seen before.
  52. >”So, you are the one who my most faithful student told me about. It is a pleasure to meet you. I also offer my sympathies for your arrival, the Everfree forest is unforgiving.”
  53. >That voice… it made you weak at the knees. It was the voice of someone who has seen too much, the voice of someone far greater than you or any other human.
  54. >It crossed your mind that you may be in the presence of a God. Not God, as in God God, the talking sky man, but an actual, corporeal deity.
  55. >You’d certainly have a lot to talk about when you got home, oh wait…
  56. >”I have also been informed of your inability to speak, which I also sympathize for. If I may, may I form a psychic link between us? It would allow for proper conversing.”
  57. >You glance back towards Twilight and Fluttershy, who nod. Going off them, you nod your head.
  58. >”Very well then. Stay still, and do not panic.”
  59. >You feel something gently probe your mind, the sensation almost indescribable. It was like someone building a bridge out of light, between two people’s heads. This was incredible…
  60. >Suddenly, the room around you fades away, until there is nothing but Celestia, who stands in front of you, eyes closed.
  61. >”CAN YOU HEAR ME?” booms a voice, emanating from seemingly everywhere.
  62. “What the fuck!” you shout, before shock freezes you in place. Did you just shout? Did you actually just say something?
  63. >”DO NOT FORGET, WE ARE INSIDE EACH OTHER MINDS, DETACHED FROM THE CORPOREAL WORLD. IN HERE, THE ARE NO LIMITATIONS, NO RESTRICTIONS.”
  64. “Ok, ok! You mind turning down that voice of yours?”
  65. >You feel the intensity of the psychic connection decrease. “Is this preferable?”
  66. “Yeah, that’s much better. Wow, it feels weird actually having a conversation with someone. Never thought I’d first speak with a p0ny though.”
  67. >You sense Celestia laughing. “Indeed, as I never thought I would speak with a human again… I assume Twilight Sparkle informed you of humanity’s past?”
  68. “Yeah, she told me. Not the most pleasant times, apparently.”
  69. >”To call those times unpleasant would be a gross understatement. Those times were utter chaos.”
  70. “Well, I’m sorry to hear that… Look Celestia, I’m going to cut to the chase. I came here to find out if you could send me home or not, and I know that sounds selfish…”
  71. >”It is not selfish to seek a way home, Anonymous…”
  72. >…
  73. “Well, can you send me home or not?”
  74. >”We could…”
  75. “I don’t like that hesitation, Celestia.”
  76. >…
  77. >”If we were to send you home, we would require a few months of preparation. Traversing the planes of existence is dangerous at best, and every precaution must be ensured that we send you to the right dimension.”
  78. >Fuck. A few months…
  79. “That’s a hell of a time to wait… but you’re sure you can send me home?”
  80. >”If we work diligently, we can arrange for your return in that time.”
  81. “Well, that’s better than nothing. Thank you, for trying at least.”
  82. >”You are welcome Anonymous. I assume you will wish to stay with Fluttershy during the wait?”
  83. “I guess so; she’s been quite keen to have me stay with her.”
  84. >”Very well. Prepare thyself; I am breaking the mental connection.”
  85. “Wait!”
  86. >”What is it? Is there something wrong?”
  87. “It’s just… I’ve never been able to do this, talk like this before. It’s nice.”
  88. >”I understand. You must get lonely, unable to communicate properly with others.”
  89. “Yeah, I do. It’s hard, Celestia… and it doesn’t help that people think I’m stupid because of my silence. I’ve never been treated as well as others. Even the p0nies here treat me like I’m some sort of animal; they don’t treat me like an equal… I suppose I can’t blame them.”
  90. >”In time, they will come to see you as an equal. I know you are not weak-minded, Anonymous. Stay strong and things will turn out for the better.”
  91. “I suppose… thanks.”
  92. >You feel the connection between you and Celestia weaken slowly, and the room gradually comes back into focus.
  93. >You sway on your feet dizzily, as you snap back into focus. Celestia looks at you, smiling kindly, before turning to Fluttershy.
  94. >”Anonymous has requested that he stay with you for a period of a few months. Would you be willing…?”
  95. >”Of course Celestia, I’d love to have Anon!” Fluttershy squeals, her adorableness shining through.
  96. >”Very well. Twilight, I will request that you send weekly reports on how Anonymous fares, and relay any news I have for him.”
  97. >”You can count on me, Princess!”
  98. >Celestia nods, before facing you. “Good luck Anonymous, I will try my hardest to get you home.”
  99. >You wrap your arms around her neck, before bowing one last time. Celestia dismisses the three of you and you leave the throne room, cautiously optimistic.
  100. >A few months… think of it as an extended holiday. Yeah, think of it like that. Hope grows in your heart and you smile, oblivious to your faraway onlooker.
  101.
  102. >You snap the telescope back and wonder to yourself. Blueblood, you dastardly handsome devil, you.
  103. >You’d noticed the strange newcomer as soon as he entered the palace, and had watched from a distance, and upon closer look, you had remembered.
  104. >This individual was a human, long gone from Equestria… until now.
  105. >You begin scheming, a grand plan already forming in your head.
  106. >You were a p0ny of class and grandeur, and as such you enjoyed collecting objects… and creatures of rarity.
  107. >Perhaps it was time to revive the traditions of the past… humans were in style this season…
  108. >You chuckle to yourself, not concerned with how to find this human in the future. You had your means and your contacts, the best money could buy. This human would be found, and he’d be paid a visit vey soon… paid a visit by a certain pair of travelling salesmen…
