- >Month 4 in Equestria
- >You stretch out under an apple tree, seeking shelter from the brutal midday sun.
- >You’ve been working the trees since the fifth day, helping Applejack carry laden baskets of apples back to the barn. It turns out having hands was a distinct advantage in this world. Flutershy certainly wasn’t too happy, her preference being you helped her with the animals, but she accepted your decision.
- >Applejack…
- >You remember that day when she talked to you about inter-species relationships. You had both eventually laughed it off, but now, it was a matter of utmost seriousness.
- >You had gotten over Julie. Applejack had helped you through those tough first couple of months. There was still a longing in your heart, and you knew you would always miss her in some form, but now… you could live with it.
- >Now, there was someone new who you longed for. Someone who completed you, made you feel whole. Comforted you when you needed it most.
- >Of course, it hadn’t been easy at first. You were initially disgusted with yourself for even considering becoming romantically involved with a being outside your species. As the months dragged on, you accepted that, fuck it, you’re never going to be with a human again, and no human will ever know of this. Who gives a damn? Be happy.
- >Speaking of which, here she comes now…
- >”Enjoyin’ yourself, Sugarcube?”
- “I was until you came along.”
- >Applejack smiles and settles down next you. You enjoy the moment of your being together. You take it all in – her golden blond hair, defined, muscular body. She was beautiful.
- >She looks up at you, her piecing green eyes locked on with yours. “Ah know you’re thinkin’ about something Anon. Ya care to tell?”
- “Well…” You absentmindedly stroke her mane as you look off into the distance. “To tell you the truth, I was thinking about asking someone to be my special somep0ny.”
- >She sits upright. “That’s great Anon! Glad t’see you’ve met somep0ny who you care so much about.”
- “Oh yeah, there’s no-one in Equestria who I care more about.”
- >”So… who’s the lucky mare?”
- >You run a finger along her back while you lock eyes with her.
- “You might know her… she’s got a fierce temper, and speaks the truth at every turn. She might work too hard, sure, but she knows how to relax and have a good time.”
- >Applejack is staring intently up at you.
- “She can be a bit proud, but knows when to apologise, and always looks out for her friends. She’s the most hospital p0ny I know – there was even this one time, when she let an alien who woke up in her orchard stay with her, for months on end…”
- >Applejack’s face is now inches from your own, her eyes boring into yours.
- >Here we go. Too late to back out now.
- “Hey Applejack… would you like to be my special somep0ny?”
- >Her lips lock with yours, giving you all the answer you need.
- >The two of you remain under the apple tree for what seemed like hours, exploring each other’s mouths. Making out with a pony was… unusual.
- >But damn if it didn’t feel good.
- >Eventually, the kiss is broken off, and you both lie there, panting.
- “I’ll take that as a yes then.”
- >”Damn right ya will.” Applejack grins, and hoists herself up. “Cmon loverboy, we’ve still got an orchard to work.”
- >You run your hands down her sides, eliciting a moan from her. “Not… fair. Now c’mon, just because we’re now in a relationship doesn’t mean I can’t dock your pay for slackin’ off.”
- “You wouldn’t dare.”
- >”Try me Anon.” she says before walking off, her hips swaying. You know she’s got that grin on her face, the grin whenever she gets her way.
- “I have to go to Fluttershy’s anyway!” you shout after her, before tutting to yourself and getting up. Once a week for four months now, you headed down to Fluttershy’s to pick up fresh fish. It was no substitute for a steak, but it’d have to do. A fresh, lean, dripping stea… stop that.
- >As you walk down the familiar trail, towards P0nyville, Rainbow Dash joins you. She was pretty much your best friend here. Every week you found time to hang out with her, go drinking together or just lie in the park, telling her tales of Earth. You still remember her reaction when you told her about the moon landings. Absolutely priceless.
- “Hey Dash! How are you this fine afternoon?”
- >”I’m the happiest I’ve ever been Anon! You know the Wonderbolt’s tryouts a couple of months ago?”
- >You nod. Spitfire had kept up her end of the bargain and specially selected Rainbow Dash to compete. You were lucky, since hundreds of pegasi applied and all but 11 others got into the tryouts.
- “Yeah, I remember. Did you find out who was selected?”
- >”Yeah, Spitfire came over this morning. Anon, I’m a Wonderbolt now!”
- >You scoop her up into a hug.
- “I knew you could do it! Well fucking done! I told you that you could show the Wonderbolts a thing or two!”
- >”Thanks to you Anon. If not for you, I might never have even got in the first place.”
- “Are you kidding me? You’re Rainbow Dash. THE Rainbow Dash. The space in the Wonderbolts was yours from the start.”
- >She blushes. “Thanks Anon, it means a lot coming from you.”
- “I mean it Dashie. You’re the most talented Pegasus in Equestria.”
- >She looks up you, eyes widening. “Y-you mean it?”
- “Absolutely Dash.”
- >She looks back down at the ground, before looking back up hesitantly. “Look, Anon, there’s something I’ve wanted to ask you for a while now. Would you…”
- “Wait, there’s one more thing I wanted to tell you. You know the way me and Applejack have been pretty close lately?”
- >She nods, but fear is suddenly etched into her face.
- “Well, I asked her this very afternoon if she’d be my special somep0ny.”
- >”W-what did she say?”
- “She said yes! I can’t believe it myself… is there something wrong Dash?”
- >Rainbow Dash looks like she’s going to cry. “No, nothings wrong…” She forces a smile. “That’s great! I’m happy for you two.”
- “Thanks Dash, but is something wrong? You look like you’re going to cry.”
- >”Nothing’s wrong!” She shouts, and you fall back in surprise.
- >”I gotta go.” She takes off, rainbow coloured trail following her through the sky.
- >Well, that was weird. Better to talk to her later, find out what’s wrong.
- >You damn well know what’s wrong…
- The fuck you talking about, brain?
- >Oh come on. The way she looks at you when you tell her stories, the way she snuggles up to you when she gets the chance...
- Just being friendly. That’s all.
- >Oh really? What about her making time for you every week. Popular mare like her, yet you never see her with any stallions, and she makes time for you, when you can’t even hang out around her house?
- We’re just good friends.
- >Keep thinking that. Denying the truth won’t change it, though.
- You’re talking shit. There’s a reason why I shut you up with alcohol every weekend.
- >You dust your ass down and continue heading to Fluttershy’s, troubled by your thoughts. Could Rainbow Dash really like you like you that way? Sure, she’d always been… snugly, but you put that down to friendliness and her fascination with humans.
- >Remember back when Twilight was talking notes, and Rainbow’s wings unfolded when you stripped naked?
- “Fuck off, brain.”
- >”I’m sorry?”
- >You look down and notice Fluttershy. You had walked all the way to her cottage without noticing.
- “Sorry Fluttershy, I was lost in thought. I’m here for my weekly supply.”
- >”Oh of course, come right in.” You had never gotten over how soft her voice was. At least now she didn’t flinch at the sight of you.
- >She enters her kitchen and comes back out with a sealed bag of fish. Apparently, she looked after some otters, so she was ok with killing fish.
- “Thanks Fluttershy. Listen, can I ask you something?”
- >”Of course Anonymous, what is it?”
- “You know the way pegasi wings sometimes get stiff… what does that mean?”
- >She blushes, obviously remembering your first encounter in which you tickled her wings. “Well, pegasi wings can be quite sensitive… sexually.”
- >Aw shit.
- “That’s if you touch them, yes? What if they extend on their own?”
- >”Well, then generally means a Pegasus is trying to get the um… “attention” of a stallion.”
- “You mean, she’s saying she wants to fuck the stallion?”
- >Fluttershy cringes. “Yes, pretty much.”
- >You remember Twilight’s house… and come to think of it, all the other times you spent together. Swimming in the lake. Hanging out in the bar. Messing around in the park. All those times she got a “wingboner.”
- >All those times, she was trying to get your “attention.”
- >Fuck.
- “Well, thanks Fluttershy. Sorry about the first time we met. I didn’t mean to-“
- >”Oh no, it’s ok Anonymous. You didn’t know. Though come to think about it, it was rather nice…”
- >NOPE
- “Bye Fluttershy.” You quickly make your exit from the cottage and high-tail it back to the orchard.
- >You greet Applejack with a peck on the cheek. “Ah’ve already told Granny Smith and th’others.
- “And?”
- >”They want to talk to ya.”
- >You make your way into the sitting room, where the rest of the Apple clan is seated.
- “So… yeah. Applejack is my special somep0ny.”
- >Big Macintosh stands up and walks over to you.
- >Ohshitoshit
- >”If you make mah sister happy, then you’re good in mah books.” He suddenly wraps you in a crushing hug.
- “Thanks, I guess. Granny Smith?”
- >”Ah think the two of you make the darned cutest couple!”
- “Ok then. Applebloom?”
- >”I knew you an’ Applejack would get together, I just knew it! Still haven’t got my cutie mark though…”
- >You rustle her mane.
- “Thanks, all of you. I appreciate you being supportive. I was kinda worried you’d be upset at the unconventional aspect of it. I’m glad you’re here for me.”
- >”Eeyup.”
- >”Now then.” Applejack says as she enters the room. “How about a celebratory meal?”
- “Sounds good to me.”
- >Later that night, you climbed into the covers of your bed, like you did every night. This time though, there was someone else joining you.
- >Applejack climbed in with you and rested her head on your shoulder, and you wrapped an arm around her.
- >”No funny business, mister.”
- “Relax. I’m not going to pressure you.” You kiss her on the top of her head, and turned off the oil lamp.
- >Applejack quickly fell asleep, her gentle breathing relaxing you, but your mind still raced from earlier.
- >Does Rainbow Dash really like you that way? Was that what she was going to ask you earlier?
- >You hoped you wouldn’t end up losing her as a friend over this.
- >But you couldn’t see a way to keep her as friend.
